Toasted Barrel Los Angeles Reviews
What a nice surprise!! The Toasted Barrel in the Home2 Suites in Woodland Hills is a very low key but upend experience. Cocktail, food and service was fantastic!!
Good selection of bourbons and ryes. The food is typical bar food. The “open air” setting really makes it special. Friendly, attentive service as well.
Amazing place for local time out, beers, tipical bar food, open 1pm.

It’s a hotel bar, but Valerie the bartender really enhanced the vibe of this place. I like it now! Their Bourbon selection and pricing is fair. You can also choose songs to listen to (you get to be the DJ :), Be mindful that street parking is enforced at 10pm. I’ve seen people ticketed by the City at 10pm sharp. Just park in the business lot across the street if you’re staying later (or the closed Post Office) across the street it’s mainly vacant offices. They also have a few IPA options. So Bourbon, Beer, and a friendly host. I haven’t tried the food.
My niece and her husband gave us a gift certificate for Toasted Barrel, because they know we sometimes like a casual meal with cocktails. This place fits the bill! Our bartender/server was Lisa. She was so friendly and efficient, and the food was so good, perfect for what we were looking for. The only two things I’d changer are: 1) They need to dim the lights so you don’t feel like you’re in a hotel lobby; 2) get different tables and chairs so you don’t feel like you’re in a coffee shop. Other than those two things, we will return.
This place is down to earth. Very friendly staff. Rocky and Olivia are the best. They know what they are doing and how to make you feel welcome. Drinks are awesome and the food is good. Limited on cooking but they do good with what they have. Tip: nice weather and all the windows and doors open to a comfortable fire pit patio. But. Beware of Patsy.
Fabulous and interesting grilled cheese selection. The tomato soup was incredible. Great full bar at reasonable prices. Lisa, the bartender and server, was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
Simple yet delicious menu. Tried the beet salad, the crispy goat (I like beets) and a paper plane cocktail, all of which were great and very reasonably priced. Bartender Max provided great service. Would be nice if they a dessert on the menu.
I was attracted to 3 different sandwiches on the menu and Olivia used her wonderful waitress instinct, connections in the kitchen🤣 and her exquisite taste to come out with a fantastic sandwich 🥪 She's the bomb 💣 😉 If I lived here this should be my regular stomping ground🍻 Thanks 👍
What a great place! Don’t be put off that it is inside the Hilton 2 Suites Hotel…it is NOT your typical hotel restaurant. From the food to the service the experience was exceptional. Can’t wait to go again!
Max and the staff were extraordinary! We had a rather large work group and service, food and drinks were impeccable.
Good food.

Good food.
I was underwhelmed by the grilled cheese but the selections of whiskey were impressive. Highly recommend the bar staff to be more well-versed/informed about the different whiskeys. The guys were friendly but management should provide training. We had Four Roses and Angel's Envy. Both were excellent and reasonably priced.

Take it or leave it. This place reminds me of Morton's, Larsen's, Joey's in the area. Pricy to say the least. Hilton Hotels hasn't done anything at this place to incorporate some kind of Happy Hour menu, discount prices, bar specials, etc. The indoor space reminds me of Apple or Google headquarters. Very hipster-ish decor. See the pics I posted. The Bar? So they do have a horseshoe bar at least. More chances to strike up conversations with people sitting opposite you, or near you. I'll be back in a month or 2 to check if things have changed. But for now... Meh... take it or leave it.

I was thrown off guard as I wasn’t expecting the restaurant to be in a Hotel surrounded by what looked like a college cafeteria dining area. I had to take some photos to show the true vibe of the restaurant. It’s totally fine if you are staying in the hotel however would not recommend for any locals looking for a new bar or dining spot. Food was okay with poor presentation. Don’t be fooled by their great marketing photos. The entire restaurant was staffed by one bar tender while we were there.
Nice server, sub standard food in hotel lobby breakfast area. Soggy toastie, average wings & poor value for money. Don’t fall for the photos of other venues. It’s poor at best.

I was excited to eat here, I live local in Woodland Hills, so I was hoping this could be my new comfort food spot. Unfortunately, it won't be. I got the Korean Beef Grilled Cheese, the beef was so tough it was practically not edible and there was a single slice of cheese for the entire sandwich. When your bread & butter is grilled cheese & it's $17, more than 1 slice of cheese is expected. The fries were meh. Fortunately the cocktail was yummy. So to the point, come for drinks and not for the food.

Not sure why there's no mention of this being inside a corporate chain hotel. Looks nothing like the photos and is just the lobby bar area of the Home 2 hotel. Might be fine if you're staying at that hotel and don't have a car, but otherwise, go up to Topanga and find a real restaurant.
