Cuckoo Clock Brauhaus Miami Reviews
Wonderful authentic German food and brews at the Cuckoo Clock tonight. We enjoyed speaking with owner Stefan who told us the sausage we ordered is made by an American who apprenticed in Germany. Waitress was really nice and attentive. For dessert, Americano coffee, strudel with vanilla ice cream, and Black Forest cake were all delicious. We heard German being spoken as we entered - always a good sign. If I were a local I’d return for their happy hour (offered all night on Tuesdays).
Family friendly, local, reasonable prices (especially for beer and wine), and great service. What more do you want?! Also, very attentive and kind staff. My husband is half German and the Bavarian dishes and Riesling are the real deal! The wurst could be a bit better cooked but the red cabbage made up for it!
Honestly forgot where we were in Miami for a moment. Wood, warmth, soft light…. the city noise disappears and suddenly you are somewhere else. A small Bavarian cabin feeling, cozy and intimate, like a little staycation in the mountains. The food is great, authentic and comforting. You feel taken care of without effort and especially without rush. You leave fuller than when you arrived, not just from the food, but from the feeling of having escaped, even if only for a while. A real hidden gem if you are craving german food and a cozy atmosphere.
Been here multiple times in the last 2 years and the food is so good, it tastes homemade and authentic. Compliments to the chef! I like their selection of beer and wine too. It’s really cozy in here, especially on a cold or rainy night and it’s very unique given that we’re in Miami.
Finally a German place with great food and beer. Lots of attention paid to the recipes, ingredients, and beverages. The beers can’t be found elsewhere and the hot wine during the cold days hits the spot. Authentic and excellent.
From the moment you walk in you know it’s legit. The owner is extremely friendly , balances by the perfect dose of sarcasm from the Irish bartender Nicholas !! The food was as authentic as you can get without crossing the Atlantic !! The potato pancakes and schnitzel were almost as good as my Muttis. Will definitely be back.. over and over
Closest German cuisine and convenient to get too. Food and atmosphere was excellent!! Menu has plenty to choose from. Had the pretzel, potato pancakes, schnitzel and the delicious apple strudel. All tasted so good!!! Will definitely be back again real soon.
We used this restaurant to cater our Shredtober Fest 2025 event, and everything was absolutely amazing! The food was fresh, flavorful, and a huge hit with all of our guests. A special thank you to Nicole, whose service was exceptional from start to finish — professional, friendly, and so attentive to every detail. She made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. We’ll definitely be hiring them again for our next event! Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and even better service. — The Moscoso Group
This place is AMAZING. Some of the best German food I’ve ever had! Authentic, fresh, homemade— just absolutely perfect in flavor and in portion size. The service is also outstanding! Everyone is so friendly. We had to drive quite a ways to get there, but we will definitely be going back!
Wow. This place provides a truly authentic German dining experience, aiming to transport you to the heart of Germany with its warm and communal atmosphere. The food is fresh, delicious, and locally sourced, featuring German specialties like schnitzel and bratwurst. They also host events celebrating German culture, such as Oktoberfest, and offer a unique venue for private events with live music. Overall, it feels like family, enjoying great food, music, and a festive atmosphere.
I have lived in Germany for over 15 years and this is the closest I have had to authentic German food in Miami. Not pretentious but good food and great beer
What a cool little restaurant in the heart of little Haiti. Cuckoo Clock Brauhaus really transports you to a place far from south Florida. Wood, leather, fur and liederhosen are found throughout. The vibes are immaculate. We ordered maybe the best pretzel I’ve ever had. The veal schnitzel was insane. And the sausage was perfectly crisp and juicy. Pretzel bun too! Wish they opened before 4pm… perfect lunch spot.
My boyfriend and I stumbled upon the spot in little Haiti the other day and we’re absolutely blown away how good this place was! The bratwurst sandwich and the Curry wurst were delicious and tasted very authentic and of course we loved drinking the Hofbrau beer! There were lots of people at the bar, watching the game and the atmosphere was great for an afternoon well spent!
Great place! Awesome German food. I love European vibe and I feel like at home there
Love this place so much!!! Music, food and customer service is A+. Sandra and Nicole are the best! I looooove them🤗🌷🤗
This place is a great escape from the craziness of Miami. Solid German food, incredible service, and beer is top tier. It’s the best German food I’ve had outside of Berlin. Schnitzel is actually the best I’ve ever had. It’s super flat and large- very crispy.
If I could give this place 10 stars I would. A little apprehensive of the neighborhood but once we walked in, it was like we were in another world. The decor and feeling was warm and I felt I was in a German establishment. Nice bar, cuckoo clocks on the wall, a red swing and indoor secure outdoor seating. The staff was amazing, service was 10 plus, new utensils with each course and they offered a warm smile the entire time. Fabulous German beers, of course. The pretzel was the biggest we have ever had at a German restaurant with a dipping cheese sauce and mustard. The potato pancakes were excellent, served with the standard sour cream/applesauce. We each had a different schnitzel dish and one was better than the other. Potato salad was not pure vinegar and excellent. Spätzle had a crunch and was the best we have ever had. Could not find one thing not to love except the neighborhood, with free street parking and the Spatzle serving was a little small. Highly recommend as our new favorite restaurant and we will be back over and over again !!!
Best German food in Miami! Portions are huge and the food tastes authentic!
AMAZING restaurant! Seriously the best German restaurant - being German myself I can 100% attest to its authenticity. The owner was the sweetest! He greeted us at the door and was very welcoming. It is apparent that he put a lot of work and effort into his restaurant. We had the cheese fondue, schnitzel and sausages and all were delicious. We will definitely be back! Go check it out!!
Genuine local German restaurant with a courteous host. The food was served in a timely manner and it was excellent. The Curry Wurst was enough for two people, it was a bit spicy which I see as a positive. The Apfelstrudel was really good. The pretzel here is the only pretzel I've ever enjoyed and I would gladly eat a whole bowl of their beer-cheese sauce.
Food was delicious, I was in love with the vibe. Amelie made us feel welcome from the moment we got there, she was super attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Can't wait to go again
I am literally writing this review from the car after eating here because the food is PHENOMENAL. The most authentic german food in miami, there is no place like it. If you are looking for berlin style curry wurst, or the thinnest schnitzel of your life, look no further than cuckoo clock brauhaus. also the staff is so kind and welcoming, this is definitely a hidden gem.
Easily the most authentic German food in Miami. Everything is freshly made and it shows. Parking and the area is a little tricky but who doesn't love finding an awesome hole in the wall.
Fantastic New Delicious Foods, Amazing Beers & Wines! Great music & atmosphere in the most authentic part of Miami. Stefan, one of the 2 German owners, originally from Munich, Capital of Bavaria! He's very friendly, kind & nice person. Stefan is welcoming & makes you feel at home & like a regular. Stefan, will love to meet you. Ask Stefan about the German & Belgian beers & the food! Caroline, who's the extremely nice & friendly bartender. Originally from Belgium, she really knows her beers, wines & German food. Food was delicious & fresh. No frozen foods. No greasy foods. Fresh & cold beers & wine. Food is locally made by local chefs, shops, butchers & bakers for this truly authentic experience. Prices are great & fair. Free street parking. The atmosphere feels like a festive ski lodge in the German & Swiss Alps. This restaurant is authentic, impeccable, fresh & real. We will be visiting this restaurant often. They have an outdoor beer garden where you can smoke, drink & eat. 2 impeccable & elegant bathrooms. Overall: Excellently Fun & Delicious!!
Looking for a German Food and finally I found this restaurant nearby my house. The staff friendly and above nice. The food was awesome in quality and quantity. We will be back soon.
My friends LOVED the food. Everything was perfectly fried perfectly cooked. Came here with friends didn’t eat anything but fries cuz I’m Vegan. I did suggest they have a vegan version of a schnitzel (which is totally possible) and they def agreed so hopefully they put it on the menu soon. Service was amazing and props to the chef!
Considering that Miami is dominated by Latin American cuisine, this 'hole in the wall' German gem is a fantastic find! As per other reviews, the food is delicious! And the HB Original is very fresh for being in Florida (compared to HB house in Las Vegas). Would highly recommend for experiencing good vibes and everything that makes Germany a great country to visit!
Cuckoo Clock is an Alice in wonderland experience in Miami. An authentic German restaurant with Swiss chalet vibes where you feel entertained by the German born owner meeting and greeting everyone walking through the door. Tasty food, friendly staff, amazing beer selection and great wines.
Located in little Haiti on the NW side of 54th street, the Cuckoo Clock is a bit off the beaten track. Most guest arrive by car. Once you step in you are immediately transported out of State. My American friends said it looked like Colorado but I believe it’s supposed to give a Bavarian German vibe. Whatever it sparks, it’s good as it feels different, down to earth and personal. The menu has something for every palate so you can go with all your friends with dietary restrictions. I had the Gulasch which is served over a bed of spätzle. It was perfect. Meat was tender , carrots not too soft and the right amount of spicy. We had the cheese fondue appetizer which was delicious and served in a cute ramekin. The waitress was a very a attentive and knowledgeable German lady. We enjoyed the German apple cider. It’s different to what you get in America and I love the original German cider taste. Try it. For some reason it’s not on the drink menu, but they have it! All in all a great experience. We managed to rake up $60/person without tip and didn’t have a desert. But I think that the prices are average for Miami. I wouldn’t consider the place high end or expensive but it’s so delicious that you just want to try it all. I will be back for sure.
If you want to travel to Germany without flying 10 hours, meet with authentic people in Miami + drink beers + eat great food (Cordon bleu is my favorite), this is the place to be!! Stephane, the owner is a great guy, super kind!!
What a delightful little hole jn the wall in Little Haiti. Food is excellent, beer will get you giggling and the owner is extremely personable with his service and eccentric. Highly recommend for a chill meal or coming for a Futbol match
I highly recommend Cuckoo Clock! It’s a great place to watch sports, enjoy high quality food, and the servers are very engaging. I was really happy to see they had multiple vegetarian options (vegetarian sausages pictured). They also have a large beer and wine offering. I’ll definitely be back.
Great place for early morning soccer Saturdays. Live music on the weekends. A big German Festival happening 10/24 - 10/26. You need to be here!!!!
Authentic German food, people and atmosphere. Service is fantastic and the food is great. Highly recommend
Stop in yesterday for mid day lunch after long flight. Very nice & professional waitress & food was delicious. Fried & salted perfectly. I'll be back again...
Wonderful German food done very well. Plenty to choose from various specialties.
Such a great, casual place to hang. Authentic German food served, and my husband loved the vegetarian options. They have an amazing veggie bratwurst -- grilled to perfection. Go and chill, and u can practice your French with Amelie and your German with Stefan!
This bar makes you feel like home! From the delicious and authentic German cuisine to the freshly imported beers on draft! A great time for any occasion. Highly recommend. Say hi to Stephan the owner, who is a regular and will be sure to show you a great time!
The best schnitzel and potato pancakes I've had outside of my bubbe's cooking ❤️❤️❤️ Stefen is amazing!
This is the real thing. Authentic German menu and delicious food. Six of us ate almost everything on the menu and drank every beer and it is the real thing. Don’t let the location and curbside look deter you. We were there 2.5 hours and it cost less than $50 each with generous tip. We hope it stays around. \\
A very pleasant restaurant, recommended for German cuisine, the atmosphere is very nice and the service is good.
This place is an absolute gem, and I'm SO glad to have a spot like this in Miami! The ambience is like a cool, kitschy slice of Alpine ski coziness. The music was fun, but not intrusive so we could chat. The food was excellent, really delicious and generous portions. And if you're a fan of German beers and wines, hard to beat the list. Plus the owners and staff were so friendly and inviting. We had the best time, and we'll definitely be going back (often!).
Wonderful experience! Had a great discussion with the owner, Stefan. He can talk to you about anything. Stephanie is a very pleasant waiter here. If you wanna practice your German, this is the place! The beer is plentiful, and the place is cozy.
We were in Miami for a couple of nights due to business. I was craving a good German meal (I know, so many other dining options in the Miami…) but since we (combined) lived in the Netherlands and Germany for many years, we opted for good German food. We were grateful that it was open on Monday (just started); we got there early since we were close before heading back to hotel. Server/bartender was great; she was very attentive. We ordered the Kase fondue, good beer and wine and Wiener Schnitzels for dinner. All delicious.
*Cuckoo Clock Brauhaus* is Miami’s best-kept secret, offering a hidden slice of Germany right in the heart of the city. This cozy spot captures the essence of a traditional Bavarian beer hall, with its rustic décor, welcoming atmosphere, and of course, a collection of cuckoo clocks that add to the charm. It's the kind of place locals rave about — a hidden gem where the food, drinks, and ambiance all come together for a perfect evening. The menu features hearty German classics done right. Their *Bratwurst* is flavorful and perfectly grilled, served with tangy sauerkraut and rich mashed potatoes. I also tried the *Schnitzel*, and it was crispy, tender, and generously portioned. Pair any dish with one of their expertly curated German beers, and you're in for a true treat. What really makes *Cuckoo Clock Brauhaus* stand out, though, is the feeling of discovery. Tucked away from the bustling city, it has an intimate, local vibe that makes every visit feel special. The service is friendly and knowledgeable, making you feel like part of the family from the moment you walk in. For anyone seeking an authentic, off-the-beaten-path experience, *Cuckoo Clock Brauhaus* is a five-star destination that’s worth seeking out. Whether you're a beer enthusiast or just in the mood for comfort food with a European twist, this spot will leave you planning your next visit.
Best kept secret in Miami. My friend told me about this cute restaurant built out like a ski lodge in little Haiti. The food was delicious (beyond) the prices very reasonable as were the portions. Authentic German food.Food was delicious. Potato pancakes best I ever had. Good selection of German beer. The service was excellent and the all around vibe was a pleasant surprise. This restaurant is a gem! Hard to in Miami these days. Checked all boxes.
Very good German food. Very attentive staff and courteous service.
Incredible spot! Super cozy atmosphere, and the food and beer are next-level. The service and hospitality make the whole experience even better—special shoutout to Nicole, our waitress, who was amazing! Easily a 100/100—can’t wait to come back!
If you open the door to Cuckoo Clock, you will be surprised by a Swiss ski lodge feeling, which is very unique especially in Miami. Great place for authentic German food. The owner is a great person and welcomes each and everyone with a smile. Service is on point and very quick, if your glass of beer is empty. The chef does an amazing job and has all the skills to make you feel like you are in Germany. Thumbs up for the team and owner.
Great atmosphere! Our server was extremely nice and explained the menu when I needed some help. We ordered the shnizel, the soup of the day (it was shrimp soup) and potato pancakes. The food was very good! Their german beers were also delicious. I would recommend checking it out!
Great to find an excellent German restaurant so close by. The owner (Stephan) and staff (Nicole and another gentleman) were super friendly. Chef Aiden was working hard in the kitchen the day we went and created some super dishes even though he just catered to a large party crowd. The German fried chicken was a knockout, the red cabbage, the spaetzle, jagerschnitzel were all outstanding coupled with a nice Hefeweizen. My wife and I really enjoyed our dishes and will definitely be going back. Thanks for the great food, and fun time we had there!
The best German food in town, I enjoyed so much , all the food was delicious, I ordered the potato salad and the curry wurst , the beer was also amazing, great service and very nice people, always smiling. The restaurant is very cozy and gives you German vibes. Definitely the spot to go. They also have this great happy hour that is totally worth it.
Girls’ night at Cuckoo Clock did not disappoint! 🇩🇪🥂 Went with 2 friends and everything we ordered was seriously delicious, real comfort food, full of flavor. The service was on point, super friendly and attentive, and the music made the whole place such a vibe. Good food, great energy, even better company. Already planning our next visit!
Phenomenal atmosphere. I came for the schnitzel and beer, but everything the whole menu is delicious! We had a large group and ordered a lot of food in order to sample the menu. We were truly surprised by the quality of all the dishes, plus the great service. I can't wait to go back.
The food was excellent, the atmosphere was the best. We have spent time in Germany and we meet the owner, it was such a a pleasure to speak with him. If you love authentic German food, make sure you check this hidden gem out.
We finally found a great German restaurant in Miami. The potato pancakes were great, as was the Brat sandwich that came on a delicious and home made pretzel roll. My wife had the schnitzel and really enjoyed it. They have a great selection of beer. The owner and staff could not be more kind. This is a gem. We will be back!
The absolute best German food in town! Couldn’t be more grateful for a place like this in Miami. The ski lodge aesthetic really transports you elsewhere, while the food is authentic and made with love. All day Happy Hour on Tuesdays? Wunderbar!
Fantastically authentic! Different take on a German ambient than all the Bavarian beer halls you come across. Food was top notch as well. I had the cordon bleu!
Finally got to check out the new German place in Little Haiti! I heard from friends that it was highly rated for its cool funky ski lodge vibes! The owner and waitress Carolina are super friendly too! Obviously the menu had many choices but had to choose the schnitzel and bratwurst! We will definitely be back and I recommend you check it out too.
We loved it! We started with the Wirtshauspretzel and then we ordered the Bavarian Burger and the Grilled Brattwurst Entree while drinking a Chimay Belgian Blonde Ale and for dessert an Apfelstrudel. Didn’t take any photos but the food was really good!
You NEED to come here. I almost don't want to do a review of this spot and keep it a hidden gem all for myself, But I also want it to stay around forever. This is a place you need to visit for some of the best Bavarian-style cuisine. The hearty nature of the food is such a delight to have in Miami’s food scene.
First time in this restaurant, and the food was awesome!!! Authentic German cuisine in town. We tried white piquette named gabernick 23, which was absolutely refreshing. We also ordered a wirsthauspretzel, came out hot and fresh. And also a weisswurscht that was delicious. Definitely going back to the place and try more food! DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.
Had the pleasure of going by to the Oktoberfest hosted by the Cuckoo Clock bar. This is the most authentic German party I’ve experienced in all of south Florida. Real German Schlager and Wiesn Music. I will continue to come back! Highly recommend if you want a true German gastronomy experience. Liebe Grüße und vielen Dank 🍻🫶🏻🥨
Best German food in the 305 ! We don't need to go to Broward ever again for the best schnitzel. She loved the sausage platter..we had two. See you soon. Keep up the great work ! PROST 🍻 🥂 🍻
This just physically manifested as a result of my earlier X post. Thoughts become objects. ~W. Andrea Ziarno Master Manifestor A fine Good Luck Irishman stepped outside and we chatted for a minute. I walked inside and met the German owner originally from Munich. It looks like a proper Beirhaus. X @WitoldZiarno
I just walked in for the first time and I already felt like family. It’s one of those places where the owners are in the front of the house treating the place like their own home. Everyone that walks in through those doors is quickly made into a part of it all. I’ve only been there twice, and they know my name and even remember what my favorites were. Nothing like having a place where you can walk in, feel truly welcomed, and where they ask you if you’ll have “your usual” and get it right without needing to confirm you drink order. Love this place. I wish them the best and I wish everyone gets to experience its magic. Danke!
Small but mighty atmosphere. Get the closest to authentic German cuisine and feel in Miami. Owner Stephan makes everyone feel welcomed and appreciated.
Great place had a great German lager happy hour the chef Eric was top tier top notch does his thing on the beat!! Def recommend anybody coming to try German food to pullls up with an appetite
We just had some beers on this trip. Several great German beers on draft and in the bottle. I did not see Franziskaner but I did enjoy a Paulaner, which is a favorite.
Awesome atmosphere with amazing food! Feels like home. Love watching football games all week long! Great live music and events throughout the year. This place is the best!
Being from Germany myself this place is the best and most authentic bar in the US!! I came to Miami for 5 days and got stuck in Cuckoo the entire time. Great ice cold Bavarian and Cologne beer fresh from the tab, beautiful tunes and amazing company. I felt home at cuckoos and can recommend it to everyone who loves beer and great vibes!!
I visited the Cuckoo Clock Brauhaus while being in Miami and as someone from Munich I can honestly say the experience felt very authentic. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the interior is really cute and thoughtfully designed. It truly captures the feeling of German and Austrian culture in a charming way The food was excellent. The classic schnitzel in particular was outstanding and tasted just like the original you would get in southern Germany. The dishes are traditional well prepared and very satisfying The service also deserves a special mention! Dandra welcomed us very warmly and was incredibly kind and attentive which made the visit even more enjoyable :) I can fully recommend this place to anyone in Miami who wants to experience authentic German and Austrian cuisine and culture whether you are a local or just visiting.
We had an amazing Saturday afternoon here! The food was delicious, drinks were cold and cheap, and the sarcastic Irish bartender is absolutely hilarious and took great care of us. Highly recommended for a cozy, authentic German bar.
Wow wow wow! This is a gem of a restaurant- with an easy location to find! The food is incredibly authentic with homemade sausage and spatzle that is to die for. I will travel 45 minutes for this any day, especially veal schnitzel. Nicholas the Irishman is bound to give you a run for your money that will keep your glass full and you laughing the whole time. What a great experience. The owner was incredible- working just as hard as his staff and making sure all of us are happy. Keep the locals in business!!!!
Really great spot. The service was friendly and quick, and the food came out hot and fresh. The sausage was super flavorful and cooked perfectly. They also have a solid selection of authentic German beers, all served nice and cold. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you’re getting. Simple, authentic, and just a really enjoyable place to go. I’ll definitely be back.
I’ve been in the States for 8 years, and I don’t say this lightly: I have rarely been this impressed with a place to eat. With my mighty 300 lbs, I dare say I’m more than qualified to judge food. From the moment you walk in, you’re hit with a truly lovely German aesthetic—the real deal, not some theme-park version. You sit down, take one look at the menu, and you already know: this is going to be good. All the beers you could want. All the food you could want. Our group of equally committed gourmets went all in: original veal schnitzel, currywurst, cordon bleu, German meatballs, and then… more. Every single dish hit exactly where it should. But here’s the real reason this place stands out: the owner. Cool as hell. He clocked that we were German and gave us the most honest, no-BS recommendations on what to try. No upselling—just passion for good food and beer. What started as dinner casually turned into a four-hour hangout—great conversations with all kinds of people, endless good beer, and fantastic food. Exactly how a proper German night out should go. 10/10. Can only recommend.
This place is awesome! Great to watch a football game (beware of the Bayern fans though LOL). Food is excellent and beer selection out of this world. Highly recommend the curry wurst and any of the schnitzels (they’re all great). Def check out their Après Ski parties if you have a chance, they go crazy!
Super rico!
— The Moscoso Group
All amazing! A genuine german restaurant. The owner is cool and proud of his business! I enjoyed eating, talking to people at the bar and feeling in Germany a little bit!! I had a fondue! So good!! The only problem is parking. The area around it is dark and not very friendly…
We dined there to try it out because we like German food. my girlfriend‘s dish, which was the schnitzel was superb. It was a definite five stars. My dish was the grilled brats. They were serve cold. The server Sabrina was very very good. The interior has been described as a swiss chalet. Not really. The air conditioning in the restaurant could use some work. There was a fan behind us, which absolutely helped. However the next group after they arrived, asked it to be turned off. Why I can’t quite understand. We drove about 16 miles to get there. We will probably not drive that far again to go to This restaurant. Like most German restaurants the side dishes were Tasty but very small.
Been here every couple of months but recently was very disappointed by the many fruit flys flying all around the bar. The bartender was even waving them away. Food is great and the German beer selection is very nice. But they really need to clean. Two dogs running around inside also does not help.
I dined here recently and was immediately unsettled by the surprised expression on the faces of the waitresses. After I selected a table, a waitress approached and requested that I relocate. Because I had walked some distance and had hunger, I switched tables (why the request to switch tables? Is it because I am a person of colour and evidently disrupt the sea of whiteness?). I was seated at a side table in front of the bathrooms, with a faux window sticking out beside me (so I was not able to relax on one side). I ordered the Münschner Weisswuerscht and a potato salad. The pretzel bun that accompanied the salad and the potato salad were good. If you're a person of colour, don't come here. The sausages were just OK. Their desserts are pricey too - 14 dollars for an apple strudel. This restaurant makes me want to avoid Germany. No 'Auf Wiedersehen' for me. I renew my call for persons of colour to boycott this restaurant for their bizarre treatment.
