The scallops were absolutely delicious! Only went for a light lunch and early so it hadn’t got busy but will definitely be back as the bar itself was really nicely done.
Pulpo more than perfect, amazing carne, food is delicious, taste like homemade food. The attendance was marvelous! Everything 100% good and authentic!
We had absolutely amazing food and the place was really lovely (air conditioned and spacious). The staff were very accommodating to our needs and really attentive.
My favourite place to visit in Lugo. This is a charming, cosy restaurant with a beautiful ambience and characteristics both modern and traditional. The staff are wonderful, especially Ere! A real Gentleman! The owner is a very nice man too. The foods served are delicious. This is a wonderful place for dinner or even tapas on an evening with a drink. Definitely worth a visit if dining in Lugo.
Nice bar/restaurant in a quiet plaza.
Pienso volver a comer.
Very nice place to drink something and eat some snake
I had grilled salmon and it was very good. It's a bit overpriced and they charge you extra to sit outside. The service is fine, and it's in a scenic spot.
We had wines only here before we headed off for dinner. Service was good. We sat outside on a balmy, sunny, Thursday evening watching the world pass us by in a most agreeable part of the world.
The outdoor area is pleasant in summer, but the tables are very neglected; the paint that was once on the wood is peeling. We were seated at a table where the planks weren't in pairs, and we had to be careful with our glasses because they could easily fall. We went to try the croquettes and the calamari. The croquettes were cold and mushy, the calamari was too oily, and while I understand it's fried, it was excessive. I didn't like that the wine was poured from inside the restaurant. The prices were exorbitant for what we consumed. The waitress was completely overwhelmed, and there were too many tables for just one person. It's a shame; it's a very good spot in Lugo.
I don't think the product is of the necessary quality for the prices. They sell Pacific scallops (which arrive in Spain frozen) like scallops. The tuna belly and tomato salad also left something to be desired, with very thin half-slices of tomato, and some were slightly overcooked. The tuna belly wasn't even tenderloin; it was cut into strips, which is a bit odd, to be honest. The grilled squid was good, but just average. The staff was attentive, friendly, and fast, but the quality of the food is a no-no. I won't be back.
It's the restaurant I always choose when friends from Madrid come to visit me. Everything has always been good, but the other day I couldn't believe that in a place I've always appreciated, I found such food. The octopus was cold, and the oil didn't seem like olive oil. The oxtail was hard, some soft, and overly spiced. The squid rings were no mystery, needless to say, and the goat cheese lollipops were the same old same old. They do have a dessert they call "torrija," and it's nothing like "torrija." A slice of bread that's nothing like "torrija," with a broken biscuit base and a scoop of ice cream on top. I still can't explain how it's made, and I'm a cook. The worst thing of all is that they serve the food on broken plates. A real disappointment. The only good thing was the service of the two waiters who served us, a young woman and a young man, very attentive and pleasant. The food was generally cold.
It had a decent menu. The paella was mediocre as well as the albondigas but the desserts were good.
Food was alright. €2 for the bread is a bit higher than usual especially as it's nothing special. Some of the reviews mention a 10% tip but that is the VAT (tax)
A centrally located restaurant with very poor quality ingredients. In my case, the meat wasn't juicy like in other places; it was still chewy, even though I ordered it rare. The croquettes were basic and nothing special, barely homemade. As for dessert, I always order cheesecake, but I wouldn't recommend this one. It's not the typical creamy, rich cheesecake; instead, it's made with strong Castilian cheese, which is very heavy. And the prices are exorbitant for that kind of food and quality; not recommended. Plus, you see some rude staff members treating customers—it wasn't me, but it was awful.
COCKROACH! We went to this restaurant, and right in the middle of our meal, a cockroach decided to join the party. The waitress, with astonishing calm, told us that "they're agitated by the medication" they're given. Apparently, in this place, cockroaches also have the right to medication. 🪳 The worst part: the price was outrageous. The best part: the restaurant is committed to animals, since they don't kill the cockroaches. Point for PACMA! COCKROACH!
We came to Lugo for the day and sat down to eat on their terrace. For four people, they charged us €5.60 for two small baskets of bread. For a poorly cut tomato, it was €10.80. Don't order the tomato salad. (It's a rip-off.) The scallops were good. The octopus was good, but the portions were small and there were a lot of potatoes. I don't recommend grilled baby squid; they were soft but tasted like other grilled food. Not recommended. The medium-rare steak was tough, and they served it pre-cut. For dessert, we ordered two homemade flans; they were good. In short, there are more recommendable places down the street, with a daily menu. For the prices, other restaurants offer much better value.
Food ok. Hidden charges. Charged approx. €2 for the terrace, €2 for bread, and automatically added a 10% tip to the bill. Would never come here again. We were only 2 persons
The worst restaurant in Spain!!! I have been to many restaurants in Spain during the last 4 years but I have never had such a disgusting menu. We ordered "ensalada mixta" and "churrasco". The salad was almost inedible - there was way too much vinagre and no tuna fish, egg or esparagus, however we expected the main dish to be better. We got ribs with absolutely no meat on them! We refused to eat it. When we asked them to charge us the salad only, they asked for 7 euros (while the complete menu with wine, bread and dessert was 9!). The service was very unprofessional and the restaurant itself was very cold and the TV was too loud. This place is better to be avoided.
