Awesome place. Some friends and I wanted to have one last dinner before leaving Italy but every restaurant had closed the kitchen by 22:00. We came here as a last resort and without any hope of finding somewhere to eat a good pizza. However, we were pleasantly surprised. There was only one staff member, but the service was excellent. Fresh and high quality food. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who's willing to taste a great pizza while listening to the relaxing sound of the lake.

Excellent venue, wonderful staff and I don't understand why everyone complains about the price of the bathroom (only for non-consumers, rightly so and no one complains more about this) that anyway it is written everywhere that you have to pay for it if you don't consume it.

Good place to grab a coffee before you board the ferry, they do takeaway and have a clean restroom though it’s for customers only. If you don’t want to buy anything they charge €0.50 to use the toilet.

Quando sono zona Menaggio per lavoro è una buona alternativa per mangiare pranzo. Ragazze gentili, simpatiche, servizio un po' a singhiozzo ma tutto sommato per un Pranzo di lavoro si mangia bene. Ambiente particolare , carino, se si arriva sul presto si può usufruire del parcheggio esterno.

A mixed bag – nice spot, great owner, but watch out at night. Il Tanamana is in a great location right by the ferry port in Menaggio, and at first glance, it really does seem like the perfect spot to unwind. The drinks were strong (maybe too strong 😂), the vibe during the day was relaxed, and the owner was genuinely lovely — warm, welcoming, and even stepped in to kick out a drunk local who started harassing me. Massive respect for that. Unfortunately, the problems started when the sun went down. On two separate nights, I had issues with different locals — both clearly intoxicated and both aggressive. One guy was giving me grief unprovoked, and the next night I was being called slurs in Italian and getting flipped off by a stranger… on my 10-year anniversary with my partner, no less. Really classy stuff. Honestly, he was lucky I chose not to react. To be clear: this isn’t the bar’s fault. The owner handled things as best he could. But tourists should be aware — after dark, some of the local drinkers in this area seem to have a real issue with outsiders. It’s disappointing, especially in such a beautiful town. Prices were on the higher side, but so is everything in Menaggio — it’s a tourist hotspot, so that’s expected. Just know what you’re getting into if you stop by in the evening: decent drinks, good staff… but sadly, a risk of unpleasant encounters.

La notte per i "temerari", il giorno per i "ricchi". Scrivo questa recensione con rammarico a seguito di anni di frequentazioni serali; la notte il locale offre servizi per i post serata e serata (I love Karaoke e piade notturne) a tutti gli avventurieri del posto e non, però ahimè pagare una piadina tonno e mayo per un pranzo un giovedì di giungno 9€ fa perdere credibilità! Okay lucrare sul turismo ma forse stiamo esagerando, il Tana é comuqnue il Tana. Bye bye amici

Gli do due stelle perché il barista era più che ok ma il posto è tremendamente mal frequentato, se volete farvi una bevuta con minorenni che schiamazzano e sboccano, andate li.

Annoying music, servers seemed like they didnt want us there. Only good thing was the espresso and Limoncello spritz. Never again. Never menaggio again either. Too touristic and expensive.

Restroom toliet seat missing even though they charge use to use it, food is mid but they have no incentive to be good- its the only place by the ferry

We got a last minute takeaway coffee on our way to the ferry. The service was fine but not particularly friendly. The coffee was unfortunately the worst we had on our trip (not sure if they actually forgot to put the espresso in our cappuccinos). To make it worse it was probably the most expensive coffee was had at €3.50 each. High prices and poor quality just because it's close to the ferry terminal. Can't speak to the food but certainly would not reccommend getting coffee here.

Devo dare una stella perché avrei voluto dare 0. Incivili, sgarbati, maleducati e avvoltoi sulle consumazioni. Da ignorare. Ti fanno pagare per usare la toilette.

Due spritz senza accompagmamento di stuzzichini e un pessimo toast al formaggio al banco 26 euro senza rilasciare lo scontrino fiscale. Inoltre la cameriera bionda era in videochiamata mentre era al banco. Il posto è da evitare in assoluto. Questo locale lo conosco da trent'anni. Era sempre in ordine e negli ultimi anni è peggiorato tantissimo.

Il cibo e il servizio dei camerieri erano pessimi. Andare in bagno era una fregatura e, per di più, mentono sui prezzi per spremere qualche euro in più. Una truffa per turisti.

Personale SCORTESE e prezzi elevati. Dopo aver chiesto lo scontrino la titolare ha avuto da ridire, dandomi del bambino e invitandomi ad andare via perché per lei inutile darlo. Stesso comportamento inadeguato quando ci ha “non accolto”. Mai più

Siete cari per lo standard della zona, ciò che avete servito, caffè e orzo quasi imbevibili e per finire personale sgarbatissimo! Dovreste cambiare lavoro!!!

Siamo state ieri pomeriggio in questo locale intanto che aspettavamo il battello,per prendere due caffè. Quando siamo uscite dal locale sono andata a vedere le recensioni e ho avuto la conferma delle mie impressioni. Cortesia e educazione delle due ragazze inesistenti…mentre consumavamo i caffè al banco,sopra la nostra testa si sono messe a scaricare casse d’acqua da un soppalco (col rischio che ci cadesse una cassa in testa). Il bagno a pagamento 2 euro!!! Per un bagno indecente stesso bagno x uomini e donne e non pulito senza sapone per le mani e sporco. Mia madre fa una domanda a una delle ragazze e le viene risposto se non è capace di leggere i cartelli…quando mia mamma fa notare la scortesia nel risponderle le viene risposto che sono stufe di rispondere sempre alle stesse domande 🤦🏼‍♀️. Prezzi folli per due caffè 5 euro!!! E in ultimo ma ancora più indignoso il mancato rispetto nei confronti di una persona disabile entrata nel locale!!! E ho detto tutto…una delle ragazze portava una maglietta con scritto” ho bisogno di soldi per la macchina” occhio che i 2 euro del bagno le servono per questo…😅🤣🤣😤😤😤 comunque mai più in questo locale lo sconsiglio vivamente!

Bagno incivile e 2 euro per l'utilizzo. Una lattina di Coca da asporto 3.5 euro e tutto rigorosamente senza scontrino fiscale. Che vergogna.

Pagato una piccola bottiglie di Shwepps 3.50€. Locale non accogliente e ti fanno pure pagare il bagno 1€, anche se un cliente. Allucinante!

My husband and I decided to have a g & t each whilst waiting for the ferry. When my husband went inside to pay, the waitress insisted we'd had a total of 4 g & t's (they were definitely not doubles). When my husband said he would only be paying for 2, the waitress went mad, shouting at my husband but he refused to pay for something we didn't have. Eventually she told him not to pay but to leave and never come back. Very strange.

We could have just bought pizza from the supermarket and it would still taste better. Unbelievable. Everything was terrible, the food, the sanitation, the music. Worst restaurant I ever visited.

Worst restaurant I was ever in. No exaggeration. The pizza and lasagna tastes like out of the freezer. The glasses were unclean, the service terrible. Not worth any amount of money.

Only stopped here because we needed something quick while waiting for the ferry. Ended up with the worst salad and pizza we’ve ever had — no exaggeration. Service was just as bad. Two Russian waitresses shouting at each other the whole time, clearly annoyed we were even there. No help, no welcome, nothing.
