I'm giving 5 stars alone just for customer service. Stop by on my long drive home. The young lady in the drive-through gave amazing service. It seemed as of she enjoyed her job. My food was hot and I had plenty of condiments without asking. I purchased the fish and fry basket which was pretty good and the shrimp and fish taquito which were full of shrimp and fish but we're just okay to me. My rice was missing as well, but being that stay in Frisco, it's not like I was going to go back and get it. But overall, still worth the stop. Next time I'll try something different being that they have so many options.

Went there to celebrate my granddaughters birthday and, as always, enjoyed the food. Other than the servers bringing you your food from the kitchen, it's pretty much self-service, and the atmosphere is good.

First time coming here and all I can say is AMAZING. Food and service was great.

Well, I was in the mood for Fried Catfish Filets, it's been awhile, so my 1st time visit to Seafood Shack. Ordered their 3 Catfish Filet basket which cost $14.07 including tax. Not bad! Came with 3 Large filets, a LARGE order of crispy fries, 2 hush puppies and 2 small strips of carrots. The young lady who took my order was very nice and actually made me feel like she was glad I was there..all smiles! Four condiments to choose from, all you can eat regular Tartar Sauce which was very good, Lemon, Cajun Tartar Sauce and Ketchup. The filets were freshly cook and very hot! Eyes bigger than my appetite so one filet was leftover.. for later, right! The restaurant was very clean and there was a young man here cleaning the dining area from the time I walked until I walked out. They have what looks like a full bar. Plenty of areas to sit. Ladies room clean. I felt the music was a bit loud if trying to carry on a conversation with a dinner mate but was alone. Highly recommend you give them a try! I WILL be back! THANK YOU SEAFOOD SHACK!!

The food is great. The service is good. The music and TV are both in Spanish. The tables may be too close together. The place is clean. Come early on Friday nights! Good value for your money and time.

BEST mango margarita I've had! They have a good selection of seafood at a decent price considering how much food you get. The large shrimp cocktail is a true large and worth the price. My favorite is the fish tacos. The only reason I knocked a star off is because they're always packed and sometimes it takes a while to get your order.

We arrived at about noon on a Sunday. I was craving shrimp tacos so my cousin told me about this place. We ordered 3 meals for takeout. Two were the sautéed shrimp tacos and one was the salmon and grilled veggies. Everything was delicious! The rice is SO tasty and flavorful. It was kinda busy in there and now I see why. I will definitely be returning. I highly recommend it to any seafood lovers.

Very slow service almost as if they're not prepared for any customers much less a lunch time rush. Drive-thru will put you in a waiting Zone as soon as I can get your money from you, presumably to get the person behind you use money as soon as possible to as their food won't be ready either. Language can be an issue here if you don't speak Spanish. The food was okay, if not maybe a little pricey. I will probably eat here again but I won't be going out of my way to get here.

I'm not sure if the service recently changed but I have mostly visited their North Dallas location in the past. When I last visited 10/2022 we had to order in line like a fast food place instead of having a wait staff direct us to a table/menu. I dont feel like this is the best approach to this style of food since everyone is ordeing meals that take a long time to prep and drinks.

Food was good. Price is high! one side of fries is the same as a child's plate. It's crazy you have to make line every time you need a drink. Should become a full service restaurant not a "fast food" place.

The seafood sauce is tasty, but the crabs are kind of small, the shrimp are too... I tried one of the ceviche and it was tasteless and like none I ever seen before. Place is small, got all kinds of looks from customers like we didn't belong their or something. The bar ladies was so sweet and kind and helpful tho. Over all I won't return tho, certainly not worth the price and the looks we got.

I went to get chevich and it was nothing compared to what I get. The whole pcs is from El Rio the diced up up are from sea food shack and you can tell the difference. Won't be going back for no chevich again

The other Seafood shack on the other side of Dallas is way better than thus location. It's super clean, great service and food is excellent! This location service is not great, you have to order and pay as soon as you walk in and then they forget about you... I didn't enjoy this place

A friend recommended this place to me. I wanted fried fish and when I got it I was very disappointed. I felt the portions were too small. But that's not to say that the food did not look good I just will never eat the fried fish there again for $7 this is what I got in the pictures. But I also must say that the customer service was excellent.

I got noting bad to say about the food been coming there for years. Always get the family platter it was 8:30 and they were saying at the drive thru automated message the they were closed. Normally it says that and someone picks up but I go to the window because it says they close at 10 she sees me looks right at me but acts like I’m not there. I’ve supported them for years but I will no long go there or recommend it because I am big on customer service And that was bullshit. If the food wasn’t good I’d rate them one star but ima be fair and give them 3 stars but the customer service was negative 5. Do better. I was one of your first customers when you first opened

The food at Seafood Shack in Mesquite was good, and the customer service was great. However, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the outside area. I slipped on an oily substance, fell, and bruised my tailbone, which is going to take weeks to heal. I hope they improve their maintenance, as this could be a serious issue for others.

Food and beer is slow coming out with 8 ppl in the whole restaurant. Agua chile was disappointing today last time I came it was really good. This time it was very sour. Manager came out and took it and exchanged it for something else. Service is awesome they are very attentive over all. Place is really clean

Food is ok, in my opinion a little expensive for the quality you receive. Fries needed a little bit more time in the fryer, shrimp breading was ok, we ordered a shrimp po boy and got a catfish one, husband said it was ok not too bad, but he was expecting shrimp anyways. Shrimp cocktail was the only thing we really liked, flavor was excellent on that cocktail and had enough avocado which usually in other places they just put one or two pieces. I think it can be a great place if they try to cook their food better.

Kind of expensive... Skimpy portions, and my fries and okra were soft not crispy. I had to wait 30 minutes for my order even though there were only 4 other customers at the time. Horrible experience. I highly recommend against it. Do not eat here.

I went there because read some good reviews, so first time there. Seafood gumbo was the worst gumbo I've ever had , and to charge 9 dollars, joke was on me. Had a strip po/boy sandwich, it had ice berg lettuce and way to big slice tomatoes, the bread , shrimp, and sauce made it to where I could eat the sandwich , but once again 11 dollar , certainly not up to par. My son had the shrimp enchiladas, and said it was really good , for 16 dollars I would hope so. 40 dollars , in my opinion for that kind of money am looking for someplace different.

I have eaten at the Mesquite and Dallas locations. The food is just OK. I agree with many of the reviews that they are over priced for the quality you receive. They charge over $5.00 for one shrimp tostada and it is nothing to write home about. I do not take the time to give reviews but I wanted to warn people. Their soups looked good but I did not order soup, I had fried fish and shrimp combo They use a corn meal breading and too thick and oily. $12 Go somewhere else unless you know something specific that is good and fairly priced

No flavor. Nothing had flavor. Ordered two salmon plates. No flavor. Even the sauce had no flavor! Tarter sauce had flavor. I was surprised that nothing was seasoned. Not ordering here again.

This was not a good location. We have been to the other ones and they were better. This food was pretty gross. The girl taking orders was not able to answer simple questions about the menu and that is not great to start. But we ordered anyway thinking it would be consistent with what we have had at other locations. It wasn't. It wasn't even consistent within THIS VISIT. We got 2 orders of shrimp tacos. One order was completely different than the other. We don't know why ....but they were both gross. Won't ever go back.

I honestly don't know why people eat here. They're rice is always hard they shrimp soup is flavorless. Has the cook or ownert ever raste their own food? Do they mean to make the rice hard like undercooked? Also the girls all of them are so rude specially the short chubby one. The guys are always nice.

I'm going to add this place to my 'never, ever, ever, forever go here again' list. I ordered the shrimp basket. I live right up the street from this place. By the time I got home, I could tell just by looking and feeling the styrofoam container that the food wasn't hot. The shrimp was tough. Fries were limp. This has 'been sitting under a heat lamp' written all over it. This is the cost of being a take-out customer, but I really HATE having to look food over before I leave a place. I just trust that they have pride enough in what they do. I worked at Dairy Queen in high school. I was a cook. I took pride in making burgers that were fresh. I felt bad when I got an order wrong and a customer was not satisfied. Sorry DQ, but I ain't serving a customer 'heat lamp' burgers. This is the second time I got a bad order from this place. The first time was rubbery fried fish. There will not be a third time.

The only reason i give this place one star is because of the micheladas and the waiter who worked by herself on the bar. We saw how she rinsed our oysters in the sink by the bar , (which i think should b done in the kitchen) when we got them , they had a horrible smell and decided not to mess with them since sea food is very delicate. When it was time for out shrimp cocktail , the very few shrimp that we got were dirty and you could still see the s#%t in them. Maybe I’m used to high quality seafood but im definitely not going to waste my money there anymore. If you want to risk getting food poisoning, you should definitely check this place out.

I was just there and drive thru took 30-35 minutes to hand me my food and there was no one I front of us... and then Got home I live like 2 minutes away and My Fries where nasty old and cold ! And The Fish was Burnt or It tasted like they didn’t change the Oil they cooked it in but it tasted like SH*T ! NEVER AGAIN.

Ordered the large cocktail mix. It had two oysters and a few shrimp. It was About 80 % octopus. Very disappointed. For 20 bucks, I didn't want it to be filled with octopus. I have had it before, and the ingredients were balanced. I can only guess they are cutting costs on the customer's dime. ☹️

The food is good but unfortunately after consuming $125, we asked them if we could get a small amount of chili powder. First the manager said they didn’t have any, after we asked again the manager said that it was going to be 3 dollars. Be careful to the “owner” your manager or you just made you loose a costumer over a small amount of chili powder.

This restaurant has really turned to garbage after COVID. The service has really gone downhill, I paid $16.75 for a margarita tonight. The menu says Beer Rita’s are $11.50 and they failed to tell you that a beer Rita does not come with Beer you are actually charged for the beer, which are $5.25 for Dos Equis. We were started being served by one server and ended up getting two other servers attend us after that. I had to get up out of my chair to go to get my own salt shaker and my own lemons and still at the end of the visit the servers still wanted a tip. Here’s your tip, “Grab an umbrella when it’s raining outside!” I don’t recommend this place not even to my number one enemy. The manager is also not about the customer she’s out for her money period. You can count on me taking my business and money elsewhere

Owners should be ashamed they went up on prices and made the portions half the size. I have been coming here for years but I will never come back I ordered a medium shrimp cocktail and they went up 6 dollars on the price but it’s literally half the size horrible way to do business

The staff is nice. The shrimp however, was not seasoned well. Once you had good food of any kind (especially seafood) everything else is compared to it. The shrimp (jumbo) doesn't need to be flattened because it loses the flavor. Bottom line is that the food (seafood) needs more SEASONING. However they can improve.

Definitely do not go here to eat I went through the drive-through and ordered a two piece fish fillet that comes with shrimp and instead of fries I ordered corn bites and for my drink I ordered a fresh lemonade. To start off the line was extremely slow it took about 10 minutes for them to even take my debit card payment when they handed me my order something told me to open my order up when I did my shrimp were missing so I’m glad I checked it before I left the drive-through also my pineapple upside down cake per the image in the drive-through it has a cherry in the middle the cake slice that I received did not have a cherry also the lemonade taste like sweet water I actually believe if I would’ve gotten a regular fountain Minute Maid lemonade it would’ve tasted better so I sent that back. They made another drink and it tasted the same sugar water. At this point I was at the drive thru window about 30 min. Asked for full refund - and left after wasting about 45 min in the drive through. This was my 1st and my last time coming there. They were not rude at all but I will not be returning , nor any of my family nor friends.

They sat all the guests right next to each other, when there was plenty of room to at least put a table between each of us. Fries were brick cold in the middle. Cajun fish had no flavor. Overall poor experience. It was very clean despite my other complaints.

Hated it! First of all I stood at the counter in front of two cashiers that didn't acknowledge me for 5 minutes. I called in an order for 1 pound of shrimp and 1/2 pound of sausage. The juices weren't boxed well and spilled out all into the bag. After tasting the food it was immensely underwhelming. Lacked flavor and salt. I won't be back.

This is what I found in my daughter's food when I ordered from them. The manager never once apologized for it being in her food all she did was ask for my receipt and refunded my money back. And told me that the rubber band was not dirty. I will never attempt to eat here again.

So me and a friend went through the drive thru, and ordered the calamari and this is what we got when We got home, honestly this was sad, how do you do this to a customer? This used to be our go to spot for mariscos, but they have completely lost a loyal customer. First off, we waited 25 minutes in line for them to give us our to-go order that we had placed over the phone 20 minutes prior. We had asked the girl behind the bar if it was possible to get our order through her since the order should’ve been ready, but she denied and ignored us standing there. I got back in the long line, only to have some of my order missing. I called to let them know, and they said to come back to pick up at the register. When we got back, the soup was really cold (an hour after the order was made of course). When we told the manager that it was cold, he quickly said no. HOW COULD IT NOT BE?? Asked for a refund and they made a big deal about a screw up on their end. I have never been to a place where they treat their customers like they were the ones who didn’t do right. Never again. Horrible service.

I love this place. I call like 6 times to place an order didn’t answer. So I went all the way to the restaurant Order to- go got home an my sons burger was half way raw what the heck sea shack! 🙄 I don’t have the energy to go an get a refund or another burger!

They took my order wrong. My drink was a lemonade and it was sour. Then they took forever to bring my food out and still didn't bring me another drink. By the time they did I was done with my food. I will never come here again. Don't recommend this to anyone.

Language barriers suck, but usually good service is good service. I ordered shrimp with jalapeños and a side of fries. I waited about 7 minutes for my order. I received the wrong order first. Then I received part of my order with the wrong side. I was promised it would be fixed. 20 minutes later. Nothing Finally I flagged down a different server who was bringing out food to another customer who had been waiting. The second server expressed empathy for my wait and brought out the correct side I ordered. The food was alright but I'm sure it was affected by the service I received at this restaurant.

They cannot cook seafood oysters dried out very small over cooked until dry to batter and empty inside, they speciality is Mexican food… don’t buy American that cannot cook American food. Cold slaws was terrible mayo salad

I used to love going but lately the portions have gotten smaller and smaller and then with the price increase is crazy!! I just went through the drive thru and I asked for a medium shrimp cocktail and for almost $17 I was getting a small size!! So then I asked to just switch it up for a large( for $4 more)and it seems that they just added more juice than shrimp!! Really unacceptable! This isn’t the only time something like this happens

The place was nearly empty inside, but I went through the drive thru and waited 15 minutes until I decided to go in and get my food. The place had an unpleasant smell. There was what appeared to be a type of mariachi band and that was loud from the drive thru. They don't have catfish filets, but do offer a fried whole catfish. From the pics posted in other reviews, I passed on that. The fish (some kind of fish like swai or sole) was sliced thin and the flesh was mushy and bland. The breading had a decent consistency but was tasteless. The fries, I thought were seasoned with a hint of salt, but I found they'd just fried them in the same grease as they did the fish. I didn't bother trying the hush puppies. I would not eat here again.
