Visiting from Canada .. we ended up at Sucar Brusc on a Monday night after looking for a restaurant to eat at that was either open or not fully booked and we ended up here. We tried quite a few things on the menu and they were all so tasty!! The waiter spoke great English and was very helpful with food recommendations. Our favourite dish was the Cipolla di Sermide. Such an interesting flavour and food experience. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Mantua!

Today, I had the pleasure of dining at a charming restaurant in Mantova and experiencing some of the most authentic local cuisine that the city has to offer. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. As a lover of Italian cuisine, I was thrilled to indulge in some of the traditional Mantuan dishes that the restaurant had to offer. Every dish was beautifully presented and made with the freshest ingredients that truly captured the essence of this wonderful region. I was particularly impressed with how well the flavors of the dishes were balanced, and how each dish had its own unique character. Of course, no Italian meal is complete without a glass of wine, and the restaurant did not disappoint in this regard either. I had the pleasure of sipping on a delicious glass of Franciacorta, which perfectly complemented the rich flavors of the food. The ambiance of the restaurant was also delightful, with a cozy and comfortable atmosphere that was perfect for a relaxing lunch. The decor was tasteful and elegant, with just the right amount of rustic charm to add to the overall experience. In terms of service, the staff were attentive, courteous, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were always on hand to offer recommendations and provide any assistance that I needed throughout my meal. I was particularly impressed with their attention to detail and their commitment to making sure that every guest had a truly enjoyable dining experience. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for an authentic taste of Mantuan cuisine. From the delicious food and wine to the inviting ambiance and exceptional service, this restaurant truly has it all. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Mantova.

This place had the best pasta I’ve ever eaten in my life. Even months later I still think about it and wish I could come back. Other dishes also tasted delicious and the service was wonderful!

We were positively surprised by this excellent Restaurant. Great food. All ingredients sourced locally. Very good wine list. Highly professional and friendly staff. Cool location. This is what you expect from a Restaurant in 2022: enthusiasm, honesty, courtesy, professionalism. Not the usual tourist trap! Well done guys!

Delicious meal and extensive wine list. Loved all the ingredients, high quality ones. The risotto was perfectly balanced, everything seasoned to perfection. I would come here all the time if I lived in Mantova!

Absolutely everything top-notch: service, atmosphere, food, wine. Just incredible. We literally just finished our lunch here and are already planning to come back. Definitely get the caramelized onion antipasto (see photo), it’s so unusual and creative but also delicious!

We had an incredibly tender pork cheek entree. Ham and burrata first course was great. We had a special of the day artichoke pasta. outdoor seating on a quiet street. Make a reservation in advance!

Creative modern Italian cooking which produces intense, delicious flavours. Reasonably priced for the quality, especially the wine. But a few weaknesses detract from the pleasure of eating here: bread is poor - underbaked and slightly stale. Millefeuille pastry (in the stunning chicken liver and plum dish) should be much crisper and lighter - maybe assembled too far in advance? Poached peach was hard/under ripe. Papadelle stuck together in places so undercooked. Stir the pot! In a place like this, pasta should be perfect but sadly we didn’t feel that even our gentle mention was welcome. A mobile phone ban would also be good! Customers walking in on their phones, taking calls at the table spoils the atmosphere. Even so, the memorable flavours and creativity make this restaurant a special experience.

The food and waiters were excellent. price was surprisingly well. However the acoustics in the rooms were not good. It was hard to keep a conversation when there were several in the room.

Although the service was friendly not a good experience. Food was tastless and pappardelles too oily / buttery. prices relatively high.

I problably had too high expectations due to the many good reviews and the Michelin stuff they print on their door, but I ended up having a rather "meh" dinner: both first and main course were recommended from the waiter, and they both looked and tasted somewhat bad. Wine pairing was also a disappointing. I wish I went to a more down-to-earth restaurant in town instead.
