I was looking for a great lunch spot and this place delivered. I got two lunch plates, jerk and brown stew chicken. Both came with rice, plantains, cabbage, and a drink. The food was good and filling. For a lunch portion, it was 100% worth it. For those two deals it was under 20$. I also tried their carrot cake, which was good.
If you want AUTHENTIC, delicious, satisfying Jamaican food that tastes like home. This is maybe the only place in Miami area to get it. It takes a long time to get the food so you have to call ahead and this is because they're making it from scratch fresh. It's definitely a hole in the wall, which is why I gave the atmosphere a 4, but it's nostalgic and a place for us as jamaicans to coalesce and feel at home. Love the owners as they are very hospitable and welcoming. This is a place that I can trust the food will be good everytime. Thank you for tasting like home !
My first time eating here I called ahead to verify if they had the cow foot dinner the woman on the phone was very polite she advised me yes so I went on door dash and order it …. The meal was excellent 9/10 a couple days later I took my cousin and we tried the oxtail plate that was also a 10/10 and the beef stew was a 7/10 I am in love with this place the quality of food they serve they have a new regular and it’s a must I come weekly now .
Food was delicious. Great customer service. Nice price for the amount food they give. Curry goat was amazingly good
Always drive by but today I Stopped for lunch and got curry goat medium size and the portion was good I couldnt eat it all at once. It was full of flavor and tasted fresh. I also had their pine and ginger drink which was amazing so refreshing. I can’t wait to go back
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cliff’s Restaurant – A Hidden Gem for Authentic Jamaican Flavor If you’re searching for the best Jamaican food in Miami, look no further than Cliff’s Restaurant & Catering on NW 7th Avenue and 107th Street. This place may look like a humble hole-in-the-wall from the outside, but don’t let appearances fool you—Cliff’s is a powerhouse of flavor and tradition. Every dish I’ve tried here has been absolutely delicious. From the tender jerk pork and rich curry goat to the perfectly seasoned brown stew chicken, the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. Their lunch specials are generous, and the soups and stews are soul-warming in the best way. What makes Cliff’s stand out isn’t just the food—it’s the feeling. You walk in and immediately know you’re somewhere special. The vibe is authentic, the staff is friendly, and the kitchen clearly knows how to honor Jamaican culinary roots. Whether you’re a longtime lover of Caribbean cuisine or just curious to try something new, Cliff’s is a must-visit. It’s one of those rare places that feels like home and tastes like heritage.
Omg the breakfast at this place is amazing, we drove there 3 times out of our vacation just to have their food. Would recommend eating from here
Best Jamaican food in Miami, always consistent.
Great food was hot and fresh considering how late it was. Watched the soccer game with my family at the bar had amazing service food time.
I need you to understand how I APPRECIATE this restaurant!! I had to plan a surprise party for my team (Green Essence) and I’m not savvy when it comes to planning parties and let me tell you how AMAZING the food was, the professionalism, the friendliness of the staff when I walked in, I am so appreciative of this restaurant and it’s team. Thank you!
I have eaten in and had takeout and the food and vibe are impeccable! I would fly to Miami solely for this jerk. I’m from Canada and they don’t have jerk like this there. It is so tender and delicious I always get the jerk pork like 20 times whenever I visit to get my fix 😂 10/10
I love Cliffs the food is always on point and you can’t beat there lunch specials 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🥇
I love the restaurant and the food was great and the ladies that served me was very nice and very beautiful as well yeah i said it lol And i love the fact that i was able to eat my food and asked the deejay to play songs that i like so i can eat my food in peace. The music sounded great in there and it was a very peaceful place i felt very comfortable inside. I will bring all my friends there to eat and just to relax.
Haven't been here for a very long time when I used to go a long time ago they were very very good my friend Jay my mechanic took me there the other day first time eating there in a long time I loved it like always they have always been good until this very day they're one of the best restaurants in the area love this place give it a try and let me know how you like it
I must say I initially going in lady taking orders wasn’t very friendly but the atmosphere was welcoming they had a live DJ & the food was absolutely delicious... my fiancé & I ordered oxtails & jerk chicken both which came with rice & peas & cabbage... give it a try you won’t be disappointed!!
I'm a regular here, they treat me like family. They've given me awsome customer service. The price for the food is good. But, more importantly everything I've eaten there thus far I have enjoyed.
Cliff's is the best. The staff is amazing. The portions are huge. The decor is a hoot. And they have a DJ at times (yes, even since Covid19). My favorite place to get Jamaican in Miami. :-)
Amazing tiny little place with great jerked chicken really good roti and amazing service quick on and out looked forward to trying the oxtail.... FYI had a Patti while waiting for my food and it was mind blowing...a must try
I gave this place a try because It seemed like a small down-home spot, and I know they usually have some good cooking. I was not disappointed. I had a large Jerk chicken, couldn't finish it all, but man was it good. I will definitely be back when I come to visit.
I've been going to Cliff's for years! The food is yummy and affordable with big portions even the lunch special. The staff is great and polite too. If you're in Miami u gotta check em out! 💯🙌
It was a real Jamaican experience...starring with the rustic look and feel. Nothing fancy to look at but the food was absolutely delicious!! I had the callaloo and saltfish with boiled dumpling and boiled green bananas. Everything was great...right amount of pepper. My husband had the Ox tail with yam and bananas. He enjoyed it. They even sold us a few slices of hard dough bread since we didn't want to buy the entire loaf. I thought that only happened in rural Jamaica! Lol.
They give a great size portion. We’ve been eating it for 2 days. A little of a wait but it’s worth it. I’m not a fan of curry but the brown stew chicken plantains cabbage rice and peas are so bomb mixed together. I don’t have pic because i started to devour it. Good music love DJ on Saturday wasn’t too busy. A must stop shop while visiting Miami. Be prepared to use the bathroom after a couple hours of eating.
The food is great along with beautiful souls that cook, run the place and customers! Been going to Cliff's since a little boy (for over 20yrs)! One of my favorite dishes is the steamed fish with food and I love to buy all the fried dumplings and festivals!
The reviews do not do enough justice !! The food was phenomenal. Ordered Jerk Pork (no bone or fat) and got an abundance of perfectly cooked pork. Perfect rice&peas, perfect steamed vegetables, perfect plantains. Food was so good I ordered a Brown Stew Chicken to go! Hands down one of my top places to get Jamaican food.
Food was delicious! I ordered the ackee and salt-fish (during lunch time...and they hadn't run out!) with cooked food. They were not stingy with the portions. The fried dumplings were very light and the inner texture reminded me of roti.
The service is a little slow, but worth the wait! My oxtails were delicious! With a portion so big I couldn't finish it all. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Jamaican food.
My husband just brought this food home for the first time, curry chicken, rice and peas, cabbage. Everything was on point and seasoned well, especially the cabbage, delicious 👍🏽
Visited Miami area 3 weeks ago, late night had a taste for authentic Jamaican cuisine. Don't judge a book by its cover. This is by far the best Jerk Chicken, Oxtails with gravy over Rice & Peas, cabbage ever! Food was so fresh, flavorful and excellent service, great outdoor atmosphere. I will visit here again.
First time here & we will be back every time we come to Miami 🔥🔥🔥I got the oxtail plate & was very satisfied!
Oh gosh! I’ve had cliffs four different times and each time it’s so damn delicious! Faithful customer when I need some good soulful food. My go to is the stew chicken and jerk chicken. Delicious!
Love this spot. They have stew peas on the lunch special which includes a drink. Need I say more. I like to call ahead with my orders and it's ready within 10 minutes for pickup. Their soups are good too. I've also had their jerk chicken, curry chicken, brown stew chicken and of course the wonderful stew peas. Juss go deh man! 👌🏾
they serve the best oxtails and peas n rice and cabbage i have ever tasted. the lady that served me was very nice and soft spoken she really made my day. this my first time going to cliff's restaurant and i will be going there every time i get a chance. and i don't know the other ladies name but the lady that served me her name is Ms. Colleen and i will tell all my friends about this restaurant i want to taste the fried conch and the jerk chicken and jerk shrimp i can't wait . you need to stop here while you're in the miami area
Authentic Jamaican food!! This place is absolutely incredible! The staff is amazing and the food is straight from the islands. My favorite item was the fried dumplings. If you’re looking for authentic Jamaican food this is the spot! I promise you will not be disappointed!
Best place in town to enjoy a traditional meals I eat the every 3 days. I highly recommend them. Good customer service and friendly environment.
Oh hell yeah. That curry chicken was nice, the beef patte was really good, the price was good, I'll be back. Better than fatboys in NMB.
Probably the best jerk chicken I have ever had! Not to mention the rice and peas were perfect, plaintians super soft but crispy on the outside and also the steamed cabbage had so much flavor. The woman at the front was very nice and the service was great. This place has a special vibe to it and theres always good music playing!!!
Ambiente familiar bien una admosfera bien agradable.y limpia .la comida muy buena
Muy nice
Food was good. Will come back. Didn't have no jerk chicken tho. Also my fault for going late so they probably was out of everything. Curry goat is good
The food here is pretty good. Great service and staff. Will be coming back .
It feels like carbieen vibe love it. Food. I never eat Jamaican food that much and I need try more to give them 5 stars
They serve authentic Jamaican cuisine and the food is always good. However, the restaurant is small and always crowded. Just call in your order and plan to dine out.
Good Jamaican food. I know this sounds crazy but I really love the cabbage. Be prepared to wait a while. Best to call in the order. Lunch specials are the best for the price and it comes with juice.
Good-sized portions, reasonable prices, Jamaican spicy food. But... Whomever the amateur butcher is, does NOT know how to cut up the chicken, nor the spareribs... too many bone splinters. Clean, fresh, cozy place with two booths and a half-dozen counter stools. Construction on the entire NW 7th Ave makes it so difficult to get into its tiny parking lot.
The food is AMAZING! The service is generally slow. The price is very reasonable. It's a very small place but has an authentic Jamaican flavour. I support the restaurant a few times a week but remember.....pack your patience.
Parking not so great and very limited for a place with food so awesome. As a repeat customer I can truly say that you can’t go wrong with their menu. I have tried most of it and I love it. The price I can only describe as wows. Don’t miss out on their incredible lunch specials. They cannot be beaten by taste nor price. Restaurant in need of restoration badly. The restoration I am recommending is to make place bigger with more parking so that repeat customers as myself can easily decide to visit more often.
The food was good. Authentic Trini food. The oxtail was nice and tender, the curry chicken was also very good. The stew pork I found a little salty. The rice and peas was amazing. The service was quick and people were friendly.
Still one of the best spots for good Jamaican food in Miami. Location could use a facelift finally after all these years and make it more modern and spacious. Food is good and fresh always. Staff is as usual very pleasant and always service with a smile. I will always be a customer as long as they are in business.
Ordered over phone and was told 20 but took about 40 minutes!! Medium oxtail and load of rice that is just not needed. Makes the tray heavy but not from oxtails! I asked for extra gravy on rice but it was dry as the Sahara! Cabbage was bland. Plantains were good. Did not eat it all being that it was mostly rice!. And lastly the attitude of the servers were not welcoming at all! No hello welcome to only stares
My first time visiting the restaurant and getting food from there. The lady at the front (assuming she's the owner), is very nice and that makes the service nice. Order before you get there, because they seem pretty busy. Only complaint I have, is that the table cloths need to be changed, because they were a little dirty when I sat down to wait for my food. I personally didn't eat the food, but was told it was good, just the gravy they added wasn't.
The food was insanely good, however, I'm used to my brown stew chicken being slightly sweet, and this one wasn't. It was also way spicier than I'm used to. The second star was lost because giving only one sweet plantain is ridiculous. That being said, I will eat here again.
This reminds me of Jamaica. The food tasted good but it seems as if the jerked chicken was old. We also tried the oxtails and curry chicken which didn't disappoint. The prices seem to be on the high side but based on the availability of other good Jamaican food, they can get away with it.
The wait was long, the customer service was passable and the food was ok. I had the jerk chicken lunch special which came with the chicken (sauce on the side instead of being on the chicken for some weird reason and not much meat for the amount of rice to balance it out), rice and peas (really good), steamed cabbage (pretty good but bland) and a plantain (yes, only 1 and not particularly tasty.) It came with a drink for the same price (fruit punch or lemonade) and the lemonade was passable. Not fresh juice some type of concentrate from a bottle dumped into the machine to make it cold. I ordered a piece of festival (slightly sweet, kinda greasy and totally tasty bread) and that was the best thing I ate!! Wish I had ordered two! This was the first time visted Cliff's and probably will be the last. Unless I just happen to be in the area again, I doubt I'll make a trip to go back.
The food tastes like any other Caribbean restaurant I've been to, nothing special. It tasted like it was leftover microwaved, not freshly prepared. The prices are on the high end for the portion sizes. I've had better-tasting island food, with bigger portions, for much less!! The amount of time we waited for the food to be served was really ridiculous, and as I said the portions were so small!! Parking is also a headache. I do not plan on going back.
FOOD - AMAZING, top-notch, A-number-one! No one better! SERVICE - points lost here. Why can't we have TWO behind the counter instead of one? It took us longer to check out than it did to check in and eat. OVERALL - the woman who served us is a very nice, sweet woman. Very friendly and personable. I can't come here, though, if I want to get in and get out.
Food was the bomb! This location is more of a take your food and go! Atmosphere inside is dark and a bit run down.. I had a pound cake and it was dry, seen to be hitting out too long if you know what I mean. I had their jerk chicken, it was good. Spicy for my palette.
Customer Service nice but slow. Waited 3 minutes shy of an hour for food. That's ridiculous. The oxtail dinner was good but nothing special. The wings were the same exact wings from the 7-11 just double the price. The shrimp was nice and tasty. This is a place you need to place a phone order from and pick up an hour later. Will probably not return unless i have a day to waste. 3 simple orders almost $70.00. Crazy oh and conch salad was old and watered down with hard flakes of conch...yuck
This spot has been here at least 30 years The authenticity of the famous jerk chicken is lost. I can make this chicken at home and just buy their spicy sauce. But the chicken is not bad 1/2 pound or pound. Good home style meal. Quiet quaint location.
Dine out only. Food is usually good but I've had a few missed. Service.... takes your order and nothing else, not even a smile.
X lo meno la comida muy buena. Pero el lugar es un desastre
The food was not great i had the oxtails with rice/redbeans the rice could have been a cheap brand which you can taste, the oxtails did not have that authentic jamaican flavor, it wasn't worth the amount i paid for and i was extremely hungry which we all no when your hungry everything taste good. Honest truth the food was served hot which is a plus, is it eat able yes would i come back here no 👎👎
I paid 30 for 1 piund of rice and five pcs of goat....makeit make sense
Escovich fish was maybe boiled or steamed not fried. Jerk chicken a bit dry, they held back on the jerk saide when we asked for it on the side. Maybe other items I didn’t have are better. The cabbage is not good try something different.
The last time I patronize this establishment the food was horrible. The oxtails were tasteless the rice was watery and the cabbage had no taste. Nevertheless, I understand sometimes it's the cook so purchase a meal at your own risk.
Yes the food is very good. the staff is beyond rude and it states on their website 10% off first on line order. Not true at all , I was told I don't know what you are talking about. No manager available, then it comes off in processing. None of that is true. They called to tell me the order would be ready in 30 minutes do I still want it. It was 55 minutes later when I got my food. The food is good be prepared for stone faced, uncaring, rude people giving you your food.
Stew peas is my favorite meal. The first time I ordered stew peas from this restaurant earlier this year I made up my mind that this restaurant was my go to for this specific meal. But ever since the first time it’s gone completely downhill. The pigtail just doesn’t taste like it was salted ever. It has no flavor at all. I’m not sure if they started using unsalted pigtail or changed chefs but I won’t be ordering again.
I've been going to cliffs for many years. The quality and taste has decreased. Akee and salt fish was very bland. Half cooked dumplings and banana. I used to love the oxtail dinner. Oxtails bland and tough. Won't be spending anymore money with them.
I was in town for Memorial Day weekend 2025 attending the Best of the Best Music Festival. This restaurant was at the festival. I waited in line for 2.5 hours to try their food. Yes, the festival was very crowed, but to wait for this long only to receive very small portions of food was very disappointing. They also ran out of certain food items. They should have notified the infinity line of people when they had sold out of specific food items. I paid $55 total for jerk pork and oxtails. The food was NOT worth the money spent. The services wasn't great either. Please do better at the next festival.
Food is really old. Oxtails are chewy, the rice not cook properly and super mushy in some part. I completely threw up the few chews that I took. First time eating here. Terrible. Look how old the dumpling look the plantains are not fresh at all.
It’s a solid no for me. The little sauce taste like salt water with browning. Jerk chicken and jerk pork were definitely leftover from the day(s) before. Beef soup need to be cook more. This place is actually terrible and I was so embarrassed to have taken someone here… never again. There’s a lot more I can say, but I’ll keep it at this. So many other options to go to.
The food was horrible , peas and rice was bland oxtail was very dry and stiff plantains was dry I will not purchase food anymore got food poisoning I was threw up nonstop and stomach was very cramping all night 😡😡😡😡
I don't know how good the food is but customer service really sucks there. I handed the lady at the counter a 100 dollar bill instead of saying sorry we don't take larger bills she proceeded to say the bill was a fake. like come on who say things like that like I would want to get arrest for some oxtails. So I guess they don't make counterfeit 20's.
Food taste like water... Bland no Flavor, not against women cooks- but she should retire. People were complaining while we had dinner... Resturant CHARGES 3.7% for using credit or debit card. Will NEVER go back.
Had this place for the first time the other night. The food had to be AT LEAST 3 days old. It’s was TERRIBLE. Waste of money. First and LAST time eating here. 😝 highly disappointed. I can’t cook and my cooking would be better than this place. 🤣
Rip off !Never again ! 1.customer service ridiculous woman in the front acted like she was the customer we had to continue to get answers out of her, she used short response and after she took our order she went straight on her phone. She provided incorrect information on menu. 2. We ordered two oxtail dinner with no oxtail!!! It was just bland rice, dry cabbage and plantains they made it look like it was oxtail but it was funny mystery things w sauce all over it. Very disappointed my First and Very LAST time going to that "resturant" The worst representation of a Jamaican Resturant, smh. Wish there was a no star review because they deserve no stars !
Hope there were an options for ZERO STAR order from them by Uber got the food a Large oxtails rice and beans it was smelly and tasted spoiled. They were disrespectful when I call to ask the complaint.
This place has a smell that’s so bad I couldn’t take it I asked for a refund and the waitress didn’t know how to refund me I have eaten here before for years it need to be remolded, the smell and look makes you not want to eat the food
Just bought some Ackee & Saltfish. No taste, no seasoning, missing ingredients. Very disappointing
I wish I would give this less starts but the rice was very soggy and food had NO taste like it was a watery I also read a lot of the reviews and one said the place had rats. As I was eating the food somthing kiat wasn’t sitting right with me I felt like I saw somthing in it and that’s what lead me to read the reviews in the first place. Smh
Food was burnt and asked for extra gravy and got no extra gravy. Cashier was rude. Paid over $20 for my food and was very disappointed. Taste like there was NO SEASONING whatsoever. Tried calling to complain no answer. Would not recommend this place.
Dry, old rice and beans. Stale, tough oxtails. Staff was friendly but inefficient. Couldn't eat any of it - threw it in the garbage.
The food taste like it was rewarmed or it was some left over chicken and rice. The rice was mushy and taste like it was made with sink water . My plate was made so sloppy . I threw my food in the trash, The food has no freshness to it. Honestly, they should close this place down, the food will make you sick.
Unfortunate for Cliff's is not the same. The rice was definitely rewarmed. The oxtails though plentiful had no flavor. The stew peas the same. Meats were plentiful but not flavorful. My daughter actually threw up
I’m surprised this place has 4 stars when I only gave it one in order to leave a review. The beef patty was disgusting and tasted old. I also ordered a small beef soup only to have two small pieces of beef inside. The soup was watery and full of nothing but vegetables.
Dam I have always heard about this place and wanted go try it tonight but when I came in to pick up an order for someone else instead of being greeted nobody was there so I checked the order and closed the bag and confirmed order. as I was doing this a woman said don’t touch the bag lemme see your phone first don’t touch anything without me fixing the bag which she never did just very poor service
Was my go to for oztails. 3 times is a row horrible oxtail. Last time so salty unable to eat . Called twice told and expressed concerns . They called back and addressed concerns. No response. Spent 50.00 last time on food and they didn't care or offer solution. All they care about in the money. I nerver leave reviews but the public need to know Horrible experience. End of story.
Rice always smells sour. Stingy with the meat.
The food was not what I thought it would be I should’ve kept riding past because I didnt like it
$51 dollars for 2 plates a food and a drink. This has to be the worst oxtail and curry goat I had in my entire life. Rice and peas was Blah. The cabbage literally had no taste. Everything tasted like nothing. No season at all. This was a waste of my hard earned money. Never Again!!!!!
I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years. And I really didn’t want to write a review to tear down a black owned business. But I really don’t understand how they sell $14 breakfast and only give you a side order of salt fish/ ackee with 7 pieces of banana and 2 dumplings. I’ve told them this multiple times. And today I was ready to pay for extra. The lady otp said I would have to pay $9 for extra salt fish???? Why would I pay $9 when you all charge your customers $14 for a side order of salt fish. And it just sucks to see you all slowly lose business. Every other Caribbean restaurant is packed in the morning and you all refuse to give better customer service being stingy with the food when people barely come for real. That is NOT NICE.
I’ve ordered here twice. First time I had the jerk chicken… and it tasted awful. I decided to give them another try, and go with the number 1 recommendation, the oxtail.. and it was flavorless. Had no flavor at all. Tasted like I was eating meat with no seasoning. Both times.. I literally tossed all that jerk chicken and OX TAIL in the trash.. Hard to admit that.. but it’s true.
