Imperial Chopsticks Los Angeles Reviews
As a tour guide who’s constantly showing people the best places to eat while exploring the city, Imperial Chopsticks is one of those spots I always recommend when someone wants authentic Chinese food with generous portions and fair pricing. From the moment you walk in, you get that classic neighborhood Chinese restaurant feel — welcoming, no-nonsense, and focused on the food. This isn’t a trendy gimmick spot; this is a place that’s been doing it right for years. Whether you’re visiting from out of town or you’re a local looking for a reliable go-to, Imperial Chopsticks hits every time. The menu is extensive, which makes it perfect for groups. From savory stir-fries to comforting noodle dishes and perfectly cooked rice plates, there’s something here for everyone. The flavors are bold but balanced — not overly greasy, not watered down — just solid, well-seasoned Chinese cuisine. Portions are generous, making it ideal for sharing family-style or even taking leftovers for later. One thing I always point out to visitors is the value. For the quality and quantity of food you get, the prices are very reasonable, especially compared to many tourist-heavy areas. It’s a great stop after a long day of sightseeing when you want a filling, satisfying meal without breaking the bank. Service is efficient and friendly. The staff keeps things moving, which is great when you’re hungry, but they’re also patient and helpful if you’re unfamiliar with the menu or need recommendations. It feels like a place where regulars are treated like family — always a good sign. Overall, Imperial Chopsticks is a dependable, flavorful stop that represents what good local dining should be. If you’re touring the area and want a true taste of comfort-style Chinese food — or if you’re a local searching for consistency and value — this place deserves a visit. I’ve brought guests here more than once, and it never disappoints. Highly recommended for travelers, families, and anyone who appreciates classic Chinese cuisine done right. From the moment you arrive, there’s a sense of tradition and confidence in what they do. The atmosphere is calm and inviting — comfortable, polished, and intentionally understated. It’s the kind of place where the focus is on craftsmanship, flavor, and hospitality rather than trends, which gives it a distinctly upscale feel without being pretentious. The menu reads like a carefully assembled collection of classics, each dish executed with precision. Ingredients taste fresh, sauces are rich and well-balanced, and every plate arrives thoughtfully prepared. Whether you’re enjoying expertly cooked meats, fragrant rice dishes, or savory noodles, there’s a clear attention to detail in both texture and presentation. The portions are generous yet refined, making the experience feel indulgent without excess. What truly elevates Imperial Chopsticks is its consistency — a hallmark of luxury dining. Every visit delivers the same high standard of flavor and quality, which is something seasoned travelers and discerning diners value deeply. This is an ideal stop for business lunches, intimate dinners, or hosting out-of-town guests who appreciate authentic cuisine prepared with care. Service is professional, warm, and efficient. The staff understands the rhythm of a premium dining experience — attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being intrusive. It’s the kind of service that allows you to relax and enjoy the meal at your own pace. In a city filled with options, Imperial Chopsticks distinguishes itself through elegance, reliability, and respect for culinary tradition. For those touring the area and seeking a polished yet authentic Chinese dining experience — or locals who appreciate refined comfort — this restaurant is a standout choice. A place that embodies understated luxury and culinary excellence. As a foodie who actively seeks out well-executed cuisine rather than hype, Imperial Chopsticks delivers a refined Chinese dining experience rooted in flavor, balance, and tradition. What immediately stands out is the food.
The owners are very friendly people and the portions are aligned with what you pay. The food is tasty.

Excellent food family owned great atmosphere!
The service was wonderful, very sweet lady served us our food and even offered to make a fresh batch of vegetables for me! The food itself was delicious and cooked perfectly, and the portion was more than enough for us. Inexpensive too! I will be returning❤️
Orange chicken was my favorite and the owner was super sweet!!
We were craving fried rice and chow mein and found this on Google. Everyone got what they wanted, and when they say 3, they actually mean 4♥️ Excellent service! Delicious food!♥️ My only regret is not ordering more. Definitely coming here when we visit Cali again.
If you're in the area I highly recommend Imperial Chopsticks. Literally popped in cause I was craving Chinese for lunch and it was with walking distance. Now to be fare the inside has seen better days, but it's clean and easy to get to. All of that is minor compared to the delicious food. I had the jalapeno chicken, shrimp string bean, and orange chicken. Now add in the fried rice and chow mein and you'll have a vision of my plate all piled on top of one another, truly an enjoyable experience and the woman staffing the counter seem very enthusiastic and cared a lot about her food. A little hole in the wall spot with caring staff and great food!
food was fresh! and the portions were a lot. lady was super sweet. would eat again i ordered shrimp fried & chicken
Has a very awesome vibe. Love to bring all my friends here when they come into town. The food is delicious and is served at a very healthy portion. The workers have amazing people skills. Is definitely a must try for Los Angeles.
Not from the area, but was craving some Chinese food. We came across this gem. The restaurant is a small place, and from the outside the building isn't too trusty looking. But looks aren't everything and you really have to give this place a try. The staff genuinely cares for each customer, and the food is absolutely fantastic for a fair price! To top it off, they pack the tray, leaving you satisfied easily. If you want chinese, I recommend this place
The lady that helped me was very nice a welcoming! The service was fast and the food was so good! The chow mein was my favorite part. The chickens were delicious and fresh. I’m in the city visiting and wish she had a location where I live 😣
The food here is really great, and the portions are big. The lady that served us was so nice to my girlfriend and I. Great place, will definitely be back.
Amazing food for a great price, and the owner was so kind and friendly. Highly recommend!

This cozy little spot had plenty of parking, which was a nice plus. The woman who helped us was incredibly sweet and gave some of the best customer service I’ve had in a while. The portions were super generous—I absolutely loved the Chow Mein! The mushroom chicken wasn’t my favorite; it tasted a bit off, like it wasn’t super fresh. But overall, the food was delicious, and everyone at our table really enjoyed their meals.

The food is not the best but not the worst. The rice is really good and I enjoyed the mushroom chicken but the serving size does not really match the price. The service is wonderful.

Small joint. Probably cheapest Chinese Fast Food on the area. They pack it! 3items, added 1 eggroll = $10.17, credit card allowed. Mom and pop shop. Maybe because it's Thai town area, the food is a bit more toward a different taste than the usual Chinese Fast Food I am accustomed to? Their menu of soup dish look more like Thai soup. Food was okay. Everything looked saucy but tasted different than what I was expecting.

NO. JUST NO. Food is awful, meat non identifiable, sauce is gross. Avoid at all cost. Bad service from owner and overcharge. Sticky old plastic bags. Repulsive. 🤢

I ordered 80 pcs.fried chicken today but I was so disappointed. It is not tasty at all. No marination nor seasoning. The chicken was tough. I was so embarrassed with friends. I told them that this place has the best Chinese fried chicken in the area. I used to order here for my daughter's potluck at school since it is near LosFeliz Elem. Sch . I think they can't handle big orders anymore. Really very disappointed.
