Melting Pot - Maple Shade Maple Shade Reviews
Delightful experience all around! The ambiance was beautiful, the facility was tidy, the hostess was friendly, and our server, Tori, was AMAZING. Super personable, very knowledgeable, and incredibly mindful of our needs as the night went on. Thank you so much!
Took my wife here for our 30th anniversary! This place did not disappoint, the server Aiden was awesome, the manager was great! Definitely would recommend this for your special occasion or just dinner, the service and food was top-notch! This was our first time going to eat at this place and we will definitely be back! Also met my GLUTEN FREE needs on all 4 courses.
Went here for our wedding anniversary last month and it was the first time eating there. Overall it was a good experience, im just not sure if I would do it again or frequently. It is a little pricey for the portions in my opinion. The dessert fondue was probably my favorite. We got the smores. They did give us a few more dippers because we ran out pretty fast. They also gave us a single cube of pound cake for our anniversary. We did have to pay for the petals on our table though. I'd say experience it once and it's probably enough. Sat in the private area but unfortunately could still hear loud kids.
Honestly we had the best time! Our server REN was a total gem throughout the night. He explain everything (our 1st time ever)and gave awesome recommendations. The touch of romance to our dinner made it so special. We loved the little private area and rose petals. We can’t wait to return!
We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday here and the food and service was fantastic. Alexis, our server made sure the night was special. The manager checked in as well. Dinner was enjoyable.
5 stars! We came to The Melting Pot for our anniversary, and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. Our server, Aiden, was incredible, super sweet, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The service was fast, the food was delicious, and every detail was thoughtfully done. Even though we ended up staying past closing, Aiden was so kind and told us there was no rush at all. It made the evening feel extra relaxed and enjoyable. My boyfriend had rose petals placed on our table, which made the night even more romantic—I absolutely loved it! We left full, happy, and grateful for such a lovely night. Can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend for date nights or any special occasion.
Food and service was amazing! First time coming here and would definitely come back again! The spinach and artichoke dip was to die for 😩❤️! The waiter was super outgoing, had great recommendations for drinks and took her time explaining everything! Great birthday dinner!
Not only was the service exceptional, but the food was beyond amazing. The entire experience is worth every penny even if you don’t keep in mind how great the food and service was. Bailey (our waitress) was so sweet and extremely helpful. She steered me and my husband in the right direction for our entree to be cooked and helped suggest the best dessert drink. Her and the restaurant really helped make our anniversary one of the best (if not the absolute best). I can not recommend this restaurant enough
It was our first time going here and we had the best experience! Edwin was our server and he took the time to explain everything we needed to know to be able to enjoy our dinner. When we arrived he asked if we were celebrating anything and we told him it was our anniversary. When it was time for dessert he surprised us by bringing an extra plate that he had written “Happy Anniversary” on with a piece of cake and 2 lit candles. He went absolutely above and beyond and we couldn’t have asked for better service.
If you’re looking for a chill environment with excellent food with a French Fine Dining Experience this is the place to go. We celebrated my Mother in law’s birthday here and had the four course meal. The cheese fondue was deliciously cheesy with a basil/garlic undertone that added to a savory complexity in flavor with the fruit. For dinner we chose the bourgnion which was delicious. Dessert hands down- the flaming turtle fondue - amazing! Great food for special occasions!
We love the Melting Pot always, but tonight was an even better experience. Shao was an AMAZING server, she was very thorough, so sweet, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience tonight. I will definitely ask for her every time we come back, she is by far the best server we’ve ever had!!
I went here for my anniversary and it was delicious!! The cheese and chocolate courses are must haves when you come here! Everything is cooked in front of you and explained if you’re new to the melting pot. The store is very nice and clean looking. Also, the service is very friendly and welcoming. (We even got a something special for our anniversary!) All in all, it is a fantastic place to eat for a special occasion!
My husband and I had our date night here and it was absolutely amazing! Our waitress Kate was literally the best! She really made it a fine dining experience and the food was absolutely delicious! I would give more stars if I could!
We had a lovely meal at the Melting Pot Maple Shade location. As first timers our server Jill did an amazing job recommending crowd pleasers from the menu and even made suggestions for our next visit! She was attentive to our table the whole night, rare these days it seems. I’ll The food was excellent, we loved the variety and the meat was all high quality. Definitely worth the 40 min drive for our family!
I just want to do a big shoutout to Kaylee! She was so very helpful, nice and knowledgeable! My Daughter wanted to come here to celebrate her and her brother’s birthday! She definitely made the right choice! We drive 50 mins and it was worth it! The food was delicious, the service was top notch! I highly recommend and will definitely return! Thank you Kaylee!
The customer service was exceptional. We had a private booth area toward the back that was large enough to set everything needed for each course but small enough to feel intimate and cozy.
Food was great and our service was awesome. Had a wonderful time for dinner. The old fashion was really good although not smoked, my wife's love martini was delicious, and the food was beyond great!
I really loved the atmosphere. The service was amazing! Excellent customer service 👏🏽. The whole experience was very fun for me with cooking my own food. I would definitely go again!!
First time at this location, but everything was perfect from the ground up. Celebrating my partners birthday and her first fondue experience. We did the Big Night out...which starts with a Cheese Fondue with bread/fruit/veg pieces (we got Wisconsin Cheddar), then a salad (she got Caesar and I had the Wedge), then the meats/vegs in cooking pot (we did Coq Au Vin with the preselected Big Night Out menu), and then Chocolate (Flaming Turtle was out pick). Everything was delicious 🤤 would go again.
Pricey but mostly worth it. The cheese and chocolate were great for me and my friend to share. You will leave more full than you think! Staff was very attentive and helpful. Good for a fancy night out.
My fiancé and I came here for our dating anniversary the other night and it was sooo incredibly lovely and delicious! Our server, Nick, was so awesome, he gave lots of recommendations, was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and walked us through every course. We had a private area with roses on the table to celebrate, it was so sweet and secluded. The food was amazing, even though we couldn’t finish some of it because our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs lol. Thank you again Nick, you’ll forever be present in a core memory of ours- our 3rd anniversary AND our first Melting Pot experience:)
We having been coming to the Melting Pot frequently for some time. Pat our server was amazing as we have had him twice. He was so personable and even dressed as Deadpool for Halloween. The atmosphere at the Melting Pot is great for families or a date night. Anthony and the service team are alway incredible and the food is consistently perfect. We love coming to the Melting Pot and will be coming back soon.
Last night myself and 3 others had Tone as our server. I honestly don’t think we would have had as great of a time if we didn’t have such an awesome server. You could tell how much he genuinely loved his job and interacting with his guests. Food was great. Our table had even asked to move to a 2 top burner with absolutely zero issues after we were already seated. The only negative of the entire experience was an appetizer that came out cold. They quickly brought us out a new one and everything wound up being fantastic.
Took my 7yr old and his friend out. Angel was amazingly patient and kind while dealing with two rambunctious kids. He made their fondue experience amazing and memorable. Food was great, service was even better!
Came for a birthday dinner. Ambiance was intimate and had great music. Our server Aidan provided 5 star service, attentive, and personable. Had a great experience. Can’t wait to return and see Aidan again
I was just there 10/24 For my kid’s birthday celebration. I really had great service from everyone, I will be back for could also. I don’t remember names of servers, but they were home welcoming and determined for us to enjoy our time. Who was good as well!
Took my girlfriend here for the first time tonight, had a great experience. Tori served us like close friends and the food was fun and delicious.
Food was so tasty!! The whole experience was wonderful as well. We cannot recommend Ton enough as a waiter! So attentive and kind! Coming back for the food and for Ton! ❤️❤️❤️
First time being here. Food was good and was a nice experience. Also wanted to shout out the manager and server next to us. They dealt with a "karen" very well.
Tone was the best! He was so kind and hospitable! Definitely recommend coming here for a tasty meal and ask for Tone as your server! You won’t be disappointed.
We've been to this location plenty of times but this time we wanted to leave a review because our server Tone was fantastic! Not only was the food great but Tone was both professional and personable! We were there for a late Valentine's Day date. My husband made the reservation with the special occasion flower petals on our table, the hostess made sure we had a relatively private area however, I guess there was some drama at the table across from us. Tone made it so we weren't even aware of what was happening and made sure our experience wasn't ruined by all the commotion. He was so polite and funny throughout the entire dining experience. We'll definitely continue to be returning customers!
Aidan has exceptional customer service, it felt like we were being waited on by a friend. For a busy holiday like Valentine's day, he made the dinner that much better with his easy going personality and personable conversation. The food was delicious, even for it being a fixed menu. First time here was 10/10.
We had an amazing experience at The Melting Pot on January 10th! Our server, Tori, was absolutely wonderful!!! So friendly, fun, and attentive. She made the night extra special. The food was incredible as well. Highly recommend! Also, Tori if you see this, Petunia sends her love and thanks!🐷💜
Lovely evening… Tony / Anthony the manager stopped at every table which was nice. You can tell he definitely cares about the customer. The wait staff was on the younger side but all very professional and clearly are well vetted before they are offered job. I like that they say “we and us” making you feel like they are with you for the experience. All in all a good evening and money well spent…
This was our first time trying a Melting Pot!! The food was so delicious!! Such a fun and new experience!! Sierra was our server and master cocktail maker!! She gave us wonderful food and drink recommendations! She makes a fantastic White Russian drink! Definitely would recommend experiencing the 4 course meal to try out everything there is to offer!
The food is delicious. The waitstaff top notch. The restaurant was also very clean. We had a fantastic time trying their 4 course meal!
Me and my wife have been there multiple times. We love it here, its very tasty and the staff is very friendly. It gets busy so I recommend you have reservations.
A divine restaurant for a fun occasion out. We ordered the four course menu and every part of it was delicious and fresh. The only course that wasn’t as impressive was the entree, as cooking your own food takes a bit of time, becoming tedious, and the meats/vegetables lacked flavor. Overall, however, would recommend.
Went here for my friends birthday and it was a unique experience indeed. We got the full course dinner plan which started with cheese fondue assembled by the waitress in front of us. The cheese came with veggies and bread to dip with. We also got our choose of a salad to start things off. Next were our entrees which were a variety bite sized pieces of meats which you can select from. For example, herb chicken, teriyaki steak, etc. I was expecting the pieces to be a bit bigger so keep this in mind. We opted to grill our meat at the table which turned out to be a little less fun than we anticipated because of the cooking time. Another factor to keep in mind. The meat also came with a plate of veggies which was a nice touch. I just wished there were more given to us. The meat/veggies came with a variety of dipping sauces to try. The last part of our meal was chocolate fondue with a variety of fruit and little cakes to dip inside. This was definitely my favorite part! The chocolate was rich and good quality. Overall, this is not the type of place I would go to on a regular but had a pleasant experience. Our waitress definitely made our visit go from potentially mediocre to very pleasant. She was super friendly and held conversations with us as she prepared our cheese smd throughout the rest of our visit. She was also very patient in explaining the different options to us as we were a bit clueless with it being our first time there! Unfortunately I don't remember her name but I know she has a wedding coming up next year and we wish her happiness in her future! A nice touch as well is that the staff brought out a cute little plate with "Happy Birthday" written out in chocolate and a little cake piece with a candle inside it. Our waitress also sung Happy Birthday with us which was a delight! Last thing to note is while this is definitely not the most expensive place, be prepared to spend some money! The experience is about $50 per person and that excludes the drinks. Overall, pleasant experience that was taken to the next level thanks to our awesome waitress!
This was a great experience. Not only was the good delicious but the fondue was amazing. We were able to select from many options what meal we would prefer. Seeing the cheese and broths prepared in front of you was great. So many delectable choices for both the cheese and chocolate fondue. It was interactive and fun. They gave steaks and fresh salads too. Check out the menu. Awesome date night or getting together with friends.
We arrived there about 20 minutes before our reservation of 5:15pm. The waiter we had was training a new girl. The serve was slow this time around which was surprising, since they weren't busy customer wise. When was asked for extra things, like soda or extra food, it took a great amount of time to get those things . Even when they took out credit card for payment, seemed like forever .
Went here for my birthday. We had the Wisconsin cheddar fondue pot. It was really salty and garlicky there was not a good ratio of flavors. I could not taste the cheese at all the second course was the salad. I had the California which was excellent the rest of our party had Caesar salad. They complained that the salad was wilted and had a strange taste. The third course we had the steak lovers and the cast iron grill. It took a long time to cook all our beef cubes on this skillet. Some of the seasonings were over powering and spicy. The teriyaki was the tastiest. Last was the dessert. We had the Yin & Yang this by far was the best course it was perfect on all the dippers served I was sad I couldn't take the left over home. If not anything else I highly suggest the dessert fondue. The desert was definitely a 5 ⭐. Overall we paid a lot of money to cook our own food and it took over 3 hours to get out of there which felt like forever.
Nice environment and nice to go for a date night. For the food you get I felt the price way out of the ball park. It’s fun to cook your own meal and the fondu is good but not worth the value. Would not go again but fun to experience. Staff was great and plenty of parking. When we arrived many open tables but still waited for be seated for over 10 minutes.
I’ve been here on two occasions in the last month and a half. Both were happy hour. When I got to the restaurant, I was told I must’ve at the bar to receive the special. The first time I was with my 82-year-old mother who couldn’t sit at the bar after some back-and-forth with the manager she let us sit at the table. After that, I complained to corporate and was told I was correct. It was the bar area and that they apologized. On my second trip, the same thing happened, but then it worked out after they talked to the GM. However, I complained I had to go through it once more. What was their answer to the problem? They ended happy hour at that location. Instead of training, their staff to be more appropriate in customer service they just cancel happy hour. Seems like a sad way to handle business there. Not sure if I’ll go back.
We were incredibly disappointed after visiting. I will be adding photos for reference to things I will bring up as well. The service is lacking. It seems great until you get your appetiser, then you rarely see your waiter/waitress again. It was a chore to just get my water refilled. The “stove” in the middle of the table does not heat the fondue well. Both our appetiser and dessert were cold in the center and hot on the edges. Also, I’m sorry, but for the three of us, we paid over 200 dollars, and the fact that we had to sit there and cook our own food made me incredibly upset. Our potion sizes were also terribly small. The side dish, if you even want to call it that, was the smallest portion of veggies I have ever seen. Keep in mind (photo attached) this is what we were given for 3 people, not 1 for each. All three of us. Just meat and these little veggies. If you don’t order an appetiser or off their extra cost menu, you will leave still very hungry. The sauces are lacking as well. And cold. For the price, service, and portions, we will not be coming back.
We had a really disappointing experience at this location, both in terms of service and with regard to allergy awareness. We came on a Wednesday night for my birthday, with a reservation. The restaurant was nearly empty. I noted on the reservation and confirmed upon arrival that a member of our party had celiac disease and we'd need everything on the table to be gluten free. After 10 minutes of sitting with no interaction with a waiter, my husband went back up to the hostess to politely follow up. After several more minutes, a waiter finally arrived. I told him, very clearly, that I had an allergy and the entire table would be eating gluten free. 45 minutes after we arrived, we finally got our cheese course. I asked our waiter to confirm that the dippers tray was the gluten free one, and he apologized and said no. They had brought regular bread on the tray. It took several more minutes to get the gluten free tray. While the GF bread was good, some of the vegetables had seen better days. We got our salads soon after, which were correctly gluten free. At this point, a manager did come out to apologize about the cheese dippers mix up and she assured me that the rest of the meal would be gluten free as requested. We finally got our meat course well over an hour into our visit. As our waiter was explaining all the sauces he brought us, he noted that one of them was not gluten free. This was despite having said so many times already that the entire table should be gluten free AND the manager's assurance prior that everything would be checked. Clearly that did not happen. I will say that at least the dessert course came out entirely gluten free and was tasty. All in all, we spent 2.5 hours there. The delay in initial service and then the delays in getting the right components and clean up between courses, was inexcusable. I don't expect the Melting Pot experience to be quick, but I don't expect to spend 2.5 hours there either. Between the excruciatingly slow service and the failure to properly follow their own allergy protocols, we will not be back.
We came on a Wed night. The restaurant was empty yet we sat there for 15 minutes before we even saw our waiter. The service was incredibly slow. The food was not even mediocre. We spent $500 for 5 people plus a child who ate French fries. Looking at the breakdown of our bill, $42 for the special occasion flowers pictured ($14 for the petals and $28 for 6 roses). $5 for one soda. For $500 we sat there for almost 3 hours and the food was not great. It was barely good. I could have had a better meal for half that.
Where are the zero-star reviews when you need them? My family and I decided to try this place for the first time—and it will definitely be the last. As we were just settling in, I noticed a German roach crawling along the shelf right above my head. At first, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt—maybe it was an isolated situation, possibly brought in by a previous guest. But that hope quickly faded. The waiter and manager happened to be walking by at the time—one knocked the roach down, and the other stomped it out. No real apology, just a quick table move… where we were then met with a thick layer of dust on the seats and gnats flying around. At that point, we were done. We got up and decided to leave. Eventually, the manager came over to apologize, but what he said made things even worse: "This only happens about once a month." 🙄 Excuse me? That’s not a fluke. That’s an infestation, and something clearly needs to be done. To be fair, our server was kind and tried to make my birthday special. He brought balloons, flowers, and drinks, and for that effort, we left him a tip. But no amount of hospitality can make up for the fact that we didn’t feel safe or clean enough to eat there. I’ve since heard that a location in another town was shut down—and now I can’t help but wonder if it was for the same reasons. Bottom line: this place needs serious pest control and a full health inspection—immediately.
Making reservations is pointless; the wait is enormous and they don't respect that. I waited for over 40 minutes and after I got to the table, nobody attended to us. We waited for over 20 minutes to place our order.
Been here a few times, each time the same issues arise with this place. Purely, it's a gimmick so I can't fault it for playing into what it is, but I digress; the issues with this place stem purely from the illusion of getting what you pay for. Both times I have went recently, once for 65$ per person, then on valentines day at an egregious 90$ per person with a set menu mind you which I was not informed of upon making my reservation; I went with 1 other person. Each time, paying the charge for both of us to enjoy seperate meals, we were served the exact same portions as if we were dining alone (we have tested this). Our first server a year ago was kind enough to provide extra fries/2 extra bits of stale cake to dip at no extra charge. However, every other server has made it clear the inconvenience/favor they would be laboring for us to give us any minor extra pieces of, once again for the most part, stale pieces of bread or cake to dip. So you WILL be paying at minimum double the price for the experience of 1 person should you choose to go with a partner, for mostly stale items. Aside from this, the staff we have had experience with save for our first outing are unfamiliar with the apparatus installed in their niche restaurant. Being told 10 minutes for this item. 15 minutes for this item, and even with a timer being set our food was burnt all the way through despite battering and double battering and the adjusting of the heating element. They've honestly fooled me more than once so I guess the shame is on me, the ambiance is great if you can get past the carnival side show level of penny pinching by this "upscale" "dining" "experience". I'll just dip dollar store Pretzels in melted Herseys chocolate in my bedroom at home for a better experience
