Saigon Town Pho Manteca Reviews
Was very clean good food, large portions, very great taste
Have been waiting for this to open. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Food is fresh and delicious.
I sneak off just to come here. Every time I come food and service is amazing.
Best crispy Tofu in Manteca! (Try the peanut sauce with it!)
Good customer service and delicious food.
This place is new. We tried Vegan Pho, it’s amazing 😋😋😋
It seems to be a pleasant place to enjoy THE BEST PHO EVER.
10/10 highly recommend best pho in Manteca
Quick lunch spot and great service
First time there. We’ll be back regularly.
Great pho and spring rolls.
Great pho
Food is bomb love it
Good Pho place in Manteca
So far the best in town.
Good food and good service.
I just wanted to say you guys are beautiful people and whoever slipped in a free bbq Sammy I love you. Bless you. And I hope you guys have a good weekend! -maribel from BLD
Food was great! Tried the pork bahn mi and the beef! Will be trying the pho next time
The pho broth is really good.
Oooooh may Goooodness...Wagyu and Lobster Pho and they make thier noodles fresh every day...."I'll be Back" in (my T-1000 voice)
I took my family there and the grandkids love it. I had the beef vermicelli and it’s was wonderful.
Great customer service everyone so friendly. The food n boba drinks so delicious
In response to Bethany Bickham that's not how you eat pho, you don't even know what you're doing, at least boil the broth and cook the raw meat for 30 seconds then add to the bowl. This place is the best when it comes to pho in Manteca, you'll get a fair amount of meat and the broth is flavorful and clear, unlike the other pho restaurants.
Food was great and sufficient portion. Staff very friendly, welcoming and very professional. I sure will be back whenever in town.
Love the waitress service very nice food was too good I guess just like the waitress savannah
Had the combination vermicelli & Bon Bo Hue. Both excellent. Good flavor. Nice char on the chicken. The lychee drink was super good. Definitely will be bringing friends in.
This is my new favorite pho spot! Great service, and a great selection of meats to choose from. Have visited 3 times and everything has been amazing each time!
Great food, great atmosphere, fast service. The fried tofu is SO good
This is by far the best Pho restaurant in the city, reminds me of some very good Pho place in the Bay Area. The Owner, Angie and Thanh are very friendly, I've been taking my family here the last month and the service is extremely consistent. I highly recommend this modernized establishment.
I'm amazed a pho place this good would be in a little town like Manteca. This is genuinely the best pho I've ever had, I don't know if I'll be able to go back to my other spots after this
👍
Nice people. The reason why I gave it four stars is due to a standing for quite a while before we were told we could seat ourselves. It seemed the cashier assumed we were waiting to order takeout. Other than that, everything else was very good!
Nice, friendly, fast and YUMMY! While doing my #RealEstate thing in #Manteca, CA I did a little sight-seeing and came across a little mall and there found #ThePho -- a busy and welcoming Vietnamese-cuisine restaurant. Since I was in between appointments, I opted "to go" and got a quick chicken sandwich and ice coffee. It was all good, and price very reasonable. Will come again when in the area! #TheBrokerWithAHeart
Overall a really pleasant experience. Very nice and clean on the inside. I got to say there food is really good my wife and I ordered one large #1 combination pho (it was amazing) one #2 pho soup (also amazing) a vegan spring roll and a shrimp spring roll and everything I would give it a solid 10/10. In my opinion best pho soup in Manteca and near by areas for sure. Definitely will be coming back
I have been in the mood for Pho, and we are sooo happy we stopped by. Today, was our second trip in two days. The Pho was hot and full of flavor. The chicken wings, spring egg rolls and the pot stickers, to die! We found our Pho spot. Recommend!
I got to try meatballs. My girlfriend got the seafood and I also got pot stickers and pork rib platter. And also got Chai tea And I would love to say it's the best I've ever had. So to all my followers And food critics like me. I would definitely say give this place a try.
First time trying it and I loved the experience the place was very clean friendly staff and I love that they give you a jar full of water on the side because I hate asking the waiter for more water lol, The food was really good I got number 2 and the meat was very tender not chewy at all, which means a lot to me because I’m a texture person. The spring rolls are kinda pricy it’s 2 for $8 but they’re pretty good.
This is my first time trying this restaurant and only found it because of google Map. We got a table right away for 11 we ordered a variety of food totalled bill around $230.00. I always order the pho number 1 large and its pretty good. Bean sprout looks ok(still crunchy but looks like a day old). Fried chix appetizer looks bland needs to be marinated. We also ordered tarot shake with bobba but the bobba is just a jelly and not a black bobba balls. Mens restroom is very big and clean so that’s a plus.
I found this place while randomly selecting a place to eat for my birthday. I got the grilled pork with eggroll vermicelli dish. My boyfriend got the grill pork chop fried rice plate. Everything was so delicious. We left very satisfied. We are definitely going to come back.
My brother and I were taken here this past Sunday by two friends of ours for our first time ever and I loved it! Tried out the combination pho plate and it was really good! Different but neat experience! The waiter who served us was very pleasant and she delivered all our meals timely and properly. I also enjoyed their Hersey's slush shake (though it was really sweet, maybe a bit too sweet for my usual liking but ok as an occasional treat). Excellent time all around 🍽️😇😋 Apart from food I really like the black granite bathroom style and the Vietnamese street corner signs, as well as the aesthetic chandelier lights. Very unique 💡
This review is very special to me. It is long but it is definitely worth the read. I've been coming to this place for many years now. I have dined in once. Every other time i either called in orders for pickup or have had them delivered. Every experience I have had with this place has been great. I don't repeat restaurants often but this one has been my favorite for the longest. When you arrive to dine inside you are almost immediately greeted by smiles and warm hospitality. The servers are very attentive and very skilled in service. It is extremely clean, had alot of space and seating, smells great, and has a large healthy and DELICIOUS menu. The service is fantastic and the team really goes above and beyond to provide not just a great dining experience but a great interaction and memory every time. Aside from my orders ALWAYS being correct and delicious... My favorite part about this place is the people who run it. Their kindness and care for their customers is above and beyond. They are passionate about what they do and they love doing it. That is what sets them apart from all the rest. Today I placed an order for delivery. I have been sick and feeling very overwhelmed by life the last few days, as alot of us are feeling right now. In the special requests I took a moment to share that I was really going through something that had taken away my appetite. I hadn't eaten in three days and was really looking forward to the veggie sandwich option that they have. It's incredible. Not only did I receive my order promptly, as usual, made to perfection, as usual, and incredibly delicious, as usual... I also received a personalized note. One that completely turned my day around and I felt myself smiling for the first time in days. Like actually smiling with literal tears in my eyes. I was so touched. People ... This is absolutely the place to spend your money. This is a business truly worth supporting. I will continue to be a customer and supporter for many years to come. Thank you The pho team. I appreciate you all. And to the person who wrote the note. You have NO idea the impact that you made today. I am grateful for you.
I had intended to eat elsewhere nearby, but I came across this Pho spot and decided to give it a shot. Surprisingly, the interior was charming, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I was surprised to see its low rating. I'll definitely be returning here whenever I'm in the area.

We've been here twice. It's a newer building. Very clean, the waitress was very nice and the food was great. My GF had beef Pho and I had a soup that was fantastic. I told GF that I could hardly wait to come again it was so good.
I enjoy this place a lot. Mainly because the pho broth isn’t too oily. It tastes very light and smooth. My only complaint is the wait times can be long for food. 5/5

was pretty pricey but overall very good! expect to spend 20-40 per person
I've had better pho, but this was not bad. I will give it another shot.
Great food, Pho is the best.
The food is good but the portions you order when dining in vs take out are a huge difference, combination rice is 16$ so they need bigger containers.
Went to try the new Pho' restaurant for lunch with my wife. Service was good and fast for lunch time. Food was pretty good, I'm picky since I can make a good Pho' myself. We will go back and try some of the other dishes.
food was decent, menu was kinda small. the server came back 3 times to confirm the order, maybe just write it down next time.
Got vegan pho. Was tasty. Lots of veggies. Fresh flavor
New Pho Restaurant. Just opened recently so you know we had to try it. We were going to order todo but decided to dine in since the ambiance was so nice. All the employees were very nice and efficient. We got the egg rolls and chicken wings as an appetizer, both were good but I do wish the chicken wings had different flavors to chose from. My BF ordered the #1 Pho combination and it loved it and had no complaints. I ordered the Combo rice plate that came with a grilled pork chop, 4 grilled shrimp, an egg roll, rice( I upgraded to fried rice) and soup. Everything was so delicious. Will be back soon.
We saw this opening and decided to give it a try. The service was great and the atmosphere was too. The portions are big but flavorful. One of us had the pho combo and one had the spicy beef noodles. Both good. The gyoza was delicious as well as the chicken wings. The Vietnamese coffee and Thai milk tea were big hits for us. Would 100% go again.
Really great pho, decent size. Prices are pretty fair besides the drinks. Service was very quick and both servers were incredibly nice. My biggest issue with this place is that they didn't fill up my black coffee, which was 6 bucks, to the top. Basically it was a half filled plastic cup... which was only even half filled because it was just stuffed with ice. Like it took me maybe 2 gulps to finish because it was barely a mug amount of coffee. It's kinda insulting honestly because a cup of coffee this size would be MAYBE 4 dollars anywhere else and would have tasted the exact same. It's like air in my lays chips bag. Still, pho was pretty great, would definitely come back for it. Oh, and the music choices are also beyond annoying though. They're all very cliche millennial pop music covers with hideous snap beats. Just not my vibe, maybe it's yours. Still I'd recommend this place for the pho alone; it was really great. High 7/10
I had the pork chop plate and my boyfriend had the filet mignon pho, we both loved our food! We also tried the chicken sandwich and it was so good! I thought the pork chop was a bit skinny at first but it was very filling. They also had good service and the atmosphere was nice. Will be back again!
I understand that you are looking for a calm setting. This place is perfect for you, with a great portion size and a very clean environment.

There's a separate vegan menu. The roll and pho I had were nice and I think this will be my new regular spot for hot food in a pinch! Price is very fair.
This is my go-to spot in Manteca for Pho. Never disappoints! I've never dined in so I gave 4 stars for service. But the people working there are always nice. When I eat in, I may come back and add that extra star!

Dirty bathroom and outside Food to strong smell. There is too much seasoning.
Meat was very chewy and fatty. Little to no Flavor
I got the combo pho and little did I know that it had tripe and pig fat in it. As much as I’d like to be that adventurous, I’m not. However if it was without all the exotic fat it probably would have been bomb cause the broth was very tasty. The young man and young lady who were the servers were exceptional and very sweet.
Spring rolls with beef, had the toughest meat, I have ever had. I couldn't even eat it, because it was like chewing taffy that wouldn't break up... I tried to say something to the staff, by she walked away, not being interested in what I had to say. Egg was over cooked, super tough shrimp as well. However, the beef stew is a saving grace. Great flavour, soft meat, very nice. Staff also asked if I wanted more toppings. So, I dunno. Would probably have to try this place again to give a more thorough review. Perhaps I just got a bad batch for the spring rolls, and the cook was having an off day for eggs. Edit: Upon leaving, staff asked how everything was, and they did apologize for the toughness of the spring rolls. So, overall I will definitely give this place another go. Feel like I definitely just got an off piece of meat, and probably an off egg.
Customer service was good and place was clean and quiet, but the pho was just OK. The broth had no flavor.
First time here, as they just opened up a few weeks ago, the pho is decent, fried calamari was decent, my bro enjoyed the pork rice plate with the egg on top, service is decent as well, they forgot to bring me my water and veggies for the pho. While I was eating I noticed a pair coming in sitting down and leaving after 5-10 mins after they didn't get there orders taken, also people came in to pick up food and they had to wait another 10-40 mins for pick up.
2nd time - Same experience as the 1st time and it's the last time I'll try it. There was even a lady that sat after us complaining about the same thing I wrote in my previous review. 1st time- I've been waiting a while to try this place. And as soon as you walked in I could tell it was going to be one of those days. The sign said please wait to be seated so we waited. Then the girl said sit wherever you want and she followed us put the menus down and walked away. The place had a funny smell that I can't describe. Once our order was taken four people that sat down after us got their food first. Are we ordered was the combination appetizer 2 bowls of pho and a hot tea. Before I order came out the girl brought a small platter of condiments for the pho. We never got the tea. Food was okay but the atmosphere was not.
Place is very modern and clean inside. Service was ok . Had the pork chop rice plate with added fried egg and the shaking beef. They brought us a small bowl of pho broth too. The pork chop was delicious. The shaking beef was small portion, overcooked meat but tasted ok. The broth was awesome, fragrant and flavorful so we honestly want to come back just to have the pho next time to try out. I would have the pork chop again but we wouldn't order the shaking beef again. Overall decent place and we will update if we come back again.

Great customer service, food decent however the tables, sauce bottles shakers are always dirty. Every time I go there there always grim or old food residue one the equipment.
Food is great, my problem is some of the staff like Rubi from today need customer service training, learn to smile and be welcoming. I will take my business across town from some pho. Also I have been calling to order over the phone for two days and no one ever answers.

I ordered the number 8 today. Just not much flavor at all and overly chewy meatballs. First time trying this place....much better places in Manteca in my opinion. Meh.
Save your time and money Learn how to make it at home. When this place first opened, it was phenomenal. The wait staff was attentive, friendly, and made you feel welcome every visit. The food? Always fresh, flavorful, and consistent; from the pho broth to the spring rolls and every side in between. Fast forward to now, and it’s a gamble. Some days, the staff is warm and accommodating. Other days, they seem uninterested or even irritated to be there. The food reflects that same inconsistency; some visits everything tastes fresh and properly made, other times it feels like I’m eating leftovers from the day before. I’m not sure what changed over the past 10 months, but the quality has clearly slipped. I really wanted to keep supporting this place, but at this point, it’s just not worth it.
The chicken was a grey and the whole thing just tasted off. We were also given a pretty miserable portion of sides for the pho.
We walked in for the first time and everything seemed great. We ordered and asked if everything was in there because we were in a rush to go home, which the girl who gave us our food said "yes". she didn't check our bag and she forgot a part of our meal.
I’ve eaten here twice now and each time we’ve gotten terrible stomach aches. It’s whenever we eat the fillet mignon pho and it makes me wonder if their meat is contaminated… also the cashier our first time around must not have handled money very often cus our total was $60, handed her $70 and she asked where the rest of the money was… what do you mean? Where’s my change??
Visted at lunchtime, only a few people. It's ok, not great. No egg noodle option for the pho. The flavor was bland and kind of tasted like a powdered broth. The first table I sat at was sticky and moved to another, also sticky. It's not a place I will return to.

My family and I have been eating here for a couple of years. Most recently we have been ordering through DD but today we went in for lunch. The waitress was behind the counter where the food comes out from the kitchen, combing her hair. I was so disgusted. I asked the other waitress if she please tell her not to comb her hair around the food. The response was we are just doing the silverware no food is ready yet. I was appalled, why did they not see a problem with this!? I will no longer patronize this establishment because if they had no problem with this what other disgusting thing is ok. Eat at your own risk! The tables are sticky as well

They close their kitchen at 8:30
Go somewhere else. Its not worth the price or the wait.
didn’t even eat because the women’s bathroom was growing mold out of the bathroom. if the bathroom wasn’t clean, i couldn’t even imagine the kitchen.
The grilled pork banh mi was not grilled pork. The pork was different. It had way too much sauce. Overall it was not good.
I visited this place for the first time tonight.. and I will never return back here again.. service sucked... the waitress was very rude!
The soup was cold and the meat is raw. There was no way you can eat it,so bad
I had to wait for more than an hour for my food, the appetizer which is supposed to come first was given after the meal. The boba was no cooked and was still hard. After waiting so long for a poorly served food they still asked for a tip.
How are you going to call the restaurant The Pho? It should be called Da Fuq??!! Broth ice cold. Other reviews stating e.Coli from dining here. Meager portions of noodles and beef. This is literally the worst attempt at making Pho I’ve ever seen. Waited 30 MINUTES FOR ONE ORDER OF PHO. Hideously overpriced. Never going back. Don’t waste you time or money.
The food was decent. Wings were amazing. Everything tasted normal. But my entire group ended up with a stomachache and in the bathroom.
You get nothing but water in soup. Bad service Not coming here anybody. Left here still hungry 1 waste of money. Went to another pho Lot better.
Came in with my niece and cousin there was Awful smell. The pho was OK and the spring rolls are OK. I won’t be trying this again.
I took a bite and tossed it. I ordered a to go order of the combination pho. I've had pho from all over the US and Vietnam, I like the differences from different places. Looks good. This broth is bad. The large size had good amounts of meat and noodles. Minimal garnish, which was ok because I didn't eat it. 😞 So sad to be ready to eat delish pho and get something that was so unappetizing I just tossed it. Fresh rolls were bland but I ate one.
Refused service with 20 minutes before close... I just got out of surgery and needed some pho. Worst customer service ever, no alternatives no well make it up to you. Ill make sure I tell everyone to back me on this boycott. Infact, if you are thinking of dining here message me for a free $20 to go somewhere else.
Came in from out of town with my little family (5 boys) total of 7. Worse service ever. Didnt attend to us, we had to grab the menus ourselves. And also had to grab their attention to order. I thought to myseld, for sure they arent getting any type, for what? Horrible service. Only for them to hit me with gratuity fee themselves. Smh. I dont recomment this place at all.
Pretty sure i got food poisoning from here. I threw up on the night I had my early dinner/lunch with a friend. I had the beef soup. The service is good, but when I came home my stomach felt awful and I could barely move.
Just Warning to some folks. I have visited many Vietnamese/pho restaurants without any issues w food and service. But on this recent visit to try a new restaurant. Customer service and atmosphere was good. Got a table easily. I had ordered a combination rice plate w side of soup. Mom had ordered a raw Filet Minion flank steak pho. Fast forward 2 days. Mom wakes up w high fever w shakes and shivers. Brought her to Emergency at Hospital. Medical staff did tests on her, they had found that she had E-choli. I really don't want this new restaurant to have any issues but just to practice safer technics on food handling because I wouldn't want other customers to get sick also. Also to customers be aware of the risks of some foods.
The $15 fried chicken plate was very, the $13 appetizer trio is a joke. The two $15 large pho bowls didn’t have much just a lot of broth. The beef broth that came with the chicken was more flavorful than the broth in the pho. First time experience, not empress. Will go else where from now on.
When we entered the restaurant, I told the waiter that there were seven of us today. The waiter asked us to sit opposite the door of the restroom, and we smelled a very unpleasant odor mixed with the smell of urine. Since there were few customers, we asked the waiter to change our table. We ordered four large bowls of Vietnamese pho and two servings of rice. When the food was served, the waiter didn't give us chopsticks or spoons. They also didn't provide bean sprouts, coriander, or lemons. I had to urge them to serve us three glasses of ice water. I was really confused. We also ordered a serving of fried rice, but the portion was very small. Even a six-year-old child couldn't get full. And there were no utensils provided either. Every time we asked, they would give us just one piece of cutlery. Five out of the seven of us at the table had to take turns going to the counter to get the cutlery, and only then would the waiter slowly give us one piece of cutlery at a time. After we finished eating, I asked the waiter why we didn't have all the utensils and why the vegetables and lemons that should come with the Vietnamese pho weren't provided. The two waiters just shifted the blame onto each other. There were less than ten customers in the whole restaurant today, yet they forgot everything that our table of seven people needed. One of them just said indifferently, "Sorry, I forgot," and then left without paying any more attention to us. My bill today was $176.15. This bill really made me very unhappy and I felt neglected and难受. However, I still gave them a 15% tip because it was my child's birthday today, and I didn't want such a wonderful day to make everyone feel unhappy, so I chose to stay silent. I understand that it's not easy to find a job nowadays, but they can't just ignore the dining experience of the customers like this. I hope that customers who go to this restaurant will remember my reminder. Make sure they provide all the food items before you start eating, otherwise they will just ignore your needs.
My second time here and this make me realize why I never went back after that first time. Waitress sucks, they sat us down and we waited awhile to get any service. They couldn’t bring any water for us while we wait but beside that when she did come take our order, we told her everything all at once and she didn’t write anything down and that’s when I knew she was going to forget something and of course I was right. So I didn’t say anything until I had to go up there and pay and she asked me how was everything and I told her that it was good beside the fact that she forgot one of my order and she wasn’t not sorry bout it she just said oh you order that well it’s not the receipt. That’s when I paid and left and never ever coming back. I don’t know how there running there business like that, while I was there they lost a few businesses by not cleaning up the table and having no place for people to sit. There was about 6 to 7 dirty table that was from other customers that was there before.
