The Strand at Carillon Miami Miami Beach Reviews
Absolutely loved the brunch at Carillon! The service was excellent from start to finish, and the food was truly amazing. The eggs Benedict with salmon were exceptional perfectly prepared and full of flavor. Everyone was incredibly friendly, which made the experience even better. Today they also had a farmer’s market with a beautiful selection of organic fruits and vegetables. I was pleasantly surprised to see Compost for Life there as well, such an inspiring initiative helping make Miami more sustainable. Overall, a wonderful experience. Highly recommended! The market will be happening every 3rd Sunday of the month, so it’s definitely worth checking out. Left very happy and satisfied! 🌿🍳✨
The group wanted to have a brunch with an elevated ambience and standout dishes so we ventured to The Strand to try out the Miami Spice Menu. If you are looking for an experience that seamlessly blends culinary artistry with heartfelt sustainability, you need to try chef Christopher Robertson's menu. The menu is thoughtful as it is flavorful and the service was friendly. I chose the Heirloom Tomato dish as my first course, it was delicately plated with native pecan oil, basil, truffle pecorino toscano. My second course was the Steak and Eggs. It was an elevated preparation of a comfort classic. Lastly but certainly not least, for dessert, the options shine with simplicity but perfect ending with the Passion Fruit Mousse. You'll want to enjoy a drink at the pool bar called Seaglass. I had the Pastelito, like a Moscow mule but with guava. I was most impressed with Chef Robertson's thoughtful sustainability efforts using local farms, plastic-free packaging, and other partnerships. It's conscious dining! Loved it and will be back soon.
The service is always very friendly here. The food is great, all fresh ingredients with healthy choices - if you want to make them - and some hearty ones as well. The turkey sandwich is always good. The pizzas can vary a little depending on what you get. The Margherita pictured here is very good. Overall, great place to dine with lovely ocean views! Update: Tried the burger, it was decent. The pizza was better than I remembered it. The service was still friendly but very slow - I am considering the fact that they were dealing with a very large outdoor party with lunch staff, otherwise, it would've been slow enough to drop to 4 stars. Update: Breakfast was excellent, and service was on point. Update 2: Went for lunch - the service was a bit slow, but friendly nonetheless. The skirt steak was amazing, chicken sandwich was good. Update 3: Good as always, the service was faster and friendly as usual. I had to get the skirt steak again and it was just as good as last time.
We had an incredible dinner tonight! Chef Chris personally curated some dishes for us and every single dish was phenomenal! Our server Mohammed was fantastic. Overall the food and service were honestly the best we’ve had anywhere in a long time. I would absolutely come back and I highly recommend this restaurant.
Been coming here for a year. Always on point food. Consistently great beef cuts. Anything for Breakfast is awesome. Lunch pizzas are “woah awesome” and a damn good chicken Sandwich. Full set of Tank brewery’s Local brews among others, always cold, perfect pours. As for the bar, an awesome experience despite the lack of a lively atmosphere because of a New bartender Jason. Great wine recommendation💪
The view is quite nice and the restaurant is cozy and comfortable. The staff were wonderful. I ordered the smoked salmon benedict and it was cooked well. The knife sliced through it very neatly and it was yummy! The whole wheat pancakes were okay.
I spent Mother’s day brunch at the Strand and it was phenomenal! The brunch menu was well thought of with savory and sweet choices. We were a party of ten and the food came out in a timely matter and staff were really attentive.
Great service, delicious food, paired perfectly with the sunrise. Enjoyed our morning date.
A quite solid a la carte menu. I come here when I want something more upscale but still quick and easy.
Lovely Fish Tacos 🌮 for lunch. Served at the Bar, fast and excellent service. Food was delicious
Call me crazy, but I will write a review about a sandwich at this restaurant: Not a big fan of sandwiches! My wife chose this turkey bad boy. The sandwich was a wonderful experience! It has amazing juxtaposition between the turkey and the cheese and then the sautéed onions that they have on there. They also use a very wonderful daily aioli sauce . She requested hers to be warmed and it was great. I had to eat half of hers🤷🏻♂️🤣.
Wonderful night. The dinner was amazing. The staff was polite and helpful. Christopher the executive chef very friendly stopped by every table

My brother suggested we stop in for lunch while visiting.Truly can not say enough wonderful things. The property is GORGEOUS! We sat outside on the patio overlooking the ocean. The views are stunning. The service provided by Laureana, was impeccable. She was very knowledgeable and thoughtful with her recommendations. The three of of couldn't get past the Lobster Tacos, which we all ordered and started with the Lump Crab Salad. The food was outstanding and beautifully presented. Ryan, the Food and Beverage Manager, stopped by our table. He was incredibly kind, sharing history of the property and offered to bring us on a tour of some of the areas. Truly an exquisite property. Looking forward to our next visit, The Strand will be at the top of the list! Thank you for a memorable experience.

🎉🍽️🥂 Maybe this place really shines for private events, because that’s what I attended tonight — and the staff were definitely on their game. Both the hors d’oeuvres and buffet were on point, with everything running smoothly. Desserts could’ve been a bit more filling, and the bathrooms a little closer, but overall, a great job and a well-run evening!

I went for brunch but ended up leaving and going elsewhere. Food looks amazing, but this is not a brunch, its a lunch. Only a couple breakfast items... not worth the $65 if you're in the mood for breakfast food. Also, the website is misleading as the brunch menu has prices a la cart, making it seem like you have the option of buffet or ordering off the menu... you do not, its buffet only.
The service wasn’t that great . The young lady that seated us wasn’t welcoming at all no smiles or any greeting at all. All she asked was where we wanted to sit. We order the steak and Betilina Pizza which was good but definitely not worth the price at all. However, the ambiance was pretty nice. Overall for the price point I would expect way better service from the staff.

Our experience here was interesting. It started out great and ended on a rather sour note. The greeter here needs to be trained on social etiquette, politeness and how not to be racist and racially profile people. I will say our negative experience only involves her, as the other employees at the hotel & the restaurant were all nice. Let’s get into it. My Mom and I came here last week. It was not crowded at all as it was the middle of the afternoon, mid-week; there was only one other family in the entire restaurant by the time we left. The greeter was fine at first, a little stiff with a forced, fake smile but I didn’t think anything of it at the time. We were seated at the back of the restaurant so I could see the ocean from the windows. The ambiance was very nice. Our waiter was very, very nice and made sure my Mom had extra avocado and nice, thick chunks of lobster on her tacos. He was talkative, friendly and gave good recommendations. She thoroughly enjoyed her meal. My ravioli dish was okay (they could’ve put more pieces but I suppose plating was more important to them) but delicious. We paid for our meal, chatted for a bit and got up to leave. As we walked towards the front of the restaurant, the same greeter started shouting after us because she thought we didn’t pay. Our very nice waiter instantly defended us (even he sounded annoyed; I can’t imagine what it’s like working with someone like her) and she stopped talking. She didn’t explain herself, apologize or take any kind of accountability for her very rude actions. To accuse us of not paying when there are cameras in the restaurant, it was not crowded at all, and it was broad daylight? The audacity. The irony of doing this in a wellness resort is not lost on me. A little less racist behavior and little more love and light please. The food was excellent but we’ll never be back. People go to restaurants to eat, not to be humiliated. I don’t remember what she looked like and I don’t know her name. But you know who you are. And you know what you did. Reprehensible.

Overall I just recommend going to iHop across the street. Better service and yummier food with calorie info. First try: This is for the Breakfast “Buffet” - Priced at $35 per person. It does not include menu items, so no omelettes or French toasts that is separate. The buffet is so tiny, only scrambled eggs bacon, and some cold cuts. Some fruits. Truly a rip off, we get better food at airport lounges. Do not order buffet get a la carte if you want anything more than a scrambled that is watery and bacon that is super crisped. Second try: Had À la carte the second day and the service was not great. Lots of confusion about bringing us coffee. The food was good though.

The service is horrible. The food was okay. The advertisement is not accurate. So at the time we went for Miami spice “brunch” which is not brunch it’s more Miami spice LUNCH because it does not start serving until 12pm. Then when I did get served after 12pm it’s not even hollandaise sauce it’s some green sauce. I had to show them the picture on my phone about their steak with eggs and hollandaise “yellow” sauce. We had 3 different waiters serving us, it was such a mess. Just a bad experience overall.

I was going to book a retreat for my bachelorette party here but nope 🙅♀️ because the food comes from this place.
A group of us ventured to The Strand to try out the Miami Spice Menu. We were surprised that the website allowed us to reserve a table for 10:45 am for Sunday brunch. From the second we walked in, the service at the front desk was not very friendly and helpful. We were told immediately that Miami Spice Menu Brunch starts at 12:00 pm although the website allowed booking the reservation at 10:45am. The manager was called, and she approved for us to get served from the brunch menu. However, the young lady that attended us wasn’t welcoming at all, no smiles or any greeting at all. When we asked for the Miami Spice Menu, she went ballistic and proceeded to yell that brunch starts at 12:00 pm. We informed her the manager said it was ok, but she adamantly refused to believe us. She was so loud that the manager came to our table, and she proceeded to also yell at the manager and scold her for misinforming us. Another server also came over with an attitude. Bottom line, they refused to serve from the brunch menu. As educated people we are, we decided to stay and have breakfast. The server then proceeded to tell us that we had to hurry because breakfast would be over in 30 minutes. Service is as poor as the food, very disappointed!! The ambiance was pretty nice. Overall, for the price point I would expect way better service from the staff.

Always disappointing. Service is as poor as the food. Food quality differs by the day depending on the cook. Management doesn’t care about customer feedback. The place is always empty as a result.
