Dayglow Los Angeles Reviews
Dayglow is such a vibe if you’re into unique coffee and matcha drinks. (We customized)) an iced strawberry matcha latte and it was as good as it looks — earthy from the matcha, balanced with the sweet/tart strawberry, and not overly sugary. Super refreshing and perfect for a warm day. The café itself is very aesthetic — neon signs, minimal design, and shelves full of coffee beans and blends to take home. It definitely has that modern LA specialty coffee feel. Seating is limited, but they have few tables outside, it’s worth stopping in for the drinks and the atmosphere. If you’re looking for something beyond the usual coffee menu, this is the place to try.
After I ordered my coffee, I went to the restroom. When I returned, the barista noticed that my coffee had cooled down and kindly made me a fresh one. I was truly touched by this thoughtful gesture. Not only was their service exceptional, but the coffee itself was also absolutely delicious. It was a wonderful experience that made me appreciate both the quality of the coffee and the kindness of the staff.
Vibrant place for coffee lovers in LA. With variety of coffee drinks, and pastry options. Love it here
The Warhol 2.0 was delicious as a speciality coffee drink. Not overpowering at all for a coffee, coconut forward, great spiced balance. Service a slower pace (since the drinks are more complex), so best if you are relaxed and aren’t in a rush. Donut was good too.
Specialty coffee heaven. Love, love the bean selections, and the barista (sorry forget his name) helped me with choosing beans. He was so knowledgeable and helpful! As a pour over lover, i am definitely returning🥹
Guys, if you go there, please try their specials. I’m absolutely in love with the Warhol coffee (the regular one). Very unusual and well-balanced combination of creamy, citrusy and coffee flavours (see the full description in the first photo). The coffee is pretty pricy (10-12$ for special drinks) but worth of trying! Only once it was made wrong by a guy with green hair. He put a lot of ice and there was barely any cream on the top. That’s why I usually order it when there are girls on the shift. They make it perfectly!
Great little coffee shop in LA, perfect for the specialty coffee lover. We came here seeking a pour over which isn’t so popular in the city but this place does a great job of them. We enjoyed our coffee immensely. Espresso was pretty good too, and they sell quite a wide variety of coffee as well.
Enjoyed an espresso in cafe which had a rich and smooth balance. Love that it is served with sparkling water as well. The barista who made it is excellently skilled and welcoming. Also loved the vibe of this place (including music: Misses by Dominic Fike played). Highly recommend checking out this place! I’ll be back to try speciality drinks.
This is one of my favorite coffee spots and I always make sure to stop by whenever I'm in the area. Always great quality and the special creation drinks are so unique and absolutely delicious! I got the Warhol and am obsessed. It's the perfect creamy citrusy latte. Update: I came back and tried the Totoro and it was really good too! The sesame and coconut were strongest and I couldn't taste the coffee much, so it's a good option for someone who may not really enjoy coffee.
This is a cute little coffee spot. The drinks are delicious. I had the Alyssa drink. It was a matcha tea with strawberry. So delicious. It's a nice place to grab a drink and chill for a bit. Definitely check them out if you are in the area.
Good coffee, interesting "creations". Seems to always be busy with a constant stream of clientele. Pretty nice place to chill and watch people for fashion ideas, haha. There's plenty of seating inside, less so outside, service seems to be relatively quick.
If I had a penny for every time I talked about this shop after visiting I would be able to comfortably retire. Dayglow has been on my visit list for years and it's everything I dreamed it would be. The shop is bright, electric, fun and full of plants. What really caught my attention was the retail beans they offer, just WOW. Manhattan, April, Black and White, Nomad, Luna, DAK, just to name a few, are some of the best roasters in the world and they were all dangerously within reach. I could've easily lost all my theoretical penny's at this shop. I ended up ordering the last of an anaerobic from Nomad on espresso which tasted like straight strawberry juice, and the cha cha drink which had espresso, condensed coconut milk, blue algae and cinnamon which was quite fun. The baristas were very friendly, there were plenty of empty seats to choose from, and a few pastry options. Overall, this experience was 10/10. Everyone needs to visit. Thanks for existing Dayglow.
Ok their drinks are pricey….but omg are they good. This is coffee mixology at its finest, with extremely high quality ingredients and the most unique flavor combinations. I have never been disappointed on a visit to Dayglow!! This time I tried the Totoro, on the rec of the barista, and it was absolutely stunning. Again, it’s pricey. But for a special coffee treat, it’s worth it.
I love this place because they have what amounts to a cocktail menu of coffees. Where else can you get a Totoro or an Andy Warhol. In case you are wondering a Totoro is a mix of charcoal, oat milk, espresso and coconut cream. The Warhol- well have is no longer just famous for discovering Velvet Underground, the soup cans or the Marilyn Monroe treatment. Now he has his own legendary coffee drink. The only reason this place did not get 5 stars across the board is what happened after I got my drink. I went outside, set the drinks down for me and my guest, and sat down. The metal chair I sat on had a weak leg, and I felt myself falling sideways in slow motion, as the wobbly leg grasped( unsuccessfully) for purchase. Fortunately I hit the ground softly, to the chuckles of nearby patrons. There was a kind Japanese woman who scooped me off the ground while my wife used the opportunity to get a photo. I’ll definitely be back but may opt for a to go order in the future. PS - I did set the chair aside and went and told the Barista about it- he could have cared less as the chair was still in harms way when we left 20 minutes later. #slipandfaill

The baristas here are amazing. They’re so nice and they pull some of the most bussin espresso shots you’ll ever have. They have a lot of fun drinks, but I highly recommend just trying a latte or cappuccino too they’re so damn good. Not much seating but it can be a vibe to sit on sunset

One of the most delicious and unique espresso tonics I’ve had. Intrigued to come back and try their seasonal menu. Downside— really tough to find parking on weekends. Good vibes inside but more of a takeaway spot.
I got the Totoro. It was really good. Nothing that'd make me drive out of my way to get, but definitely great if you're in the area.
Great atmosphere and good drinks. I still think about the black sesame latte I had here a few months back. Unfortunately their specialty drinks are just so expensive, even for LA and even with all the inflation. Up to $12-14 for some of them! Still worth a visit, just be prepared to pay double if you like trying house specials.
Dayglow was the most exciting coffee shop in LA, until it isn't anymore. Dayglow is known for its creative drinks. My favorite Warhol is a creamy cinnamon latte with a beautiful orange peel garnish. The limited-time, film-inspired signature series go even above and beyond. I visited Dayglow for the first time during its Wes Anderson series, when The French Dispatch was in theater. I had The Concrete Masterpiece, a warm and upbeat latte that was served in a Le Sans Blague cup as appeared in the film. Dayglow's newest series is inspired by P. T. Anderson and features There Will be Blood, a charcoal smoothie with a long straw that reenacts an imaginary scene of the iconic film. The reference is incredibly accurate and amusing. While I truly appreciate Dayglow's creativity, I am fed up by its recent price hike. A capp is now $6 and you can't get anything from their new signature series for less than $10. With these prices, it is natural to get frustrated when I bad experiences, from mediocre coffee to condescending service. Now I only go inside if I have checked that it's my favorite baristas behind the bar. That's just not fun anymore. Well, it was fun while it lasted. [Original] Nov 2021, 5 stars I had a wonderful and memorable experience at Dayglow. What immediately impressed me was of course the fantastic collection of coffee beans on their rotation from all over the world. Better yet, Jess who made me a delicious latte has every quality you wish for from a barista: friendly and kind yet professional and candid. I wholeheartedly enjoyed our conversation and appreciate the great coffee and coffee tips I received. When I visited the store, it had a collab with "The French Dispatch" movie with a special drink menu. I tried out "The Concrete Masterpiece". Served in a movie set Le Sans Blague cup, the drink has comforting creamy texture mixed with stimulating cinnamon powder, it was a true masterpiece.

Overpriced hype. I don’t have a problem with paying for a good cup of coffee, but this isn’t that. Their popular Totoro is overly sweet and tastes as though there’s no coffee in it. The interior (as well as the exterior) is cute, but the seating isn’t very comfortable. Not a place to stay.
