The best bahn mi and boba in town. I was out of Merced for 3 months and donut Kings was one of my first stops - that's how much I missed their food! -------- 5 years later, and I still maintain that they have the best bahn mis.

Extremely warm and friendly staff! Their Bubble tea selection is huge and fantastic, their Asian style sandwiches are awesome. Not really anything negative I can think of. I wish they had a location in Sonora!

Very clean store, very good prices, the Boba drinks are by far the best in Merced. I'm from the bay area where Boba is very very common. Donut King has better quality Boba than any of the stores from the bay. Their sandwiches are great, donuts are nice, everything's made daily (so it's extra fresh) and I have never had a problem here. Great spot for breakfast, lunch, and even dinner if you get to order a sandwich or two before they close (they close relatively early but it's never been a problem).

The donuts and the sandwiches are delicious, drinks are good too. If you want a power pick-me-up coffee try their Asian coffee, when I need to clean house and mow lawn, it is my go to drink!!

I come here for the Banh Mi sandwiches they are perfect here and if you have never had one do yourself a favor and get one. My personal favorite filling is the grilled pork patty (Nem Nuong)

When I have to travel early to train station. This is my go to place. And will stop and get hot fresh doughnuts and coffee.. This place opens early and the people are very polite. The place always is very clean and inviting. Good not great coffee. But doughnuts are so soft and tasty.

This is my goto place when I travel. Always looking for places that open very early. And have tasty goodies. They have great variety and the best doughnuts. Lots to choose from. The stuffed crosant are so yummy and flaky. Love the ham and cheese one. Doughnuts are very fresh and tasty. They also have other foods to choose from. Cashier is always friendly and eager to please

Best Boba slush and Bánh mì... period. You just shouldn't go elsewhere in Merced. Their Taro slush (no boba) is the best in town, hands down. Avacado shake? YES! The pork Bánh mì is also the best in town. They have an awesome coffee roaster; but I have yet to try their espresso. (I'm from SoCal... and lived near Garden Grove for a long time, and commuted through daily. I've had my fill of Lee's... and know that Saigon's Bakery on Brookhurst is the best...but... you'll have a hard time finding better than Donut Kings, even if it is Little Saigon).

Donuts are amazing and fresh daily. Customer service is great. Love the Asian coffee and tri-tip sandwich. Croissant breakfast sandwich is also good.

I loved this place when I lived in Merced a year ago and it seems to have somehow gotten EVEN better. Good boba, GREAT SANDWICHES, sweet doughnuts. They also have a nice little cold drink selection spanning three convenience store ice box lengths and coffee available at open every morning.

I would return for the donut itself. The sandwiches are always delicious. I get the bbq pork sandwich. It is also spicy. The bread is always a good crunch to bite into and not hard at all. I tried their vanilla chai with boba today, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's really yummy, and I would have it again. I can definitely taste both flavors. Customer service is always great. They are super helpful and nice. Other drinks I don't care for like their honeydew blended drink with boba. The atmosphere is okay. I usually just pop in to grab my food to go :)

The donuts were soft and fluffy and the kind owner gave me an extra one! I also got a honeydew smoothie that was very sweet and rich in flavor.

I know that they are a donut shop, but DO NOT sleep on their banh mi, specifically the num nuong. Once you tried that, you would be here every week. I recommend it with everything on for the bahn mi. It's a little bit spicy, but not bad. Their donuts are not bad, but I come here specifically for the sandwiches. Super fresh, tasty, healthy and better than subway. Best of all, the bread is nice and toasted, so you'll get a crunch every time you bite your sandwich. Very authentic asian place with authentic flavors. Make sure to bring cash or extra small charge for credit card

Great bahn mi! I usually get the mixed lunch meat one but the lemongrass chicken is also great but pretty salty. Bread is always perfectly toasty. Probably the best rolls in town. Generous with the toppings, always full after one of these

They bake their own sandwich bread and the tofu is incredibly flavorful. They dont skimp on the veggies and cilantro either. The donuts are also melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The price point is excellent. Service is friendly and its run by a local family. Only 2 tables to eat at so I usually carry out. I love Donut King and its the first place I stop whenever I come back to visit.

I haven't tried the donuts but they smell very good and are in demand. I love the bahn mi (Vietnamise sandwich). They are all good but my favorite is the Lemon Grass Chicken with everything. The French bread is flaky and crispy on the crust but soft and lovely inside. I love all of the veggies and the dressing on them (I can taste a hint of nuac mam). But of course, the chicken is perfect. I chase down any bits that fall out of the sandwich. The size is perfect too. I always feel like I want another sandwich but also that I'm perfectly satisfied. The only reason I took a star off from the atmosphere is that this is a donut shop on a busy street. I love it and the people running the restaurant. Highlight of my day when I'm in Merced.

The lady at the register is so nice and welcoming as well. Prices are good too in my opinion so if this place ever shut down I’ll cry and start a protest just because I love it that much. Amazing honeydew flavored tea! Also the lemon grass chicken sandwich is to die for. Hidden gem for sure in the area and the donuts are always fresh for sure. Don’t sleep on this place guys !

I looooveeeeee this place!! The owner and employees are always so kind. Their bobas are to die for! Best place in town! I always get their coconut taro Boba. Not a fan of the sandwiches but that's because I don't care for them. They have amazing donut selections and mouthwatering cronies! Their doughnuts are good but the service can be poor. I was taking my time on choosing the doughnuts because I was selecting some for my child's classmates, and the lady asked me if she can help next person first. I already had one box selected... I told her no and that I wanted to finish my order. So she finished taking my order. The kids enjoyed the doughnuts. I've also had their sandwiches which are very tasty.

I had a passion fruit boba drink and a chicken lemon grass sandwich... I wanted a pastrami but they were all out.😞 Anyways my grandkids had coconut boba, well 1 did and the other had just the drink without the boba and maple bars. They enjoyed them. It's always a good time to share little get always.

Donuts were not fresh. Clearly they were at least a day old. The hot coco was an unusual taste too

This place was so so glazed bar we got was not cooked all the way and service was slow. But due to the lack of options in Merced...maytry again on my next visit. Dozen mix donuts were 17 bucks not too bad other donuts were okay.

A "quick here you go" and HAND given to me would have been nice. She said "here's your sandwhich" threw it on the counter and walked away to attend the ONE customer who had just walked in. Just rude, dont treat your customers like dogs, lady.

Great donuts, great food, service is decent. However, I noticed they charged me 7.xx for a sandwich, when on the menu it was labeled as 6.49. I won't dispute 50 cents, but I truly hope it was a mistake. I will change review next time I come in.

I was a happy customer until the owner wouldn't change my order which the mistake was hers I understood she was working alone that day but refused to make it right I feel replacing 2 sandwiches I asked if she could just replace the meat with only the loss of that She refused so I won't be taking by business her way anymore

She responded like this "no you have to cut it yourself!" I seriously thought that was very rude in her part I Will never go there again. They just lost a good client. Hopefully they can get there act together.
