La Torteria Mesquite Reviews
Nice small place. The Tortas are very big. The quesadillas are totally different from what I am used to it. It's was not my favorite, but even that, it tasted good.
The food here is delicious. I always get the torta cubana or sopes. I’ve gotten the massive one before too and that was good. Easily cut into 3 to share. I think next time I’ll request to add chorizo to the cubana because that’s what I’m used to as far as what’s on it. I know it varies. I just wish that their red salsa had a better flavor. Also, their menu online doesn’t match what their menu is in store, that could be improved so you know exactly what you’re getting. This in store menu is very clear and well organized. I recommend you update your menu. I probably would’ve gotten more if I’d seen this presentation. The service was exceptional, el señor es muy atento al cliente, gracias!
Now if you're looking for authentic Mexican street food, this is a good place to start. This is a place you go for the food and not the opulence and pomp of some "Mexican" restaurants. Imagine a food truck with a permanent address. You go to it so that your taste buds can go to heaven. If you have to have your food served by someone in a penguin suit, keep walking.
The quesadilla wasn't a quesadilla it was chicken without flavor and cheese battered and fried the torta was the best I have ever had the salsa was good no rice or beans on the side no chips and dip when we order the chicken fajitas we was basically given the quesadilla no bell peppers no onions nnnnnooooooooo flavor we was the first costumer in and we got are food second
Food is excellent service abismal. I had to tell them when my food will be ready after 25 min of waiting. They told me they’ll make it right away guess tickets get thrown out after you order. I came back a 2nd time since the food is great but again after 25 min order wasn’t ready. It was only for 1 person order! The lobby’s was empty! Not coming back. Aside from that $5 soda?!?
I ordered tacos al pastor. They weren't bad, but they also weren't that great. Unfortunately, it'll probably be the only time I purchase food from this restaurant. Not that it was bad because it was okay, but at $2.99 per taco, I expected some flavor and there was a lack of. It was a bit disappointing.🤷🏻♀️
Literally the worst hole in the wall I've ever been to. I'm so confused. Why was my chicken unseasoned?? Is it because I'm white? Lol. I've never had such terrible food from a little toco joint. Was my first time and definitely my last time. Literally have the food to my dogs. Chicken was completely unseasoned. Was just gonna smother the tacos in the salsa, which is probably the best thing going for this place, but then the quesadilla had the tiniest pinch of cheese I've ever seen inside. She said the quesadilla would be fried I said that's cool but when I got it, it was soft as bread and was made into like a pocket quesadilla. Again chicken completely unseasoned. I'm just so confused. Worst taco spot ever. Worst $40 spent. Not coming back. My dogs liked it though.
OVERPRICED horrible food the tortas did not come with fries and they were flavorless and bland horrible DO NOT RECOMMEND
Picked up two tortas chilangas today and paid almost $40. There’s no way a torta should be $20—especially when it tastes cold and dry. Very disappointed. Will not be coming back!!
Got my order wrong. Chicken fried chicken instead of Milanese beef. First and last time I'll ever come here.
Ordered through uber eats. My husband picked up the food and we realized they forgot 3 tacos and 1 quesadilla when we got home. I called them, figuring they realized the mistake…. The dude who handed us the food (Omar or Oscar)swears we lied and were apparently trying to steal food, cause why would anyone lie? Like bro, you made a mistake. Accept it and move on. He didn’t even check the bags, he just handed it to us. Like how is he assuring the order was right? Believe me, I was not trying to steal $20 worth of tacos
Spent $70 on tacos togo and asked to have cilantro and onions on the side. They did just as requested except all we received was stems from the cilantro and no leaves whatever. The point of this is if your going to spend $70 on tacos don't you think that you should receive a quality product? Meat was bland tortillas no flavor. Won't be returning. Mad at myself for spending money here.
