Volveremos
It used to be a great tapas bar. Now it's practically a trip back to the 70s and 80s. A relic of the past where people chat, you can have a beer with black pudding, pig's ear, and other products made right there. A place that, without any pretensions, has become a symbol of a way of life that defined us. A must-visit for tapas lovers.
A classic neighborhood bar. The first appetizer was pig's ear, incredible. Then came their classic selection of appetizers, where every round is a sure thing. Good prices, good food, and a great atmosphere. It's a neighborhood classic that shouldn't be overlooked. A third of a liter of beer costs 2.70... I doubt many bars in Madrid offer it with a tapa.
Super
I liked this bar. It's one of those in the neighborhood (I'm from Leganes) few are left like this one. I have tried the ear sandwich, very well made, neither too fried nor too soft. The portions are more than reasonably priced. Congratulations! Good, pleasant and close treatment. Suggestion: in the sauce, a little spicy, or one spicy and one not spicy. I say this out of personal taste, this ear with a little spice would be to die for. Thank you very much for the treatment.
A very popular place lately, due to its appearance on several television programs. It's in Villaverde Alto, a neighborhood south of Madrid. Accessible by metro or commuter train, which are relatively close, or by car, where you can park without much trouble. It's a long-standing neighborhood spot. I'm familiar with the area and have a vague memory of going there many years ago, so I waited for the boom to pass. First of all, the price. We had two sandwiches for two people and a half portion of entresijos to share, plus six thirds of beer for 22 euros. In other words, we left more than satisfied at just 11 euros per person. The portions are large. One sandwich can be enough for one person. That's why you have to order with a little care. Since you can order half sandwiches and sandwiches, it's no problem trying several things. You also get a free tapa with your drink. In our case, the ear with blood sausage and bravas. The quality was good enough. I liked the ear sandwich with blood sausage and the entresijos, and I liked it even more when I got the bill, which was what I paid. So you have to keep that in mind. If you want a beef sirloin, you have other options. The service was very good and very fast. The place isn't excessively large; it has a bar and a few tables. Depending on the time, it can be completely full. I went on a Friday around 3:30 p.m., and there was just a space at the bar. So, in short, for a bite to eat, it's a good option. When I'm back in the area, I'll definitely visit them again.
Brutal!!
I'd been wanting to come for a while and finally tried it today... The mixed sandwich with pig's ear and black pudding was spectacular, absolutely delicious! I loved it and will be back as often as I can. They also served us some offal, and it was just as good. I'm so glad I came and saw that reality surpasses the advertising. I also want to thank the young man who served us; he was incredibly friendly. It's a pleasure to go for breakfast like that.
I'd heard great things about this bar, and in my humble opinion, it's excellent—from the staff's service to the atmosphere and the spectacular food! I especially loved the mixed sandwich with pig's ear and black pudding—a fantastic combination. The offal was also delicious. Highly recommended, 100%. I'll definitely be back whenever I can.
Bar de barrio de toda la vida en pleno villaverde alto, pequeñito pero mantiene su encanto, atención muy rápida. El precio lo mejor y a destacar aparte de las orejas y morcilla (el tinto de verano) !!!! Deseando volver !!!
It's a bar located in Villaverde Alto, and its specialty is a portion of black pudding and pig's ear in sauce at a good price.
Small local bar, cheap food, cheap beer, no English so be prepared. Ear and blood sausage was good, very unique. Potatoes bravas were good, a little out of the way, last stop on line 3 metro, but a 5 minute walk from station.
Average place.
I went for the first time yesterday and I loved it. Great food, good prices, and the waiters were fantastic. Friendly and attentive, I highly recommend it and I'll definitely be back.
⭐☆☆☆☆ The truth is that lately, after a lifetime of going there, the bar service leaves a lot to be desired. On Saturday, October 4th, we ordered a Salobreña, and the girl at the bar didn't even know what it was—and she had the bottle right above her head! Plus, I had to repeat myself three times to order two beers and a Coke Zero. Thank goodness the owner was there and could help, because otherwise, we'd still be waiting. Finally, the music from the television is too loud, and the sound quality doesn't help: it makes it almost impossible to have a conversation at the tables. It's a shame to see how the service and atmosphere of a place we've always enjoyed going to has declined.
