What Customers Say About Unami Burger
Umami Burger at LAX is convenient but pricey. The truffle burger and Impossible burger receive positive comments, but many complain about long wait times, high prices, and small portions for the cost. Service quality varies.

Unami Burger Los Angeles Reviews
Really good food, for me at least. They accommodated all my requests, for more spice, salt and mayonnaise. Also really good service. Much better food experience than the KFC
Located in the international terminal at LAX, Umami Burger hits the spot. You can order and pay with the kiosk or the employees. The guy behind the counter was so nice & always smiling & makes eye-contact. The burger was so good. I had the truffle burger & tipped, so it was kinda spendy, but not too bad for an airport. The truffle sauce is sooooooo good. I highly recommend!
I’ve ate here twice and this place hasn’t let me down yet.. OTHER THAN THE BURGER BEING $20 & FRIES $7.. so total about $28. Both times I got the impossible burger with sweet potato fries. Very good and cooked to perfection. Fresh veggies and fries were delicious as well. It’s at the LA airport so the high prices are typical.
The truffle burger was delicious, although the truffle fries tasted mostly like Parmesan and not truffle since there was no cheese sauce. I tried to ask for some truffle sauce on the side and they said no. The service otherwise was great!
My wife and I are at LAX today and decided to have burgers and fries at Umami Burger. We both ordered the Umami Classic Burger. The burger comes with lettuce, tomato, pickles, American Cheese and Classic Sauce (described by the person behind the counter as thousand Island dressing). The burger tasted good, but in no way superior to any other burgers we have eaten. My wife loved the Truffle Fries, which were fries covered with Truffle cheese sauce. I ordered the sweet potato fries, which were supposed to have been seasoned with New Orleans spice but which had no such flavor. I also ordered the Cole Slaw, which had Classic Sauce but a very bland flavor. No real hint of vinegar, no celery seed, pepper or any real seasoning flavor. Service was only a little slow. Umami Burger is in the International Terminal (Terminal B), with a food court- area ambience. Airport food is known to be on the pricey side, so a $16.99 burger should not surprise. If you want an okay burger or good Truffle Fries, Umami Burger is as good a destination as anywhere else . I just can't say that it's burger is worth going out of your way for.
Grabbed a burger here before catching a flight. I had the original Umami burger and some sweet potato fries. Overall it was pretty good but very overpriced. It was comparable in flavor to an In-N-Out burger but 3x the cost. If I wasn’t trapped in an airport I would have gone somewhere else. Staff was friendly and helpful. Seating was very limited.
Probably the best burger I’ve ever had at an airport. Don’t know if that counts for anything but it was delicious. I ordered their classic umami burger with truffle fries. It was through a kiosk which I’m not a fan of but it was fast and simple. I’d definitely eat here again but I’d skip the fries. For an airport meal, it wasn’t that bad and the price was fair compared to other restaurants near by.
3.5 stars really. It's a little pricey for a small burger even at an airport. Sure their competition such as Burger King is cheaper and serves larger portions. But the food was good nonetheless, it did its job of an elevated burger. This place could use a few more tables and chairs. I got the manly burger and truffle fries.
I tried Umami burger when I was waiting in LAX Airport. The staff was patient and friendly even when customers were very indecisive. There was an unusually long queue. The waiting time for the food was Lil longer but that's understandable considering the volume of people that were being served. I tried their truffle burger with extra patty and bacon.I have to admit that the burger tasted very good. The burger bread had an amazing crisp to it.They had toasted it to perfection without burning it. Overall, good food but if you are in hurry, look elsewhere as the waiting time is longer than the average.
If you are in a hurry, don't bother trying to get food from this place. It takes an unusually long time to get your food. Now, if you have a little time, the wait is worth it. The patty melt is really tasty l, for an airport burger 🍔. The fries are well cooked and a nice item to nosh on. I had to take mine and run to the gate, to make my flight ✈️, so I can only imagine how nice it would have been to eat fresh on the grill. They burgers are a tad expensive, but it's the airport. I have to say the place is well worth giving a go.
Tried the Impossible Burger for the first time at Umami Burger. I know it's considered "gourmet" but at $18 it was a very expensive vegan burger. I ordered it with truffle fries. It was really good, lived up to the hype but was unimpressed with how long the order took to arrive. Also overheard other customers complain about how long it took, amongst other issues like apathy from the staff. Anyway the 3 star rating is down to service levels more than the taste of the burger which is recommended.
Service and staff were great but the food itself was incredibly overpriced and lacking of umami. The fires were bitter and tasted like just pepper, no salt. Won’t be back would rather by a ready made sandwich next door.
I choose Umami for a good bye burger on my way back to Europe. It was not the worst burger in my life, but one of the most disappointing ones. I payed 17$ for the Manly burger, and I got a greasy burger with an overcooked paddy, and greasy bacon and onion. All together, I eould have rather eaten a bowl of rice from Panda Express, than this...
Fries portion was good. Service was poor. Given wrong drink and no apology. Not able to pay cash at the time as the one till that had cash in it had no server to use it (they were on break). Pretty sure as well I didn’t get the Jalapeño ranch dip.
size not worth the price. If you see an old lady at the counter, run. The service is super slow and only she is serving both the counter and the food. Also I feel discriminated. All the people ahead of me get asked kindly about the sauce and the drinks are brought to their hands. For me , the drink is just left at the soda machine without letting me know and she just went to serve other people.also I don’t get my sauce. Black listed
The BBQ bacon burger says that it comes with cheddar cheese. Other burgers come with American cheese. When I opened up my burger it had yellow shiny cheese. When I asked for the burger to be made with cheddar they said that what I had is cheddar. "The American cheese comes in slices, the cheddar comes in a can like nacho cheese."
An expensive mistake. Ordered a cheese burger but got a horrible chilli burger. It wasn’t even a good chilli burger. How a burger, regular fries and regular drink can cost $40 is beyond me. Why they prompt for tips is another bug bearer, they are providing no service beyond handing you the food!
