Beatriz and her family are great. Ive been going to this restaurant since they opened their doors. The pizza is the authentic Uruguayan Pizza you would have back home. The Faina is phenomenal. Would recommend this place for a family outing. Its very cozy and the staff is great.
If you want quality Uruguayan food, this is your spot. Having been to Uruguay with my wife, this place takes me there every time. Nothing on the menu is bad, and the pizza is fantastic. If you want a taste of Uruguay without the cost of flying make sure you stop here. The owner is one of the nicest and most genuine people I’ve met. They are always my most recommended spot I tell people to go eat.
Been visiting this place for years. Love their milanesas, pizzas, cakes. The place is definitely a gem.
What a wonderful place to discover. Delicious Uruguayan food- we ordered two pizzas that were incredible. Very tasty and for 9 of us- two pizzas were perfect. You can BYOB. Check this place out for sure!
They have realy good hospitality. Their atmosphere is beautiful.
The food is perfect. I love the prices. The staff are super-friendly; thanks to the whole team. My favorite item, as always, is Uruguayan cuisine.
Pizzarra’s is the best Uruguayan restaurant I had tried in NJ. Being a family owned and operated business had been the secret of their success at maintaining consistency in their recipes and the personalized service that it will always makes you feel at home.
We randomly walked in on a Sunday. Owner came over to us explained everything the menu bc we had never eaten there before. Food was AMAZING! great flavor, and cooked to perfection. Really a good experience eating there. Can’t emphasize enough how personable and pleasant the owner was! Will be back
First, I love that this place is so close to where I live. I also love the fact that it is probably the only Uruguayan restaurant in Union City, NJ. Their pizza is unusually-shaped AND super delicious!! For the most part, every time I have visited, it has been to get a #cafeconleche and a sweet treat, to go. The owners and staff are very professional and friendly, the prices are reasonable, and they have a bathroom, too. Also, there are regulars that love the place so much, they eat there at least once or twice a week. Now that I AM back in my area, I look forward to finally having a delicious dine-in experience, too.
Great place to be at, great atmosphere, the 2 Waiters are great to joke around with, the owner is very nice and she comes round helping the waiters & talks with the customers, the food is always good & fresh. One of the FEW Argentine & Uruguayan places that , 1-don't rip you off, 2-give great service and 3-great food. Always full, but always seats available. You won't be disappointed.
Trully Uruguayan food. Same as there. Very simply and humble place. Do not expect fancy experience just the real taste
I've only been here a few times but from what I've had the food here is great albeit a bit pricey. You can honestly get yourself similar meals at other restaurants nearby for cheaper and of similar quality. Though I haven't tried their pizza yet so I can only speak in regards to the sandwiches and steaks. I also personally wasn't fond that one of the waiters were trying to sell us more food then what we initially wanted but aside from that the place was nice.
We've gone here for many years usually as to-go and not often as a sit down, but have a few times. Usually the food is hit or miss with it being average at best, which is fine. Unfortunately, they do not inform you that they have forced 15% gratuity even if you are a small party. Most places have gratuity added to the receipt for party sizes of 6 or more, this place seems to be 4-5 and it gets added on, which they don't tell you. Usually not a problem since I like tipping but I would have liked to know beforehand considering I tipped 20% extra on top of that as cash, despite service being very poor. If you come here, be careful as when you order to-go separately to take home as they do have good empanadas, they'll add it to the sit-down receipt to get a higher tip amount due to the already added gratuity. Ended up paying tip on to-go lemonades and empanadas too. This place is worth it if you're ordering empanadas to go but honestly nothing else
The food was disgusting it had pests on the plate Health and services NEED to look into this place The pizza dough is raw they claim its extra cheese , it's not its raw and smells like dough How are they still open? 🧺 Avoid the possible food poisoning, time waste, and headache. Go literally anywhere else
