This restaurant strikes a perfect balance between generous portions and refined flavor. The extensive menu, featuring offers like Miami Spice (but all year long), caters to every palate without compromising on quality. Live piano music sets a warm, inviting tone, while a curated art collection adds visual intrigue to the space. Whether you're planning a romantic evening, a business dinner, or a family celebration, the attentive service and versatile atmosphere make this spot a standout choice.

Recently had a Baby Shower for My Daughter at Cafe Catula. We were so glad to have found and chosen Cafe Catula for the event. The whole time Alex and his team were very amicable and bent over backwards during the set up. The guests raved about the food, the service and the ambience. The food choices were excellent and all were delicious and made to perfection. they were being brought out as they were being cooked so the food was not cold and at perfect temperature. I had the Vacio steak and it was the most tender steak I had eaten in a while with the same satisfaction from all the guests that had eaten from the other choices. They cut the cake and packed it in containers we had brought for the guests to take home. The event went without a hitch, between Alex and his staff, Balloons By Marielys, who was our coordinator and Balloon decorator we were able to enjoy the Baby Shower because everything was taken care of. The coordinators greeted the guests and were at the end ready to hand them the cake as the guests left. This will be our go to place for events like this again, I can't say enough them!

Café Catula is one of my favorite restaurants in the Kendall area. The décor is superb with the beautiful artwork on display that is accompanied by a well-leveled background music. The place is excellent for a date night. We tried the croquetas de chorizo and tostones with shrimp to start. The shrimp was amazing. We also ordered the sunset snapper and the corvina aragosta. They did not spare on the crab meat for the corvina, and we loved it. However, the sunset snapper was my favorite, the citrous white wine sauce with capers was the perfect accompaniment for the fish. Each of the entrees came with two sides. For dessert, we had the crepe and it was also delicious. The staff was very friendly and well trained in hospitality. One could tell our waiter knew what he was doing, from the timing of bringing our food to refilling our wine glasses. We will definitely return.

Beautiful cafe with amazing artwork, it is truly a galleria. Great service and fantastic dishes. A great menu with raw and hot dishes. The server explained some of the dishes are a fusion between Cuban and Italian which works so well together. Definitely worth the trip and will return.

This has been so far one of the BEST restaurants I have been to this year. The service was excellent, the food was out of this world. The crab cake was so wonderful I felt I was back in Maryland oceanside. The tostones with risotto and tuna was unbelievable and the corbina with lobster sauce was divine. The only thing missing was hearing the piano while celebrating my 27th wedding anniversary. I plan to go back real soon to try the other amazing entrées.

Last night I celebrated my 67th birthday with family and friends (26 persons). The ambiance is good and elegant, beautiful pieces of art displayed throughout the restaurant. Yordi, who took care of us was attentive, helpful, friendly and lovely. The manager Richard worked hard to accommodate such a big group with a nice setting and arrangement. The food was amazing, everyone liked theirs. Thank you Chef. Highly recommended. Thank you for helping me to celebrate my birthday in such a beautiful place. Maribel Butts 1/7/2023.

Today our next food adventure dinner time we going to Cafe Catula located in Miami, this restaurant mixing two traditional cuisines, Spanish and Italian with a Latin touch in some of it's desserts. The decoration of the place is partly a gallery to exhibit sculptures created by the artist Uldis Lopez and paintings made by different painters such as Jose Chiu and Miguel Leiva, each work is striking in view of those who visit the place. The customer service was fast and the food too, the taste of each dish was exquisite, we ordered chicken, fish and meat and each one of them was made by someone who is passionate about their profession. The price of the food was a bit high but quality is priceless and at Cafe Catula they serve you quality. Thanks to Chef Rogelio for that exquisite meal.

First time to this restaurant. We tried the Miami Spice menu. Each selection had three three choices. Meats as well as seafoods. I chose the pasta with seafood that was wonderful. My friend ordered the snapper, also delicious. Food all served hot temperature, very tasty sauces . Good portions. Place very elegantly decorated. Staff friendly and attentive. Will return.

We’ve been reviewing places for 10 years and this is BY FAR the best place to eat in Miami! This has become our favorite restaurant. Been here a dozen times and the food is always amazing and service is above and beyond any upscale restaurant. Appetizers, entrees and desserts are always delicious and have a unique twist to your typical cuban/spanish food. Add to that soft live music and a legitimate art exhibit with paintings and sculptures. This place is amazing!

I recently tried the Nutella crepe at this restaurant, and it was an absolute delight! The crepe was perfectly thin and delicately folded, with a generous spread of creamy Nutella that oozed decadently with each bite. The balance of sweetness was impeccable, making it the best Nutella crepe I've ever tasted. The attention to detail in presentation and the quality of ingredients truly set this dish apart. I can't wait to go back for another indulgent experience!

We made reservations for a Saturday night and had to change them 2 times and ended up getting there late! When we got there the hostess was very nice did not seem to care and sat us right away. Luckily because the place was full! Loved the piano music and the food was delicious! Especially the pulpo a la catula. Great service overall too. Will definitely go back.

This restaurant was lovely. I had DELICIOUS calamari, tuna tartar and churrasco steak. There are MANY ITEMS on the menu that are SAFE TO EAT with a MILK ALLERGY: meats, chicken, seafood, and most appetizers. I was told to avoid pasta dishes. I RECOMMEND this restaurant! #dairyfreedining #stefsentyou The only issue I had was the manager who helped with serving my table was a bit condescending when I kept asking him about items that might have milk as they don't have an allergen menu: "Why would the steak have milk?" "The only ingredients in calamari are..." This was the only turnoff l had.

Had an amazing evening at Café Catula! At Xhance Dinner Presentation 🍷✨ Started off with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon that complemented with our appetizers Crab Cake and Croquetas. Fresh Branzino Picatta to die for and finished the night with delightful crêpes for dessert. The ambiance, the art, and the live music made it a perfect evening. Highly recommend for a special night 🌟

It had been quite some time since I came here but recently came back once a week and never been disappointed. Oysters are fresh, the branzino is fantastic. My wife loves the risotto de masitas as she won't eat masitas de puerco anywhere else. I do have to say the ice cream with the chocolate souffle was bland. Everything else was great. Only the service exceeded the food.

I had never been here before and I was pleasantly surprised. I had the corvina fish and it was delicious. Several others in my party had different fish platters and they all said it was very good. The atmosphere is "old fashioned semi-formal", which means it is a good place to bring a jacket or wear those nice clothes that you seldom take out of the closet (but not required). They have a piano and I am told they occasionally have a live player, but they weren't there when I visited. Overall, it's a very good find in the middle of an area with few good restaurants. Dress nice, go visit, enjoy live music when they have it and have a good meal.

Excellent 👏👏 I loved it! Food was great. Reservation on their web page was easy and very convenient, (you don't have to speak with anybody and repeat your self) and they fallow up witg me by text to confirm and remind me. I went for lunch and had the 3 course lunch especial of $24.99 and it was better than expected, It tasted delicious. I started with a Malanga soup cream, and I'm from Cuba and we eat a lot of Malanga, but I had never had it this way as a soup. I loved it.., later I had a Salmon on a pear sauce with pasta 😋 , finally I had a caramel crepe with one vanilla scoop, and I accompanied it with a capuchino ☕.The restaurant it's very nicely decorated and clean, staff was friendly, they speak Spanish and English, also they are very attentative to their customers, because every time I finished eating one entry, they soon bring me the next, without me asking. Everything was at the perfect temperature to eat. The parking it's free and it's located on the ground floor, next to the restaurant entrance, I parked on the top top floor, because I wanted to walk after eating - if you go, read the parking signs, because parking it's shared with other business on that same building plaza. By the layout of the restaurant, I will say it's suitable for wheelchairs too, I will recommend it as handicap friendly restaurant,. I sat on the patio and I was very comfortable there, the patio it's covered and has privacy, and a good breeze, I almost felt sleep sipping my coffee (I eat slowly to enjoy my visit) I Do Highly Recommend it, I will be back with my girls friends very soon. Thank you Cafe Catula.

The food here is amazing! Great ambiance. The times that I've been they have played live smooth jazz music. If I were to describe the cuisine, it is a mixture of Spanish and Italian. The dish in the photo is my favorite and can be found under the chef's classics section. This is the Osso Buco Milanese. Baby veal shank on a bed of safron risotto milanese. If you look closely you may catch a glimpse of the small spoon inside the bone which has been strategically placed so that you can scoop out the buttery and delicious marrow. To-die-for!

Cafe Catula did not disappoint. Their miami spice 2025 menu was excellent. We tried the croquettes, ceaser salad that were very good. Great service and food! Went there for a birthday and had a great time. Servers were really nice and attentive. Loved the piano live music! The food was really good and they were very open/flexible to take away or substitute food items on a dish. For example- I didn't want rice so they added extra veggies and no extra charge. Their bread with seasoned butter is delicious! Their selection of appetizer is great! Also, they have free parking!

Great atmosphere! The food is delicious and the drinks are spectacular. I didn’t give 5 stars because they only had 1 server on a Friday night and we sometimes we had to wait long periods of time to get our food and drinks but the overall service was good. FYI, the menu is 95% seafood.

I was there for lunch and they have 1 menu at $16 and another at $21, you choose soup or salad, a main dish and dessert, the choices varies depending on the price of the menu, but you have several different options, from pasta to chicken and fish or beef. Overall is a nice place with a nice ambiance, there's a gentleman playing piano, and you can admire the art all around the place. My only issue was that the parking is not very well indicated and you can get kind of confused, they have valet parking, which is free for lunch, and you can leave your car starting al 12pm, when the restaurant opens.

Tried Café Catula for Miami Spice. The food was simple, yet delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. The parking situation if a bit inconvenient on the weekends. There is additional parking in the building garage, however the elevator was broken when we went. Despite Miami Spice, the select menu was a bit on the expensive side.

Parking is $5 valet or free for rooftop parking. Restaurant is on the first floor. Very elegant- almost like an art museum. Lunch menu is available. 3 course meal with TONS of options at two price points. Service is great. Churrasco on the lunch menu was excellent.

Nice restaurant to go for lunch or dinner for business or with the family. They usually have a piano player playing beautiful music. The dishes are tasteful and the desserts are delicious. My favorite dessert is the guava one. I recommend this restaurant when you're hungry and in the area.

Good food, lovely atmosphere, but just a bit loud due to room acoustics. Liked the artwork and lighting. Good spot to impress your date. Menu features seafood

All's good. Food was good. I was a little taken back by the bill. Some things are extra such as coffe and dessert that's OK. However when I looked at the bill that I sign, credit card payment, it looked high with the add an 18-25% tip. I looked at the itemized bill, separate and below the bill that I sign. Item by item. Subtotal + Tax + Gratuity. What you want to double dip and have me tip the Subtotal + tip the Tax (does that go to the state tax people) + tip the Gratuity a second time. Huh watch your bill they don't tell you they're asking for a second tip. Gratuity plus a second tip would equal to over a 40% tip. Food was OK just watch the bill

Went here Friday night with reservations for five. GREAT food and very nice fun atmosphere. Parking is forced valet, which I detest, so I parked next door at the Hardware store. Our waiter was non-existent, he would come around every 30 min, we even joked about it and put him on a timer... The place was busy, but not packed, there is no excuse for neglecting us... Cocktails, Appetizers, Main Course and even the Dessert were very good. FYI Chocolate soufflé takes 30 min so order when finishing your meal. Do not come here if you don't like LOUD places! My ears are still ringing... It is a little pricey but we had a wonderful time and would definitely go back.

Very nice place , had not been here in years. Food was very good ! Wife and I ordered melted provolone cheese with Serrano and the tuna tartar as appetizer. Did not care too much for the tuna, quality and freshness was fine but it had somewhat of strange sweet taste, that I did not care for. We then ordered a fruta de mare linguine, which was very good , great flavor . Wife order the fried fish. This is a very nice place , has a full bar and is very comfortable with cozy low lighting. It seems the people who come here are regulars and they enjoy it . Prices are very good compared to other restaurants of this caliber. I recommend a try .

Nice place in general, with parking available. Service was excellent, Carlos was pleasant and answered all the questions. The food was not what I was expecting. Sea food risotto was made with frozen shrimps, squid and bay scallops. The fish did taste fresh but the salmon was probably frozen too. My friends had steak and were pleased. I guess I’ll have steak next time!

Food was good. Service was friendly. They had a piano bar playing classical music. I went there for Father's day. It took more than an hour to get the food.but when it arrived it was delicious!

Churrasco was so fatty I couldn’t eat it. But the mashed potatoes and the Caesar salad were good. They also ran out of my dessert so I went with a 3 for the food. The service and the restaurant were nice.

Really beautiful place, with artwork throughout, including the food. My husband and I had just eaten, so we didn't get much to eat, just an appetizer and had a few drinks, but everything was beautifully presented. The ceviche was not only beautiful, but tasted exquisite. I would definitely go back and have a larger meal here and more drinks as well. The service was nice; everyone was pleasant and helpful. To see everyone work as a team was artwork in itself. Thank you for a great time!

It has taken me a while to write this review since it is a place that has so much going for it. They have an excellent display of art with perfect lighting, there is a pianist w a excellent repertoire but the atmosphere was missing. Maybe it was an odd day being a Thursday there where few patrons but having a pianist and then sitting us at the very end of the restaurant where we did not see them at all made no sense it would have been so much better if the three tables would have around the entertainer. Service was good but erratic the to waiters came asking about our order a few times as when they were in a hurry to go home. If there's ever to much of an attentive service this is the place. Now the food we order: seared scallops, the 🦀 cake (just one), Corbina in the a Champagne Sauce, tortollinis of rabo encendido and lastly the Osso Buco all where fine to the palate but for the price too small of a portion. They offer a special 4 course meal that includes a glass of wine and dessert. We like wine and no dessert but that is why we decided to go w the regular menu but perhaps the special menu is the way to go. It is a nice place and I will return where in the area, to give it a second chance but as of today it needs some working to give it a better review.

I came here for Miami Spice, and it’s a pretty fine place. I think if you’re looking for a place to go that has a nicer, fancier vibe in Kendall this would be a good spot. The service I had was great, the ambiance was good, and overall I had a good time with this restaurant. However, the food is pretty expensive for what it is. Even with miami spice deal, I don’t really feel like the price point to food deliciousness ratio makes this place worthwhile. Don’t get me wrong- the food is very fresh and tastes pretty good, however there are just a few things here and there about the dishes that make it fall a bit flat or a bit underwhelming to make me want to pay for this. I ordered the carpaccio, the corvina, and the tres guayaba. I also tried a bit of my partners risotto. Although all 3 are very fresh with a good taste, there is nothing too special about it that sets this place apart from others. I know that it’s supposed to be more “elevated,” but I don’t really see that reflected in the dishes. It can also be a little loud at times and it is a little dim. It doesn’t bother me, but I will just mention it in case that’s something that matters to you. We also had to pay $5 for valet parking, so FYI. Overall: Is it worth going? Yeah, I think it would be good to try at least once. Maybe you think it’s worth it with the drinks, art, ambiance, etc. I don’t think I’ll return on my own, but if someone invites me back I won’t have any issues with it. It’s not bad, maybe just not my style! But with all the restaurants in Miami, I think there are better places to pay for a fancier meal.

Had an early dinner here a couple of months a go. I had read/seen the reviews and decided to try it out. I was definitely not impressed by the dinning room, its staff, or the food. I found it to be on the expensive side for what we had. Would I go back - no. However, that should not stop any of you from experiencing this for yourself. Bon appetit!

I went with a large (55-60) group and our table was served more than 2 hours (!) after we arrived — short staffed in kitchen apparently. Service and food were great but food came out by table — and we were the last of 7-8 tables. Restaurant administration should have anticipated this issue and staffed kitchen accordingly — people were finished with dessert and leaving before we were even served our entree. Maybe they should have asked the group to pre-order, which may have facilitated the kitchen staff — or they could have hired more kitchen staff for that day. The waiters were great but mostly walked around since there was no food to serve.

Went with a party of 12. Food and ambiance was good. Service was ok. We spent over $1200.00. Waiters were catering to smaller tables and would hv ordered more and left a bigger tip if service was better.

The service and food were good. The bill was a disaster. I was double charged for drinks and the entire bill was a mess. I will not go again and if you go be careful

It was okay. Scallops were great but risotto was salty. Mashed potatoes were bland. Hongos rellenos were ok but had mozzarella, which was not listed on the menu and my mom couldn't eat. The crab cake was fine, but the passionfruit margarita was made with syrup, not the real fruit or juice. So food was okay, kinda overpriced. And to top it off, we specifically went because the website said there was a piano bar, but there wasn't. I repeat, no piano on Saturdays! Don't make our mistake.

Nice small restaurant, fast service. average food and little salty. Wine and desert were my favorites.

Food was OK. Service was horrible. This is probably why they automatically include a tip. We were seated at 220pm and finished our meal at 5pm. Absolutley ridiculously long wait between apps and meal and dessert. Would not recommend this place.

Met friends here for drinks, they ate we did not just ordered a Wine & Glass of Beer but it got close to closing time and the staff actually asked us to LEAVE! I know they want to go home I understand that but it wasn't even closing time we had 40minutes before that! Won't be back to try the food.

Good start horrible finish it was good when they opened lately gotten worst and tonight was the icing on the cake. Reserved and when we got there we were told all tables are full but you can sit outside which was so pleasant. Then since the start service was slow and got worse thru out the night multiple times we had to request others for service and the last time I had to get up and go inside and request my check and after realizing that even for a party of 2 adults and a baby they include gratuity which was $24 and totally not worth not even $10 for the bad service too bad we won’t be back!!

Food was good, it took too long to come out during Miami spice week. We got there at 7:00 didn’t get to leave until 9:00 while waiting for the desert and the check to arrive. I don’t think it’s the fault of the staff, they over booked themselves and there weren’t enough servers to client ratio. My party was so tired by the time we paid we didn’t want to go to our next destination. It was stressful to be in there and wait so long for service to be completed. We even considered getting up and leaving after asking for the check 3 times from different people. The poor hostess even asked us if we had been taken care of out of concern we had been there so long.

Risotto rice was undercooked and hard, wine was not properly reduced. Steak was cooked to correct temp but was overly salted. Although we informed waiter of undercooked risotto, which we were unable to and didn’t eat, nothing was done or suggested to cure the issue. Definitely not returning.

I read all the rave reviews about café Catula so I was excited to go. What a huge disappointment! First of all the lunch menu increased from $15.95 to $28.95 just because it was after the holiday, December 27. Are tou really going to charge and additional $13.00 to gauge your customers? My friends and I decided to give it a try anyway. I ordered the spinach and ricotta cannelloni, which came with an extra addition of a long hair in the middle of it. I was truly disgusted. When I informed waiter, he brought the manager over. I showed the manager the cannelloni with the hair sticking out of it and his reply was “I doesn’t know how that happened because nobody has hair like that at the restaurant”. . He told me he would get me another plate and I told him I was not interested. No thank you. When we got the check, the lunch entrée cost was taken off the bill, but they still charged me for the salad and the dessert from the three course meal which I thought was petty and showed poor customer service. No apologies were voiced either. Then the next day I went to grab change out of my center console in my car and realized that the valet had stole all my change, and a single dollar bill that was there. Cafe Catula left a bad taste, as well as a long disgusting hair in my mouth . I will never ever go there again nor will I suggest it to any of my friends.

Service was good. Ambiance was good. Food was terrible!! Shrimp cocktail was small the same size that comes in 51-60 count in a bag. $15 for 5 tiny shrimp. The oyster rockefeller was all cheese, the ravioli stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese looked and tasted like it was heated up in a microwave. The portion was so small. The skirt steak was rubbery and yes we cut it against the grain. The only thing we enjoyed were the french fries and the bill was over $200 for 4 people. Not going back!!!

The food is exquisite, it doesn’t disappoint at all, but the service was the worst. We only went to have a snack, and since we didn’t “consume” a large amount of food or alcoholic beverages, they started treating us badly. They never picked up the dirty dishes, they didn’t change the beer glasses, we drank beers in the same warm glass. Every time we ordered something, it took an average of 30 minutes. We had to get up from the table to pay. Obviously we gave them zero extra tip (the tip was already included in the final bill, bad luck for us). There are only 4 people who will not repeat the experience and there are 4 of us who will spread the word so that no one is discouraged from going to that “elegant place.” And you think twice before going to spend a lot of money because it is not cheap, so that they treat you badly.

I ordered on uber eats twenty five dollars for five average sized pieces of small raviolis. It’s cold as well with barely any sauce. Horrible do not recommend.
