I've been a fan of Summer Moon for a few years and FINALLY made it a point to right a review. I stopped by today hoping that the Gingerbread flavor was back, but they had an Autumn flavor so I got that with my matcha moon. OMG!!! I don't know if those 2 flavors are the same with a new name, but they taste similar and was just what I needed today!!!! It is my favorite way to order my matcha. I am always sad when y'all remove Gingerbread syrup from the menu because I could drink my combo ALL YEAR! Thank you for your friendly service as well.

HOLY COW , I have never, ever, written a review on a coffee shop they all used to seek the same to me, but when I tell you that this place is good it is GOOD. I went in the coffee shop for a meeting, the environment was so peaceful and not awkwardly quiet or anything just right. So as I left and got in my car I decided to go through the drive through. When I got to the little speaker box to order I just simply told one of the baristas that I had never been here , what’s a good iced coffee that’s not too sweet , they were kind and friendly and recommended me the winter moon latte (1/4 of the sweet stuff in it) and I got a lemon blueberry pound cake with it . I was greeted with a smile at the window, the price was fair (much better than Starbucks price wise). The packaging was nice and my mind was blown after the first sip, I swear I had never had coffee this good, and I thought it couldn’t get any better , but then I opened up the little box and found a WARM pound cake. Every bite was captivating , beautiful soft and almost crunchy texture. Just incredible . Please come here. I will be back .

Summer Moon is our go-to coffee shop whenever we visit our son in McKinney! The coffee is always fresh and bold, and their signature Summer Moon blend is truly unique—I usually stick with a quarter moon, and it’s perfect every time. I recently tried their fall blend and wow… hands down the best seasonal coffee I’ve ever had! We love how easy it is to order ahead and pick up through the drive-thru. The pastries are also consistently delicious, making this the perfect stop for a treat and great coffee. Highly recommend!

A cozy and warm place that serves really good coffee. Must try are the quarter summer and winter moon lattes. The coffee beans are locally roasted in Austin and they really tastes good for home espresso. My go to place for buying new roasted beans (must try blue blaze & velvet blaze)

Cute little coffee shop in McKinney. It is a great alternative to Starbucks. The store is quiet and comfortable. The staff is friendly and informative. I was here for a couple hours for a meeting. The coffee is better than Starbucks but not as good as those hipster, artisan coffee shops. Still though. It’s a good spot.

Yum, yum, slurp yum! Fire roasted coffee... gives it a very nice flavor. Espresso milkshake is the bomb!! Cut back on the moon milk for a less sweet option. 👍🏻😋😋😋

Nice drinks variety and good variation of coffee drinks. Service is good and staff seem customer friendly. Inside setup is nice except the uncomfortable chairs. I visit lot of coffee places especially in this area, I felt this place has the most uncomfortable chairs and seating options. Otherwise nice modern look for the coffee bar area etc.

A small, cozy cafe. It had Christmas vibes the day I walked in. The faux fireplace gives the space a rustic touch. It does allow you to set up your laptop and work, something I always look for in a cafe. The lattes are good and they have their own line of coffees and merchandise

It is crammed into the corner of a parking lot, next to a dollar general. I’ll go if I’m in the area and need a coffee, but I won’t go out of my way.

What I like about Summer Moon, is it’s a cute cozy little place really close to my daughter’s sewing lesson. I can come and sit by the faux fire place and read. I also really enjoyed my Chai. My critique about Summer Moon is the baristas are too preoccupied with each other (loudly joking and laughing, playing around or just standing around) while there are crumbs all over the floor and the entrance rug is begging for quick run with a vacuum. There’s also no music even lightly playing in the cafe to pad the sound behind the counter. These things just really take away from the atmosphere that you’d hope to have in such a cute cozy setting. So I say, this cafe is just ok.

I told the barista it was cold and she said “probably because you got here late.” They poured me a new one, which was also the same temp and I told them it was still just barely warm, which they had the nerve to say “it’s because you got half and half”. I said absolutely not. I make myself coffee with half and half every day at home and it’s not barely warm. I then asked if they could make me an iced vanilla cold brew since their drip coffee was clearly probably from the day before, and they made me an iced cold brew without vanilla. How do they get it wrong 3 times and blame it on the customer? Terrible service.

Not happy with their bakery options. I was looking for plain or whole grain bagel with cream cheese, instead they had one with meat stuffed inside it. Would be nice to have more options for vegeterians (no eggs or meat)

I went to the Mckinney location tonight and the lady with dark hair in drive-thru has terrible customer service. She was very dry and you could tell she did not want to be at work. We had exact change for our order, however, she stated that she couldn't take cash in the drive-thru and I would need to come inside if I was paying cash. Extremely disappointed with our experience at the Summer Moon in McKinney. We drove all the way there after checking Google, which clearly stated they close at 6pm on Sundays. We arrived at 5:10pm, only to be turned away. The door also states Sundays are open until 6pm, yet the employee completely ignored us at the entrance. We even drove around to the drive-thru, just to be told they were closed because of the Super Bowl. If your hours change, that should be clearly updated online and on the door!!!! To make things worse, the employee was very arrogant and sarcastic when we questioned why they were closed before the posted time. The attitude was unnecessary and unprofessional. This was a complete waste of time and gas. Ridiculous experience, and honestly makes me feel like never going back again.
