Jeonju Hyundaiok Los Angeles Reviews
Decided to try this place out with my family, and wow, it did not disappoint! Having just spent nine days in the U.S., this meal brought back a wave of nostalgia. The flavors were authentic, the portions were generous, and the overall experience reminded us of the Korean food we enjoyed abroad. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a great meal. Every dish was well-prepared, from the perfectly marinated meats to the rich and flavorful side dishes. The service was also excellent, with friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a place that serves comforting, delicious Korean food, this is definitely worth a visit! We’ll be back for sure.
Satisfied well for my Korean food craving!!! Loved every bite and portion was decent for $21 to-go. If you paid in cash it’s $1 cheaper. But either way it was good! Would need to come back to try other stuff but this hit! Service was 10/10!!!
My friend and I had a very memorable meal here. We ordered the #5 Dried Pollock Bean Sprout Soup and #6 Seafood and Soft Bean Curd Stew. The food was delicious, comforting, and fresh, but what truly stood out was the hospitality of the owner, Sharon. She went above and beyond to create one of the most welcoming dining experiences I've ever had, walking us through the entire menu, offering extra sides and snacks on the house, and making every customer feel like family. When we tried to leave a generous tip in gratitude, she immediately refused, explaining that it was the day before Thanksgiving. Her kindness wasn't reserved for us - she had done the same for the other two customers in the restaurant too. I rarely write reviews, but Sharon's warmth and care, along with the excellent food, deserve recognition. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
Jeonju Hyundaiok is a great spot that serves quite tasty comforting Korean food! They are most famous for their bean sprout soups, which I've been told is a wonderful dish to cure a hangover! I'll say this tho, it was very delicious and i can see it helping if i had too much fun the night before. Along with my soup, I also got kimchijeon(kimchi pancake) and a galbi lunch box. I'm always a sucker for lunch boxes due to the wide assortment of flavors it presents. If you ever want delicious authentic Korean cuisine, this is the place for you.
The food is delicious, and the owner of the restaurant is super cute and kind. She will explain to you the menu. If you don't know a detail about a dish or how to eat it, she will also explain it to you. The place is also clean and calm, so you can have a nice time there :)
We bought the bugolgi that comes with rice and soup. It was delicious. The owner gives excellent service.
The food was great, the soup was crazily delicious, but i do not recommend the short ribs, it was just average
Bean sprout soup's a classic Korean fix for hangovers, with a broth that soothes your tummy. Their Soondae-guk (Korean sausage and pork soup) is a hit, too.
Delicious, hearty food! 1) soup base/broth straight from Korea. 2) pa-kimchi, baechu kimchi - delicious! Will be back for sure.

A typical Korean restaurant. But the food especially kongnamul gukbop is amazing. I visited the original one in Korea last winter and couldn't help myself. This place is the savior. The owner is super friendly. The banchan and the rice is unlimited refill. I eat so much when I go here, I have to be careful with my diet for the next few days not to gain weight. Try out if you can handle Korean traditional gukbop
It's located inside small plaza. So parking isn't great but it's not bad either. But I would avoid busy lunch and dinner traffic, if you can. Food was great. Such a comfort food. I ended up asking for another bowl of rice
Seafood and soft bean curd stew is so good! I enjoyed it so much. Great customer service, easy parking at the plaza. Come here for some amazing comfort food.
Excellent service, great food. You’re greeted right when you walk in by the servers! The food here has great portions and great flavor. I would highly recommend the meals here for a hangover. The overall restaurant is clean and spacious. They even have a small walk in museum with information regarding their main ingredient.(soybean sprout) Go here if you want to experience authentic korean food.
Amazing cold bean noodles that taste like grandmas, the soy bean soup is perfect for hangovers and cold days. The management and staff are so friendly and treat us like family every time we visit. It’s become our regular lunch spot!
It's great tasting food. Wish the soups leaned a little closer to portage and included more rice and bean sprouts. May need to order a side of rice to get your fill. Avoid reading the instructions on how to eat and let the server demonstrate it. Posted hours were 7 am - 3 pm; yet they sell alcohol. Haven't quite figured that out yet. Is drinking soju with your morning soup a thing?
Great place for vegetarians and non vegetarians to dine together. Has both meat and vegetarian dishes. Highly recommended their signature dish of bean sprout soup (original!) but their bibimbap is noteworthy
They special in beansprout soup. It's really good! Also service was fantastic. If you like Korean soups you're going to have a good time.
Don’t expect too much like big restaurant but this place is so clean and very warm treat. Opens early morning till 3 pm only. Very nice healthy food and very good taste. You all will enjoy.
best hangover food place. this place is actually a popular franchise in korean cuty jeonju. even my picky parents had it and loved it. korean bean sprout soup taste clean and simple. not too much salt or sugar or msg, just the right amount. stir fry squid is made with heavy fire wok cooking. the chef lady did lot of research to make the typical korean food taste better. parking is eaiser than the previous location at virgil. gonna visit here more often since they dont use too much salt or sugar.

If you crave a good hot korean soup with the rice in it, that is very refreshing the next morning after wasted night, this is the spot you should check out. It may not be the one that gen z & a like as their interior isn't mordern or hip, they are clean and staffs are nice, food is really good.
