Emma's Taqueria Madera Reviews
Pulled off the freeway on the way to Modesto and sure glad I did. Food and drink was amazing! Visited again 5-29-22, quality is consistent. Their food is really good! Definitely a little gem.
Small taqueria next to a grocery store that has some of the best pupusas around. I had the frijoles (bean) & calabaza (pumpkin) pupusas served with a lettuce salad and optional dressing. It was served fresh and just right by lovely hosts for a refreshing experience. The prices are great. Make sure to pay them a visit.
I ordered the pupusas and my friend ordered the fish soup, I loved my plate. He said he was definitely going back. Great flavor and good options.
I am not just saying this, this was the best breakfast burrito I have had in years! The owners are friendly, they keep the place clean but most of all, the food is exceptional! I can't recommend this place enough.👍 My picture does not do the burrito justice, I was showing how they wrap it to go. Nice neat and clean.
So far the best tacos in madera I loved the shrimp tacos and popusas definitely will go again
Great tasting tacos and burritos.. By far one of the best places in Madera..
madera has papusas.!!.food is authentic and sooooooo delicious 😋

Absolutely fantastic. If you have a chance to stop and eat, you will not be disappointed. Fresh homemade food.
My first time here, my brother brought me to this place. Really good menudo and pupusas the owners are very nice and friendly, very welcoming
Was a Sunday. Was craving a good Mexican breakfast and just THOROUGHLY cleaned my kitchen the night before so I didn't want to "mess it up". I went to one of my favorite places but found out they are closed on Sundays so I drove around looking for a hidden spot. FOUND IT! Not much on the interior decor but I was there to eat not lounge. As I was looking at the menu on the wall, I looked around and every person was eating menudo sooooo I joined the party. The bowls were HUGE but I opted for a smaller one, my partner got the Huevos Rancheros plate. OH WOW!!! The food was, as the kids say, FIRE!!!! Super delicious, flavorful, fresh! My partner got a Agua Fresca (Tamarindo) and THAT was amazing (they make it there and not with powder but the actual fruit)! The staff are SUPER nice and accommodating and checked up on everyone there! I love when I find places like this! Oh... and for those HATING on this.... give it another try. We've all gone to places that are "normally" good but even the best have off moments.
Great food. They made their own corn tortillas, the meat was smokey and tasty, and the salsa's were nice. My only gripe is the inside is a plain white room but I'm not there to eat the walls so... 5 stars!
I've ordered their pupusas, they are really amazing. They do taste super fresh authentic homemade! Very nice people. Whenever i'm in the area I do try to stop by. Support this gem!
The food here is definitely delicious and truly feels like a home-cooked meal. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great flavor. My only complaint was a customer who had a serious staring problem—it made the mood very awkward, and I felt like I’d done something wrong even though I’d never seen them before. Since the restaurant can’t control the other patrons, I’m still giving them 5 stars, but I’ll be sticking to takeout from now on so I can enjoy the food in peace.

Excellent food. Friendly staff. Bonus points for the presentation of the food. Fresh tortillas in the tacos. Really tasty papusa. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is that the interior is a bit run down. Worth a stop though.
I was excited to try this place on food reviews but…order was wrong. Fixed it ultimately to just get home to the wrong thing again. Kinda bland maybe what I had ordered but not fully thrilled with the service! I was super excited but maybe it was an off day.
Extra charge for salsa is dumb especially since i got two sauces the day prior but leave it out today?? Like what fr extra for sauce especially for the price of mediocre burritos with 2 day old asada meat but ehh it was close by
Food ok. Place need upgrades. And cleaning. Waitres more atention on and notice don't wash hands regularly wen grabbing different items.

I don’t know how this place has 4.5 stars… it tastes terrible, I paid $15 for a burrito and it was SO SMALL & MAINLY RICE AND BEANS! THE WORST BURRITO OF MY LIFE! DO NOT GO WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! I WARN YOU! The asada is nothing but fat… just horrible all around. DO NOT GO
Moved to Madera Ranchos. Bought pupusas and a burrito, the burrito had no flavor just rice and over cooked hard chewie meat, pupusas were bad no flavor at all and expensive. Never going there again
Emma’s has a bit of learning to do about serving the public. They don’t wear hairnets will cooking and serving food. Their serving spoons are not in water to keep particles from getting into your food. They short cut their caldo’s using knot to boost the flavor instead of cooking with fresh ingredients. They don’t wear gloves. They clean the steam table large towels that fall into the stem table pans that are full of food. The cashier doesn’t wash their hands after handling money & continues to work with food. Plain nasty. Health department needs to pay visit to this place.
