Beaches Bar & Grill Miami Reviews
Went here for lunch with a friend, I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and she ordered the BLT, and we both got sweet potato fries. It was really good!! Our waitress was really kind as well. Glad we walked around and found this little hole in the wall
Food was Lovely and very fresh!! Very generous portions at a super fair price. We were served by Heather and she was lovely and very welcoming. Affordable, lovely service. Would come again :)
The chef was attentive, professional and spoke to us to help with a the menu. He made us a great huge flavorful Cesar salad, exceptional french fries and top notch burger. We will come back because the food was great and the location is excellent as well. Thank you!
Food was great. Our server was amazing and sweet. Only thing is that the menu isn’t updated. We both ordered the chicken wrap and it cost about $13.00 (menu said $11.00). Gratuity/tip is already included. Nice mom and pop shop/vintage vibe. It’s inside the Lexington hotel. A very short walk if you’re in the south beach area near FAENA.
We are from Atlanta we are accustom to sport bar but The food presentation was beyond our expectation for the cozy type of place and the taste was really good !! I had the seafood paella and my wife had the Beach our server was friendly and good music. I would definitely go back
Best value for your buck in Miami! Can almost guarantee it! Now this bar might not be for everyone, but if you are looking for good food, cheap drinks and awesome service this is the place. It is located in the basement of a hotel (who doesn't love basement bars?!?!) And definitely a dive. The bartenders were absolutely awesome, they were having so much fun working and were so easy to have a conversation with. Beers were only $6.50 and I feel like that's a hell of a deal for Miami. Kitchen is open until 2am, perfect for anyone with late night munchies. The bartenders controlled the music and it was a great mix of country, R&B, old and new. It's not a 5-star restaurant or bar but I would recommend this place to anyone, even if it's just for a beer. If we are ever back in Miami we would definitely make it back there!
It's a bit of a drive bar, but we had a great time. We wanted something unpretentious, and this hit the spot. Jaime - our bartender was super sweet and was fabulous. We did not eat, so can't comment on food. Atmosphere was lively but not obnoxious. If we are ever back in this area - we will definitely be back.
Saby the bartender was amazing, my lemon drop was perfect!
The servers here are awesome. We came in as a party of 10 around 1230 am at night. Ladies were more than accommodating and actually partied with us and kept the whole vibe very lively. Food is good, especially the jerk chicken rolls. 3 out of our 4 days we were here from our 4 day weekend.
Reviews said slow service, but we were hungry and it was close to our hotel. Got the mahi tacos, pork tacos, and the nachos. Everything was AMAZING and came out in great time! The margaritas we got were great, and the waitress was super sweet! I forgot her name- she said she was originally from jersey! If you can go with the flow, this was such a good bite after a long day of traveling!
Our bartender DeeAnn was absolutely phenomenal. She was so sweet and fun. We wandered in looking for a quick bite and drink and it just was a wonderful experience. The food was amazing, i had the shrimp wrap! Food was so good we ate there two days in a row. Thanks Again DeeAnn
Annamarie took care of our crew like nothing else. She was on top of things and was fun.
I was hesitant at first because of the lower reviews, but I’m so glad I gave it a chance. From start to finish, my experience was fantastic. Great service, friendly staff, and everything exceeded my expectations. Sometimes reviews don’t tell the full story – in my case, I found exactly what I was hoping for (and more). Give it a try before you judge based on stars alone! AND THEYRE OPEN TIL 5am THATS GREAT!!!!
Absolutely amazing service delicious food and even within walking distance of the the beach!
As we came in looking for a night cap we ended up staying because of the amazing bartender ( Sucsy) the drinks were spot on and she sold us an appetizer because we had been drinking and probably needed it anyway, and it was incredible! (Jamaican salsa, egg rolls amazing!)
We stopped in just from walking by. The floor was quite unclean looking but the tables and bar were very clean. Also the fish tanks were very dirty. In their defense, they didn’t appear to have fish in them. But the food was very good! We ordered 3 different dishes and all were very tasty. So if you are looking for a casual place with good food this is a great choice.
It was an amazing bar! Mickey754 and Susie made my evening unforgettable — it was so much fun and truly heartwarming. Sending love from Barbie!
Stopped in for an early dinner with my family. The place reminded me of a dive bar and was a little hesitant to eat there. The server was also the bartender. She was very cheerful in greeting us. Took our drink order immediately. My wife wanted a pretty creative drink and boy did she deliver. She joked around with my son helping him relax a little. Once we ordered our food, it did not take long to get it. Food was amazing. My son is a picky eater, but cleaned his entire plate. Not sure what I enjoyed more, the server or the food. Overall it was a great experience. Will definitely go back when I am back in town.
From first appearance, I was skeptical, but then walking inside and has a horrible smell of sewage . It made me very hard to sit down and eat so I couldn’t do it. I tried again the next day and the smell was overwhelming. Highly don’t recommend
I was in Miami south beach for a conference and enjoyed my time Saby is amazing bartender and care about her customers if your ever in south beach Miami Florida make sure you visit my friend Saby at Beach Bar and Grill.
Absolutely loved our visit to Beaches Bar And Grill! The food was super tasty, fresh, and full of flavor. The staff were warm, fast, and made us feel really welcome. The beachy, laid-back atmosphere was perfect for a chill evening. A great place to relax, enjoy great food, and have a fun time. Highly recommend!
If you want to find a diamond in the rough, this is the place. It's on the corner of 43rd and Collins. It looks like your walking into a basement but your on your way to the gold mine of food. I had a chicken ceaser wrap with fries and both were so delicious! The waitress was very nice. Recommend highly!
This is my favorite bar in Miami anyone who says otherwise is not from here. It’s the best bar tenders I’ve ever met so sweet and kind I love them so much!
Didn't go for the bar experience but a late night pick-up. Pretty standard pizza and nachos except the sauce on the pizza was a hit and the seasonings on the meat in the nachos was great it gave our meals that little something extra. Service was good.
The wait was a bit long but worth it. The food was so good. We took the mojo chicken, glad we only took one cauz it was big. The pictures can speak. The waitress was nice thank you.
We ordered take-away from here and honestly it was great, everything was bagged and ready within 20-30 minutes. The folks tending the bar were very nice when they talked to us, but it was definitely an air of 'oh that's so-and-so's to-go order, don't look at them' sort of thing (like I actually heard one of them say not to worry about us because we were a take-away order). I don't think that's an issue exactly (bartenders want to focus on the people there to drink! That's the money!) but if we had wanted to sit and grab a drink we would have been ignored for quite a minute, I think. Tip is included in the bill itself, however it's only 15% so do with that what you will. I could not find an easily accessible bathroom (no obvious signs, perhaps around a corner?) to check out, so at least we weren't staying. There are lots of steps down into the bar, and I did not see any accessible alternatives to get down into the building. I don't think I would like to sit down and eat here, just due to the general atmosphere of 'loud, cramped divebar', but the food was great and I'm glad we got it! The portions were very good for the prices, especially compared to a lot of other local alternatives. (4 stars instead of 5 due to cleanliness of the building. I really wouldn't want to sit down here because I'm very picky regardless of what kind of establishment it is, but the food was worth going in to check it out!)
If you’re looking for a dive bar, this is it. The place seems to be under renovation. They were under staffed when we went and it affected our experience. They’re trying their best and they’re working hard, they just got too slow to cover the whole floor. Otherwise, they have plenty of TVs playing different games, so it might be a great place to just catch a game and drink some beer. The burgers were decent. If you’re staying at Lexington, it isn’t connected to the hotel and you have to step out.
The Food was great and the service was good too. The atmosphere is okay. But definitely good to have good food!
This has the look of a dive sports bar, but the food was surprisingly good! The French fries had a perfect crunch, while being soft and pillowy inside. The pizza had a crunchy crust and the perfect sauce/cheese ratio. The gyro was delicious, but for some reason they put shredded cheddar on it. I think the food may come from the hotel kitchen. Nice place!
Very catchy “beaches” and not beach bar and grill. Food was ok, not the greatest and the girls hustle to get your food and drink fast. Joe (a girl) was polite enough and had very nice attention. I hope this place get serious about service and quality. Has a lot of potential.
One waitress ,one cook, many tables. Waitress was overwhelmed but was very pleasant and did fine under the circumstances . Food was mediocre. Cuban pork chunks fatty and bland. Chicken sandwich good
It is true that it smells a bit funky when you come in and the music is a bit loud, but the food is very nice and it is conveniently open late. The burgers are gorgeous, my favorite is the monster burger. Kitchen is a bit slow, more than 35 min for a burger 2 days in a row
Would be five stars but giving it 3 because 18% of the tips goes to the owner of the bar and not the hard working servers here! Suzie was a great host to me and made the experience so much fun! First time going to this bar and loved it! The servers here deserve better. Shoutout Suzie my favorite bartender!!
I didn't realize that this is a (very) dive bar. There is a photo in the reviews of a very nice restaurant that is not this place. There is also a photo of a hut facing/near the beach, that is far from this subterranean location. There is a very loud jukebox and some kind of major construction going on. The quality of the food was mixed. I had the jerk chicken egg rolls, which were very good. I also ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which was very basic and flavorless. I couldn't find any trace of the spicy mayo it mentions, so I put a little bit of ketchup on it. Normally I would have requested some on the side, but the service was not friendly and this didn't appear like a place where that request would be well received. It does appear that others who were there know it's a dive, but even as a dive bar, the ratings I gave here are accurate.
AWESOME experience bc of our server Suzie. Docked some stars bc part of the tip i gave Suzie went to the owner who wasn’t even here ??? Unnecessary and lowkey thievery. Not right at all. If my boss took any of my tips when she wasnt here i would be upset. THANK YOU to my queen Suzie💚
friendly staff and a nice place to get a drink without lines. Very disappointed to hear there’s automatically an 18% gratuity which does not go to the staff. If the manager/owners are seriously taking 18% without it going to the servers, that is a horrible business practice
The chili cheese fries and wings were decent. Reasonably priced dive bar. The service is not the best but they are nice. You'll just be sitting there and no one offers to get you a drink! 3 bar tender girls are great at ignoring customers! It's actually kinda funny!
Came here to check out a good spot with reasonable price food after spending a lot at the overpriced resorts and Boardwalk. This place definitely had a weird smell when we first walked in. We sat at the bar. The server was nice. I ordered the marinated chicken and a side house salad my husband ordered steak tacos. The waiter asked me what kind of dressing did I want for my salad I told her Cesar and I also told her I didn’t want any croutons. She assured me that it wouldn’t have anything and it was just a house salad however when the food came out there was croutons all throughout I’m allergic to croutons/gluten . I had to pick out all of the croutons… Also, I did not order a salad, but my food came out as a big salad with the grilled chicken in it and tomatoes. The drinks were good. We ordered two lemonades that apparently she told us was freshly squeeze, but it took forever to get to us. Overall, the food wasn’t bad, but definitely overpriced if we’re talking about quality.
The amount of chicken on 2 kabobs was childish at best, I was a fan of this bar in the past, but $7 drafts while i wait for a box of vegetables and rice (with ketchup and mayo, what kind of kabobs are you guys eating? I seen tzatziki sauce on your menu what gives?)
*prices on the menu may not be the actual price on the bill - staff advises they cannot fix price issues I hate giving a 2 star but this place needs some owners/management intervention! So much potential, but mostly dive bar meets 1990s red lobster decor on Collins (not wheelchair ♿️ accessible) -Soda guns need cleaning and CO2 The line tastes moldy The soda is flat We tried cola and sprite and had to send our drinks back and get a canned mixer only (forgetting, we later got waters and same) Tito's and Captain Morgan are $10-12 per shot. So double, tall mixed drinks are $20-24/each. Normal Miami prices 🥴 -The bar edge (where forearms rest) is sticky and may need to be stripped - not a drink spilled sticky, but build up sticky (former 12 year industry worker) - Be warned, during regular rain, the floors flood... Near women's & men's room at least an inch of water - do not wear sandles or low heeled shoes - your feet will be in the water. The food is SO GOOD! Somebody's uncle was putting their food in the food - seasoned to perfection! We chose crabcakes, fried mozzarella, and jerk chicken eggrolls. The portions are fair for pricepoint! The service was A-1 though and the staff played AWESOME music. The two women who were working were so helpful, prompt and fun (aside from the pricing issue) I would return just for the food and their service.
“Dive” bar atmosphere but clean, server was attentive and friendly, prices were average, food was less than average. Margherita pizza was made incorrectly, coconut shrimp was ok- possibly out of a box.
We ate here twice and the service wasn't terrible the first time but the second was really bad. The fried pork chunks and mojo chicken weren't bad. The spaghetti bulgonese was awful. Linguine noodles covered in chili with some raw peppers and onions mixed in and a foot long hair. Also be aware the add a 15% gratuity to all tickets automatically but also give you a slip to add a tip making it very easy to accidentally double tip. The only real upsides to this place is that it's not busy and the AC works well. For beers it's great, for a meal, you can find better options.
We thought it was great place during day for lunch but after went at night and was totally opposite;service wasnt very good, beers were hot
First off the service was horrible. The waitresses are not trained or really care about the customers. Both times I was there the waitresses looked high as hell (one was definitely not on weed). They also force gratuity. Definitely not cool when you want to tip based on service. Both bathrooms didn't have working soap dispensers, so they just took off the tops for you to dip your hands in lol. Yeah no lie. Plus both bathrooms were flooded with water. The food on the other hand was amazing. If you can get the right order, you will not be let down. Who ever the cook is, they are wasting thier time/talent at this place. I'm definitely never going back, but I'd like to know where that cook ends up.
Uncooked eggs and slow service. (7 people there and half were employees) Order a cappuccino you get a coffee with milk in it. Ask for waters with your meal and get nothing. 18% automatic tip added to every bill, so you can't do anything but get nothing you order and like it!
The hamburger was good, the fries were terrible. I kept smelling my shirt because something smelled sour, turns out it was my beer glass. Smelled like an old dish rag. They told me beers were 3.50 for happy hour, I was charged full price. When I got the bill I noticed that the tip was included. I know that happens with large groups but 1 person? When I paid in cash the waitress asked if I needed change. Absolutely, I don't tip twice.
Got 2 salads. Honey mustard was gross, tasted like mayo a mustard only. Caesar dressing lacked flavor. Chicken was decent. Restrooms were shabby and run down. Black water in urinal, graffiti on walls and mirrors and hard water stains all over faucet. If I had seen this before I picked up order I wouldn't have got food there.
Smash Burger - with a grilled frozen patty and not two smashed patties Mushroom Swish Burger - Had no mushrooms, with a grilled frozen patty. Bleu Cheese burger also had a “smash burger” patty Fries were 2 molecules away from cardboard. Nachos are a very large portion Margarita was pretty good, not too sweet. Bad with separating food while cooking for people with allergies
Our Bartender/Server was absolutely fantastic. The food... not so much. We ordered shrimp Mac n cheese, crab cakes, and fried shrimp. All of which were absolutely terrible. The shrimp Mac n cheese taste like it was made with nacho cheese sauce. The crab cake was soggy with no crisp on the outside with dry and bland inside, and the fried shrimp was seasoned with air and water. Not a spec of salt... pepper... nothing. With 2 drinks, the bill came to about $125. I felt like I had a $50 experience. But.... again.... my server was the highlight and THE ONLY reason I didn't complain.
Welp, I was staying at the hotel and stumbled upon this joint. You first walk in an experience the amazing “aroma. “ I have no idea what the horrid smell is, but it stiiiiiiinks. The bartender was more interested in drinking then serving. If you’re not a local here, don’t bother coming here. The bartender who was “serving” us, shift had ended and asked us to close out. 4 drinks and one plate of food , $90 later. She left, and the three other waitress had no care on refilling our drinks or asking if food was alright. Instead, they mingled with locals and drank. The bathrooms were disgusting. Ordered spaghetti and that was the only light at the end of this tunnel. The food was decent. So whoever is in the kitchen, good job. Seriously. Other then that, if you can avoid this place. Do it.
Came for dinner. We were the only ones here (red flag but gave it a try) obviously you can see waitress was more interested in drinking at the bar. Took forever to get food (again, only ones here) she had to come back three times to ask what we ordered. Finally wrote it down the third time. Guess, what. Somehow blackened chicken breast dinner turned into a Maui Maui sandwich. She said “this is the sandwich you ordered” lol, I didn’t even order a sandwich and not even the right animal if I did. Anyway too much wrong with the order to list. the bill was not accurate. Had to bring the cook out to get it corrected. I paid, left a $0 tip (first time in my life I have ever done that) This place was bad enough to put a review up and warn others.
The chairs were breaking. The tacos weren't even warm. The waitress was nice to us. The atmosphere was damp and quiet but loud due to the music.
Place is a dump. And that in itself is ok, it is what it is, but then the bartender gives me the bill with the 18% service charge added, and tries to say it's not their tip. Trying to hustle for additional tip. Real 3rd world crap. I'll never go back.
This place is a scam. I was lured by the seemingly low price. We were three people and ordered 3 burgers, 2 orange juice and a little bottle of water. The burgers were good, except for the bread being very soft and it got broken mid-eating. The orange juice was okay. Then the bill came, and we found out that there was an 18% surcharge for every item. Moreover, we never expected 9$ for an orange juice and 4$ for a small water; they were not on the menu, but given the prices of the food, that was absolutely a surprise. The place was a bit shabby and dirty. The woman at the counter was a bit impatient when the card wasn't working at payment.
I ordered chicken wings with blue cheese. This is like 95% water with a tiny bit of mayonnaise. Would you eat this blue cheese?
I’m a sucker for a good dive bar. This is a great place for a reasonably priced drink on Miami Beach. That said, absolutely do not order food. Pizza and cheese sticks. Can’t really go wrong, well here you can. Chase sticks tasted like they used rotten cheese. Pizza made me deathly ill. Absolutely disgusting. Drinks ONLY!!
HORRIBLE doesn’t even begin to explain the time I had! My family of 7 and I decided we’d grab a late night bite to eat after leaving the go kart place we visited. Upon arrival of the restaurant we were quickly seated, good vibes no problem all good. After we ordered, about 15 mins into waiting for the food the waitress came back & said they couldn’t make the Quesadilla that I ordered because the grill was shut off. Ok No problem I won’t eat I’ll just let my family enjoy their meal. After about 50 mins we we got our food, (Keep in mind there’s no one in the restaurant part of the Bar & restaurant.) we were the only ones eating. Everyone else was at the bar being attended to by the bartender. The well done burger we ordered was completely pink on the inside, (Problem), the Buffalo Crispy Chicken sandwich is Grilled Chx W/ buffalo sauce spread on it (problem) also ordered a buffalo chicken wrap, it fell apart because the tortilla was so dried out & old. Upon asking for a manager we were told “ we don’t have one here “ okay we then proceeded to lay out the problems we were experiencing. The ladies were horrible at problem solving & customer service, i returned all of our food & told them to take care of the bill because this is all your guy’s fault. There biggest complaint of us was that “ we didn’t pay for our 3 watered down soda’s we ordered. & because of that they called me a “thief”, upon being insulted I replied “call the police I’ll wait for them to get here” “this is not a “dine n dash, this is not theft” I said to the staff. This was nothing like they made it seem. I really feel sad for the owner of this establishment. SMH! & they said to me “ you’ll never be able to come back “ trust & believe me “I’ll never be back”
This place is a hole in the wall wouldn’t recommend not even my enemies. Drinks are watered down, pizza tastes like cardboard with cheese and sauce on it. Stay away
Nasty food egregiously overpriced, served in plastic. Charged me 36 for a vegan pasta when the chicken pasta was 23. Charged tip twice, and the waitress kept lying about it. Total fraud.
I did not eat here as the place smelled of raw sewage. There is an aquarium overtaken with Black Mold as you approach from the stairwell before entering the bar.
ZERO STARS. TWO AND A HALF HOURS WAITED FOR FOOD WHEN THE PLACE HAD ONLY ONE OTHER TABLE BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE. This is my first time ever reviewing anything but this was the most insanely awful place I’ve ever been to. We sat down with a table of 6 and the place only had one other table. We didn’t even get looked at for 20 minutes and we finally were given only 3 waters the entire dinner that we had to share. Three of us sat at the bar and didn’t get a drink for 30 minutes. We asked for another round multiple times and were blown off. It took 2 HOURS to get our food. We finally got our food but not all of us had water to drink and didn’t get any until we were paying. No napkins, no silverware, all tables had empty sauce bottles. I cannot believe they are still open. To top it all off our one round of shots were $45 because we didn’t know she pulled the most expensive bottle of tequila they had without asking. They waitress was missing the entire time in a dead restaurant. This was the most bizarre restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Do not attend. This place shouldn’t have their doors open to the public.
The worst food ever. 😫 I had the coconut shrimp. I didn't taste any coconut. The shrimp were very inconsistent. Some were large, others small. No flavor whatsoever. There was a person vaping pot. The smell overwhelmed us. The fries were clearly frozen and fried. No flavor there either.
Food was bad and service was even worse. Do yourself a favor don't go there. Plus they added almost 20% to EACH item instead of a tip option without even letting you know.
Sun Dec 30, 2 am. Couldn’t get service at the bar. She finally came over and didn’t even apologize. We ordered like it was a McDonald’s drive through and didn’t even ask if we wanted a drink... while we were sitting at the bar. After we ordered, we realized tip is included and this girl didn’t deserve a penny. So we bailed and went for a five minute walk to the Tavern 24/7. Very glad we did. They treated us like humans.... by speaking words to us and taking our order. You know, like a restaurant. Just...beware. Don’t expect service.
The worst service I’ve ever encountered in any bar, and I’m not picky. Place was mostly empty but it took over 30 minutes to get street tacos and 45 minutes to get an order of fries! Servers aren’t attentive, although they do check on you once an hour. The servers were nice enough and faintly apologized for the inexplicable delays but don’t seem to recognize how poor this service is. Sad place.
Oh my goodness..the waitress was horrible. Took forever to come to our table. Drinks took forever. We tried to go get them but the bartender wouldn't give them to us. We got 1 tiny glass of water when we asked for 2, and had to ask again to get that. Blood Mary was yuk. The coconut shrimp was good. Had to go to the bar to get the check. She was not checking on us, or stopping by our table. The receipt was ridiculous!! $14 for a horrible drink, and added %15 for a tip fir absolutely horrible service. We were going to order a main dish, but after all that nonsense..no!!
The food was terrible, the street tacos had a disgusting aftertaste, fries were clearly SOAKED in oil, they used cooked ham in a BLT. Bathrooms were worse than the 3rd world country I was just in. When I politely told the bartender available she made no move to clean them even though there were 2 of them and only us in there. Knats were flying on my food. If I could rate this negative numbers I would!! We left all of our food still there after a few bites in the hopes we don’t get food poisoning from what is supposed to be a 1st world country. First time in my LIFE not leaving a tip.
Blackened mahi sandwich was great but service is super slow (like most places in Miami gratuity is included so service is bare minimum and zero smiles or friendliness) i was at the bar near the cooking line and I've seen that cooks never used glows, never washed their hands, not even after taking out the trash or scratching his had (too bad that i was already done with my sandwich)
I would never eat at this place ever again! When we got there the place was empty! We was sitting there for 30 mins before any of the bartenders greeted us. And took three hours to get our food! I constantly had to ask the bartenders about our food and drinks. Service was beyond horrible and our food was cold. What they don't tell u they automatically add and gratuity for only two people's wish they didn't deserve! I will never recommended this place to no one nor eat there again!
Went this afternoon and had the worst service. It was slow and there were only two tables with people (us included) and two people at the bar. My boyfriend and I only got salads and it took 30+ minutes. Salads arrived and it was DRENCHED with dressing. Also I’m a vegetarian and asked for the Caesar wrap without chicken. There were tiny pieces in the salad like as if they messed up and tried picking it out after the fact. The second table I mentioned with a party of around 8 received their food so much sooner than we did. Waitress did not even check in during that 30+ minute wait to try and ease our thoughts. Would NOT recommend.
Food was not good. Place is so dirty!!’ T 2 burgers 2 miller lights 2 absolute and soda water . 100$!!! They have a service charge this is not for server. Charged 5$ For mixer ! (Soda water)
The bartender didn't know how to make drink orders straight from the drink menu she handed us, there was only 1 drink menu getting passed around between all patrons, she got half of our food order wrong, couldn't split our bill, and when we finally got the check and tried to pay and leave she disappeared to chat with her coworkers instead of running our card. There was an 18% gratuity added to each and every item ordered on the itemized bill. The food (when we finally got it) was mediocre at best and the drinks (that she could figure out how to make) were overpriced and disappointing. Won't be returning here during our stay
We were staying at a hotel nearby, so decided to venture out and came across this restaurant. Menu looks decent, but after my son took a bite out of his pepperoni pizza, he said it was disgusting. I couldn’t be mad for him wasting food because we all had non-flavored food. Next night, ate at our hotel restaurant and trust me, I’d rather spend more money on better food!
I ordered mozzarella sticks and they came out cold and mushy—clearly left sitting in the window for too long. When I brought it up, the server tried to convince me that’s how they’re supposed to be served. Seriously? Cold cheese sticks? It felt like they were more interested in defending bad service than making it right. Really disappointing experience.
This was our first night here and wanted to grab a quick bite before going to bed. Saw reviews that it was a dive bar and decided to go here. The food was okay - prices are standard from what we are use to back home - no one was in there - yes I understand it’s a Monday. The main reason I’m giving it such a poor review was the sleazy bartender placed a 15 percent gratuity and then asked for a tip. There was two of us. Not a group of ten. Also she tried to hide it - gave us the clover machine to pay before give us our receipt.
Not Worth the Visit We had a disappointing experience at this bar, starting with the decrepit entrance. The aquarium near the door was dark green, neglected, and added to the unpleasant smell of the place—a clear red flag we probably should’ve heeded. Still, my wife and I decided to stay since we weren’t planning to eat, just grab a drink. Initially, the young bartender seemed friendly enough, although she messed up a simple drink order twice. Mistakes happen, so we let it slide. When it came time to settle the bill, things went downhill fast. She first quoted us $25 for two shots of Captain Morgan, a domestic beer, and a Sprite, which already felt a bit steep but manageable. Then, as soon as I handed her the cash, the total mysteriously changed to $45. Confused, I asked her to break it down, and the math still didn’t add up. According to the menu: • Sprite: $4 • Two Captain shots: $12 • Beer: $7 That’s $23—not $45. When I pointed this out, she insisted on the higher total. At that point, I refused to pay anything more than the $25 I had initially handed over. I even took back my $5 tip due to the blatant attempt to overcharge us. This place feels like it’s preying on tourists with shady practices. Between the rundown atmosphere, overpriced drinks, and dishonest billing, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
We only ordered four breakfast but they insisted gave us five and let us even pay for it even though it’s their mistake for not confirming the order again after everything was ordered. They automatically charged 18% service fee even there’s only four people and took them more than 30 minutes to prepare the food. The silverwares are even dirty when they were given to us. The restrooms are very dirty and very inconvenient to use. I usually take a picture of the food and we always take a group picture for remembrance; but we didn’t take a single one picture except for the receipt in this review.
If negative stars was possible, this place would definitely get them. The food was trash and the service from the bartender was even worse. Also had to send food back because the menu was not clear on what all came in it, had to send away due to food allergy and was still charged. Will never be back at this dump again.
AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THR PLAGUE! Was hoping to find a cheap dive bar to get a break from all the overpriced resorts and grab some average food... This place was not cheap, and we did not finish our meals. Other than the fries, everything was "off", everyone's meat (burrito, ribs, burger) had a sour taste like it had been rotting in a walk in freezer for months before being microwaved and served. Silverware was dirty. Well drinks were overpriced. Nothing behind the bar looked clean at all. JUST DON'T!
Worst service I’ve ever experienced.. We had to wait ten minutes to be greeted/seated. Our waitress (Jay) was the only server and seemed overwhelmed. We ordered waters and that took another ten minutes to come out. The waitress was very forgetful. Lemon slices were in our waters with the produce sticker still on them! My dad ordered a salad that never came, our burgers/sandwiches were missing cheese/bacon, and the burgers were not seasoned at all. Never got my extra condiments i ordered. The server is guaranteed a 15% gratuity but it was undeserving. Every customer who was seated in the restaurant looked unhappy. Four additional servers came into work while we were there who all stood around vaping and talking and didn’t help. Music choice was trashy. The Jerk egg rolls were good 🤷🏽♀️
Took awhile to get waited on. Ordered 2waters with a lot of ice. Mine arrived with no ice. That should have been the clue. We ordered and almost 45 minutes later, no food. No salad, no mozzarella sticks, nothing. We finally got up and asked where our food was. She brought my coconut shrimp. Nothing else. Asked about my salad. 5 minutes later she brought that. At this point I refused it. Asked about the mozzarella sticks and the shrimp scampi. She asked; “what pasta”? Wow. Husband never did get food. Then, she added a tip in automatically. Refused to pay that. Stay away from this place. Sad because the food we did get was good. Over an hour later.
1. Food was disgusting, as other mentioned on the review, it should be go on bar rescue show. See how their margarita pizza and fried calamari, pizza is ridiculously bad and calamari was not fresh at all, I basically left the whole thing. 2. Gratuity for to go? I don’t know nowadays Miami bar and restaurant are doing such of rip off to tourists 😒 Do not recommend at all, be aware what they charge you.
Food took extremely long which was fine okay I get it it’s late 8:30pm. But the buffalo chicken sandwich I never seen one like that buffalo sauce on the side and not fried. Didn’t wanna pay for it so I took the other food. Pizza was cold the Philly cheese steak, the meat tasted old. Chicken wrap was ehh. The place smelt bad. The bartender was odd. And a service charge is charged for every item. I saw that the staff doesn’t even get that service charge which I think is ridiculous. Whatever the owner is doing I don’t think this place is gonna be open for long.
Mozzarella sticks were good.... that's about it though. Walked in through the hotel entrance, no signs to say "seat yourself" or "wait to be seated" so I took a lap before asking someone what to do. Janaka came right to the table and took our drink orders. Waited a long period of time for the non alcoholic beverages then another long period of time for 2 margs... oops they forgot the salt rim. No biggie. We placed our orders, started with 2 apps mozzarella sticks and Buff wings, I had a pulled pork sand, and everyone else had a variation of a burger. Mozzarella came out at a great time. My pulled pork came out and one of the burgers before the buff wings came out. "They need more time". My pulled pork was cold, the bread soggy from the coleslaw. The burgers were burnt (see pictures). I asked for silverware and napkins, because why would we want to start our meals with those? Janaka brings back plastic forks. I said I was actually looking for a knife to cut our food with. I get plastic knives... okay I don't mind that, but when the people at the bar are served metal forks and steak knives??? Why the inequity? Because I'm here with family and not to hang out and drink? I felt totally ignored by Janaka (which I only found out her name from the bill). Let's move on to the burgers... mom didn't want bacon, specifically said no bacon, she got bacon. My daughter, plain bacon cheese burger, got all the fixings, sister, add onions and avocado, avocado served in a chunk... all fixable things. What wasn't fixable was the fact that all 3 burgers were so burnt, it was like they were cooked earlier and put back on to burn, I mean warm up. Where was our complaint? Well if we had service in between food delivery and check being printed, we might have offered our feedback, but by the time the overdue check was brought to us we just wanted out. Janaka never came back to get the credit card, my sister had to go up to the bar to run the card. Mandatory tipping means they don't have to care about quality... they are getting theirs anyways. I'm mad we tried them after they were closed for inspections the last 2 days.
it takes a long time for the waitress. ignores customers. impossible customer service. he writes high tips for work he does not do. the food looks terrible. the food is burned. dirt everywhere. the toilets are dirty, it looks like no one has ever cleaned up here. it's a disgusting place. google images are fake !! go here at your own risk! I will never come here again !!
Holey moley this place is a nasty dive bar if I ever saw one. We went here to grab a inexpensive bite to eat and play some pool. The pool table was surrounded by a pool of water, like cover your foot deep. I was in flip flops so especially gross. I was slidding all over. The food was fine but it all came out at diffrent times so one person got their meal then two more and then the last person it was wierd, since it wasnt like she couldnt carry it. It was a deliberate spacing. Finally we got boxes and OMG the boxes had black stuff all over the rim we asked for another one and that had gunk on it too. 100% would not do again. We are not demanding so it was not that we were bad customers it was just bad service and atmosphere.
Place had a terrible smell walking in, looks run down, waded through water to get to the womens restroom. We gave it a shot, waitress was super nice and food was mediocre at best, the worst part was the 18% surcharge on everything! We spent $175 on 5 burgers combos and one appetizer. No thank you.
