Casa Juancho is highly praised for its delicious Spanish cuisine, especially the paella and croquetas. The excellent service and live music contribute to a wonderful dining experience. However, one review mentions very slow service.
Tip: Enjoy the paella de mariscos and croquetas de jamón serrano with sangria while listening to live music.

A really nice experience and really good food in this Spanish restaurant. We had the opportunity to try many different plates from a vast variety in the menu as well as to enjoy a Spanish Quartet of singers. The place and decor is really nice inside out and with different areas and atmospheres. Definitely a great place to go with family and friends.
This is a wonderful authentic Cuban restaurant. A total culinary experience! The great staff to the authentic ambience, this is my go-to spot when I return to Miami! The paella 🥘 is the best I've ever had!
The best service ive ever had at a restuarant. Kinbardeni was our server, soft spoken, listener, gave great suggestions and was always aware of us. The environment is authentic, as soon as you walk in, you are teleported somewhere far away. Its one of those places where by the environment alone, you KNOW the food is going to be excellent. Worth every single dollar. What a Gem.
An Unforgettable Dining Experience at Casa Juancho! If you're looking for an authentic, vibrant, and truly unforgettable dining experience is the place to be! From the moment we walked in, the service was absolutely spectacular. The staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Every recommendation they gave us was spot-on, and they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed throughout the night. The ambiance is something truly special — rich in Spanish tradition, full of character, and alive with energy. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great night out, the atmosphere makes you feel like you're part of something magical. The food? Incredible. Flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. You can tell that every dish is made with love and passion. Highly recommended — we can’t wait to come back!
A spectacular place with a very Spanish atmosphere. 5-star service and an incredible level of attention. It is a place with plenty of space between tables, which is good because it doesn't give the sensation of having others too close. Live music. A highly recommendable place. The price varies a lot; if you go to stuff yourself and eat a lot, the price shoots up.
Lo mejor de España en Miami . 👍👍👍 Great Food , Great Service , Great place , Traditional Spanish Cuisine . Brings back a lot of memories from Spain 🇪🇸 Viva España .
This place is in Miami Beach Español Way highly recommended amazing service delicious food grey vibes. Best restaurant I visited in Miami Beach.
My family and. I decided to celebrate Thanksgiving here . We valet and entered were greeted . The place is immaculate incredible service and the food was excellent. Will definitely be back . Thank you for an amazing night.
EXCELLENT RESTAURANT! I had a dinner and I didn't expect it like it is, an authentic Spanish Restaurant from the Chef (Gallego) to the rest of the staff. The menu has a good variety of meals. I tried as an appetizer the meat platter (Bellota 5 J) and different type of cheese. The Paella was delicious and I took the left overs to the house... The day after tasted even better! Flan with coconut was spectacular too. They have a good selection of red wine from Spain. The design and decoration is very Spanish. Singers around the tables even celebrating and singing happy birthdays. Casa Juancho is a must. You will feel that homemade Spanish flavor with. authentic ingredients. This is the best Spanish restaurant I have eaten in Miami. Valet Parking available.
We went for my mom’s birthday, the valet parking always is very attentive. As soon as we went in we were greeted by the manager. Since we went on a weekday it was somewhat empty but we loved it. All the waiters made sure we were well taken care of. I was a little sad to find out they didn’t have the Spanish singers anymore but we still enjoyed ourselves.
Casa Juancho would probably seem a lot better if we didn't live in Spain. That is to say it is perfectly fine "Spanish food" by American standards. The atmosphere and service are both on point.
I was there on May 10th, 2025. What a joyful place, awesome service, talk about good Spanish food, wow double wow, taste, portions all around awesome place, prices are between 50 and 100 per person, including drinks. I will definitely visit very soon, my family loved it
This place has a good energy and an amazing food. Highly recommended.
This Spanish restaurant is a perfect place for any occasion. My boyfriend and I were there to celebrate Valentine's Day early but there was a large table celebrating a 50th birthday. There's amazing food and the ambiance is superb. Sadly I'm allergic to shellfish so I couldn't get the famous paella they have. I only got a photo of the Malbec though because I was far too hungry to take photos of my churassco. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience and definitely will come again & recommend to others! The servers are very attentive too & I love the old gentleman that sings with his acordian.
One of the oldest and most authentic Spanish restaurants in Miami, this place is a true classic. The atmosphere is warm and full of character, with décor that instantly transports you to Spain. The menu offers a wide range of traditional dishes, all prepared with care and rich in flavor, from perfectly cooked paella to tender, flavorful tapas. Service is attentive and friendly, adding to the charm of the experience. A timeless spot that captures the essence of Spanish cuisine and never disappoints.
I finally found a Spanish restaurant in Miami that prepares authentic dishes and not cheap, watered down American versions of Spanish food. This place serves excellent quality classics like Serrano ham, Manchego cheese, a steaming Spanish tortilla, sterling Piquitos filled with creamy cod, superb paella, amazing black rice with squid and shrimp, and on it goes! The maitre is Spanish as well as many of the servers, who are very attentive to the clients' every need. Even the decor is actually reminiscent of a dark, cozy Spanish nook. My only suggestion is that more moderately priced wines from South America are included in their wine list, which currently is made up of some very pricey Spanish wines that don't really seem to match the moderate prices of most of the food. However, their white, bubbly Sangria is well priced and delicious.
Excellent Spanish restaurant and very good wine list. The Serrano ham with Manchego was delicious. Ham croquetas were crunchy on the outside and with flavor on the inside. The Caldo Gallego was good but could be a little thicker. Had the Lenguado Meniuere and it is deboned at your table. Crema Catalana and the Flan are excellent.
Real galician pulp taste, also shrimps and oysters very well cooked... By the way, the restaurant itself is a nicely designed place avoiding others kitsch detailed very often present anywhere in Miami... A great restaurant to enjoy the spanish kitchen... Highly recommended!
My husband and I are foodies from the Philadelphia area. There are so many restaurants in Miami that narrowing things down was incredibly difficult so we decided to ask one of our uber drivers for some recommendations. We ended up deciding on Casa Juanchos and are so glad that we did. (Our Uber driver said it is his wife’s favorite place and a restaurant they often go to when celebrating special occasions.) The ambiance, staff and food were all exceptional. After walking through the front door you feel like you are in Spain. We enjoyed talking with our waiter who moved to Miami from Spain when he was a young boy. We had two of the tapas to start- grouper and ham croquettes and the pimientos del piquillo relents de queso de Cabral with goat cheese. Both of these tapas were excellent. We also enjoyed imported Spanish bread baked in house while we waited for our entrees. We ordered the Paella Marinera which is served table side. We had plenty of leftovers to take home which tasted even better the next day. The next time we come back to Miami, we will absolutely be coming back to this place. If you want authentic Spanish cuisine when in Miami, then visit to this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
Spanish delicacies. Very authentic menu. The paella is a must. One of our favorite restaurants in the U.S.
Fantastic service, nice atmosphere, first time at Casa Juancho will definitely return. Was not sure on the appetizers, decided to go with the fried calamari, light batter fresh will venture and try another appetizer next time. Dinner ordered Paella 35 minute wait time well worth it. This restaurant is well worth the pricing.
Incredible! I went with my family and we had an amazing night. We ended up ordering Paella de Mariscos and it was delicious. The service and attention was great. The restaurant was somewhat noisy from the amount of people that were dining but it wasn't too bad. Overall 10/10 on everything!!
I have been dining at Casa Juancho for the 30 years. Same waiter, have tried everything on the menu. My favorite chuleton de buey and partillada de marisco And for desert the one and only the best Torta de Santiago. Was very happy to hear that the entire staff survived the Covid 19 Pandemic. During this difficult time they did not let go their employees. Best Spanish food..
Had an amazing Father’s Day lunch. Very fresh seafood parrillada to compliment the delicious seafood paella that we ordered. We normally order grilled lobster as well but it was not available today. Sad face. The kids ordered tenderloin tips which were very tasty. The service is always impeccable and the food is always excellent!
A classic staple in miami with the best food and service Have been going there for over 25 years. The quality is always consistent , the atmosphere is beautiful, the service is fantastic Your go to spanish restaurant in miami. Great parrillada de mariscos, you have to try it!!!
Resturants come & go but Casa Juancho remains the place to go for excellent, fine, authentic Spanish cuisine. The wine list is great and the food remains the best when compared to all other Spanish Restaurants in Florida. I highly recommend it for either lunch or dinner. It is superb!!! Great food, great wine and great ambience!
What can I say about this restaurant - the food was absolutely delicious - service was excellent - beautiful old world decor - beautiful from the outside to the inside - cannot say enough good things about this restaurant - valet parking available at a fee (which is precious in the ELH - East Little Havana area) - you gotta go to this place - you will not regret it
This was a real experience. The service was top notch, the place itself has such a cozy vibe (pretty fancy too for a date night) and the food, the food was absolutely incredible. Would definitely recommend - try the cheese platter, Spanish cheeses are really something special.
I loved coming to this restaurant! The wine selection is superb! All the food was excellent and fresh. I highly recommend everything on the menu! I had this soup like piaya dish that was better than anything I’ve had in Spain. If you can’t get out of the country right away but want a Spanish vibe come here! The sangria was amazing as well. Can’t complain about anything!
Beautiful top notch restaurant. Service was great and food was amazing too. It is expensive, but worth the price given the quality of the food an service. The decor of the place is espectacular. Most of the people who work there are actually from Spain, which is a nice touch. Highly recommend!!!
In the heart of Calle 8 it is located this wonderful restaurant. The staff is distinguished by their typical uniform. As you walk in the clean smell from the kitchen —will hit you “paladar”. The menu is a footprint of the culinary art from España and their flavor as if you were visiting Europe and landed in Spain without spending 4 hours in the air. The atmosphere is very quiet and with a nice background music to allow you to relax and enjoy your meal. Oh!! The bread 🥖 is like the one my mother used to bake —enjoyed every minute of this place. Thank you to the waitress that treated me like a Royal kind!!
Casa Juancho is consistently a great experience. We host multiple events throughout the year here and it’s always 10/10. This past weekend we held our nephew’s baptism there and Maykol and Kin went above and beyond to accommodate us and make it a memorable event. Thank you Casa Juancho for always exceeding our expectations!
Food was fantastic. Best salmon I've had. Cheese selection was great and the one we tried was really excellent. Desserts were awesome. Our server was very attentive and professional, food came out quickly and the presentation was superb. Atmosphere was classy and rustic. Stone walls and wooden beams all over. Very immersive. Highly recommend for anniversary or any special occasion.
We went for the first time and it was such a great experience! As funny as it may sound, but even their water was delicious 😅! We started with the Iberico Ham , manchego spanish cheese and the chorizo, my GOD ! That was some amazing embutidos !! We then had the paellas and it was so delicious full of seafood. This is one of our favorite meals we have had in Miami!! The seafood restaraunts in Miami without a doubt have no comparison to any other Florida coastal cities in where you would expect their seafood cuisine to have such palatable plates like here. As far as pricing, they are as pricey as other places we have gone to eat seafood such as in Destin, Clearwater , etc. But the seasoning and serving amount is much better and greater, in comparision to other places where we have eaten seafood. Definately, there are other more affordable Seafood restaraunts in Miami but you will not have the same beautiful ambience. Casa Juancho is best enjoyed by those who want a specialty item on the menu that is from Spain such as the Iberico hams, manchego cheese, or specialty drinks that are not commonly served in restaurant.
Casa Juancho offers authentic cuisine in a cozy, welcoming setting. The food is flavorful and well-prepared, and the staff is friendly, creating a pleasant dining experience. It’s a solid choice for anyone looking for traditional dishes in a relaxed atmosphere.
First time in this restaurant and I love it . I didn’t take pics as I use to do since it was a friends night and I completely forgot about my phone . What I can say is that the restaurant itself is so pretty in and outside. When going I recommend I recommend you to ask for wine of the house, the bottle is around $40 and it is so good . In this way you don’t have to spend a lot of money in one bottle and still you will be enjoying a good wine. Ham croquettes and seafood paella have a 10/10 !!! However they say that the paella were personal and we ask to made one paella for two and trust me, more than three could eat. I highly recommend this place. The ambiance is nice and cozy 😊😊
Great atmosphere. The food was delicious (all of it) and it was offered to our table with the perfect timing. The servers were excellent and well coordinated. I never comment about the restroom unless it's really bad. In this case, the bathroom is immaculate. This restaurant should be set as an example in all categories. Excellent job Casa Juancho‼️👍🏼
An amazing dining experience. My Mom's favorite restaurant. Casa Juancho has the most authentic old world Spanish feel not only in Miami but in all of Florida. They provide elite service and pay extreme attention to detail in everything they do from the food to the service. The live music and rumba flamenco on Saturdays after 8 PM is entertaining and joyful. I highly recommend.
One of the best places in Miami. Loved the tapas, the lemonade is authentic and refreshing, the cuttlefish paella is amazing. Best seafood rice I ever had. Will visit again! Really looking forward to their steak and fish, which are ordered by a table next to us, and it looks and smells crazily good.
we ate like kings and queens here! the food was amazing, the service was top notch & very cool restaurant vibe/decor. really enjoyed the veggie paella, the entrecôte steak was top notch, fried calamaris & ham croquettes! definitely worth the visit if you’re in the area or just craving spanish food.
The best place in Miami for a paella, mixed seafood grill or tasty razor clams. Their ribeye is also very tender and flavorful. They also serve delicous fish dishes in buttery sauces, deboned flambe style table side. This place hits the marks for classical presentation, live quartette music most times, great wine and desert offerings too. Been going there since I was a kid, highly recommended. A Miami must.
The $52.00 filemignon was not worth it. I'm sorry to say. They have excelente Spanish dishes and I should have gone with what they do best. I still HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.
I've been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years and the food is always exceptional. On my last visit, I noticed that the portions are a bit smaller than before and the prices are higher, but the food is still top-notch.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing experience at Casa Juancho thanks to Oliver and Miguel! Oliver’s recommendation was outstanding. He suggested the octopus ink rice with tostones and avocado salad for dinner, and the grilled octopus as an appetizer, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfect and the presentation was beautiful. Miguel was also amazing, and you could really see how well they worked together as a team to make our dinner special. My husband and I truly enjoyed every moment. Great service, great recommendations, and incredible food. We will definitely be back!!!!
This is a staple in Miami, and when I visit, I love to stop in. However, this time, the service was below standard. The restaurant was not busy at all, barely anyone there. There were many waiters working, but all going around in circles. Our waiter was not looking at our table. We needed water and had to ask. We could never find him. Food was good and the atmosphere was only ok. The best part was the live guys playing music.
Food was excellent as usual. I just find it astonishing how overpriced it has become especially compared to top restaurants in Madrid. Prices are at minimum double compared to excellent longstanding dining establishments in Madrid.
Rustic looking & sitting.. sort of uncomfortable but pleasant setting. Had Paella & it tasted good. We had a 2 serving portion which fed 4 cost $64.😞 When I got there I wanted to park they said they Park it's $5 no going around that. They have in three to four guys singing one song at your table then they leave. It was my mom's birthday and they sang her Happy Birthday the second time around. It cost $5 a shot or a song. With that we had a salad avocado very nicely presented and 2 birthday pastries and Cuban coffee. It's a great place to go $$$ to have a nice time or give someone a nice birthday celebration.
Traditional Spanish restaurant. Delicious food. Good for date and events, also birthdays. They have a person who sing and play guitar for a tip , and for the birthdays the staff gather around you and sing. The paella is delicious. I recommend it! The place is not cheap, so expect to spend at least 70$ per person and do dress up!!
We had a party of 6 and the service was on point. The food was very good and so was the wine. For an after dinner drink I had a Grand Marnier but I believe they served me Cointreau instead, I drink Grand Marnier all the time and the flavor and texture was not there. I asked the waiter and he said they serve the yellow label and that I was correct. I never heard of a yellow label but becareful. The other issue was the valet, we spend well over 700 plus tip and we were charged 8 dollars for Valet, I gave the valet guy 5 bucks as a tip and he looked at me awkward and told me its 8 dollars for valet, at least they should have a sign with the price for Valet to avoid that situation, I gave him another 5 and told him to keep the change and he just walked away...RUDE!
Really good food. The fish was excellent - fresh and perfectly prepared (in salt) and served. And spanish 'minstrals' at the tables for tips. Great atmosphere. Went back on Mother's day - my father in law's choice - as they wanted well prepared fish. We we're kept waiting for too long (more than 30min) and then got a small table (it was a 5 person, so out sixth was in a heavy traffic area and we tight). The fish was bad, but I do not recommend the paella. It was Miami style - too deep, no socerat, dry and overcooked rice and the carbinero was overcooked to the point of being inedible. The house Ribero was excellent. The tuna we're excellent and fun.
Party of 11 . We visited for my mom 78 birthday, perhaps I requested to be sitted next to the tablao, it did not happened. Food was good and tasty for spanish traditional. Place is outdated, and the waiter on a rush, so it does not value the over price money. Overall, we had a good time and enjoyed the music.
This place is easy to find off of the street. It has "Paybyphone" street parking or restaurant valet $6 before 7pm and $7 after 7pm. I paid $5 and change for 3 hours afyer 7pm. So, you don't need to pay extra for valet unless you prefer that kind of service. It's a really nice building. You are greeted by a beautifully lit fountain near the entrance and by a maitre d. Service was efficient and food arrived fairly quickly. I would have liked a little more of a warmer Spanish style service approach. The food was tasty. We ordered a charcuterie plate which was simply beef and cheese. That's it. The spinach dish was a little bland. I ate it with the cheese and it gave it that little extra taste. The avocado tomato salad was really good. The paella was ok. It was lacking in savory flavor. The lobster was dry but good enough to try once. I don't think I will order it again. Also, very important if you decide to order the paella. If one person wants to order it and another wants to try it... make sure you express that. So you only pay $35 for the entree and $10 to share. Otherwise, they will charge you for two seperate orders. Which was our case. We had asked if it would be enough for two people and got charged for two orders. So, it came out to be $75 versus $35 plus $10. When I asked them to clear it up it was very confusing and got the deer in the head lights look. Lesson here is they will charge more if they can. I don't think it was worth the $75. Receiving the explanation was just as confusing as my explanation. Other than that everything was good enough for a one timer. Nothing to rave about unfortunately for such a nice looking restaurant. I went to please my Mom and her craving for paella. I will only go again to please her definitely not for my sake. Please go and check it out for yourself maybe you have a better experience. I usually prefer giving better reviews however I do like to keep it real. If my review has helped you in any way please follow me and like it👍 to let me know. Enjoy life no matter what the situation! Salud!🥂
Fun and lively atmosphere but the panhandling by musicians is a tad annoying. All the dishes (protein) were overcooked. Expensive drinks and wine.
This is my second visit to this restaurant, and I'm still not entirely sure about their food. On this occasion, I dined with a group who had pre-ordered a small roasted pig. The sangria and croquetas were delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the Basque cheesecake. However, I found the roasted pig to be bland and greasy, so much so that I couldn't finish my portion. I understand that this is a traditional preparation method in Spain, but several of us in my party shared this opinion.
This restaurant has gone down hill. It’s been about five years since we last visited. They no longer have lobster bisque and anguillas - they blamed it on the ‘pandemic’. The food was okay. They served us a hot drink when it was supposed to be cold. Apparently, in Colombia they serve it hot, the only country, yet I am in a Spanish restaurant and I am not Colombian. Taking this place off the list. Valet, only option to park, is $10 cash plus tip.
The food and drinks are average and overpriced. We spent over 200 dollars for a paella dinner that we could have gotten the same average quality or better for half the price somewhere else. The service was terrible. The server disappeared for long periods of time dressing and taking down tables somewhere else instead of attending his customers. It was so bad that I had to get up and serve my party a second portion of the paella and he did not even notice. We asked him to heat a dessert for my guest, and I was done with my dessert before he came back with the reheated dessert. You also have to pay for parking which is an added cost and there are students there that play live music and go to your table asking for cash donations which is also another nuisance. Do not recommend. Spend your hard-earned money somewhere else.
After coming here for more than 28 years we have to say goodbye. Last night we gave our new car to the mandatory valet and when we picked it up it was all damaged in the rear of the car. We demanded for an explanation and the manager of the valet said it was not their fault. No cameras and responsibility whatsoever. It’s as frustrating as it is irritable that they treat you like a piece of garbage when you try to claim your rights. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with the service
The duo singer are two ladies screaming, is not Spanish music this music is not Latin or from Spain. The service is two slow, and you ask for water and no one comes, we had to get up and go to the bar for water. I will not come back.
*** CASA JUANCHO *** Busy place, very clean. Must make a reservation. 1.- Service was ok. 2.- Food was below average. Not good. Minimum 2 paella per two people if not there is an extra charge. It takes at least 30 minutes to make. Sangria was ok. Jamon croquetas were missing jamon or jamón taste. Pulpo was oily and very hard. Camarones al ajillo were ok. The Marinera and Fideuá were simply bad and lacked any taste related to a paella or a real one. We have visited this place a few years back, and had no idea how bad and popular is. No comment on the flan. Parking on site. Bring some cash. Spotless place. Now they really need to make good food.
Took my mother for her birthday about a month ago. Valet guys were extremely rude and you have to leave with them or park in the street. Valet charges what they want based on what car you drive. Paella was overcooked, and the lobster tail that came with it was like rubber. I told the waiter and he just said “we’re very busy, it happens.” $15 cheesecake tasted like like refrigerator. When we were done it was raining very hard. As I walked outside they asked me for valet ticket, I gave it to the guy and 5 minutes later my car was there, with the seats totally wet. The ran to get the car with no rain coat or umbrella, I told him about he seats and he was very rude, said “well it’s raining”, and said they’re not allowed to use umbrellas. I wasn’t in a hurry, I could’ve waited. When I gave the ticket I would’ve expected they used common sense and not ran out in the middle of the rain. Seats are still stained from the water as you can see in the pictures.
06/07/2024 Disappointed is the conclusion. When a restaurant in Miami is almost empty on a Friday night, it’s a sign that it has lost its way. The appetizer portions were insufficient for the attending guests, and waiting an hour between the first and second course is unacceptable. The paella had many ingredients on top, but the main element, the rice, was overcooked. The waiters brought the wine glass with the bill next to it, as if we were going to run away, and overall, the service was deplorable. An establishment like this must and has the obligation to maintain the standards of its best service, food, and ambiance. On this visit, it felt like the founding principles of this restaurant have been lost. I wonder why Miami does not have a Michelin star restaurant and the conclusion is simple. When you earn money with mediocrity, why strive? It's honestly not a place to go back.
If I could give zero stars I would. I had the worst experience here. We didn’t want the mariachi at the table and we were forced to tip them. The server never came to offer more water. We had to keep asking/begging the server for more lemon. My Moms plate didn’t come warm. At the end, we went to tip, trying to leave at least 15%, and they said IT WAS NOT ALLOWED. What do you mean that is not allowed? Tip is based on service and food, which BOTH were 0 stars. Honestly just a horrible experience. Will NEVER be coming back. I was reading the reviews , and other people had similar experience with server asking for more TIPS. Money Hungry Staff.
I was very disappointed by my recent experience at this restaurant. I handed the waiter $500, expecting to receive my change so that I could personally decide on the tip. Instead, he kept more than a 25% tip without my consent and only returned $15 in change. When I asked about it, he offered an unconvincing explanation, claiming he had set aside another bill for the tip — which was not true. I had invited my family for a pleasant meal and didn’t want to create an uncomfortable situation, but this conduct was both unprofessional and disrespectful. It is unfortunate that a restaurant with so many years of service would allow such misleading behavior. The waiter appeared to be a man in his fifties, with braces and a Spanish accent. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously. Customers deserve transparency and integrity, not deceptive practices.
Lovely ambience and friendly staff, but the prices were shockingly high for the quality of food and wine served. Portions were small, flavors underwhelming, and the wine list felt heavily marked up — even more expensive than some Michelin-starred places I’ve visited. I’ve really been to top restaurants in Spain, and this just didn’t compare. Beautiful setting, but unfortunately the experience didn’t justify the price.
Unfortunately Casa Juancho has lost its way. The prices are outrageous but the portions are much smaller. The paella is no longer the best paella in town , it didn't have the authentic flavor and minimum seafood for $80, highway robbery. . Service is mediocre at best. Is a tourist trap, how sad. The place looks run down and the staff could care less about offering good service.
