Ball & Chain Miami Reviews
Dropped by here for more dancing during our bar hopping through Miami's Little Havana area. It was a fun and picturesque venue with a nice patio as you walk through the dance floor to just chill and get food at. The music was a lot of fun as well!
I did not eat any food, but the atmosphere was fantastic. They’ve got a big band chill in the back for music. It’s busy and happening all day long with love music. A lot of people sit around in the back gardens just enjoying the atmosphere. This is a cool place. Cuban music and lots of history.
Ball and Chain was the venue for my husband and I's welcome party for our wedding. Everything about working with them while planning, to the actual event was incredible. They were so accommodating, helped us navigate budget factors, and were patient and kind with us throughout since we were planning from across the country. I highly recommend hosting an event there, and working with Sam! She is a dream. The event was so incredible, it made us nervous about topping it the next night at our wedding! I could not recommend it more. The experience was incredible.
A Must-Visit for the Ultimate Little Havana Experience! 💃 Nights like this make Miami unforgettable! Stepping into Ball & Chain felt like stepping back in time—rich history, incredible live music, and the best energy on Calle Ocho. It was easily our favourite dinner experience in the city. The service was outstanding; the staff was amazing, constantly ensuring our drinks were topped off and checking in to make sure every dish was perfect. The Lineup: * World Famous Mojito: Refreshing and perfectly balanced. (during Happy Hour, buy one get one free!) * Vaca Frita: Crispy, flavourful, and authentic. * Tropical Ensalada: A perfect fresh pairing for the meal. * Virgin Piña Colada: Creamy, tropical, and delicious! Between the live band and the 100% good vibes, this place is a total showstopper. Don't leave Miami without stopping here! 🍹✨.
Classic club on Calle 8 in Miami. We went during the day and they had a live band. We had their famous mojitos and they were fantastic. They have happy hour M-F from 4-7pm where all cocktails are buy one get one. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great music, drinks, and vibes!
It’s virtually impossible to walk past the historic nightclub Ball & Chain without wanting to dance your way in and order a Mojito. This iconic Cuban restaurant hosts live music every day and is typically jumping with a mix of locals, tourists, and an occasional octogenarian who seems to stop by on their way home to dance and sing along to a few classic tunes before heading home with their groceries. I cannot imagine a more authentic Cuban experience than this place. I read about it before my recent trip to Miami and knew we needed to swing by. The bartenders are great, attentive, and skilled at their trade. I deviated from tradition and ordered a Paloma, which came with a Tajin rim (yes, I know it’s a Mexican drink). We didn’t order any food but did watch a few plates pass by, and they looked generous and delicious. When we arrived, the floor was covered in confetti, and the band was packing up, so I assumed we had missed the party. I was wrong. After one band packs up, another sets up, and before you know it, the music is flowing, and the crowd is swaying in time. It seems that many folks come for their birthday, and that is where the confetti comes in. If there is a birthday in your group, be sure to mention it to the host when you are seated. There is an outdoor patio with a DJ and a more contemporary vibe, where a few people are smoking and enjoying cocktails at the outdoor bar. We had a great time, and I am sure the cocktails added to my inhibitions as we literally danced our way out the door, into an Uber, and requested that the driver play some salsa music.
Great atmosphere with live music. You can sit at the bar and have a drink. There is a backyard for smoking cigars. The cocktail I tried was a bit too sweet and not very alcoholic, but the beer was good.
Rainy day in Little Havana meant we had to seek shelter - lucky for us we wandered into Ball & Chain! Gorgeous bar with fantastic vibes, live music, and great bar staff! Roger was out bartender and he not only made great drinks - he was also a great host for us in our time at the bar. If you’re around here stop on in - even if it’s sunny.
We had an absolutely spectacular experience last night! My friend came to visit me from Colombia, and I wanted to take her somewhere iconic cause it was also her birthday, the team truly went above and beyond. 10/10. It was my first time visiting, but you’ve definitely gained a new regular! Thank you so much for having us. Felipe and Adriana were incredibly attentive, and Melanie (our server) was outstanding—10/10 service. The music, atmosphere, food, cocktails… everything was perfect. We can’t wait to come back!
I just had the absolute best New Year’s Eve party of my life at Ball & Chain, and I cannot recommend this place enough. From the moment I walked in, the energy was electric. The highlight of the night was the entertainment—the dancers were breathtakingly colorful, vibrant, and brought an authentic energy to the room that kept everyone moving. It felt like a true celebration of culture and style. I especially want to recognize the General Manager, Felipe. It’s rare to see a GM so "on point" during such a high-pressure night. He was incredibly attentive to his staff, moving through the floor to ensure everything was running like clockwork. It was clear that his leadership was the reason the service stayed seamless despite the huge crowd.
Absolutely fantastic Cuban restaurant and bar! Our bartender Roger delivered exceptional customer service combined with pure talent as a mixologist! The food was also amazing. Do not miss ordering their Empanadas... best I've ever had!!!
Our server was Maria from Venezuela and was excellent. Band was very entertaining. Food was delish—chicken quesadillas and pineapple salad excellent as were the mojitos. Highly recommend a stop here in Little Havana.
Love this spot!! The live band was everything! Pamela our waitress was awesome!! She made sure we were taken care of. She gave us great service and was super sweet. If you’re ever in the area, check out this place and ask for Pamela!
It was a little hard to get a reservation for Saturday, but they were super nice and helped us book it. From that moment, we knew the service was going to be great. The vibe was fun, the drinks were really good, and the food was delicious, all in one spot. The band was awesome and really set a party mood. My favorite part was the patio with the DJ and tons of cocktails. We had such a fun night!
Highly recommend if you are in Little Havana. We tried the jerk Chicken wings which were delicious, Cuban sandwich, quesadillas and grilled chicken sandwich and all were very good with good portion size. The atmosphere was great and service was too.
One of the best places in Miami. Good food, good drinks and good vibe. Recommend you going by lucnh, early agternoon and sitting at the bar where you can see and hear live Cubam music celebraring life and happiness. Come and enjoy, you’ll not regret at all.
Ball & Chain it Little Havana is amazing!! The staff and Bartenders are first class and provide really great service. The outside patio in the back is a great lounge spot to have some drinks, some cigars and watch some great live music with great atmosphere!! I will recommend this place to everyone and will make a point to come here anytime I am in the 305
Very fun time for Salsa night on Sunday night. DJ was LITT, music was great. Danced the night away with best friend. If you don’t know how to dance ladies, there are nice gentlemen there who will come up to dance with you and actually teach you! And they are respectful from my experience. But don’t be afraid to let someone know if you are uncomfortable! You’ll have a great time!💃🏽
This Cuban restaurant is absolutely amazing! The food is authentic, flavorful, and made with so much care—every bite felt like a taste of Cuba. The portions are generous, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff treats you like family. Whether it’s the perfectly seasoned dishes, the refreshing drinks, or the cozy vibe, everything here is top-notch. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a true Cuban dining experience—I’ll definitely be coming back!
Ball & Chain exceeded my expectations. We went to celebrate our Holiday Party there, and the attention was truly out of this world. The ambience was phenomenal, everything was so beautifully decorated, the food was delicious, the workers were so attentive. Will recommend it to anyone. Planning on continuing to choose this venue for Holiday parties. What a great place to eat, dance and have fun!
Visited this venue for the first time while visiting Miami. Loved the ambiance, the history of the place. The staff was amazing, taking care of all our culinary needs The live band was playing engaging Latin music and at 9 PM the place turned into a vibrant night club. Definitely a place to visit.
I work at a restaurant thst prides itself in its hospitality. Stopping here with my family today, I had one of the best experiences with my family I could have imagined. We were having a tough day, and the manager decided to take an opportunity to turn the day around for us. The server Brenda was amazing. Support staff was super attentive. The band was fun. I rolled my eyes when my brother in law ordered the pitcher of mojito, (because Im a rum snob), but even in the pitcher form, the drink came out perfectly balanced. All 7 of us tried different dishes and all of loved what we ordered. We walked into this place on a whim, best decision we've made in Miami yet! 12/10
We had a great time at The Ball & Chain in Little Havana. The drinks were delicious, I had a Majito. Maria from Venezuela, was our waitress, she was attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend and will come back.
Brenda was our waitress and she displayed exceptional service! Made us feel like family. Your organization is beyond fortunate to have her apart of your team! We need more like Brenda 👍
Came to visit here from Pensacola, FL and had the best food, drinks and fun here!! Heard the music from the street and had to stop in! Franklin the bartender is outstanding & the band was awesome playing so many instruments! Highly recommend for drinks, food and fun time. P.S. the empanadas were amazing, and the espresso martinis are yummy for the an afternoon pick me up!
We were pleasantly surprised how good this place was. We really wanted to listen to live music, sit outside, play dominos, eat good food, have a good drink, great service, and relax. I know…..that’s a tall order to ask for from a restaurant. Maria from Venezuela was AMAZING! She was patient, kind, and took time to make sure we were comfortable. 10/10 recommend!
Ball & Chain is pure Little Havana energy — live salsa, jazz, and mojitos that hit hard. The atmosphere is vibrant and loud, with great music, dancing, and Cuban bites. Perfect for a lively night out, not so much if you want quiet conversation. Historic, colorful, and unforgettable.
Brenda was great and our group felt so well celebrated and welcome! We were there for a bachelorette and had a blast. Cubans and mojitos were fabulous!
I love Ball and Chain. Apart from having amazing salsa live music, the service is impeccable. My husband and I were helped by Fabio, who was extremely friendly as well as a great bartender. The drinks were refreshing and perfect balance, and the fritters were something everyone must experience. The refried beans and rice, fried in a ball and accompanied by a mustard aoili was 10/10. I surely will be back next time I’m in Miami.
We saw this place online and decided to take a visit to Little Havana. Service was great from the front door guy to the manager walking us to a nice table in the Patio. This place is definitely a vibe . We arrived at 9pm and stayed until 2am. Food was great and the DJ and Band were excellent!
Loved this place! Such an perfect stop to be transported in Little Havana. Our server Pamela was awesome and we'd.come back again and again! Definitely get the bucket of mojitos if you want to be surprised!
Pamela is the best server!! She was kind, offered great suggestions & very accommodating. Best service I’ve had in awhile! Thank you Pamela! Loved the live music and cocktails. Good happy hour
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely amazing experience at Ball & Chain in Miami! Huge shout-out to Maria from Venezuela — she was phenomenal and truly made our night unforgettable. From the moment we sat down, her energy, attentiveness, and warmth were top-tier. We started with the guacamole with pork belly as an appetizer — insanely good, perfectly seasoned, and a must-try. For our entrée, we had the vaca frita, which was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. To finish, we shared the flan, and wow… smooth, rich, and the perfect sweet ending to the meal. On top of the incredible food and service, the live music was such a vibe — lively, fun, and exactly what you want when you’re in Miami. If you’re coming to Ball & Chain, ask for Maria. She’s a star ⭐️ and elevated the entire experience. We’ll definitely be back!
We found ball and chain on a food tour led by Jennifer, Who highly recommended we stopped back for food and/or drinks. Our server Maria went above and beyond in caring for our group of 6! We didn’t have food but the mojitos were delicious! We sat in the back patio and enjoyed the music. We will come back again when in Miami.
Ball & Chain was the PERFECT finale for our Board retreat. The food and beverages were fantastic, the salsa dancers and staff were amazing, and made sure we had a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Cannot recommend this venue enough.
Our server Elsy Guzman was amazing. She went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome in this festive establishment. This was our second visit and we planned to have lunch here again because the food is excellent and the vibe is so charming!
Wonderful live music and food. Our server, Roger Gaitan, was the best and had amazing recommendations. We had the Hatuey and the Calle Ocho Old Fashioned to drink, and the croquetas, elote, CUBAN SPRING ROLL (my favorite) and the TACOS DE LECHÓN (my spouse’s favorite). Everything was delicious!
Wow this was fun. The live music, the atmosphere and the service was incredible. Rachel our server ( who has an awesome lizard tattoo) was super nice and very helpful with the menu. This was my first stop in 2018 and our last stop in 2026! Can’t wait to come back!!!
My wife and I had a wonderful time at Ball & Chain. Our waitress, Elsy G., was incredibly sweet and attentive, and she made us feel truly welcome. The in-house band and salsa dancing were fantastic and created such a lively atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back! 🎶💃
One of the best in Calle Ocho! As we stepped foot in the place Lia greeted us with a smile and making us laugh. The music was great and it went perfect with the ambiance. The food and drinks were great as well. Highly recommended!!
Had lunch here today with a friend. My first time here, and the old decor and ambience is quite impressive. Lots of posters from the jazz era and Cuban cigars on display. The Cuban larger wasn’t available so we had the season IPA instead. I had a Cuban sandwich, the portion was good. They have a nice patio to sit outdoors if you don’t care for the music.
Ball & Chain is a total vibe! The food was spot on, the ambience had that perfect mix of energy and style, and the DJ kept the day alive. Huge shoutout to our server Elsy for being so warm, attentive, and making the night even better. Definitely one of those places you don’t want to leave once you’re in. Highly recommend!
Our entire group of 40 had a fantastic time hosting our social event here. The buffet was both delicious and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with first the jazz band that was excellent as well. The overall vibe made the experience truly enjoyable. We will definitely be back.
What am amazing visit we had here!! Elsy Was an amazing server..attentive..on time with our drinks and happy to find me the right size shirt to purchase as a souvenir. The back courtyard is so nice..breezy and plenty of fans to circulate the cigar smoke if anyone is partaking. We will return!
We recently had our fire station Christmas party at Ball & Chain, and the entire evening was exceptional. We had a private area reserved for about 25 people along with an open bar, and everything went off without a hitch. A special thank-you to Samantha and Rachel, who coordinated and hosted our group with genuine warmth and professionalism. They made sure every detail was handled smoothly from the moment we arrived. I also want to highlight Frederick, our bartender for the night. His service was fantastic—fast, attentive, and friendly—which made the night even better for everyone. Ball & Chain provided an incredible atmosphere, great service, and an overall seamless experience. Highly recommended for group events or celebrations.
Amazing, Authentic, and a real taste of home. If you want a tase a Cuba without going there this is the place for it. Drinks and food were on so delicious. Everything makes you feel like you stepped inside your own little world! I highly recommend stopping in here if you have a chance while you're in Miami!
We stopped here mid afternoon to take a break in little Havana and have a few drinks. The live music was great, and service and seating at the bar was a 10. Creative cocktail list and the few that we had were all very good. All the staff we interacted with super friendly and helpful. Can’t say enough good things about the music - the crowd gathers outside for a reason.
We had the best margaritas here – WOW! 🍹 And the quesadillas were amazing – as well as the empanadas! 🥟 Such a cute and traditional Cuban restaurant. The people are truly warm and welcoming, and the music just makes you want to move along with it. 🎶💃 Great music, great staff – definitely worth a visit!
We had an incredible time here for my friend's bachelor party. Lia was such a kind and gracious host. Our server (Pamela) was also so attentive and thoughtful. I had only come here to dance and have drinks before, but now I can say that I really recommend the food. You can't go to Calle Ocho without going here!
Te hace sentir realmente a gusto. ¡Muy recomendable!
Excelente lugar Ball & Chain.
Ball & Chain is an absolute must when in Little Havana! The atmosphere is vibrant, full of history, and bursting with energy. The live music creates the perfect vibe, and the dance class we joined was so much fun — a true Miami experience. We were also impressed with the vegetarian options on the menu, which made it easy for everyone in our group to enjoy. The highlight of our night was definitely the bartender Franklin — he’s a true showman behind the bar, super friendly, and made our experience unforgettable. Between the cocktails, the food, the music, and the dancing, Ball & Chain is more than just a bar — it’s an experience that captures the spirit of Miami. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend!
This is a beautiful venue! I love that there’s a courtyard and the inside portion stays cool. The courtyard is shaded enough so you don’t feel too hot. The live music is great. The dance class was not quite what I expected. It’s really just a leader whose objective is to get everyone up and moving. It’s really fast paced but fun. But yeah, don’t attend expecting to get an actual class experience. Once the “class” is over the dance floor is open for everyone to dance. Everyone seemed to be professionals so I just did a little two step in the corner. The other thing I’d say about this place is that the drinks were a bit expensive and they have an automatic 20% gratuity so $25 for what was basically an average drink. Nothing spectacular about it.
Live band rocked, daytime dancing, pineapple ceviche was delicious, didn't like how you can get kicked out of table just because you don't order food. Not like the drinks aren't pricey! Fun place.
We had gone there to enjoy live band. It was supposed to start at 10pm but started post 11. That way we missed the performance. The food was good. Loved the rice and beans combo. Go there if u have a lot of time in ur hand and you want a laid back feeling. The servers take their own time to come so no hurrying up. You have lot of place to sit but surely need booking
We ate at this place for lunch. The atmosphere was very nice. The live band was a wonderful touch. I wasn't overly fond of my meal in regards the chicken and the beans. The spices were a little heavy-handed.
The restaurant had live Cuban music 🎶 and tables open which meant it was time to stop and get some lunch. We got seated and the waitress came over shortly after to take our order. We got an appetizer and some lunch dishes. The music was wonderful hearing the live performance! The music was well performed and made the lunch grand. The food was good and we had great meal.
Excelente lugar.
Little Havana is such a cute and charming area, filled with so much life. I stopped into the iconic Ball & Chain for drinks. It was a bit confusing at first, as I wasn’t sure who to approach despite having a reservation. Once seated, the table was sticky and the glassware didn’t seem the cleanest. That said, the live music was phenomenal and such a vibe truly the highlight of the experience. The drinks were just okay. While it’s a great spot for live music, it isn’t quite my personal vibe overall.
First, I am a local with over 50+ years of living in Miami. I have also extensively travelled the world. I have never been to this place before but remember reading about the legal issue between the owners & city commissioner, so intrigued about this location. Every New Years Day we like to do something local, so we went to "Calle Ocho" and walked the area. I was impressed how vibrant and active this area of Miami has become. The sights, sounds and smell are exactly what Miami has to offer. YES, it is geared to be a "tourist trap" but you have a nice time in a safe and family-oriented environment. One of my five friends said let's try "Ball & Chain" for a quick drink and maybe some appetizers... She had been here before and said the atmosphere was cool. It is a good size location with Cuban/Latin rustic decor and an open dining area surrounding a large center bar. There is a small stage to the side, and a band was playing live Latin music. There is an outside smaller bar at the rear with several tables & chairs and a very interesting pineapple shaped stage which was not in use. We went to the back since the music was annoyingly loud. We were looking for a place to sit and asked the female bartender if we could grab one of the open tables. She quickly said NO that's only if you're eating here. I don't know if I am eating... Haven't even looked at a menu? We were fortunate that other patrons at the bar slid down a couple of seats so most of us could sit down. THANK YOU :) I ordered two mojitos and one mango mojito. The other two friends were already turned off by not being able to sit down and relax. The place was very busy and a lot of energy, but everything seemed to be controlled chaos. There is no one to greet you or aid/direct you to seating, drinks, food, etc. The bartender didn't know if she had mango nectar and I watched as who I assume to be the manager struggled with the point-of-sale (POS). I observed the bartender make the mojitos and she did an excellent job, and they did not disappoint. We decided not to eat anything because we were not able to sit down and enjoy our food. We hanged out for about 15 min and then paid the bill. Mojitos were good but outrageously priced! WOW $$$$$$ This place is cool for the transient traveler or tourist looking for that quick Miami vibe, but way too expensive, chaotic and hectic for a local.
The best thing about this place is the live music! We visited on a Sunday afternoon for drinks and lunch. Disappointed with the mojito, which tasted artificial. Food portion sizes were good, and arrived relatively quickly. Staff member came over multiple times and it made us feel like they wanted the table sooner than we were ready. We felt the drinks and food were expensive for what we had, total bill was over $300 for 4 people. The atmosphere was great and the Cuban music was definitely worth going for. Maybe better to visit for a drink and to enjoy the musicians than a meal.
Service is big deal to me. Woman at the front who sat us was great! And she sang beautifully with the live music! Our service was not great when waiting for drinks, I wasnt asked at all after my first order. When she ran by she focused on only one of person and didn't stay to ask rest of us. Great atmosphere, great music, really wanted to stick around but just didn't feel welcome.
Had lunch at this place when my husband and I visited Little Havana. I actually planned to eat at the other restaurant but we liked the atmosphere and the live music here. After getting seated, it took about 15-20 minutes until our sever came take the order for the drink. Then another 10-15 minutes until we could order (we had to call someone to let them know we were ready) 45 minutes after we still didn’t get our food and had to ask another waitress to check for our order as we saw other table that arrived after got food. We had to wait another 15 minutes until our food arrived. For the whole time Our server never came to check on us which is very frustrating because we were automatically charged 18% gratuities and 7% service charges for almost no service received. We ordered famous mojito (good), Cuban sandwich (ok) and vaca fritta (ok).
We loved the live music and the overall atmosphere. However, the way that they up-charged was probably the most ridiculous out of any restaurants we visited in Miami. They charge for the service fee and would add a tip on top of that. Meaning, you are being forced to pay for the tip on their service fee as well. The drinks weren’t bad, but they weren’t particularly memorable either.
My issue is not the food or service. They were decent enough. My issue was how much I was charged… highway robbery! I went in during happy hour based on the huge signs outside and lively music. The woman bartender nods when I ask for a happy hour menu and hands me the regular menu. I was confused since everything looks the same exact price- where are the happy hour drinks? So I ask again and she points to the drink menu telling me to pick a drink for happy hour. So I’m assuming I might get a buck or two off the drink, right? That’s kinda of the whole POINT of happy hour! Cur the bill… $16 for the cocktail. Then tax and the “ suggested tip”, along with a $2 service fee ( at first). I try to flag the girl down to pay the bill and she tells me to scan the bar code and pay. Hmm… okay? Now I get charged a $4 service fee ( Yes… they add more money to use a freaking app!) $24 for a drink at happy hour? Never again! I could get 2 or 3 drinks elsewhere
Disappointing experience at Ball & Chain We visited Ball & Chain in Little Havana hoping to enjoy a vibey drink to round off an otherwise great experience in the area, but unfortunately it was very disappointing. On arrival, there was no clear direction from the host. We struggled to find space at the bar, and although there were several tables available, all were marked as reserved. After asking multiple waitresses for guidance, we were eventually directed to the host, who informed us we couldn’t have a table due to reservations. We ordered two cocktails at a very sticky bar and were surprised to see a large service charge and tip already added — totalling $47 for two drinks. Almost immediately after being served, the band went on break, leaving us with drinks and nowhere to sit and no band to enjoy. When a couple left a table they had been drinking at, we sat down briefly, only to be rudely and confrontationally removed by the hostesses, stating it was reserved. The interaction felt unnecessarily argumentative and unwelcoming. Overall, the lack of organisation, poor communication, unexpected charges, and unfriendly service really took away from what should have been an enjoyable stop. Sadly not the experience we were expecting.
We came here and flew in from all over to celebrate a birthday. We paid for a table for 10, minimum $300 bottle service. My friends husband had on leather sandals and they would not let him in for his own birthday! We explained that he was the birthday person and what’s going on since we already had to pay the minimum…. They said for him to come back and he could come in…. Only to turn him away a second time after he drove all the way from Miami Beach, again!!! Prior to leaving we checked the website, chatGPT, and called to see about a dress code and NOTHING is listed for a dress code on the site or otherwise. The owner and management are absolute TRASH for this. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this to anyone. The music and band also sucked pretty bad. Food was decent for those of us who got to eat. We spent $400 and didn’t even get to have half of our crew there for the birthday celebration. It was god awful.
I was really disappointed with this place because it had been on my list of spots to visit in Miami for a while. We walked in and headed straight to the patio. The music was great, so we went up to the bar to grab a couple of drinks and enjoy the vibe. Unfortunately, the experience at the bar completely changed the mood. The bartender was rolling silverware when we approached, and when we asked for drinks, he didn’t acknowledge us at all until he finished what he was doing. He seemed irritated and uninterested in serving us. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and assumed he might have just been having a long day. We ordered two beers and a mojito. I started dancing a bit and had only taken one sip of my mojito when the vibration from the music caused the drink to slide off the bar and spill. The bartender saw it happen and asked if I had even taken a drink yet. I said no, and he told me not to worry and that he’d make me another one. Unfortunately, the replacement drink never came. Instead, he served four other people, grabbed a plate of food someone brought him, and started eating. It was really disappointing. We’re not tourists—we’re locals who are always looking for good spots to grab a drink and dance, but this experience definitely left a bad impression.
