I'm always out searching for the next best fried chicken joint out here in North Texas, and I think I found it (until I find the next one, that is!). Very small joint but boy oh boy, the chicken here is fantastic. I tried the 3 tender combo, spicy and with fried okra and a dinner roll on the side. Gotta say, the tenders were fried to perfection, crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. The okra, also breaded, seasoned and fried to perfection. The spicy option is essentially spice powder sprinkled onto the finished chicken tenders. Don't get me wrong, the spice powder does hold quite the punch, but not so much that it overshadows the delicious chicken and steals the show. The fresh brewed sweet tea, also fantastic as it is refreshing. Great balance of taste and sweetness level. Not bad for $10! As with any fried chicken place, fried food is best enjoyed on the spot rather than take-out. I'll be back to try the rest of their menu!
This place gets better with each visit. Josh, the store manager, was absolutely awesome and handled running the store alone with total ease. The food was fresh, and he had such a great, positive attitude the entire time. This was my first visit inside, and I was genuinely impressed—everything was so cute, clean, and well kept. My son is officially addicted to the spicy pickle wings and is now a regular! You can really tell this place has changed for the better!

Went into golden chick today like usual and was shocked when I was told they were out of everything. The manager working that day told me that the owner is really cheap and didn't order enough, so instead he gave me this. I would come back again to see this manager and thank him for the best chicken ever.

I always have a fantastic experience at this location! The staff are incredibly kind, and I've consistently enjoyed a great meal every time I've visited. The 3-piece fried chicken meal is definitely a winner!
Maybe I've just been lucky most of the time here. Except for one order that was promptly refunded (after I had to come back), this place has been solid. In my experience, the reviews are worse than the restaurant. One thing, I never use the drive-thru at any restaurant, always making the time and effort to go inside and be pleasant. It makes for a better experience for all involved parties.

Just meh. The fried catfish was pretty good but the chicken tenders were really small. I liked that they offer an extra side in place of a drink, however they forgot my extra side and forgot to give me my water cup. They also forgot that I ordered dine-in so I got my food all boxed up and in plastic bags. I was excited to give this place a try to help with all the bad reviews but I am not impressed. I was still hungry when I left.

I liked that they offer an extra side in place of a drink, however they forgot my extra side and forgot to give me my water cup. They also forgot that I ordered dine-in so I got my food all boxed up and in plastic bags. I was excited to give this place a try to help with all the bad reviews but I am not impressed. I was still hungry when I left.

I asked for 3 legs and an extra side order of corn nuggets other than the corn nugget side that came with my combo. What did it get? ……A leg, wing, and thigh and no extra side order of corn nuggets and a sweet tea. All that for $18. What? I can’t recall exactly what I asked for the last time, but I remember it was wrong as well. The lady at the intercom restated my order with three legs and an additional order of corn nuggets so my hopes were high that this order might be correct……but it is not what I received.

Food is okay. But they're slacking. Orders come out fast but they're wrong and then they take forever to correct them. Ordered 2 piece golden roast with a side salad and a bottle of water. Received it with no salad, no ranch. Got coleslaw instead. They also don't have hot sauce, or lotta zing packets.
I’m very sorry to give 1 star review but your salad which I paid $11 is not eatable and is going to the trash. don’t sell salads if they aren’t fresh ! And whatever chicken salad you throw on top is also bad .
First I ordered regular wings and they gave me spicy wings, then when I came back I found this in my box, a hair strand! I also ordered roasted chicken and it was severely undercooked! I will never come back here ever again, I had to got back twice, I also had to wait 10 minutes for my food, no one else was there, no one was inside, no one was in the drive thru. Just ridiculous, and this is the hair I have in my head it can not be mine!

Went tonight around 8:45pm and ordered 2 mashed potato bowls and a tender meal with fries. The female employee clearly had an attitude and didn't want to work. She said it would take 3-4 minutes to make fries and asked if we wanted to wait. We said no but she was still rushing us at the menu and then messed up the order on the bowls. And we still ended up waiting 8 minutes when no one else was at the store. At the window when we tried to tell her one of the bowls was incorrect, she shut the window in our face and walked away. As she's making our drink she wiped her nose on the back of her hand and proceeded to put ice with the ice scoop in the cup and make the drink. We waited until she came back to the window to tell her we no longer wanted the food and asked for a supervisor. She said she didn't know her supervisor's name, slammed the window while mumbling something and walked away. We waited to see if a manager would come to the window and no one did. When we tried to call the restaurant to report this to a manager no one would answer the phone. I will be calling the GM tomorrow and also the health department due to them being unsanitary!
I placed an order last night at the drive thru, part of which was a chicken sandwich. I was told it would take 10-15 minutes, so I told them I would come inside and wait. My daughter and I sat for 45 minutes before receiving our meal. We also didn’t receive one of our drinks. They looked severely understaffed. Also, A few weeks ago, an hour and a half before closing, we pulled up and were told they had no more chicken and were closing in 15 minutes. We love Golden Chick but this one has to be the worst one I’ve ever been to. Ever.
We went there today and pick up chicken strips for lunch. The chicken strips were cold and old Plus the spicy ones literally looked like they just sprinkled some extra seasoning on them. The potatoes were obviously instant and super watery. The gravy and the rolls were the only good thing out of our order. Very disappointed.
My husband went to pick up a $76 order two days ago and the lady there was alone at 5:30 with a brand new teenager having to run the entire place basically by herself due to call ins. She did her best but shouldn’t have had to be in that position. We got our order and were missing items. Apparently if you order online even for pick up it’s door dash which I understand because I run a restaurant where it’s the same way. So I email their corporate email for a refund and to let them know someone needs to get in there and help the staff only to be told by “the director of operations” that they’ll look into it. I emailed back saying I hoped to get a call from the gm and a refund. She emailed back saying that” I received the order and it was accurate so they won’t be replacing or refunding the order and as she stated she will resolve the staffing issue now that she’s aware. This location is new so I find it hard to believe the director of operations didn’t know they were understaffed and needed help. Honestly they can keep the money they’ll need it more than me but as a manager of a company that is franchised out but still has a director of operations that we have to answer too the entire process was just unprofessional. I hope they do better and get in there and fix things as for the corporate level it’s ridiculous and someone needs to be fired.

This cannot be regular behavior that is accepted by Golden Chick staff. When I left, I went to their competitor KFC. Much better place to spend your money and time

So yesterday me and my family went to this golden chick, My family LOVES golden chick. But this, this was very disappointing. We got there and ordered with the drive thru, Then we ordered a big and golden sandwich. We got told it would be a “10-15” minute wait, so we go in and sit and wait for the food. After waiting an HOUR to get the food, we were eating and the rolls tasted burned. Don’t know if we will come back to this location. And also, they maybe had 3 people working there MAX! 2 teenagers who didn’t know what they were doing and one woman actually doing her job. (Which I didn’t catch her name but thank you for doing what your supposed to.)

If I could give Golden Chick location 0 stars, I would. This was by far the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I ordered through the drive-thru and was told to circle around because my order wasn’t ready. I complied, only to be told to circle around again when I got back to the front. Frustrated, I went inside, only to not be greeted or acknowledged. I had to ask for help just to get my order, which took an additional 15 minutes. And to top it all off, the order was wrong. This experience screams poor management. I don’t want my food or my money back — I just hope they bring in new management because the current team is failing miserably.
