Mi cocina Mérida Reviews
If you need a good dessert, this is the place. They have a wide variety of ready-to-eat options and also takeaways, and they're all delicious, but without a doubt, their Basque cakes are their specialty—probably the best in the city.
Excellent baker, everything she makes is delicious and super cute. I was recommended another one called Tere Caz...but I don't recommend it at all. Micuina is spectacular. I'm speaking as a cake lover; I've tried every cake there is in Mexico City, Morelos, Puebla, Tlaxcala, and everywhere else I go. Congratulations!
It has an AMAZING ring-shaped cake 👌 The flavor is very similar to the Spanish roscón, it's incredible!! We loved it
I went for the Basque cake, and thanks to the recommendations of the girls in the shop, I also got some cinnamon rolls; both were wonderful to share with the family. Great service and quality.
Everything was delicious, the Basque cake was spectacular, and you can tell they use top-quality ingredients, which is why their desserts are so delicious. The best in Mérida! 👏🏻
Everything they make is delicious, and the staff is very friendly and provides excellent service. Most of what they sell are delicious desserts to go.
I love Micuina! The quality of the desserts is totally worth it. My favorite is the Basque Cake.
I've tried the mostachón and the Basque cake, both delicious. I do think the desserts are a bit small and pricey, but honestly, the flavor totally makes up for it: they're worth it. In September, I had the chance to try the chismes en nogada, and what a treat! The nogada sauce was so rich you could eat it by the spoonful. It's definitely a place I'll keep coming back to.
They have delicious Bask cake. 👏👏 I am waiting for Pavlova.
We visited Mérida for a birthday celebration and ordered a mixed berry mostachón as the birthday cake for the celebration dinner. It was amazing! I wasn’t familiar with this type of cake before visiting Mérida but I loved it: fresh sweet berries, not too sweet cake, and a unique chewy crunchy texture that everyone enjoyed. Best of all, they were able to deliver and were easy to work with when we were planning. Highly recommended!
The best date pie and strawberry shortcake in all of Mérida! This time we got the carrot cake and it was delicious, sweet enough without being cloying, a perfect balance of ingredients. Marianita's service is unmatched; you can tell she loves what she does! Micuina doesn't sell desserts, it sells works of art for your taste buds! Highly recommended!
The Basque cake was delicious, but the overall service was lacking. They don't answer the phone.
I bought a slice of cake and paid $95.00. I thought it was very expensive. It tasted good, but I wouldn't buy it again because it was too expensive.
I really enjoy the red berry mostachón, however, I've been there several times and bought a whole mostachón, and you can tell from the texture that it's been sitting for several days. The base is already moist and not at all crispy, which is a shame since you're paying (not 5 pesos) for a fresh dessert. I suggest preparing the mostachón immediately after ordering, since leaving it with the frosting on top for several days only moistens the base and makes the whole dessert lose its meaning.
The desserts are delicious, but the customer service is terrible. I was very disappointed by the way the staff treated me. They were unnecessarily rude.
For the prices, I expected better quality. In September, I tried their chiles en nogada—nothing extraordinary—and I was shocked when I heard the price. For what they charge, I expected something much better, but it was nothing like that. Even so, I decided to give their desserts a try, and I'm grateful they gave me a slice of mostachón with rotten fruit (white mold), which confirmed my opinion about the disgusting place. 🙏🏻
