My first time at this location and everything was awesome. All the food I ate (salad, steamed carrots/green beans, chicken) was all good and fresh. I see some comments that people's food wasn't hot or whatever, maybe I came at the right time, idk, but no complaints here! Wait staff kept everything clean and kept up on our refills. Erika was on it! Deff coming back!

I recently visited golden corral with my daughter, who absolutely loves this place. While I don't frequent buffet-style restaurants often, I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and the well-maintained counters. The food could use a bit more seasoning, but it was still decent overall. A special highlight was when the waiter brought out birthday donuts for my daughter. She was thrilled, and seeing her happy made the visit worthwhile. Plus, she got her meal for free, which was a nice bonus!

They try to be accommodating as best they could. Customers need to realize it's a two way street. Golden Corral do their part, and customers need to do the same.

We like this place. It's clean. A lot less crowded. They serve delicious omelets for Sunday brunch. :) They have very friendly staff. The variety of food is sufficient. If you are a vegetarian, the best options here are the salad bars and breakfast bakeries. We had a good time here. :)

I haven't eaten at a Golden Corral in over 15ys but this food is awesome seasoned well and the dessert is very good like somebody Grandma is working in the back don't take my word come and see for yourself.

For what I was in the mood for, this was perfect. I mostly had a bunch of sides (the sweet potato casserole was excellent) and little bits of a wide variety of desserts. Being a buffet, of course I didn't love everything I tried, but I liked more than enough of them to leave full and very satisfied. Also, the lady that brought out my silverware and checked on me during the meal was friendly.

I have not ate at Golden Corral in over 10 years I must say the catfish was delicious along with the salad and sweet tea

Overall was good food, service was a little slow but it was also pretty busy in there. I haven’t been to this place in a very long time so was unaware that you seat yourself. They used to seat you so better communication on that would have been nice . Good experience though

This establishment has been in our area for years but we had not tried it for years. Seems like they had overpriced the value and always crowded. Recently I had some gallbladder pain from greasy food and was looking for healthier options, more vegetables and baked chicken. We loved the vegetables, salad, and variety Golden Corral offers. We have been back three times in 7 days, even getting plates to go. They weigh your trays and we spent about fifteen dollars for enough for the two of us. We found that if you go between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 you can get the early bird special senior discount at $8.99 a plate which includes your tea. Hell of a deal. I think the regular price is much higher but you still see buffets around anymore. We will probably continue to eat there because it is close and we know what it offers now. See you there. Update: we have been dining there regularly. Somedays dine in and others get our food to go. My Elderly Mother loves for us to bring her fresh food. Great location. Great staff.

The food was okay, We arrived early for lunch and it was not crowded but the food supply was surprisingly scarce, definitely not the buffet style I’m used, the restaurant was not as clean as it should’ve been I noticed dust on top of the paper towel dispenser and black droppings in the windowsill, these are the types of things you don’t want to see while eating, I haven’t been to this particular one in years & don’t believe I’ll be revisiting anytime in the near future unless I hear of a significance Of these changes.

G.C.has always been one of my favorite places to go with my family. You will eat good and will have a variety to choose from.We had good service this last time. What I didn't enjoy much was the long line in the sun ( we didnt fit inside)to enter. Even when we finally made it in,the area was super humid and hot. They really need to update their game and figure out another way of helping customers in. I gave only 3 stars to atmosphere because: floors were filthy, plates were randomly dirty,and bathrooms weren't too pleasant. 4 stars for food because steaks weren't served at the proffered cut( I asked medium rare and I got well done and chewy) Overall, 4 stars.

I guess this was to be expected. We went for Thanksgiving dinner. The turkey was dry, they had stuffing and not dressing. The kitchen staff could not keep up with the high volume of people so a lot of the side items was not replaced for over 45 minutes to an hour. I ate more of the regular menu items than I did the Thanksgiving Dinner items. Sweet Potato Pie, Pumpkin Pie, sweet potato souffle or the ham. The organization was completely horrible. My daughter stood in line for over 30 minutes trying to get her some turkey just to learn that she was in the lounge for the steak that is grilled in front of the customers. Whoever planned and organized the cook station should have separated the turkey and ham from the steak grill. That would have shorten the long wait in line that 95% of the customers experienced.

I went because I had a taste for an all you can eat with steak. The food was awesome, yummy, hit the spot good. The restroom needed help with just over the bin paper. Now keep in mind that this was after Church and very busy and crowded. I sat at the table and had to ask for my drink 🍸 now I will say I had my ticket 🎟 in my purse and on my shoulder so they couldn't have know that I wanted tea but I sat at the table for a while before asking for it. I never seen a customer clean her spot by sweeping the floor and then the table then having a seat and enjoy her meal although I will say I do understand on busy day that we have to have patients and help out our server's. This is the reason for the low star for service.

The place was not to bad, the cleanliness was maybe a 3 out of 5. The food was okay, first time trying the steak that was actually pretty good, was juice and a good 4 out of 5 for a buffet. The other buffet food was a good 3 out of 5, just because somethings lacked flavor. I recommend the fried shrimp, steak, chicken fajita i think it was also the jalapeños. I'd definitely go back because the service was great, it was much cleaner then other Golden Corral.

The food here is decent. There is a large variety of sides and main dishes. Lots of desserts. Unfortunately this trip was. Completely disappointing. We got fried fish but there were no tartar sauce and very little cocktail sauce. We asked for some from two of the staff and they said to look for it on the buffet cause it was there, and when we asked again cause it was not where they indicates, they informed us they did not have any. The restrooms are absolutely disgusting, the smell is horrible and they were not clean. We arrived just before lunch, so the RR shouldn't have been that bad. Again extremely disappointed in our visit

It's been many years since I have had food from Golden Corral. I was surprised to see 👀 them on doordash. I honestly thought all locations were closed. At the last minute before leaving town for the Christmas holiday 6 days before Christmas I elected to do a pick up order. I wanted family meal that wasn't chicken or fish. I hardly eat red meat but pot roast sounded like something I would enjoy. Keep in mind my order was picked up on the 19th of December and not eaten till the 25th. The pot roast was tender , the mashed potatoes had plenty of gravy and green beans seasoned okay. The small slice of carrot cake slice was very sweet not favorable . This was a meal for 4 people. I was expecting to pick up a medium container filled with pot roast, potatoes, carrots and celery. I also thought the mashed potatoes and green beans would be in individual containers. I was surprised to see they had dished the food on 4 takeout containers. I also received soft rolls and a free sugar cookies which I don't eat. I asked about the cookies before letting them pack them up. The best thing was having a meal I didn't have to cook. Somewhat of a language barrier as the staff didn't speak English well but I did receive my order.

I miss the guacamole, the assorted zucchini dish used to be more raw and not as salty, the fried pickles were awesome they will be missed. Over all it was decent in vegan options, the roasted mushrooms are by far my favorite

Its 2026, let us handle our own refills!!! Its ridiculous that we pay so much just to be thirsty for over half the visit. Our server tried their best but with all the tables they are expected to cover, our needs weren't as fulfilled as they could have been if we were allowed to just take care of them ourselves. Other than that, based off of past visits, quality of service and food has increased, still can't bake those heavenly rolls fast enough, but something never change. Ice cream machine was broken down along with and Icee machine i that I don't recall from past visits. The paths to success are many, but following the example of McDonald's won't help you here, fix those machines!

Recently remodeled and the only nice thing about it was the new paint and the added booth seating. Went for dinner on a Saturday night and food was ok. Some of the meats, like the turkey, were dry and un flavorful. Sides were good like always. Service was good despite being understaffed that night. Either there was no management on duty or the employees were not trained properly because there was a woman who was carrying a small dog near the food and that was gross. It was definitely not a service dog and for her to make it that far inside the restaurant is awful.

Food was delicious. Went on Christmas. Thankful they are open on this day. Line to get in wasn't too bad, but they were not as organized as other GC's I've been to on holidays. No one waited on our table, popular dishes were served in the smallest containers which caused long waits. A lot of the "clean" plates were still extremely dirty, music was loud and awful.

Got there 2pm on a Friday. Two kinds of meat, had taco shells and all the fixings. But no taco meat. I asked and she replied no taco meat today...ok.Very limited food choices. But 50 kinds of desserts. Food was decent. Restaurant needed ALOT OF upgrades, and scrubbing. Waitress, Ivonne was beyond first class.

I have enjoyedvGolden Corral for many years. I always would go for Veterans day while in the military and since retirement. My wife has never been here so I was excited to take her. The experience wasn't as fond as I had remembered. The glasses were dirty so we had to get the larger plastic ones which were $1 extra, the plates were wet, and it was a lot more expensive than it's ever been and they told me they didn't do military discounts. We ate at 11:30 AM (which is definitely lunch hours) but we were charged dinner prices which were an extra $5 per person because it was Sunday. I didn't like that at all. Like they are taking advantage of people that go to lunch after church and charging dinner prices for anything that isn't breakfast. The food was ok but everything up to that point was unsatisfactory. I dont know if it is just this location or if all Golden Corrals are like this now. All I know is that my wife didn't enjoy it and told me we dont have to ever go back and sadly I agree with her. This is one of my childhood memories that has been ruined now. Probably won't go for Veterans day anymore either.

One word comes to mind, disgusting. This is the little girl that was scooping food out of the buffet containers with her bare hands. The food I got before I saw her was bacon and eggs with what they called hash browns. It was all cold. The restaurant was trying to make an effort to be clean, however the one customer I saw lay his bare hand in the toast so he could maneuver the tongs to get some did it for me. It's overpriced and dirty.

We were excited there was a GC here but was HORRIBLY disappointed! Waitress was rude, didn't say much AT ALL, drinks were empty most of the time, even asked another waiter where she was and he couldn't find her, he got our drinks that instance, and was not good at clearing the table of dishes. The buffet line-most of everything was "being refilled" or was slim picking bottom of the pan, a kid in our party left still hungry due to no pizza on buffet except one pizza bout 25min after we been there and asked for them to make some but unfortunately, we didn't see them put it on the line so it was gone by time we saw a different kid carrying a plate of pizza. So, we sat right there and waited another 20 minutes for a pizza that was barely cooked all the way. I know it takes only 7 minutes to run a pizza through btw...by the time they put that one out there was 4 mor kids waiting for pizza...idky they only put out one at a time but there was 3 people back there by the ovens. We are from out of town, our GC closed years ago, paid $63 for 2 adults and a kid and it sucked hardcore. It was not too awfully crowded and there was plenty of workers standing around everywhere-they just were too busy chatting each other up but, atleast they weren't m.i.a. like our waitress!!

A Little disappointed in the Golden Coral compared to others. First was the price. $48 for two seniors at 4pm. Second, the selection is smaller than most Golden Corals. Third, it was not busy, so some of the food was not fresh. I got my favorite, a piece of fried chicken (last piece) that was too dry to eat (luckily they did put out some fresh while I was there). Forth the had a carving station, but only one little piece of meat, and no one there to carve it. Probably not going back to this one. But I do like the one in Tyler and I really like the one in Shreveport.

Didn’t have hardly half of the things on their menu available; no idea why. I checked the lunch menu online before we went and it seems they just didn’t care to prepare most of it. Half the food looked like it had been out for ages. Really disappointing; not how my husband and I remember Golden Corral at all. Insane to charge $15 a person and not have a full menu. The only positive is that the staff were kind.

I just paid for myself and two other family members and I was on my second plate and as I sat to eat I smelled a horrible odor of urine coming out off my plate. I moved to a different area and ask a family member to smell it and they agreed that it smelled like pee and I wanted to throw up . The staff laughed and said there was no smell and threw the plat away. I believe this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I can not believe that I ate pee and paid for it. This is unbelievable and I am furious with this restaurant. They even put a new batch of potatoes out when I walked away. Why do that if nothing was wrong. I’m sick to my stomach and can’t believe I was laughed at for something so disgusting that they allowed in this place. FYI the restrooms were full of pee on the floor and dirty . Dishes not clean, poor food selection of which most was not even under great lamps. The floor was excessively dirty and nobody was cleaning it at all. The fried items seem to be cooked in the same oil, giving them a universal flavor. Buffet was poorly maintained and it was difficult to get assistance with getting sliced meats. I would not recommend your choose this place for a good meal

Dirty dishes, dirty tables, breakfast and there were no pancakes or waffles. I asked a waitress and she rudely replied that they were only available on Saturdays and Sundays. Garland's surpasses it by far. I paid more than $50 for three adults, I do not recommend it.

Terrible service especially the cashier cause she froce one computer then she did not know how to operate the other cause I was trying to use my coupon and she was like it's not working my coupon was not expired and nothing was wrong with it and what was worse it was during my lunch break wich I was wasting my time dealing with this situation and im trying to call to but a complaint and no one is picking up

Food was disgusting. When golden coral first opened up they were really decent because they cared about themselves...now in 2025, No Bueno . My son was visiting from Oregon and he attempted 3 different times to get a med rare steak and just gave up. The only good thing about that meal was that we were together.

We drove 40mins to eat here. I should have asked for a refund but I just wanted to get out of there. Now I’m sitting in traffic writing this which just makes it worse!! If I could rate this location zero stars I would let’s get that clear first. The first update they need to make is a filter for the water! All of the drinks tasted horrible and it caused the salad to taste as if it was rinsed with the dirt pile in the back. The food was not fresh one bit which is concerning considering it’s a buffet where the food should be rotated out. On top of that there was a slim selection on the food that was edible. We consistently got strong smells of mold while sitting at our table and not one employee could understand what we were saying besides the cashier and even she only understood how many were wanting to eat. I’ve been to Golden Corral many times growing up and this was by far my worst experience and truly makes me never want to go back it’s sad to see these establishments going down hill like this.

When we enter the place it smell funky and when we where paying for the entry the lady at the counter was on her phone while we waited to pay. after we payed we went to grab food and what I noticed was that there were some fly on fruit and food the floor and wall where nasty the food was dry and when I got my fork the first thing a saw was food on my fork they did not clean the fork good and the plate had some food on them and I was surprised after all we payed 90$ for 1 kid and 1 grow up and 3 teens and then we left after 10 minutes and we could went to Popeyes but it was to late!! Horrible needs to close down hadn't been there in 2 years and it's terrible still employees standing around in groups talking buffet empty and what's there looking old the manager was at the register he wasn't very friendly at all our waitress was the only thing worth the visit she should go elsewhere 😢

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction regarding my recent experience at your Mesquite, Texas location on August 3, 2025, at approximately 2:05 PM. My friend, and I visited this restaurant after church, where we spent a total of $50.83. Unfortunately, this visit was marked by the worst dining experience I have ever encountered. Upon entering the establishment, I noticed that the food on the buffet was dried out and inedible. I could only consume a salad and some catfish during my first round. My friend, who is pregnant and classified as high-risk, attempted to find something suitable to eat but faced numerous issues. She selected meatloaf, catfish, and Brussels sprouts, all of which were improperly prepared and unappetizing. We requested to speak with the manager, who struggled to communicate in English, necessitating a translator. Despite explaining our concerns about the quality of the food, the manager attempted to convince us that it was fresh. I insisted that she inspect the food herself, but when I requested fried chicken, it was poorly cooked and also unappetizing. My friend was still hungry, tried again to find something edible and chose barbecue chicken, which she discovered was raw and bleeding. This prompted us to leave the table and decide to contact the health department. The state of the food served at your restaurant poses a serious health risk to your customers, and it is crucial that management is capable of effectively communicating in English to address such concerns. As a very unhappy customer, I regret to inform you that I will not be returning to this location. I urge you to take immediate action to address these issues, as the current state of your restaurant could potentially lead to serious health problems for unsuspecting patrons.

My First and Last Visit to Golden Corral Today, I had a very unpleasant experience at Golden Corral. It was my first time dining there, and unfortunately, it will be my last. My Godmother and I were simply spending some quality time together, and she chose Golden Corral for lunch. When we arrived, there was hardly anyone in line—just one person ahead of us. However, the gentleman at the front register who took our payment lacked any form of friendliness or basic people skills. He didn’t greet us or offer any hospitality, which set the tone for the rest of our visit. Once seated, we went to the buffet to select our food. I chose catfish, brisket, macaroni and cheese, and a few other items. Sadly, the only food that was hot and fresh was the catfish. Everything else tasted lukewarm and unappealing. After our meal, we went to the ladies’ restroom—and it was by far the worst part of our visit. The restroom was filthy, with visible feces smeared in multiple stalls. It was beyond unsanitary and truly shocking. I’ve never seen anything like it in a restaurant setting. This experience was not only disappointing but unacceptable. Cleanliness and hospitality are basic expectations when dining out, and this location failed to meet either. I hope Golden Corral takes feedback like this seriously because no customer should ever have to encounter what we did today.

Over the years the quality of customer service has go r down. There are so many waiters that are unconcern and rude . They need to hire a diverse group of staff. Several workers are unprofessional and when they have an altercation with a customer they gang up and speak in Spanish. They were just talking in English. That is so rude!!!!!! One of the workers accused a family member of not paying for meals. Which was a false allegation. Some of the workers just begun working here. When these customers have been coming to this particular place for more than 15 years. The customer service has plummeted. I have never been a fan of Golden Corral! Food is not of my liking. I go for the fellowship only and enjoying time with family. Food is overcooked!!!!!!!!! Steaks are burnt!!!!!! There is one worker name Ericka who is extremely rude to African American customers. EVERYONE should be treated Equal/Fair. She should be reprimanded/terminated on the spot. She go out of her way for Hispanic/White customers. Racism is still prevalent in 2023. She did not want to wait on us and were Big Tippers. Her LOST!!!!! The restroom smell like sewage and is very disgusting. It need a deep cleaning and should be out of order. The stench is unbearable!!!! I personally don’t like the food/service. Don’t deserve 1 star. Gross…….

Me and my family just left the Mesquite location tonight and some of the food was not cooked well the chicken was bleeding (literally) pink the macaroni was cold and the cheese was lumpy ugh. My cousin had ordered a a coke for his drink and it was something red floating in the coke. But I can’t say the waiter was ok his name was RoRo I believe sweet guy but all in all I don’t recommend this location to anyone food was terrible 0 out of 10 I’m sorry but no somebody go end up sick eating that chicken know bloody is all I have to say 👎🏾

I wish I could give zero stars. This was my family and I first time trying this location. The food tasted old and nasty, establishment was so disgusting literally like someone dumped trash on the side of the tables. Tables weren’t washed down(cleanse the table myself) The service was so slow. We ate one plate and left. I could’ve went somewhere decent for that price. They honestly need to close this location down. I had a better chance going to Popeyes across the street.

Bathrooms were filthy. 4 was filthy in the dining area. Kids running around everywhere. We will try a different location next time. The one in mesquite was no good.

This Golden Coral restuarant is unsanitary and disgusting! The roof and cieling show large stains from repeated wet spots and the walls appear to be melting from the dampness and mold that's beneath them...you can actually smell it! The tables, chairs and even the condiments and napkin dispenser were wiped... but not clean, with a greasy film on them. Though we arrived within an hour of opening, the meatloaf was dried out and hard, there was some tasteless pot roast and 4 pieces of old chicken brought out after asking and waiting for fresh food to replace the empty dried up tins. The salad bar was just as bad with wilted lettuce, no spinach or other leaf veggie choices, no potatoe, tuna or seafood salad choices and what they offered was not fresh. They didn't even have anyone attending to the salad bar at all, so there were drips and spills all around and empty containers on the salad bar. No one was available in sight for help but as I attempted to locate the manager I realized how dirty the floors behind the buffet tables were and how the kitchen area was even worse with food everywhere! The manager was very dismissive at first but then just wanted to quietly refund my money when I pointed out the fact that I'm sure the health dept would be interested in the condition if this place! Don't eat here if you value your health!

Absolute worst food I have ever had at a golden corral. They were missing basics, like mushrooms, and the stuff they did have was stale. The staff was nice, but the food is too bad to consider going here. Try the one up the freeway a bit.

I don't understand how you're serving a buffet line and you have no kind of meat out no fried Chicken no baked chicken no ham no beef no sausage! there's nothing cooking on the grill! no Taco beef meat for the taco shells no shells at all anything! All that was out was sides.... so when I asked the manager he and she told me that they haven't got their truck delivery so why are you charging full price to go to the buffet line when you don't have the food you sell and all you have is sides??? Who wants to pay over $20 to just eat side!?I have a certain amount of lunch time and I wasted it all I'm coming here and didn't even eat! Real upsetting!

This Golden Corral has the worst management EVER!! One of the people in our party did not have a chance to eat (hardly no food on the buffet anyway). So we kindly asked for a refund for that ONE PERSON...and was denied. Maria the manager was rude and blew off our request. Refused to acknowledge us at all. Basically stated that we were lying even after our kind waiters Rigo and Connie tried to defend the fact that this person had not eaten. No refund was given no customer service was displayed. Then when I asked for the manager's name she acted as if she didn't even want to give it to me so I don't even know if that's her real name. Oh but I have pictures of this so called establishment!!! We will not be returning to this Golden Corral!!! Now check this out while we're finishing up dinner and they are closing they called the police so now we're being escorted out of the restaurant by the police!! Lol...wow.

Super let down! I went here as a kid with my parents, and then with my littles too. Now as a Glamma, my daughter took me and the family with my Gbabies. It was super sad! Went at 8 , they closed at 9. Was a Out of half the stuff ,place was dirty and the food they had look sad. Ice cream machine is always broke. We asked for pizza cause there was none and they said no because about to close, no tortillas. An hour before close, and paid $111 for 4 adults and 2 Kids. You buy a buffet dinner you should honor that regardless what time you are eating! I get when the time is 9 and your basically closing but an hour before,, you are still open and just give everyone the same treatment! Very upset and I don't complain about things , but this is just sad and unexpecable!

The food was old and dry, the staff was not exactly rude but they were not helpful either. I had to ask for refills on our drinks and instead of the waiter going to get them she grabbed the broom & started sweeping. I ended up getting our refills. The Golden Corral in Temple, TX is SO much better. It’s a drive but it was worth it. We spent $62 and felt so horrible about it. They didn’t even thank us for coming.

Terrible Experience Tonight, We usually enjoy our dinner. . I get the Mexican rice. . . Turns out they're out. . . ok cool. . . My son likes the pizza. . . Thats also out, I get informed that they will not be putting more at 7:29pm. . . Sooooo a BUFFET has various items out without replenish and still charged you full price. . . Definitely NOT WORTH IT. . . .if this doesn't change this won't be here for longer. . . .

This was a mistake. It was so gross, we immediately regretted eating here. The waitress was great. The food was old and there weren’t many choices. Surely they are not passing code. They had the fire detector thing in the women’s bathroom taped to the ceiling and it was filthy. My husband said he couldn’t go to the restroom in the men’s because fecal matter was smeared on the toilet. Really. It was a horrible experience.

Horrible... never seen a Golden Corral such a mess and low selection. The food that was put out was all dry. The salad bar had rotten food. The staff at the front was rude. This is unacceptable for a meal that ran us 71.00 for a family of three. The restrooms were all clogged and that side (left) smelled like bathroom even by the food. Never at the Tyler tx location have we experienced anything like this***Our server was nice though
