Lamill Coffee Los Angeles Reviews
I mean it’s just one of the best. Great for meeting a friend or getting some work done. I’m not a coffee snob but coffee always hits. Food great too and reasonably priced for portion/quality
As someone who lives for an elevated coffee experience, LAMILL checks every single box. The interior feels like a West Coast spin on Parisian café culture, airy, chic, and just luxe enough to make you want to stay a while (and take a few photos to let’s be honest). I ordered a iced oat milk latte and she had pudding, and both were absolutely perfect. You can taste the quality and every sip and bite. No shortcuts here. The baristas are super friendly, but not overly chatty, they respect the vibe, which I appreciate. Whether I’m meeting a client, catching up on emails, or just treating myself after a long round around the reservoir, this is the spot. The fact that they serve unreal China, and not to go cups for every died and makes it feel intentional and elevated, like they care. If you’re looking for coffee that doesn’t just wake you up, but inspires you a little, this is it.
As a former scene, kid turned corporate and girl, I consumed enough caffeine to power a midsize start up, and LAMILL is one of the few places that actually understands the assignment. The coffee is ridiculously good. Not “I need caffeine to survive my 9 AM meeting good” but “I suddenly believe in a possibility of a better future good”. The baristas treat their craft like an art form, which I respect deeply as someone who used to spend hours perfecting MySpace photo angles. The vibe is peak Silverlake without trying too hard. Clean, intentional, and just moody enough that my inner God feel seen. Great spot to get work done, people watch, or pretend you’re writing a screenplay. If you live in the neighborhood, make this year go to. If you don’t live here it’s worth the ride/drive. And if you see me here, yes I’m working, no I’m not approachable until I finish my 1st cup.
Definitely some of the best coffee I've had in a long time. The Location is also very pleasant and with inside and outside street seating theres no way you won't a enjoy your coffee. The pastry selection is pretty awesome. You also have a pretty good selection from the breakfast and lunch menus. A must place to visit.
Been coming here for the past few weeks. I had some friends tell me they really like it, but I honestly felt pretty different. The coffee itself seems like its handled with care, but their syrups don't really taste like anything to add onto it? I a few different types of drinks to makes sure I wasn't just having a bad time with one taste, but all of them just seem like a weird taste with no distinction. BUT!!!!!!!!! This spot's specialty is by far their pastries and food items. If you're able to grab one before they sell out, you absolutely have to try their almond croissant. An older woman in the area recommended it to me and I've been dreaming about it since. Staff also rocks.
Surprised to see so many mixed reviews about this Silverlake coffee shop. I thought it was great, and the menu featured a few very cool, unique options I knew I had to try. For this first visit, I went with their Hong Kong milk tea. Now, I was initially looking for a lower caffeine option, and it is only after I ordered that I decided to look up the caffeine content online and I saw it’s actually very loaded with caffeine. But, that’s on me. The actual drink itself was great. Actually, one of my favorite drinks that I tried during my trip. I will say the top is loaded with a lot of froth, but the actual tea itself is wonderful. Nicely creamy, perfect balance of sweetness, tea flavor is still strong, and just hits the spot in every way I wanted. Really recommend trying it even as a first timer like myself.
I'm sad to say that the food quality continues to go down with the small yet impactful changes to menu items, both existing and new. Example: The new Spinach Breakfast Burrito (formerly Silver Lake Burrito) has tater tots instead of the hash browns, a neon green tortilla rather than the prior spinach tortilla, and the spinach was even different. Other examples, the bread for sandwiches changed earlier this summer and new menu items imo aren't the same quality of the items they're replacing. I think pastries are holding on for deal life. And the coffee is still top notch. Lamill was a go-to coffee and bites spot, but becoming a coffee-only spot for me.
It’s a very spacious spot where you can chill or work on a few stuff. The matcha latte I ordered hit good! I didn’t expect their matcha was decent. Their burrito was pretty good too. The combo of guacamole and spicy sauce. The only downside is the price of it. It was kinda pricey for two items. Total came out to be around $30 plus tips. But for the vibe, service and food quality, it might be worth it.
I had some time to kill before a Pilates class across the street and ordered a decaf cappuccino and butter croissant, dine in. The price was 13 dollars including tip which is a little steep but for the location, to be expected. My croissant was perfection. Flaky and golden on the outside and a nice chew on the inside. My cappuccino took a while and arrived rather cold. I enjoyed the service and music selection (music also wasn’t too loud) but the banquette seating was literally falling apart. For such a posh establishment with the prices to match, my seat shouldn’t be coming apart beneath me.
Adorable cafe in Silverlake - the interior was cute with nice framed pictures on the wall, good seating, indoor and outdoor, and the service was good. There’s a free water station but the water tasted like tap water and it didn’t taste as appetizing, they have a limited gluten free menu but I tried the arugula peach salad and my friend had their nachos dish (forgot what it’s called but it’s also GF) and it was okay. The salad was good but it was a salad; not mind blowing by any means but healthy and light. It’s a typical coffee / cafe shop and fun to stop by if you’re visiting in the area!!
Super cute coffee shop with giant tables and big comfy chairs perfect for getting work done. They have an excellent assortment of baked goods and coffees. I only took one star off because they didn't have any decaf coffee and I ordered a decaf espresso, which they gave me cold. Otherwise, I loved the vibes and food here!
I love this place, the coffee is delicious and same goes for their buttery croissants. HOWEVER I don’t think it’s normal to go get a croissant at 10am on a Sunday only to be told they ran out and they won’t make more. At 10am on a Sunday?! It’s annoying because it fits the LA stereotype of making things difficult or unavailable even though there is so much foot traffic. Try a croissant at Des Croissants Paris, the only other best in the city and guess what? They don’t run out.
This used to be the best coffee shop in LA, but it seems management continues to shoot itself in the foot. Prices keep increasing, they constantly replace their staff, and now they have sealed off all outlets!! I strongly suggest re-opening your outlets because you’ll lose a lot of customers who enjoy working and eating here.
All I wanted that morning was a cup of coffee, but I received milk with a hint of coffee flavor. When I went back and asked if they had forgotten to add the coffee, the girl said that I shouldn't have ordered a medium-sized flat white and should have ordered a small one to actually taste the coffee. But if you don't know how to calculate the ingredients for different coffee sizes, why do you sell them? In the end, I asked them to simply add at least one shot of espresso to my coffee, to which the barista said, "Okay, we'll remake it," and remade it in a small size. The question is, why did I pay for a different size? And the taste remained the same – milk with a hint of coffee flavor; you can't call that coffee👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Given their 4.2 rating do not go to this establishment. Their Yelp page is even worse! :/ I was handed a flimsy HOT coffee and was barely told to be careful when simply picking it up it went everywhere and on my hand. My hand is burned and the barista had the audacity to say “ I told you to be careful” he then complained to his coworkers because I made him pour another coffee… essentially his job….unacceptable service completely unprofessional and I truly don’t like the entitled atmosphere! Go to Tierra Mia or any other coffee spot
