Dolce Isola Los Angeles Reviews
This lovely Bakery Cafe is a jewel. The food was amazing. They were very busy, but the staff worked swiftly and did a great job. If they continue to do well, hopefully can expand to have more larger tables to accommodate their guests.
Delicious! A real gem hidden on Robertson near Hami. This place bakes for the Ivy and you can taste the excellence. My husband is partial to the Salad Nicoise, I love the Huevos, and our friends love the home made fresh pasta. Everybody indulged in the amazing, home made fresh gelato. It's worth a quick stop in on a hot day for gelato, an early morning for a pastry, or a relaxing brunch if you have time to sit down.
Italian bakery that serves delicious AND the most elegant huevos rancheros I've ever seen/tasted? And don't forget the almond croissant - sooo good. Just wonderful & such reasonable prices. Will be back - again & again... (Gelato next time for sure 😉)
Great Food!!! The quality of food and service far exceeds the inexpensive prices. Highly recommend !!
I’m in love with this place. First time here and it was awesome! Great service, amazing atmosphere, yummy coffee, delicious food. Highly recommend!

Ok guys is you are debating about this place.... Stop.... Don't think about it don't wonder.. just go! The food is amazing the staff is professional, kind and attentive and the food is phenomenal! Just go already
The food here is unbelievably amazing! The service is just as good and so are the prices! Fresh baked bread, hand made pasta and deserts to die for. I’ve yet to be disappointed with this menu.
My sandwich was very good. I will be back. The two servers were efficient and friendly. I ate half my sandwich there and took the other half to go and the server packed up in ramekins the mustard and mayonnaise they serve on the plate. Based on my experiences most servers would have not done this. The restaurant is clean and well appointed and full of nice art work. The REAL flowers on each table is a joy. Someone thought about this place. It is a gem and I loved the music they were playing. Its a classy place.
Fantastic service. Went in simply to eat a sandwich during lunch time. Almost all tables were taken so staff were busy. After ordering at the counter and finding a seat, shortly after my food was brought to my table. A table cover was placed down and I was greeted really politely. My sandwich was a good size and it was served with what seemed like house-made sauces. Overall great experience and I think I found my neighborhood cafe.
Shrimp tacos here are truly the best ! Those, the chocolate chip cookies, and the apple croissant…
Sweet place. Good portions. Roses from their garden. Wonderful service.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is terrific. they have wonderful salads Cobb is my favorite. Tacos, pasta, breakfast and lunch Best gelato in town and sour dough bread cakes and scones. Plus the decor makes you feel like you in European Cafe. Enjoy.
Wonderful neighborhood bakery with a superb strawberry lemonade. The sandwich was a little busy but still delicious.
A bakery café tucked away in a quiet area. Their sandwiches are fresh, and the desserts are light and tasty. The staff is friendly, and it feels like a local secret. The outdoor seating is nice on a sunny day. A peaceful place for lunch

The only reason I gave two stars is because of the Lady behind the counter being kind. Other than that, I would give one star. I tried this place out three times because I was in the area. Not only was I faced with an atmosphere of “you do not belong here” why are you here???. All three times…. Today the gentleman behind the counter took my lid to my coffee cup, and slid it across the counter face down. Had he maybe even slid it where just the rim of the cup touched the counter that would’ve been OK, but to me that was deliberate disrespect. It is unfortunately sad that as Black people when we go to an area where we do not frequent, we are treated like that. I don’t know what his issue is. I was never rude to him and what’s funny is I would’ve asked for a new lid, but I didn’t even want to become a problem in that moment and be turned into the stereotypical, angry black woman so I just took the lid and left, but I will never Never Never Never spend my money here again. Although the food is decent, I’m very saddened by my experience, hopefully they will take this into consideration the next time somebody that looks like me goes into their establishment.

I find it amazing that a place of this caliber who produces a ton of cakes has no one that can think to ask their cake box supplier for bigger boxes to accommodate their large round cakes. The sales person was going to put the cover on which would have completely destroyed the top of the $100 cake. I had to ask for cup risers and coffee stirrers so that cake wouldn't get damaged. Considering I watched another person before be go thru the same thing I had to take charge to save my cake and not have someone's birthday party messed up because the Ivy can't think for itself. Who's in charge here. For the Ivy and what they charge it's pretty sad. They also couldn't smooth out a side of the cake. Will go elsewhere next time.
I’ve been a regular at this place because I wanted to support a local business and it is walking distance from my house. I often brought friends there and had my meetings there. But recently I went in the afternoon just to grab a cup of coffee and go over some thoughts for a teaching session and I was kicked out because I wasn’t ordering any food. The owner was watching me from the cameras and sent BOTH the waiters to talk to me and one was waiting to escort me out. Their exact words were, “if you are not ordering any food, you have to leave.” I was enraged. I was a paying customer. It was not even busy for them, there was no one else upstairs of the restaurant. I felt very discriminated and was in disbelief. I’ve never felt so belittled at a cafe and I will never go back.
Me and my son in law used to order every Saturday but sadly no more orders. Their kitchen was not clean or may be the cook had problems with food preparation. My son in law filed a report with health department years ago and had their food preparation procedure and precautions level gone up already I pretty much doubt it otherwise I would have given Dolce Isola other try Health wise but No.
This place has gone severely downhill throughout the years. I used to be a loyal, nearly every day customer but it’s almost not worth coming anymore. The service has gone downhill, starting when Diego left (rip). The food menu has been slowly stripped down to almost nothing and the prices keep going up. The quality is still there but all my favorite menu items are gone. It makes me sad to think about what this place used to be. I hope they realize what they’ve done. You’ve lost some loyal regulars.
