Holdaak Fried Chicken in Highland Park is a must-try for anyone craving Korean-style fried chicken. Their Seoul Spicy Chicken Sandwich is a standout—crispy, juicy, and perfectly balanced with daikon slaw and comeback sauce. The daikon slaw adds a tangy crunch that complements the spicy chicken. The crinkle-cut fries stay crispy even when delivered, which is impressive. The staff is friendly and the service is quick, making it a great spot for a satisfying meal.

Before I get into the food, i want to give a shout-out to the customer service at this Highland Park location. Kudos to the customer service!!! Initially, I bought 6 items for to go, however, when I reached home, found out that it was missing 3 of the sides. Gave them a call, the guy immediately apologized and refunded me. That's what I call a great customer service. I ordered the 20 pcs flavored wings (Original, Spicy and Seoul Spicy), 2 Jumbo Tender, and Sandwich Tender combo. All of the tenders and wings taste amazing, one of the best Korean chicken I have tried. They fried the wings to perfection, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The spicy flavored wings are great, you can really taste the spiciness on them, but not overpowering. My boys love the chicken tender sandwich and tenders. They asked me to buy it again next time.

Super nice. Good is awesome, and price is even better. I called ahead to ask about allergies (chicken tenders didn’t have dairy but toast did so I asked for it to be separated, omitted the spice since it was for a spice adverse person). The rest was fair game in terms of spice and dairy so I got the spicy and soy/caramel wings, the chicken sando (great) and an order of fries (spices came on the side). Great Korean fried chicken and chicken sando shop!

Was recommended this place earlier this year and it absolutely lived up to high expectations. They had friendly, fast service and the Holdaak Spicy Chicken Sandwich was as tasty as it looks! If you’re looking for a solid Korean fried chicken sandwich, you cannot go wrong with giving this chain a try!

So glad I found this spot! The Comeback Sauce is delicious! It's very spacious and has outdoor seating. We got the Seoul Spicy sauce and my goodness, I'll definitely be going back

We got the chicken teriyaki bowl with rice and noodles. Good deal. The restaurant could be a little cleaner.

If you are in this area and looking for some great food this is the place. The chicken strips are amazing. If not the best then close to the best, we all agree. Service was great

I never write reviews but this place is so good I’m a regular at this point. Always friendly and nice customer service. Their food is just delicious. Chicken is always crispy yet juicy and the flavors are amazing. Also unique to their chicken sandwiches is the daikon slaw (optional of course) which adds a really refreshing flavor/texture. Their fries are top tier, always perfectly crispy and it’s fire with their “comeback” sauce. Underrated too is their milk tea/boba. Can’t speak to the almond milk tea b/c I haven’t tried it but the regular milk tea’s flavor is great. Sweet but not too sweet. The boba itself always has the right texture and is sweet too (hate when boba is bland). Really recommend this place!

Delicious chicken, so crispy but not gross and oily. lovely staff, sort of stiff prices but the portions make up for it. great for nearby occidental students.

Great upscale fast food joint. I ordered the chicken tenders in spicy with fries. The chicken was the right amount of spicy - especially with the comeback sauce. Fries were nice and crispy. I like to pair the fries with ranch. Would come back for the hot chicken. It seemed a little pricy ($17) but that’s the price you pay for good food in LA. While I took the food to go, the area seemed clean and nice enough to sit down and have a nice lunch.

The spicy chicken sandwich was good with nice thick piece of chicken and fulfilling with the potatoes wedges with some extra hot sauce. Had good service and enough seating. Place was clean and busy nearby. I'd definitely go back and have another spicy chicken sandwich if I was around the area again it was really good. Not over seasoned like some places.

First time visit Holdaak. I ordered the original fried chicken sandwich and fries. So delicious! The fries were sooo good! Ranch was too thin/watery for me, but the special sauce they have was bomb!

I usually would give this restaurant 5 stars. Ordered tenders and a salad. The taste was great, the tenders and fries were delicious. The salad was also delicious but I couldn’t finish it because it had so much water, felt like I was eating a soup lol but this was my first experience like this, usually the salad is impeccable.

Got the 5 piece original Chicken Strips. The batter on the strips were crunchy, but the strips themselves we're a little bland (maybe the spicy version will be a different story). The comeback sauce helped but I feel like it just tastes like generic thousand island sauce. At least the chicken is tender. I would rather go to Howlin' Ray's (especially for their comeback sauce) or Main Chick. But, if those are not an option or just too out of the way, then Holdaak will just do (for me, as long as I'm in the area).

This review is just for Almond Haus drinks and NOT for the chicken. I have been a long time Almond Haus fan and was excited to see one pop up in the area. The classic Almond Milk Tea was terrible. It was very clearly made with artificial syrup and only had 1 almond item on the menu. Can you even call this an Almond Haus location? Do not come here for the Almond Haus menu.

Offered a 2 for 1 deal on the spicy chicken sandwich, then they didn't include any in my delivery. Paid $25 for just fries and they wouldn't refund my order.

The food has changed since then at Northridge location the quality, food prep, ingredients is not good compared as before they changed it a lot It is not worth the money 👎👎also when I came in I was given a heads up that chicken wings require 20-25 mins wait so I ended getting a sandwich meal and loco fries which I thought less time but Twas just the same lol. Sorry but all aesthetics is not worth it, I’m for the food a good quality, right portions of ingredients.

Four item menu. The best thing about the “spicy” chicken sandwich was the bread. Skip the “comeback sauce” it really tastes the way it looks lol. Customer service needs improvement.
