Latham House Tavern Lyme Reviews
Drove past many times during work and decided to check it out. Looked online and saw a very nice menu with many comfort food selections. Nothing too fancy which is a plus. Loved the idea of old style taps which included Guinness. More of a plus. We were not disappointed. Loved the food, beer (both which were reasonably priced) and the ambiance. Very nice staff as well. Been several times now and will keep on going back.
I’m a fairly frequent patron of Latham House. Was so excited when it reopened after a short hiatus. Joined a friend for dinner. I had the Farmhouse Cobb salad which was delicious-have had it before and love it! And I had the blackberry margarita and it was delicious! Leah Zia was our server-she was attentive, pleasant and professional. I love Latham House, will continue to go to the restaurant and encourage others to as well. A real gem for upper valley residents.
I am very happy the tavern reopened! It has a very fun environment, has TVs should you want to catch a game with friends, great beer and cocktail selection, and all of the food is delicious. They have rotating daily specials too. I'm Summer, they also have a very big patio scene! Must visit!
Had a wonderful meal this evening! The truffle fries are worth it. And the Cobb salad and the chicken pot pie were fantastic. It is so nice to have the Tavern back and open!
One of the few times you should judge a book by its cover, you walk in to a beautiful atmosphere, followed by sitting at the bar with Don Julio himself who is not only a gentleman but a great conversationalist and bar tender. your food comes out hot and exactly as described, I dare say even better. This is the finest eatery in western New Hampshire and would compete with the best in the entirety of New England. Don’t change a thing.
We "discovered" this little Gem on a Jeep ride Early this summer and what a treat it is. The drinks are good, the atmosphere is dated but not rundown/shoddy. I like that kind of thing. The Coconut Shrimp appetizer was on point and had a nice tangy dipping sauce. We had sandwiches the first time and all were amazing. The second trip was last weekend and we were there a little later so we had dinner. The prime Rib was well cooked and served over the top of Mash Potatoes and also greens. We again had the Coconut shrimp app and again it was great. Drinks were good and they were also training a new staff member. Engaging and funny- great food and simply great all around. We wanted to do the outdoor patio space (which is super cool) but it was borderline too cold for how we were dressed. Definately a sweet little gem!
Yes! The Latham House Tavern is opened. They have opened with a limited menu and hours. The menu was pub favorites. The food, all of it, was outstanding. We started with an appetizer of pretzels, with their delicious beer cheese dip and also gourmet mustard. We then had entrees, fish tacos and a burger. We also ordered side salads. The salads were fresh and delicious. Unfortunately they came at the same time as our entrees. But we didn't say anything because maybe we should have been clearer. Our server was excellent. We will be back soon. Hoping they start bringing more dinner options to the menu soon.
The food here is absolutely delicious. I have never ordered anything that I haven’t been pleased with. The fish tacos are high in my list of favorite items. And their risotto is also delightful. They get busy so it is wise to make a reservation beforehand. If it is nice out ask to sit outside as the patio is lovely.
This was one of the best meals we've had in a long time! Really yummy food - even the leftovers were delicious. We sat outside under some nice umbrellas and had very friendly servers. The setting is charming with lots of beautiful flowers and trees.
We went to Latham House Tavern for dinner. I loved the heated outdoor seating tent. The tables were nice, and it felt really cozy. The staff was quick, and the food was wonderful. The pictures on their instagram are what the food actually looked like when it came to the table. (: I got the vegetarian-friendly kimchi fried rice, and it was one of the best meals I've had in the upper valley. The rice texture was varied, complex, and fun. The flavor from the kimchi and the sauce was spicy and creamy, and it blended great. I absolutely loved it. Fiancée got a barbecue pulled pork sandwich and also loved it.
Latham House Tavern is an amazing experience. The pathway up to the restaurant is very cute and perfect for pictures. The menu is made of all local foods and it’s delicious. There are also a good amount of choices on the menu, even some options you won’t find at many other restaurants (including a bacon wrapped meatloaf!). They have all local brews on top and have local spirits as well. The wait staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable making for an overall great experience.
Tavern with good beer and good food! Their service was the fastest I have experienced on one occasion when we arrived before 6 pm. After 7 pm it gets pretty busy on weekends so you can expect a wait for seating and food service. The rustic ambiance paired with hearty fresh food makes this a great outing for the whole family.
Food was good, except the creme brulee. It was pre-made and refrigerated. Soft, mushy top and no caramelized sugar crunch.
Disappointing.. patio went down hill from the old day, service was atrocious. It was like no one knew who was running what table. Food was missing from the order. Taste wise it was decent.
