Le Provencal Bistro Mamaroneck Reviews
A lovely local spot, perfect for those who enjoy classic French foods but want more eclectic options than those typically served in a French bistro. I ordered the grilled octopus salad and the Chicken Au Jus, my husband had the Foie Gras (which he said was some of the best he has had in a long time) and the scallop special. Everything was delicious and staff were attentive and courteous. I recommend a reservation as it seemed very busy.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Le Provencal: excellent food (hanger steak with pom frites and green beans, with banana cake for dessert), and top notch service, in a warm, cozy setting. We’ll be back!
In a time when so many restaurants provide seemingly the same, merely acceptable, fare, la Provencal stands out. Its offerings are not so different as to be unfamiliar, but their flavorings offer an interesting change to the standard tastes I've come to expect when dining out.
I was happy but not in love with the escargot, lacked flavor and was too greasy. The pork shank was amazing. lite and flavorful, works rich gravy. I will order it again and again, so worth it. This is an excellent restaurant.. the lavender martini was a bit sloppy but all and all an excellent dining experience.
First time having french food. We went with my husband for valentine’s day and loved it! It was so different, but delicious! The staff were all friendly and the drinks were great too!
Dinner last night was exceptional. We had the Venison with port wine sauce. It was cooked perfectly, utterly tender and delicious. Service was excellent, as well.
This restaurant hit every single mark and was absolutely exceptional. We got the beet salad, French onion soup, and onion tart to start, followed by the duck and beef stew for dinner. For dessert we had a chocolate mousse and moscato. Every single bite of every dish we had was packed with flavor. The house wine was delicious. Our waiter was so helpful and recommended all of the dishes to us and we're so happy he did because we truly enjoyed the whole experience. Service, food, ambiance 10/10!! This was our first time here and might become one of our regular spots if it stays consistent! Go try it!!!!!
First time here; what a great Bistro. Everything we ordered was delectable and plated so well. Service was phenomenal; Joaquin was a perfect waiter. Well spoken and personable. The risotto, seafood, pasta, lamb, & steaks were so tasty. The confit and escargot were so yummy. Splendid cocktails and wines. Desserts were perfect to cap off the evening. Wonderful restaurant. I'm definitely going back...
Le Provençal Bistro in Mamaroneck is a charming restaurant that captures the essence of Paris. The homemade foie gras is a must-try, and the French music sets the perfect ambiance. Don't miss the chef's specialty tuna steak. It's a delightful culinary experience that transports you to France.
Absolutely one of the best authentic french food bistros in NY Metro area ! including many places in Manhattan The waiters Tom & Vanessa are simply exceptional , professional and help make this place worth going to We come all the way from the city to eat here on a regular basis I can’t stress enough how fresh authentic and amazingly tasty their food is I just love this place !! you will too
**Disclaimer ** Usually I'm not a fan of take out because often times food gets too soft and you can't enjoy the same way as if you're in the restaurant.. With that in mind...I wish I had lunch here. However, I placed a large lunch order for my team at work. When I brought the food to the office, I was extremely surprised how well everything was packed. I was even more surprised how tasty and fresh the food was. No saggy or soft food. Everything was delicious! But the star of the day was the Foie Grass.. What a sublime experience! Thanks Mikkie, Next time we'll come in.
Ordered a steak, it was a piece of leather. Told the waitress, they offered nothing. French onion soup, and the beef bourguignon had a strange bite, like they were old. Definitely not going back
