The Clocktower Cellar Mammoth Lakes Reviews
Gem of a spot - dive bar right next to the village with amazing hh deals & good vibes. Good value for money, tasty food, and great selection of draft beers & whiskey, plus a couple cocktails. Friendly bartenders & chef take it to 5 stars. Don’t sleep on the gravy fries!
Perfect place to habg out, eat and drink! My wife and me came a few times after skiing , Try the peanut butter burguer!
Great bar, Great beers on tap from local to around the area. It’s downstairs with a basement feel great appetizers good food. You never know who you’re going to run into.
Excellent service! We came in to a packed bar with no seats, got a drink from the bartender pretty quickly considering the crowd, and found a side table to set our belongings on while we waited for a spot to open up. After 2 to 3 minutes a spot at the bar and a table and opened up and we grabbed a spot at the bar. The bartender Kyler is excellent! Fast, accurate and anticipated our needs and had the next drink order in before we finished our current drinks. Fabulous service despite the crowds of people that continued to flood in!
New menu is amazing! Perfect for this place. Quality ingredients presented to impress. Fantastic fare! A must do in Mammoth.
A great dive bar with great happy hour specials. It's below street level hence the name but quite accessible. Pool table and Foosball. Nestled between Mammoth brewery and The Village. Stop in for a drink!
The guys there. Amazing. Local crowd. Good whiskey and amazing beers. That's it!
Pub Food German Style, So Worth It. Cherry Berliner was Sweet. Fresh Squeezed is refreshing. Tater Tot “Nachos”? Yes. Pretzels are done right.

A must stop if you are a whiskey or beer drinker. Kyle, our bartender the last few times we've been there is very knowledgeable and friendly.
I've always loved it. I only gave 4 stars on a couple things because I havent tried too many different dishes, and sometimes it's SO busy that they can't keep up but they try. It's a fun place and the bartenders are terrific. Great beer selection, and of course the whisky
The atmosphere here is very warm and welcoming. The bartenders are personable and funny. The foosball table brought strangers together I'm definitely coming back. Was recommended by the locals and now I see why
Place was packed and everyone was having an awesome time, bartenders friendly and funny. We had the sausage platter delicious, easily feeds 4 people. My favorite was the Bibb salad. I highly recommend it. Now to the best one if all, was the cook. The food was amazing, he helped take my food to my table, he had such a beautiful smile. With staff like that, who wouldn't want to go back

One of the only bars in town. Couple reasons it didn’t get 5 stars from me is, there is a bar tender, redhair, she’s very rude, not friendly at all, annnnd they close extremely early. Other places in town open later. Still a fun convenient place to hang out. Downstairs under alpenhof lodge.

The bartender was amazing, Possun. The only thing that was missing was my favorite tequila Blowfish!
This place has an impressive whiskey selection and is a great place to hang after an active day around the area.
The Reuben was perhaps the best I'd ever had. It was meaty, rich, and decadent. The tater tots were amazing: crispy and well-cooked. However, the "Lederhosen" pretzel was a soggy mess with nacho cheese as a sad substitute for a good beer cheese.

Perhaps there’s a disconnect from what their website says (“happy hour everyday starting at 4pm”) and what the bar staff was trained. When we came in at 4:30pm and asked what the happy hour special was, Kyle told us “$1 off draft, $1 off wells… $8 Coors + Shot” and didn’t mention anything for food. The draft board has all draft beers/kombucha/cider listed as $8, Miller or Coors was $5, and a few wines for $14. We ordered 2 draft beers and decided to hold off on food. When tabbing out we were charged full price for the beers ($16). Another man who ordered a beer (at 4:45pm) and paid immediately was also charged $8. A little frustrated by the charge after being told there was a special. The interior was what you’d expect of a basement pub. Old, cluttered interior that was dingy from age, though seemed clean enough. Service was otherwise fine. It wasn’t busy so he got our drinks immediately and mostly kept to the end of the bar until called upon. Also be warned that their credit card authorization charges $50 automatically to test the card when starting a tab—YIKES! It was refunded, but that’s a large sum and I at first thought there was a fraud charge. (Gas stations or online vendors usually do a $1 test)

Only had 1 menu for entire place. Unique environment loud music with professional wrestling on TV but hey if that your thing! Lol

The Clock Tower Celler treated me like a criminal for absolutely no reason. I showed them my real, government-issued ID, and instead of handling it professionally, they threatened to call the cops. When I told them to go ahead and call so it could be verified, they suddenly escorted me out and kept my ID. The bouncer was unbelievably rude, aggressive, and completely out of line the entire time. I’ve never been so disrespected by a business in my life.
Kitchen closes very early. Loud and unkempt. That has an appeal at times, but I feel mostly when you're 12 to 23 years old. If you want quiet, and to be served food until an establishment closes, don't come here. If you want friendly-ish bartenders, pool, and a hole-in-the-wall feel, this is your place.

There is truly nothing to do in mammoth in the evenings if there is a line wrapped around the building in order to be packed into a basement like sardines… not the vibes for a fri or sat night after skiing!
