El Caserio Los Angeles Reviews
Always a fun experience. Came for happy hour again. Gloryzen always provides the best service while helping several tables. It’s. So much fun here and enjoyed celebrating my bday during their breakfast buffet on a Sunday. I haven’t got to other locations but I like who this location has the back patio/outdoor area. If you want a fun and casual vibe with great drinks and service, I definitely recommend.
The food was so delicious and the drinks hit the spot yummmm. Can't wait to go again, recommend 10/10.
Dragon Roll and Margarita had my mouth watering ☺️ Honestly such good vibes you know it's lit when a few tables all of a sudden break out singing to the song they have playing. Staff was wonderful they were so pleasant every time they came to drop something off or just to check in on us to see if we needed anything and I can't stress this enough, it was not only our waiter but the food runner was such good vibes and personally made me feel cared for. We stayed a while enjoying the atmosphere, drinks and music and they were not at all pushy or seemed annoyed. So glad we went with our waiters food and drink recommendations. My only regret is not getting his name to give him a shout out. Loved the shot presentation not only did our waiter guide us in selecting the right tequila for us but it was definitely a show stopper when they served it and ignited the flame, Instagram worthy if I was only quick enough. Most definitely would come again. Five stars. Would tell a friend, would bring my grandma.
The tacos here we delicious. Salsas were average, however, but I really loved the quesa birria tacos. The dragon roll sushi platter was surprisingly good. Highly recommend the tacos gobernador, the shrimp, avocados and lime all works really well together and had fresh flavors.
Absolutely loved this place. Valet was only $10. The food was very affordable. Every time I walked away my drink was full by the time I came back. You have to do the Sunday brunch with the unlimited mimosas. You can't beat the price, you can't beat the food. With everybody I was like this is the best enchiladas I've ever had. This is the best mole I've ever had. This is the best taco I've ever had. I was such a happy camper
Great place and vibes, dark and neon inside and relaxing and smooth with music and tons of t.vs. we tried the dragon roll, takitos, micheladas, and for drinks, we had a michelada, and the jaritos lokos. The taqitos and sushi roll were great, as well as the chips and salsa even tho I'd prefer more spice in the salsa, and the michelada was bot the best I've had personally speaking
I have been here before for happy hour and the drinks are always good also the service is amazing and the ceviche is good ! I also come with my kids and husband Sunday for there brunch and it’s not as much as they hype it but it was nice that they have someone cooking the Chilaquiles and making the eggs ! And they mimosas are good and don’t come in plastic but glass and the atmosphere is super nice !
I love coming on Tuesday for their 99 cent tacos. I have been coming here for the past month with my family. The atmosphere is fun and family friendly. Some of the servers could have better hospitality. However, the manager Alfredo has exceptional hospitality. He is attentive and has recovered some of our poor experiences. He is the main reason we continue to come back to kalaveras silver lake.
I love coming to Kalaveras on the regular, especially on Taco Tuesdays. It's conveniently located right next to the freeway and I has plenty of street parking and a parking lot behind the establishment. I love their customer service as well, they are attentive and pretty quick on getting the orders out. If you haven't done so already, make sure to try their molcajete, it is flame.
This taco place is one you don’t want to pass up! From the atmosphere to the staff to the food, all were 5/5! The whole “day of the dead” theme really made this a fun restaurant to eat at with lots to look at. The outside patio area was very chill and gave some privacy from the busy street on the other side of the wall. As a south Florida native, I’m a big fan of authentic tacos and this restaurant hit the spot. They had such a variety of tacos to choose from - including 2 vegetarian options. You don’t see many places offering such unique taco flavors. The ladies working when I visited with my friend were so welcoming and friendly. They went out of their way to engage with us and chat about our vacation. I highly recommend!
Love this place it’s my local Mexican restaurant. The service is on point. The food is excellent and the ambiance is lively and fun. Great music and cocktails too. Come on your own or with a group it’s always a good time! Back in for another visit Sunday afternoon so much energy and food is amazing ordered molcajete great to share for two people. Always leaves full and satisfied :)
We went on a Friday around 18/1900hrs. We found parking pretty quick, there was people, not packed but getting there, great music, very peaceful atmosphere, the service was right on point with enoughs "how's everything", not too much to the point where you cant help to notice the times in between checking. Anywho, is a good spot to go with a few friends and enjoy a good time together. They have some out of the usual menu, with out of the usual drinks like its watermelon Cadillac, if you go I recommend the shrimp tacos they come with melting cheese bomb, the guacamole with chips they come with fresh shredded cheese, also the stake with mushrooms damn off the hook. Its not in the menu but if you ask the waiter/tress to hook you up with a little whiskey they do. They're not like is what they focus, they're main alcohol is Tequila and Mezcal mix drinks and straight. Im not a tequila nor mezcal out politeness I'll take a shot with the host but my thing its whiskey or cognac. No mix drinks straight. Here's a tip any alcohol drink that contains sugar, the alcohol effect is double because of the sugar, and with ice first you're cutting your drink with water and second when you're done with the drink and you still have the cube and crush and eat the cubes which are soaked in alcohol hits you also twice as hard there fore getting you in back of the bus quicker. Unless that's your intention learn to taste the drink straight if its too strong or too hard of a kick get something of more quality McCullough, or mid range Traveller, Monkey Shoulder,Angela Envy. Back to place, its all great and all but its not cheap, not supper pricey but to my opinion well worth the $. So much I went to check out the one in Montebello.
The best vibes for a birthday brunch—such kind service and delicious food, great for a big group. We were received so warmly for my friend’s birthday brunch. Kalaveras made it a special one. Show this place love if you’re in the area!
One of the better Mexican food chains in SoCal. Can always count on the food being consistent. That’s a HUGE plus. Let’s get into it. Upon walking in I was greeted immediately. They asked if we would like to sit inside or outside. I usually opt for outside as it’s quieter than being inside etc. Order the chicken, cheese mole enchiladas. And a chili relleno on the side. Also comes with rice and beans. The mole sauce is perfect. Little bit of sweet and spicy. Just the way it should be. Chicken was tender and seasoned well. Cheese enchilada typical and good. Chili relleno was perfect. Sometimes when you get one it’s overly battered/too much egg white on the outside. This one has a great balance, not too much egg at all. The place is clean, the staff is very helpful, quick and always attending their tables. Come to think of it I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad experience at any Kalaveras locations. And I’ve been to about 4 locations. The food always tastes the same and the staff and atmosphere is always on point. The ONLY reason I didn’t give it 5. Is because it was raining outside. And this one time I wanted to sit inside. They kept the door open and it was colder inside than outside with the heaters lol. And they got my order wrong. But that was resolved quickly. Overall would I recommend this place? Most definitely. Foods good, staff is great, has plenty of parking ( private lot ) place is clean. Food: a little above average Staff: no issues Cleanliness: clean Atmosphere: vibrant Decor: ok. Nothing crazy. Bathrooms: N/A didn’t use them. Enjoy!
The food and drinks were great. We got the Jamaica infused whiskey “Kopa de Frida” and it was spectacular. PS: Lower down the music, you can’t even socialize comfortably. Maybe because it was Saturday night and they had a dj, I’m just saying there’s no need to blast it to where it almost hurts your eardrums.
Drinks were good Food was pretty to look at but flavors were lacking Service was kind and welcoming
We had a good experience at Kalaveras today! The food was wonderful. I enjoyed every bite and so did the rest of my guests. The parking was easy, we got seated right away, no wait at all (we went on a Monday around 3). The only thing that I didn't enjoy so much was the type of music (I like Bad Bunny, but not for my entire stay, lol), and the volume was loud. Although we could still talk, it wasn't very relaxing. The service was good, but at times a little slow, but understandable. Our food; however, came fast! Overall, I would recommend, mainly for the food, I truly enjoyed it. Oh, but a couple of things to note, no refills on sodas and I'm not sure if they give a free dessert for a birthday (because they do sing), but they charged both of the desserts we ordered. Thought they might have thrown in one of the desserts, but they didn't. Desserts are expensive...$12 for a flan and $12 for churros!
Food is always AMAZING but service tends to be a bit uugghh. Have been here at least 10 times at different hours and servers tend to forget about you but again the food makes up for it!!! And if you like cocktails, well you will never be disappointed . I will still keep coming back because overall place is amazing
We were a party of 4 but my kid didn’t order anything and we were charged 18% for tip automatically. The service was not good, the tips are earned in my opinion… I didn’t say anything and just paid. What keeps me coming is the good drinks and music! :)
Disappointing experience at Kalaveras. I've been there multiple times a week, but after today's service, I won't be back. The server, Rosa, told me and my friend that we couldn't order more drinks because we hadn't ordered food yet. This policy wasn't clear, and the way it was communicated was unfriendly. We were planning to order food after our drinks, but the attitude from the server made us decide to leave instead. For a place I've visited frequently, this was a letdown. Maybe they need to work on staff training or clarify their policies for customers. If you're looking for a casual spot with good service, you might want to consider other options.!
