Ceci's Los Angeles Reviews
This may be the best sandwich I’ve ever had and I am a massive sandwich fan. The focaccia is out of this world and the other ingredients are so fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend and will be dreaming about this sandwich until I can return….
Ceci’s is a little slice of Italy right in Los Angeles. This family-owned spot is conveniently located near downtown and serves some of the best Italian food you’ll find outside of Italy. As an Italian myself, I can tell you that every dish is made with the utmost care, using fresh ingredients and traditional recipes. From house-made focaccia to freshly baked bomboloni, everything is top-notch. Francesca, the owner, is a delight. She greets every guest like family, making you feel welcome and cared for throughout your meal. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Ceci’s M is an absolute must-try. Highly recommend!
The Eastside has a new gastronomia and it's the only one in LA that's "nonna-approved". Freshly made daily, high quality, flavorful Italian food. The pastas, focaccias and desserts are all top-notch. And if that weren't enough, the owners Francesca and Francesco are wonderful people!
Really tasty Italian bakery in silver lake. Service was stellar. Had a nice coffee and several bakery items that were all high-quality. Well-baked and flavorful. This sandwich on focaccia with meatballs and burrata was lovely. A few tables outside that can fill up so just be aware of that and it can be difficult to cross the street if you have to.
After living in Los Angeles for over a year, I can confidently say that Ceci's serves the best food I have eaten here. In terms of Italian food, it is my favorite Italian food I have had in my life. After eating here, I needed to know more about this little slice of Italy in the middle of Silver Lake, and finding out about their story only made me a bigger fan of Ceci's. Everyone needs to try this place.
I absolutely loved the meatball sando, the focaccia was an amazing complement to the meatballs. I added the burrata, but I’m not sure it was necessary. Bomb sandwich
I tried two things here so far and the result is basically the same: fantastic both times. The sandwiches are great and very unique. Also the people are fun and courteous. Spicy marinara is absolute fire
Delicious!!! And they are so friendly! Best focaccia I ever ate!
We got the meatball focaccia sandwich! And it was the best focaccia I’ve had in a really long time! The meatballs were perfectly prepared, tender and flavorful. You can tell the cooks put a lot of intention in their process. My wife got coffee and she was very happy that the coffee came out hot. Our meal tasted very fresh and I’m really looking forward to come back!
Pretty blown away by this place. I had a sandwich with this crisp and soft focaccia, eggplant agrodolce, burrata, and olives. Flavors that blended and popped. And a strong espresso. The guy behind the counter asked me how it was and thanked me for coming. I later looked at the website and he’s the owner and a formally trained chef who has worked in high end restaurants around town. A lot to be said about a place that is owner-operated on a day-to-day basis. Lots of vegetarian options available.
This place is incredibly lovely. The atmosphere, the service, the food, they are all perfect. Just being in the store made me feel happy and at home. Super pet friendly too. Thank you Ceci!
This place is a gem! The focaccia prosciutto sandwich is god-tier good!!! Ingredients are so fresh and the service is great. The owners are a lovely couple and they really care about delivering excellent food. My husband and I love coming here and having a sandwich on the tables outside it’s just perfect.
I don’t write reviews This time I must write This is the best Italian restaurant I have ever been in California ! Will definitely visit next week Sunday morning!!

Ordered three main dishes and a vegetable side for our party of 27 people. It was wonderful. Came ready to cook with clear instructions. More than enough food and everyone said it was delicious. Thank you!
Lost my keys somewhere along Sunset and checked in with Ceci’s to see if anyone turned them in. They didn’t but ownership was so kind and empathetic that they handed over a fresh and delicious piece of tomato focaccia for my troubles. That’s what’s called unreasonable hospitality. Thank you guys, that was incredibly sweet of you and it brightened my day.

This place is an absolute gem. The food is excellent and the people who run it are even better. Not only is the Crudo & Ricotta focaccia sandwich the best I have ever had in my life but the experience of eating here is a balm for the soul. Se sei italiano, vieni a mangiare qui, questa è la vera cucina ligure!
The food: I tried an olive, anchovy and tomato focaccia, good flavors but focaccia on the dry side. I also tried a sugar bun, bread-like and a bit dry. Cute cafe. The decor is well thought out and fitting. Small and nice patio seating. Parking is tough:street/metered
Update: They now have a pretty nice outdoor seating setup! Great to see that they are expanding, and I've changed my review accordingly. I'm always particularly excited when a new restaurant space opens up near my neighborhood and that's especially true when it's something as cute as Ceci's. The focaccia with tomatoes and sardines is a real winner here. I'll definitely be coming back for that. The service is also really excellent, and the owners are very sweet and clearly care a lot about what they make. But but those things being said, everything else makes it a little bit overpriced, especially considering that there's really no seating and it's all to go orders. If I'm going to pay $16 for a piece of lasagna, I really want to be able to sit down at the restaurant and eat it. I also wish that they had Italian-style coffee, because it's a perfect spot for that. I know they're new so hopefully they can work out some of the kinks and then it'll be a truly great food spot! I'm really rooting for them. ❤️

We stopped into Ceci's Gastronomia and tried the Polpette Al Sugo and the Crudo & Ricotta sandwiches; both were delicious, with really good focaccia and fillings that felt balanced rather than heavy. On my list for next time are the Il Mortazza or the Caponata, and I would also love to come back to try their pastas. If parking in the area were easier and it didn't feel like such a production to get here, I could see myself stopping by a lot more often.

Really wanted to like this place, but was disappointed. The bomboloni with custard cream was oddly very dry; I thought the cream should have helped, but it didn't. The lasagna al ragu had a good flavor, but the portion size was tiny. I did takeout, so maybe it is better to dine in?
