Cabana Restaurant Miami Reviews
I had an incredible experience during my first visit to this Salvadorian restaurant! The pupusa was absolutely delicious, and the carne asada was cooked to perfection….so juicy and tender. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and I enjoyed every moment of my meal. On top of that, the customer service was friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home. I can’t wait to come back for more. Highly recommend!
Authentic Salvadoriaan restaurant. I absolutely loved it! Their pupusas are great.
This place is a gem hidden in plain sight. I visited for the first time with a friend today and was impressed with the quality of the food, the genuine warmth of the servers, and the tremendous value. I had fried pork chunks with sauteed onions, Moro rice and sweet plantains. It was delicious and more than I could eat in one sitting. If you're near Brickell, stop by for a bite! 👍
We were staying at an Airbnb around the corner, this place was a short walk around the block. What a gem, I had the scrambled eggs and chorizo, homemade corn tortilla, delicious and my husband had the American breakfast, I win lol. Prices were very reasonable and staff very friendly. Don’t listen to some of the other reviews
This inside is so cute. Little souvenirs from the homeland. The staff I haven't interacted with much cause I just go pick up my food but I'm sure they're very sweet. The Carne asada is some of the best I've had. Super thick, juicy. So good. Not at all like other places that give you some thin dry floppy piece of meat. And the fried cheese 🥵🥵
Great food. Can be s little sliw when busy..

Good food and staff are all very nice. Fast service I would recommend this place for sure
Some of the best food around....And yes from this small place off of 8th street in Little Havana.....I love it.
Of the Salvadoran restaurants, for me the best, family service, you feel like you are eating at home
Cheap and good quality, big plates, i love the pupusas con loroco and tamales de gallina and beef soup, been coming here from when they were at old location by La Cubana bus. Live this place! Super fast service
Pupusas, sopa de mondongo, tamales, horchata, Pilsener, Suprema - I could keep going. This place is as authentic as it gets. A truly Salvadoran cuisine and great table service to match. I will be back.
Food is always very good. The service is always good and friendly. The chicken milanesa with rice and refried beans was pretty good. Definitely recommend and I always find myself coming back.
The food was delicious. Tasted like my Abuelita's cooking!
The most authentic Salvadoran food around, great prices, casual friendly service .... best of all, a large selection of menu items, including the best Honduran Baleadas and Central American style soups and grilled meats.
It's not my first time eating there... when I'm around that place and hungry.. that's the place...
Sopa de res was delicious!!!!! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Definitely ordering again!!
This place serves the best seafood soup in the 25 mile radious- yummy plus the waitresses complete the great experience by helping you feel comfortable 5 star rating- coming from a tough credict Juan mosqueda
Pupusas revueltas were amazing, friendly service. Super clean, waitress was very helpful and friendly..
Service is good, ambience is nice...but the Churrasco is the most tender, delicious piece of meat I've had. Get it medium rare.
Cabanas was a great place to go to in my stay at Miami. Loved the atmosphere and the authentic Salvadorian food for a Salvadorian such as myself.
I love this place they have the best pupusas ever 😍 I never get tired of them !!
Best authentic Salvadorian food, great prices and the staff treats you like family.
The food is awesome the service is 5 stars. I can’t wait to order again.
Good authentic Salvadorian food. Friendly and family atmosphere. Pupusas were tasty
We ordered in on a rainy day. Hubby ordered the pupusas, beens, cheese and mixed. They were all delicious and still warm. The pupusas were surprisingly a nice size and topped off with delicious salad...finger licking good....chicken soup was delicious too. Definitely on our favorite list of places to eat. Thank you.
The food is amazing. Really nice customer service. Delivery is always prompt and on time. Love this place highly recommend!
Excellent. I’ve been about 10 times at this point and it’s absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the grilled meat plate. Friendly service. Delicious coffee. Great Prices.
The food was very fresh and the waitress we had was very attentive. Would definitely visit again. If you live by or in the downtown Miami area they have delivery through Uber Eats!
Such a unique cozy place with just stellar customer service makes cabanas an amazing restaurant to dine at. The waitresses there cater tremendously to your requests and are detail oriented with the sauces brought and the ensure the food is served hot and everything is freshly served. It has great outside seating tv's everywhere and again the environment is super friendly and it won't break your piggy bank ! I'm Cuban and I can say salvadorian food is yummy and here it's amazing ! I am definitely returning to this little gem in little Havana
Oh, wow! The place is so good! The food was incredibly delicious. Best papusas I ever tried 👍🏼🤤 as well as our waitress was friendly and made our experience great! Gracias!!!
Good tasting food. Chicken soup is great and always service is on point. I've been coming here for years and all the staff are so sweet.
I love that this place is open until Midnight!! That makes a huge difference. Apart from that very important point their sweet treats and their coffee is amazing, and the staff is excellent. Definitely recommend this place especially to my uber partners out there, we all know how important a cup of coffee can be after 8pm. Thank you for staying open late.
They have a great variety of salvadorian food and dishes with different dessert samplings from that country. The food is fresh and the meat is tasty.Definitely a place.Going back to the prices are great. They have a smaller plates and bigger plates and price accordingly
Delicious Authentic Salvadoran Cuisine Tried the antojitos cabañas was superb ,tamal de elote 🔥 and carne asada to finish off . Great customer service overall excellent dining experience. Loved it definitely recommend you try it out !!
Highly recommend Cabanas 2. They have great food and excellent customer service and reasonably priced. The owner/manager went out his way to go above and beyond. You don't have to pay for parking and they don't force you to pay mandatory gratuity like other places in Miami. Everything is authentic and freshly made. I went 2/11/24 with my family. It was my birthday and I was craving pupusas. Their pina colada was amazing!!! I had the bean and cheese and cheese. They had the best and most tastiest ones I have had. And their deserts are so delicious. We tried the tres and cuatro leches deserts! And they came out and brought my desert with a candle and decoration and sang happy birthday to me. They went above and beyond. Highly recommend Cabanas 2!
Was way more delicious than I was expecting. The food tastes like it was made at someone's home who also enjoys cooking. I definitely recommend the food.
The chicken so fresh you might meet the family in the parking lot...
I come from NC to eat pupusas here. The best!
I highly recommend dining here. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff was welcoming and incredibly attentive, and the warm ambiance truly made me feel immersed in Salvadoran culture. I visited with my family, and it was our first time trying Salvadoran food. We loved everything we ordered the beef soup, tamales, skirt steak, beans, crema, and chips and much more. The food was delicious! I had the opportunity to try REAL Caribbean food without going to the Caribbean. I tried tostones in the past in Puerto Rico and these were so authentic. The fried plantains were amazing! The chicken was moist and it literally melted in my mouth. Great place!

I really like this place. I was looking for a good meal around my neighbor hood,And I found this place descent prices and good food.A very big plus they have soup everyday.
Really , delicious food. Good prices. Staff was multitasking friendly environment. Parking its limited. The food it's really good nice portions.
great value especially sopas that my partner ordered. Inside this family restaurant one can also buy souvenirs from Salvador weird to me but hey the food was OKish :)
Has to be the friendliest nicest staff anywhere in South Florida oh, and giving the attitude elsewhere it's a gem. The food was good tasty. They need a lot of help with the café
Excellent the only thing I can really say band would be that the bathroom stunk really bad and that the main dishes were pretty pricey like South Beach Miami beach prices but other than that the service was really good the food was really good I didn’t get no stomachache or anything LOLVery good vibes.. It was kind of odd how they put additional tip at the end and it seem like they were kind of waiting for it ? #additional ?On top of the one that they already automatically charged? Seem kind of weird.Yeah overall really good experience
The best pupusas in town. Period. The tamal de gallina is also a favorite of mine. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because the beer selection is lacking a few Central American staples like Famosa (Gallo) and Imperial. Also, it's a little more pricey than other similar places AND they charge you a take-out fee...what's up with that??
The food tasted good, but there wasn't a lot of variety. We ordered the special plate which was shrimp, sausage, steak, chicken, and pork chop. Staff mostly spoke Spanish.
My husband went in to buy my daughters a dress from Mexico and Guatemala. Very beautiful dresses. And he also took a picture of the shoes they had for girl. I got off the car for my daughter to use the restroom and try on the shoes so I can buy for her I asked a lady for help in spanish "how much are the little shoes", she said "it depended on the size", and I responded a bit confused "it depends on the size?" and she said walking away "yes". I stayed there maybe a good 2 minutes looking at the different style shoes hoping someone would get close to attend me but no one did so I just left the store. There was only 1 table from the restaurant occupied at the time and there wasnt anyone else shopping the store. But they have very beautiful Central American clothing, shoes, and purses.
I tried it for the first time via Ubereats. The price is good and the food is fulling. Good enough for the palate. I had pork chops with onions, rice and fried yuca served with tortilla.

The food was o k, the place was o k, then atmosphere didn't care for it.
It's not cut out to be the best place to get steaks & grilled chicken there are places close by better
Inexpensive food, and tastes great.however the wait for delivery is way to long. If you want food within and hour hen, I this is not the place.
The food is good, but sometimes the wait is a bit long with hardly anyone in the restaurant.
Food decent but menu too small pictures don't say what is on plate. Service not that good the staff has no clue on menu they charge for all sorts of fees including for paying with a card!
Came here with my family looking for a traditional salvadoran meal. Good food and reasonable price. However, two points off for the horrible service. Waiter seemed to ignore us whenever we asked for something. Even had to stand up from the table to pay at the cashier as the waiter didn't bring us the check. Overall, not the best experience but enjoyable food.
I have to say that I am very disappointed and discouraged from coming back. I have been a consistent customer since I was a child in the 2000s - now, and for many years, both the service and the food were impeccable. My mom and I even used to come here on our own, just the two of us, because we loved it so much. It saddens me that complimentary baskets of chips and dip are no longer offered, and I’ve noticed a decline in the quality and flavor of the dishes. The pupusas and red sauce, in particular, were underwhelming. I always order the cheese with loroco, and this time it tasted surprisingly bland. I honestly don’t know what happened, but it’s disappointing to see such a beloved restaurant’s standards drop. Prices have gone up, which would be reasonable if the food still matched the high quality it once had. This was, by far, my favorite spot for pupusas. I plan to return in 2–3 years to see if things have improved, but I truly hope they can restore the heart and soul that made this place special. The staff remained fair and attentive, but the magic that used to define this restaurant feels lost.
Very cute restaurant, very authentic. Food was not that good, I expected it to be better. The waitress was rude, she was making a big deal just because I wanted the sour cream on the side for my meal. She also never came back, someone else ended up taking care of us.
2.3⭐️ The reviews must be old because they don’t objectively represent this place. The only food we could finish were pupusas, tacos fritos, platano maduro, and yuca, but you can find much better here in Miami by a long shot. The churrasco was terrible at that point that I could not have more than a couple of bites or even take it to go — I NEVER do that — questionable quality, crazy greasy, and inedible. Juices were a big pass. The ambiance is outdated and mixed with a small store. The service is nice and friendly.

They got great food but they charge you for the picante to go.. also for the containers to go even if you ordered food...
Good Food... But the delivery service is horrible! They always mess up on the orders. One day I finally got upset and called and requested to speak with Manager or the Owner, the "Owner" answered the call. When I started to explain all the things that have happened every time we order she was rude and cocky and did not care. I told her that that as well and she said "Well if you don't like our service don't order anymore" What a great "Owner"!! We will never order again an make sure I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone!!!
This place is my to go place for Sopa de Res, but unfortunately things have changed, today the same server that got my order wrong last time did the same mistake. Then I get the bill and the tip was automatically included, I asked to speak to the manager but he was off property. She’s like ohh it’s on the menu, I said where, the tip is included for 18% for an order for 60.00 mine was 50.57. Which I wouldn’t leave anything due to poor quality service and not bringing my order correctly and forgetting my water too. I left her 1.00 at least

I never imagined that I would encounter such an unfortunate situation where I found a cockroach in my meal. Feeling under the weather, I opted to order soup and a pan con bistec from this establishment. Upon receiving my order, I was initially unimpressed with the presentation of the food. However, due to my hunger and desire for something comforting, I proceeded to eat, only to discover a cockroach in my dish. The experience was so appalling that I had to rush to the restroom and induce vomiting. I strongly urge that this restaurant undergoes an inspection. I also implore everyone to thoroughly check their food before consuming it. I am truly upset with myself for allowing this to happen.

Worst service in miami. They leave u waiting for the longest time with no customers in the place. They don't care just talking and laughing and u be there waiting at ur table
Horrible experience last time I’ll be visiting this establishment, the waiter gave me attitude and slang talk from a very casual mistake
One of the worst spanish restaurant i ever been, our server was Yadira, she was awful. My breakfast was awful, eggs overcooked. BECAREFUL your checks will include between 15% to 18% tip with awful services, Yadira never checked how we were doing. Sorrunding are is not safe, a little bit trashi, most of the meals are OVERPRICED compare to a salvadoreñan restaurant, I would not recomend it, but you can try and make your own judgment. TIP should be a complement for a GREAT services receive from any server.
The food i was served was not good. It was so bad that it made me sick. I love latin food and eat it every day, so this food was truly terrible. So was the service.
horrible customer service!! i ordered four baleadas de carne and when i arrived to the restaurant, i confirmed and made sure that they were DE CARNE. as soon as i got home to eat i noticed that the baleadas were PLAIN! when i called back to informed them about their mistake they did not offer a refund.
Terrible service and terrible food we have been there many many times but the last 2 times place has gotten worse what made me never go back was there was hair in my food. And bugs in the drinks. Place is a mess. I would not recommend. Unless you want bugs in your food or hair.
Really really terrible... almost inedible. The balcada tasted like a dirty dish towel. Really a shame. There’s a lot of really great Salvadoran food in the area THIS IS NOT ONE
Worst place to eat. Food doesn't taste good and the staff is so rude. They extra charge me on food items twice and add a bunch of fees
There are many unexpected and surprise fees that are not properly noted on the menu. Ask before you order. Service is subpar. Food mediocre. Only plus is the minimal wait time because barely anyone is here.
Worst restaurant. Food never clean and order is never right. i ask management to fix the order but refuse too management i would avoid this place. not clean and very bad service.
Horrible service, ordered from this place I got the food 1hr and 30 minutes after, not only so late but I've ordered 2 chicken sandwiches for the family and 4 empanadas and only got 1 empanda....horrible horrible horrible
Horrible the waiter mess up the order when going to pick up the price for the food is to expenses and is not the food we order the manager o the guy is not competent
So I took my family for salvadoreño food the place is little but ok.the food ok but the think I don’t like it is they charged for container to take food home fee for paying with the debit card also they put the tip included I give more tip more they where asking of the porcent never go back again I thing food is very expensive!
I was a two to three times a week client and I went in today 6-6-19 and come to find out that I can't get a bucket of beer cause the owner decided that he doesn't want to offer it anymore cause some construction guys were drunk and we're causing a seen there. What does that have to do with me, I asked if he would make an exception for me and my wife but he refused. Now what's funny is that you can still order beer one by one so what's the difference. Needless to say that we left and will never go back again since he doesn't honer me as a client that goes there on a weekly basis. Poor decision on his part.
We were eating and the food was OK! It was cold! My eggs were undercooked, the meat I was eating was so hard to even chew! And to top it off we saw a family of roaches next to where we were eating! Advised the one of the servers and all she did was grab a napkin and said, oh yeah we fumigated yesterday the are still come out! Didn't even bother to apologize! My poor friend ended up throwing up his food!
They were very friendly.. only after did we realize they charged us double tips... It was already on the bill but still asked for a tip when checking out. We should have caught it, but they should have said something. They did this to us and two other couples!
I want to understand when u ask food to go why do they charge extra for the containers. They don’t charge much but it’s still weird other places don’t do that. I called the manager/owner over and she pretty much said I’m the owner and i put the rule. She was super rude and nasty. I asked so do i need to bring my own container if i want it to go. So she said yes. But this not right I’ve gone to other restaurant i also work at a restaurant and we don’t say this Nor charge for containers. They don’t charge much but she talked to me nasty as well she pretty much said u can’t afford .25 cents more per containers, fine I’ll give the .25 cents for u. But that wasn’t even the point though....
Out of all the restaurants in Miami this one had to be the worst let me state them * 1. A bunch of flies and insects in the restaurant *2. Took 20 minutes to prepare the food , I mean the staff were just on their phones not giving a damn *3. Utensils are dirty & smudges of food are on the wrapper *4. I got a chicken sandwich ( do not get) and the bread was stale and after a bunch of lettuce and tomatoes and onions I finally get to the chicken AND they have the audacity to put a piece of chicken that is bite sized… *5. as I’m paying the bill (WHICH WAS $80.03) (ofc I’m not tipping for the service) THE LADY PUTS IN 5 STARS LIKE I ENJOYED??! & she gave me attitude like she does this every single f*ing day. *6. If your the owner of the restaurant and your reading this ( actually do good in your “restaurant”/“gift shop” and care about your customers and provide service without dozing off in the back) NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!! 😡
Updated review on 7/28: I’m incredibly disappointed today after I ordered a $4 “natural” orange juice and it was diluted in water. I’ve had their juices before and they’re supposed to be 100% juice. Haven’t had them in a while till today I was craving one and it tasted more like water than juice. They deserve a 1 star. Old review: This is a Salvadorian restaurant with a good variety of food items. I have never dined in. I've always ordered to go. The food servings are very generous and prices are reasonable. I have ordered the steak and the grilled chicken and I can say they are tasty. I also order the chicken noodle soup which is delicious. The soup comes in different sizes. They also offer a variety of natural fruit juices with reasonable pricing, because fresh and natural tends to be pricey. The restaurant has outdoor seating and the indoor is big and clean. There is hardly ever a wait. The staff are courteous which is always a plus. The place is clean and has several TVs were they play sports like soccer. The only negative here is the availability of parking. This place is at a small shopping plaza and the spots are limited. If you come at a peak time like lunch or dinner time you will most likely have a hard time finding a spot. You can still park on the street though however you will have to pay if parking on the street. Also at this shopping plaza are two other food places, a Spanish Tapas restaurant and a Dominos.
I should have read the actual recent reviews instead of relying on the high overall rating. I was craving pupusas and my husband had never tried them. We should have left as soon as we walked in…dirty floors and weird smells. The pupusa dough tasted like it was made with old dirty water or something. They had such a weird aftertaste to them. My husband will eat anything and we couldn’t finish them.
We asked to order pupusas and the lady who really doing nothing told us if we made the order and we said no and she goes like oh well then we’re close and with a stank ass attitude and fake ass smile It doesn’t take that long to make pupusas. We also told her on google it says you guys close at 11:30 and she said well yeah no we close at 10:30 even tho they were attending other people. I do see another review where they tried ordering at 9:30 and also said they were closed. She’s just a lazy worker doesn’t leave a good impression maybe she needs to work on customer service. Deserves to get fired
I have always loved the food from here, but with my last recent visit. I must say I'm VERY VERY VERY VERY EXTREMELY disappointed and mad. I put in an order around 12:20pm, staff told me my food will be ready in 15 minutes. I got there at 12:45PM, once I get there the lady tells me my food wasnt ready to wait 15 minutes. The ETA she had told me past, people kept coming in and out, getting their food serve and all, I LITERALLY WAITED ALMOST AN 45 MINS, TO GET MY FOOD. This is not the first time it happens, but I have never really complained because it was as much time waiting. This is VERY unprofessional, if I order in advanced is for my FOOD to be READY when they tell me to be there. I love the food, is AMAZING but like I stated, I am very mad because of this incident.
I didn’t even get the food and I couldn’t imagine going back to this place. There’s not a greater to sit. I went to the bar to talk to one of the servers and she wasn’t doing anything but looking at at her phone, didn’t ask if I needed anything or how can she be of service. The prices for each pupusas were increíble high but that’s the least of the concern. The service was atrocious and unacceptable. Avoid….
This place is absolutely horrible. Food was not cooked properly, the pancakes were frozen store bought mini pancakes not advertised properly, couldn’t even eat it they were as hard as a rocs., the portion of eggs was barely anything, the bacon was alright and that’s it. This place of over priced for no reason beware don’t eat here if you want quality good portion food
I entered the restaurant accompanied by my certified service dog, who assists me with my medical condition. Despite presenting the proper certification, your staff denied me entry, which constitutes discrimination and a violation of the rights granted to individuals who rely on service animals. It is important to remind you that, under federal and state laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), individuals with disabilities are permitted to enter public establishments with their service animals, without exception, as long as the animal is properly identified and trained which is the case with my service dog.
It was horrible. The food was disappointing. The men were rude towards the server. Men kept looking at me and my mom. The place smelled like cigarettes and the bathroom was disgusted and they also charged us extra money for a coffee. The menu said $2.85 but charged us $4.
The food is ok, not bad but Its not worth the price. Overpriced homemade food🤦🏻. Then they add a 18% tip for the service they provide is crazy. PLUS!!! They charge you a 3% if you use a card. That’s ridiculous. Not worth it. You can find a better restaurant in brickell for the same price or more but better. Not recommended
This place is terrible they are so rude they don’t even Greet you when you walk in the door. I done been here several time, and I don’t know why I keep coming back. This will be the last time I come here The Lady lied to me on the phone and told me that I had to get more than one Pupusa, when it clearly tells you the quantity price on the menu in the restaurant! She gave me my stuff and didn’t even ask me if I needed something else and walked off. She didn’t say have a good day or nothing. Just mad and rude. And on top of that the Food not even all that for them to acting like
