Crawfords Los Angeles Reviews
Absolutely love the low key homey vibe here! Good beer, good music and simple but good food. The green chile Mac was quite tasty
A great local spot. Friendly service, extensive drink selection at reasonable prices. Will be going back to check out the chicken!
Ice cold $3 draft bud, fried chicken, tasty boiled peanuts, and fresh pie on Fridays. All the bartenders have been super chill.
Great bar that is trucking along. You can dine/drink outside on the sidewalk or take everything home. The hot chicken is great!!!!!!!
I've been meaning to try their chicken. Sorry I took so long. The chicken is very good, along with the baked beans. Too bad I was a Rideshare driver on duty, otherwise I would have had some beer. La prossima volta!
I was unsure when I first visited Crawfords, which is right down the street from me, as it's sold in reviews as only a beer and wine bar with chicken but mysteriously raving reviews. Upon opening the seemingly random door on a dead street, the first impression is surprisingly warm. Lots of people having fun, Dodgers game on the TV, and a bartender yelling at you to close the door for AC reasons. The beer and wine selection is above average and the chicken is jaw droppingly good. I had the hot version and it hit the spot, super flavorful and spicy but not painful. The mac and cheese is like the building, looks unassuming but then hits you with flavor and a subtle green chili flavor... and best of all the night out won't break the bank. Go for it.
This place is a hidden gem in this neibourhood! Chill atmosphere and friendly bartender, I loved it. If the music is too loud, you can go to outside table. I had really good time with my friend.
Great vibe, good beer and excellent fried chicken. This spot is the ultimate hipster heaven. They've got few arcades and nice leather booths. It can get crowdeed but there's plenty of open space to hangout. Gentrification, love it or hate it, brings sea of change and this spot could be the poster child. The tecate drinking paisas have been replaced with schlitz sipping bearded folk. Mustaches have remained the same. Don't hate and embrace the change. Big shout-out to the owners. It's mid 2016 and you can get $3 Bud on tap here! Keep up the good work!
It's the neighborhood bar. The fried chicken is amazing and all the bartenders are great. It's a great place to hang out. Can get pretty crowded on some days
I like the location, its low key. And a great place to get fried chiken and beer. Its a great small hole in the wall. Great place to go after work and play socialize. Awsome service and crowd. Good meal for under $10.
Super kind staff, really great selection of beers, amazing atmosphere during the COVID-19 pandemic. Outside seating is refreshing and chill. Highly recommend!
If it's anything like the Crawford's off the 134 by Vons and Smart and Final, then shiver me timbers and call me Uncle Mitch! This is my favorite restaurant in the world! I used to think that this "Beverly Hills" Crawford's was too rich for my blood, but anything this close to the 101 is surely incredible. See you soon, Crawford's! SERIOUSLY. Fried chicken? Heck yes. Boiled peanuts? Double heck yes! And don't tell me they have trivia... seriously, don't tell me. I want to be surprised! :) :) :) (they have trivia, I just googled it :)
The spicy fried chicken is ~really~ spicy, though utterly delicious. Friendly people, chill atmosphere, a pool table AND arcade games. Will probably be coming back here a lot.
I was on my way home and decided to grab a ice cold beer! best choice i've ever made. Loved the spicy fried chicken! best i've had in a long time. And the beer is ice cold.
The perfect bar. My favorite in LA. Great fried chicken, cheap beer.
The essence of a dive bar with the intoxicating scents of fried chicken wafting across the room. Taco Bell adjacent to the bar, but don't park in their lot (it's not Crawford's parking).
Super cool, great, comfortable atmosphere, very friendly and cool bartenders! It's the kind of place you can go to over and over again and never get tired of. I recommend it highly!
Delicious spicy hot fried chicken and cole slaw. $3 drafts of ice cold Budweiser. A bit crowded, so go early and often.
Crawfords is a great place that is kind of in the middle of nowhere. I mean, it's close to Koreatown, and down the way from Echo Park and Silverlake, but basiacally it's a pocket of awesomeness. The crowd is mixed, but I mean that in a good way. The food they serve is exclusively carnivorous, but the taco truck outside has your back as long as you know how to say, "Sin carne". This is one of my favorite places to drink alone.
This is literally the best bar in LA!! If you’ve ever watched Cheers, Crawford’s is where you go and every body knows your name. The best food, THE BEST SERVICE ❤️❤️, the best pool play in town hands down. Glad there’s no alcohol here so I can stay longer!!
Spent two nights here while in L.A after riding Route 66 from Chicago. The beer really is cold and the fried chicken tastes amazing. Friendly staff and a great crowd of all sorts of cool people. Thanks for looking after this English guy. Very unassuming place from the outside but they've done it out just perfect inside. If I had a bar, it would look like this. Keep it up guys.
Beer and chicken. Came too late recently and wish there was leftover cold chicken. Beers were delicious. Bar was fun and friendly. Great staff. Can tell they care about regulars and locals. Much love to this fave spot
Great fried chicken in a classic dive bar setting. Outdoor seating on the front sidewalk is somehow awkward and quaint at the same time. I enjoyed the music selection. Parking is iffy but I'll be back.
I love the chicken but they don't have ranch dressing so I've been hiding packets of Hidden Valley ranch all around. Whoever stole the one I taped under the pool table I'm not mad or anything but can we have a take a ranch leave a ranch type thing going?
Only open a couple of days a week, but the fried chicken is so worth waiting if you have a craving. Dive bar with a pool table and a couple of TVs.
Great spicy fried chicken and a fun place to play pool ( theres a board, you write your name on it) and have a beer. Divey. Spicy friend chicken is paid for twice, once on the bill and again when it comes out of you ;) well worth it
My neighbors brought me here and I'm so glad they did cuz their fried chicken made me happy cry. It's just SO effing good! Chill atmosphere, unique and tasty selection of beers, and always a great soundtrack in the background. The bartenders are friendly, engaging, and the service is always fast even during a rush. Honestly, it's quite possibly one of the top neighborhood bars I've ever visited and within perfect walking distance. Oh, parking isn't a thing. Walk, bike, scooter, or uber/lyft is best unless you want to hunt for street parking or get harrased by the guard at the Tommy's lot across the street.
There was a huge need to open a place that specializes in spicy chicken, cheap beer and sports... So this place is terminally crowded, which it deserves because the chicken is just the kind of juicy, greasy perfection you need after a long day. Seriously it's so good.
This has become my neighborhood bar! Pros: -$4 Budweisers! That's all you need to know! -Their food is under rated. I've had their spicy chicken, beans, coleslaw and fries. And they're all delicious. -Pool table adds to the vibes. They only have one, but that's what makes it fun. You put your name down and play with strangers. Amazing way to build rapport and make new friends. You can bring quarters or pay at the bar. Sometimes they make it free on the house! -The decor is great. There's an upside down canoe on the ceiling. -Bartenders are friendly and chatty if you want them to be. Not stuck up at all. Go! And see for yourself. Tip your bartenders!
Great little dive bar. This place has a nice atmosphere/vibe, and good deals on beer ($4 for an ice-cold Budweiser). The fried chicken is great too.
This is the kind of microbrewery I love. First, the facility is located next to the train tracks in Echo Park in what appears to be a former factory/warehouse. The food is delicious with vegan and vegetarian selections that don't taste like vegan and vegetarian selections. The beer is delicious and appropriately priced.
This place will forever be locked into my mind as special. I applaud the bartender, the people inside and the establishment itself for being so on board and helpful when I proposed to my girlfriend (she said yes). The only thing I wish to change is the kitchen closing time, since we couldn't indulge in their glorious fried chicken. We'll get there earlier next time though. Thank you, Crawfords. You were a huge part of my future and I'll be forever grateful 🙏
Ice cold, $3 Bud on draft served in a frosted mug where the head crystallizes. The patrons don jean jacket and moustaches, all of them hip and cool. But don't let any of that deter you. You'll meet the friendliest people here, staff and bar-goer alike. There's a solitary pool table, Midwestern paraphernalia festooned along the brick walls, and all the fried chicken you could want. I highly recommend Crawford's.
This is the favorite local spot for a close friend. He took me there to play pool and it ended up being a really great place. This is the type of place that I would frequent when living in Wisconsin, kind of a dive bar, although I don't like that term, filled with really nice people. Even the bartender complemented me on being nice and not causing drama. Hahah. I look forward to coming back.
A great bar serving beer and fried chicken. Do not leave without trying the fried chicken. A Taco Bell sits next door if you do not like fried chicken, but you should develop a taste for fried chicken.
Crawfords is the best new thing that happened to my neighborhood. Great local watering hole with amazing southern style hot fried chicken. While they only have a beer and wine license, they make up for it with offering $3 pints every night and having a fun friendly local atmosphere. I will continue to park myself on a bar stool here for the foreseeable future.
I've been coming here ever other week or so since it opened to get some of that delicious fried chicken. I prefer the "hot" spicy chicken with baked beans with a nice tall can of Schlitz or a frosty High Life on draft.
Nice hole in the wall. Gets a little too overcrowded o play a gam of pool after 10, but always quiet enough to talk to someone next to you. Their friend chicken is overpriced ($10 plus a side) but tastes amazing.
MY HUSBAND BROUGHT ME HERE FOR MY FIRST TIME & THE FOOD & CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD👍🏾 VERY CHILL ATMOSPHERE, POOL 🎱 TABLE INSIDE & GREAT MUSIC 🎶 🎵 U CAN DINE IN OR OUTSIDE. VERY OLD SKOOL TYPE OF VIBES BUT A GREAT GEM 💎 THANK U FOR YOUR SERVICE.....
Love me some crawfords. This place is awesome they have a great crowd, cheap drinks, and really good food. There's no insane BS around the pool table like a lot of other dives, and it's fairly easy to find parking in the area. Also, should the fried chicken be too expensive or not your style, there is undeniably a Taco Bell right next door, which is a massive plus for any bar. (Of course, you should get the fried chicken if you can) ((But I'm just saying))
Great dive bar with amazing fried chicken
I love this place. Try the hot fried chicken! Pair it with some cool potato salad. Wash it all down with an ice cold beer.
Really cool vibes - their beer on tap is great!
What a cool little dive bar. Some great pool and a chicken sandwich to die for! Brian the bartender was great, Edgar our server was on point! Excellent beer selection.
Customer service:5 stars without a doubt! Food: 4 1/2 (the chicken is fried to perfection, but considering their clientele, they don't add much herbs or spices....at least they give you a salt pack that is greatly needed). They have a nice selection of beers and they are served cold....what else do you want! Atmosphere: 5 stars if you can get a seat inside, 4 if it's outside. Overall a good vibe, but it gets crowded early, so if you want a seat inside get there well before sundown.
💎 hidden gem bar, amazing chicken & Craft Beer selection.
Amazing food, service and atmosphere! Our server Mario was fantastic! We have a busy toddler that loves to run around and everyone was totally cool with it. So 10/10 for me!
What a lovely establishment. Excellent service. Friendly beer drinkers and bystanders playing pool. You can’t go wrong with fried chicken AND beer. The pie tonight was pear pie — more like a very elegant, delicious galette. I was told the pies here sell out all the time and although you never know what they’re gonna have, it’s always gonna be good. And it was. 🥲
Just a solid place. Good fried chicken and sides, cheap beer, $1 pool table, and mostly locals. Great neighborhood spot
Awesome staff, patrons, and fried chicken, along with all their great sides, cold tap beer 🍺 with a little pool game, and the music is great.
Fried chicken was amazing! Two wings and a thigh in a order, regular or spicy. We got the spicy chicken, sweet potatoes fries and Mac and cheese which was also tasty. Can't wait to go back.
Great casual neighborhood bar dishing out the most amazing fried chicken. Cold beer, good drinks, excellent bartender, fun place. Accessible, plus a couple of outdoor tables for people and their pets.
Fried chicken, Ice cold beer and friendly games of pool. Order the off menu item The Raoul; on Tuesdays only.
The spicy fried chicken is super spicy! I was not expecting that, but I loved it! The baked beans were spicy too. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Mac n cheese was good. There was a diverse crowd. Anyone would fit in here!
We love this spot for its food, drinks and vibes. The spicy fried chicken and potato salad both HITTT. Finding parking can be tricky but it’s 100% worth it!
Located discreetly on Beverly Blvd, Crawfords is a cozy neighborhood bar that promises a delightful experience for fried chicken enthusiasts. Stepping into Crawfords, you’re welcomed by its unassuming yet inviting atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind and enjoy a laid-back evening. The star of the show at Crawfords is undoubtedly their fried chicken. Whether you opt for the regular or spicy variant, you’re in for a treat. We chose the spicy option and paired it with their delectable mac & cheese, featuring a hint of jalapeño for an extra kick. While some may find the spicy chicken lacking in heat, fear not – there’s an array of sauces available to dial up the spice to your liking. The fried chicken itself is a masterpiece – perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, and succulent on the inside. We indulged in a basket of two wings and a breast, and each bite was pure bliss. The ambiance at Crawfords is delightfully low-key and casual, making it the ideal spot to hang out with friends or enjoy a relaxed evening alone. With a pool table, and ample seating options, there’s something for everyone here. We were particularly impressed by the friendly service provided by the bartender, who was knowledgeable about the menu and eager to ensure we had a great experience. The beer selection, featuring a mix of canned and draft beers, perfectly complemented our meal. It’s worth noting that Crawfords also caters to those on the go, with a steady stream of people popping in for takeout orders. The only downside? Parking can be a bit tricky, with limited spaces available onsite. However, don’t let that deter you from experiencing the culinary delights that Crawfords has to offer. Overall, Crawfords on Beverly Blvd is a hidden gem for fried chicken aficionados, offering delicious food, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere that keeps you coming back for more.
Hugely popular dive bar on Beverly Blvd, half a block West of Rampart. Unassuming, almost unnoticeable from the outside. But inside, it was standing room only, when I was there. There's a true laid back atmosphere, from the decor to the staff. Everyone was cool, just having a good time. But the real star here is the Spicy Fried Chicken. Whether or not you enjoy the crowd or the vast selection of microbrews, the Spicy Fried Chicken is a 'must have!'
If you don’t do anything else stop by and check out the chicken & macaroni🔥 coming from the south (Alabama) I wasn’t expecting much from a Cali chicken spot but the food was actually amazing and the $4 draft buds put the icing on the cake ✅ definitely will be returning, the staff is pretty amazing as well..
Pitch perfect. The mood it chill. The crowd is local east side people. The kitchen is the size of a bathtub but what comes out of it is spectacularly well done. Fried chicken is crunchy on the outside and juices flow throughout. The sides are spot on. Giant dill pickle spear? Hell yes. A glorious selection of canned midwestern macro brews and some local LA and So cal stuff on tap. Folks at the bar were friendly and got orders in fast. On a Sunday at 6pm it was comfortably full, but getting fuller. Hot Fried Chicken FTW.
Wonderful little bar with bar none the best fried chicken I've had in the city, the baked beans were also worth writing home about!
Great place to relax, hang with friends and eat good food for cheap. Great liquor & beer prices as well. Lucky find & definitely coming back.

I ordered the spicy chicken with coleslaw togo and luckily I did. I had such a mess at my table with sauce and cooking oil all over my hands. I don't know how patrons eat this WONDERFUL meal in the restaurant without looking like a "pig." This chicken belongs in my book up there with Tommy's chili.
Love this place!! Ate many o hot fried chicken and boiled peanuts through the covid days!! Beer is cold. Real small place - solid vibe
Stopped in to try their fried chicken. Their online ordering wasn't accepting orders, so I went in and ordered at the counter. It's a small bar, about 10 tables or so h some high tops and others are booths and tables. About 10 more seats at the bar. Ordering was quick and easy at the bar, albeit the loud music which required a louder voice. Took our fried chicken to go, one spicy and the other not. I'd give the nod to the spicy chicken. Both were tender inside, crispy skin and just overall some great fried chicken. The spicy wasn't a burn your face off spicy, but it surely has a lot more flavor than the original. The mac n cheese was a green Chile variety and was tasty.. even better was the bacon BBQ beans. Those were awesome. Overall, a good experience and great food!
I drove past this place a million times thinking, how could such a featureless nondescript cube last here for so long?? Finally decided to go one day and dang!!! Blew me away. Inside is deceptively cozy, there's a pool table and plenty of millennial music. Good cheap beer on tap, fun cans (pickle beer 🤤) and!!! Splendid fried chicken. The spicy is a good, manageable level of a pleasant burn, not ruin-your-day level like Dave's. Tasty, tasty pie. I'm almost reluctant to endorse this place because it's such a hidden gem and I like it that way. Anyway this place rules.
Probably some of the best fried chicken in LA, which I’ll admit is a low bar. But you really can’t beat it. $5 budweiser on tap plus a pool table? What more could you ask for! I make the trek from across town whenever I can.

This place is bomb dotcom. I would return. The water is not tap water, very very rare that you get water like that. The food is great! Not watered down pho, very flavorful.
I've been working on a show in the area and this is our go-to. And for good reason! Bartenders and barbacks are incredibly attentive and down-to-earth (a blessing for an only moderately attractive short boy in LA) and their drinks range from $3 Buds on tap to $7 craft brews and a large selection of bottled drinks. Atmosphere never gets too loud so it's a good place to hang out, catch up, or play pool. Other patrons are very relaxed... there were Pats and Eagles fans hugging it out last week! I do wish there were a bit more seating, hence only 4 stars, but I highly recommend Crawford's to anyone looking for an affordable, friendly drink!
Fried chicken and mac n' cheese are delicious. Will definitely be back for more. The only reason I gave 4 stars is it would be perfect if they had more sitting/eating space.
Found this place via referral, out on a new food excursion. Way more good for the price, ate on this meal for 2 days. One simple menu with few items. Very good, tasty would return.
Had some friends visiting and ended up here- what a find! Fantastic atmosphere, groovy crowd and a great variety of brews. We'll definitely be back.
A great bar with cheap domestic always on tap for $3. It's a love hate with the fried chicken here though. Since first going the recipe has changed and perhaps for the better but quality control is hit or miss. Some days the chicken is spot on and perfectly spicy, others it is burnt a bit and who knows where the spice went. Sides are all wonderful as well as the stewed peanuts you can order.
Wobbly bar stools is the only thing I was bothered by. BUT what I came for exceeded my expectations! ✨✨✨😀I came for the chicken so I didn’t mind my seat. I had a good view of the game 🏀on their TVs. The spicy leg and thigh I got were really well made. The chicken was perfectly tender and properly saturated with flavor. It came out hot and with a side of a thick pickle and bread? The Mac and cheese was cool. Ozzie is super dope. He really helped me through the selection of what y’all had to find the drink best for my preference and that effort was cool to see.
A few nights ago while heading out of Westlake I spotted Crawford's signage. Fried Chicken...Cold Beer. Had to stop and give it a try. I'm sure glad I did! What a cool place. Their fried chicken is perfect, with a southern taste as authentic as the south. Boiled peanuts are the best and the beer is cold. My mouth was watering as I took my first bite into their fried chicken. That sound of crispy as a bit in to the bird was music to my ears and taste buds. Their baked beans and coleslaw was my choice for a side dish, both excellent. Will be coming back here for years to come.
Chicken was good and crispy must have been air fried there's no oil off the chicken. The beer selection could be better,no red stripes,no fosters,no Modelo,no coronas. C'mon guys
I like this spot a lot. It's affordable, unpretentious, and has a good vibe. It's pretty small but I'm always able to find a seat. I'd give it five stars if the chicken was more consistent. Sometimes it's excellent and other times it's just okay, maybe a bit too oily or overdone. But when it's good, it's really good. Must depend on who's working.
Beverly is super busy but still kinda nice to sit outside. Bud on draft was good, and a nice selection of craft beers but not much if you want something simple. Chicken was fresh and pretty good, but wasn’t too flavorful, especially for the price point. Worth checking out but probably won’t be going back too soon, even though I wanted to love this spot.
Cool little place! Beer and fried chicken? Yes, please. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I'm a girl who enjoys a nice rum & coke and Crawfords only has an amazing beer selection and a few wines. Staff is totally cool and the vibe is so nice 👌
Great atmosphere and high energy local dive bar. Good selection of draft and canned beer. The fried chicken was mediocre and crispy, but not the best I’ve ever had… I’ve been eating fried chicken since the womb and definitely think the vibe over powers any of the food options, but definitely worth visiting to say you have been to Crawfords. The $9 sweet potato fries are not edible. I had the bartender request to remake the order as I could not bite into the fry, and unfortunately the second batch was just as bad. Security guy out front was nice and helpful and I enjoyed the “local feels.”
Great neighbor bar, nice ambiance with good music. 4 dollar Budweisers are a shout, can’t complain. Unpretentious spot for locals and visitors alike. Good music and vibes. Pool table is a little cutthroat
Came here for the first time to try their fried chicken wings. They were bomb. I was very happy with it. Great flavor. The mac & cheese and baked beans were delicious. The ambiance was very cool. Its like a small hole in the wall place but once you get inside its very cute, and cozy with filled with colorful lights. They serve beer, wine and some soft drinks. Only thing I disliked about this place is that when someone smokes outside the people are close to the door and the smell comes in the bar which I'm not a fan of. I don't like to eat my food with the smell of cigarette smoke. If they addressed this issue I would give them 5 stars.
Cute little place with a pool table, an arcade game and lovely decorations. Would have loved more food options and to be able to order a beer without having to wait for almost 5' for others to pay; while they were chit-chatting.

A peak dive bar experience. The fried chicken was the piece de resistance but the ice cold beers and pool table really sell the mood. This would be my neighborhood spot if it wasn’t so far.
You could easily walk past this place as it's not much to look at from the outside. Very small inside, popular with locals. Most likely because there is nothing else nearby. I didn't try the chicken, but a lot of people were and seemed to be enjoying it. Bar staff were friendly and helpful, prices were pretty good too.
Chicken is okay. Beer selection is impressive and parking is almost non-existent. Great if you're a local otherwise you can miss this and not feel like you've missed anything special.
Food is good. Bartender is rude as hell. Sorry you have to do your easy job. You get lousy tips cause of your lousy attitude. Should probably be a barista at a hipster coffee shop instead.
The bar is sick and needs to stick around for the sake of having cool bars in the city but the fried chicken is horrible. Hopefully an easy fix though.
The atmosphere is good, the prices are GREAT. You can get a beer for $5 or less. The place is a bit cramped and there's no designated parking. The fried chicken is not worth the calories.
service was mid, chicken was okay at best and it took 35 minutes for our food to be ready. the hot sauce was not good. the sides were the better part of the meal. the vibes of this place are alright though and their $4 beer is a steal.
Went there last night. Pretty cool, laid-back place with a pool table and relaxed feel. Three stars because: the fried chicken was top draw, the beer was cold, there was a decent selection at good prices (5 star for all that), but the bartender was just downright rude, very dismissive, cleared my beer which was still a quarter full, and just generally unpleasant (1 star).
Waited hours to play pool and they ignored me when it came to ordering food. Very busy good place for locals. But outsiders beware you'll be treated like you don't exist. They also over charged me $15. For a can of 12oz° beer 🍺
Get new staff!!!! The bartender was rude and disrespectful for no reason. If you don’t like your job someone else will, you should quit and get out of your misery. Or go to therapy. To the bartender with the mustache and hat. Hell, you may even be the owner lol.
Came to try it out and the staff didn’t even acknowledge me so decided to leave I stood there for a few minutes and the guy at bar just walked by me
This was the strangest fried chicken I have ever had. There was no seasoning in the batter, only spice. The macaroni salad was also incredibly strange. My friend went to get a second Budweiser on tap, the bartender said they just switched to a new keg and it was pouring cloudy, asked if that was ok. It was fine but it wasn’t Budweiser, it was a Whit or something and they put in the wrong keg. Really weird place.
