El Pub Miami Reviews
Absolutely loved this restaurant! It was mt first time in miami even though I live in Florida and we went to calle ocho. This restaurant had live music and he was amazing, the food was a decent price and was absolutely amazing, drinks were fresh strong and the service was friendly and fast! Highly recommend this for a night out. Personally, I wouldnt bring my kids as it was more adult vibes but def worth checking out!
I went to El Pub multiple times during my stay and ordered different dishes; everything is flavorful and well seasoned. The decor is charming and old timey; there was a live band on Saturday, and they have karaoke on Wednesdays. The service was amazing.
This is one of those places in Little Havana that has an amazing vibe, from people working there and the place itself. The Empanadas are to die for; carnitas, espinaca & cheese, ropa vieja. Can't go wrong with either! They do breakfasts too. We went for dinner, had a cuban sandwich (excellent stuff) and a bean soup that was nice too. Caty, the waitress, was amazing!
I didn’t realize this, but about two years ago I came to this same restaurant on spring break! Well, anyways, I came here again and actually got something other than beans and rice, and the sandwich the server recommended me was so delicious! Their strawberry mojito was also very yummy, and so were the two shots I ordered! Deffo the best spot in the nearby area.
Food was fab. Live Cuban music. Our server Ray was very helpful even tho our Scottish accents were strong but she was very understanding and we got exactly what we ordered. I didn’t take a picture of the food but I did our cocktails. Atmosphere was lively and just what we wanted from our first visit to little Havana. Highly recommend.
Heard from a true 40+ year local this is the best Cuban sandwich in the neighborhood and he was right. LOVED the atmosphere. Great mojito and Monday they are on special.
We had a great lunch with our three kids. Every dish was delicious — the meat and the sides were perfect. But what we loved the most was the live Cuban music. We’ll definitely come back!
El pub was an amazing spot. They always have Mojito Mondays promo which are hand the actual price. These Mojitos are the ones not those washed down ones, they hit the spot. They also make some big juicy wings. They staff is welcoming and warm.
The Cuban cafe con leche was very refreshing and the meal was also delicious! We’d come here again. Oh, did I add that the service was impeccable!
Amazing vibes, great drinks and great music. The band was killing it and the $6 mojitos were slapping. We were there for so long we ended up getting croquettes which were also killer. Great spot.
Simply the best value meal the wife and I had in our two days in Miami. For dinner we split a Cubano sandwich, soup and beers all for $28 and we even had leftovers. Not to mention both soup and sandwich were terrific.
We were early for a cruise and wanted to get brunch, so we got an ride share to Little Havana. Our driver recommended El Pub, so we took him up on it. The food was AMAZING. The coffee alone was worth going! I had the Pollito y Flan, which was unique and so, so delicious. My +1 had the Vaca Frita a Caballo. We ended up sharing meals because we couldn't decide which was better. Totally worth the trip!
I LOVE the empanada de lechon, it’s really tasty with lots of felling. We also were able to have the special they have on Monday’s, $6 mojitos
Right in the middle of Calle Ocho, free parking in back of restaurant available. Great, varied menu offering many options. Sit outside to get the flavor of the area!
If you ever find yourself wandering down Calle Ocho, El Pub Restaurant is an absolute must visit! The food is pure comfort, rich in flavor, perfectly seasoned, and served with that unmistakable Cuban soul. From the first bite of cuban bread to the last sip of café cubano, every dish feels like home. The service? Simply wonderful. Our waitress, Nelly, was the sweetest, attentive, friendly, and full of that Cuban warmth that makes the whole experience unforgettable. You can tell she loves what she does! If you want to experience the real heart of Little Havana, the music, the aromas, the laughter, and the food that tells a story, then this is the place.
Incredible, our waitress Lourdes was very good, coffee cuban coffee was divine, this staple of a breakfast was off the charts delicious, smartly priced, extremely friendly in a tourist area. Grabbed an outside seat with lots of cooling fans. This experience was very nice..Thank you El Pub

My visit to El Pub Restaurant in Miami was nothing short of spectacular! The Cuban sandwich was pure perfection—crispy, golden bread, melty cheese, and zesty pickles that hit all the right spots. Paired with their bold, aromatic Cuban coffee, it was a meal to remember. I shared the experience with friends, and we were all swept away by the vibrant, warm atmosphere—lively yet so inviting, like stepping into a beloved family gathering. What sets El Pub apart is its incredible Hollywood connection. Knowing that scenes from Power on Netflix, Ballers, and War Dogs were filmed here made dining feel like a brush with fame! The staff were so friendly, sharing fun tidbits about the restaurant’s storied past, which added such a special layer to our visit. Whether you’re craving authentic Cuban cuisine or want to soak in a place steeped in Miami’s cultural and cinematic history, El Pub is a gem. I’m already counting down to my next visit!

We had Zarzuela De Mariscos seafood dish and it was so delicious. Night time atmosphere is amazing with live music
This Cuban restaurant on Calle 8 in Little Havana was fantastic! The mojitos were delicious, the 4 leches cake was to die for, and the fish I had was really good. The salad was fresh and crisp, and the service was excellent! Sitting outside made the experience even better, and the atmosphere was super charming, definitely a place to enjoy!
My first stop for breakfast in this area. Angel was the host and spoke English. Angel was able to help me from outside finding parking to going inside to sit down. Angel is an Excellent Host. Yamilette R. was my waitess/server she was good as well. The food was very good. The coffee was awesome. The mango juice taste great. Everyone was kind. Thank you for having me and my mom.
Excellent restaurant with lovely food I love the atmosphere and the environment how it's decorated. Andre provided an excellent service for us and the food is tasty. Leandro cuba Was another friendly staff give us tour around restaurant and tell us history behind of each picture. We had a lovely time there Highly recommended
First time visiting El Pub Restaurant and we were welcomed with the typical warmth of Cuban and Caribbean people. The service was really good up to very moment we left, specially Bryan and Marianela, who were very attentive to us. We ordered tamales, potaje de garbanzos, a Cuban sandwich and milanesa de pollo (which was huge) + some mojitos. The amount of food, the price and the taste were all very good. The ambiance was excellent! It really gives of Cuban vibes and they had live musicians playing, which added a nice touch. At one point, they even put on us straw hats which was really funny! Overall, we had a great experience and we definitely recommend anyone who wants to try Cuban food and have a good time to visit El Pub!
Fantastic place to visit in Little Havana. The food was delicious and we were blessed with live music.
Phenomenal! This place is delicious! Great Cuban authentic food!. Large portions as well and the prices are reasonable. They have live music that adds to the flair! Service is good and the staff was extremely friendly. I would say kid friendly, tho there was not a kids menu. We ate with our kids here at about 7pm for reference. I definitely recommend this restaurant for great food and fun atmosphere!
A great place to eat in Little Havana. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service. Large portions of tasty food at a reasonable price. Excellent Mojito cocktail. I recommend visiting.
The real Little Havana experience. First arrive and Angel welcome us with smile, genuinely happy to seat us. Such a warm feeling. Laeti was our waitress and my Spanish is very little and she managed to make me feel good and encouraged me and kept it professional. Food was delicious and great portion. Great drinks too, simple, authentic decor ! Loved it! We went back 2 nights in a row. Thanks to Angel and Laeti - wonderful people.
My daughter really wanted to have Cuban food and we picked this because it seemed to have a more than usual vegetarian options. There is parking at the back but we had already parked elsewhere. It was a bit busy and the waitress was running around. We got seated pretty quickly. The food took sometime to come but we ordered a lot of fried food so may have taken some time. The food presentation was so nice. We ordered fried rice that came with plantain chips, yucca fries, malanga fries, and spinach and cheese empanadas .There are choices with eggs if people are open to eating eggs. The prices were reasonable. The food tasted good and I was happy that we could taste some Cuban food even though there aren't many vegetarian friendly options elsewhere. The outside area is nice too.

Elizabeth was our server and she was so wonderful! We had a large group (18 people) come and join us and she served us wi the a smile! The food was delicious and we’ll absolutely come back for our girl Elizabeth!
I want to start by saying this is the best Cuban food in Calle 8. I got the Masita de puerco with Moro and yuca. The pork is so tender it falls apart and it’s juicy. The waitress Lety was very welcoming, helpful and very nice. Also, the mojito is delicious and strong. I really recommend this place.
The Pub WOW!!!!! From when you first walk in the vibe and energy of restaurants that I remembered growing up in Miami. The food was amazing from my steak and rice to the black bean soup the reminded me of grandma beans . The service was A+++ and you need to try the Mango Tequila drink for sure . I highly recommend this spot for breakfast launch or dinner or a quick happy hour drink and appetizers .
Gisela was the perfect waitress. We had fun with her and she looked after us. Great pub, great music, great food and great atmosphere. Thank you so much. Love from us from the UK.
Update: Went back for lunch next day- which was delicious! Yusnavy was our server and she was absolutely delightful! 🩷 Friendly service was the first thing I noticed when we ordered a Cuban espresso. We wandered back for lunch- a tasty mojito and a Cuban sandwich. Generous portions and the bread / sandwich was delicious.
Came to Miami to find delicious Cuban food and found it here at El Pub. After the beach, I was craving a frita Cubana. We checked out a few places until we came across El Pub. The vibe was right and the prices were good. We sat down and was greeted by our amazing server Katy. She even told us a little about how this location came to be a staple to this ever growing neighborhood. So sweet and welcoming, thank you ❤️ Will definitely be coming back next time I’m in Miami
First time visiting Little Havana as a couple In Miami Florida whilst on holiday, we were looking for a place to eat for lunch, El Pub Restaurant caught our eye as it looked busy (which normally means good to us brits) and the atmosphere looked great! We were greeted by a friendly gentleman named Ariel who served us lovely food pictured and his service was excellent! Highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you are visiting Little Havana and looking for a bite to eat, I have no doubt I’m sure dinner there would’ve been awesome also 🤙🏼 Thank you!
Wow, what a place!!! Ok, l end up at Little Havana- Miami this time, right in the heart of 8th street, there is this place call El Pub, l was honestly just there for a couple of mojitos, and then it happened, we were greeted by the most friendly, yet not ivasive, and well trained crew that you can ever imagine, our server Luis- the peruvian, gave us a culinary tour through the menu and provided the best recommendations that we, (party of three), could spect. We found amazing flavors of traditional cuban cuisine, cooked to perfection, brought to our table on perfect timming and graciously decorated, not even mention the extraordinary mojitos we took. We even met the owner a fine lady that took the time to have a chat with our table. This place is a must, don't miss it!!! Way to go El Pub Team!!!
Great restaurant with friendly staff and a phenomenal genuine cuban sandwich. Prices were good considering the area, and there was entertainment present that was quite good. I would consider this a must-do if you are wanting a cuban sandwich from little Havana!
I came out to Miami for my birthday and this was the first place my uncle took me. I was looking to try more Cuban cuisine and this was the SPOT. I had the Vaca Frita steak for the first time and it was really good. It’s basically crispy shredded beef. The meat was juicy and flavorful. The onions went well with the steak. On the side I had white rice and black beans can’t go wrong with that combo. I love flan so when I seen they had a flan milkshake I had to try it. It was real sweet and creamy and was honestly the perfect embodiment of a flan and milkshake combo. On my last day in Miami I came back. This time I had to order the Cubano sandwich and it was fire. First off presentation was on point. The bread was toasted nice and crisp. The meat inside was juicy and had that Smokey taste to it. I love the pickles. The fries as garnish was nice. I really wanted to true the cuatro leches milkshake but they ran out so I got the flan again. That milkshake was still good. Service was pretty good. I love how it’s more of an old school vibe. The waiters were amazing and on point with everything. The complimentary butter bread was nice. Overall, this is a dope Cuban restaurant in Little Havana. The aesthetics are nice and old school. If you’re in Miami looking for Cuban cuisine this is the place.
Katy was well versed in explaining everything about our food. She was kind and took the time to connect with my children. They all loved her! We will definitely be returning. Great experience!
I stopped by El Pub Restaurant for breakfast, and it was a delightful experience! I had the breakfast vaca frita and coffee , and both were absolutely memorable. The colada was perfectly rich and strong, just the pick-me-up I needed, and the vaca frita was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The authentic Cuban flavors really shine here. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the cozy atmosphere added to the charm. Highly recommend this spot for a true Miami experience
If you're looking for an authentic Cuban experience without the high cost, consider this place. Nice lively music, colorful atmosphere, good people, good food. It's a pub, but a good family atmosphere - at least in the afternoon. We had beef and chicken empanadas for appetizers. For much, chicken breast sandwich, shredded beef dish and a shrimp dish. All tasted great.
If you're looking for some tasty Cuban cuisine, I highly recommend this place. The service is great and the food is excellent - definitely worth a visit! I especially enjoyed their Cuban sandwich and ham croquette, they were absolutely delicious. Give it a try, I'm sure you'll love it!

Phenomenal meal and amazing service. My waitress Katy was great and very attentive to us. Sadly I can’t give more than 5 stars for everything, but let me say you won’t regret walking into this restaurant and part of Calle Ocho’s history.
I got the sautéed shrimp, my friend got the skirt steak, both were delicious. Happy hour is until 8pm. We were served timely despite it being Valentines day weekend. Server was helpful. Music (not the live, we were outside listening to the music played on the speaker on the patio) was a little loud. Other than that terrific time
Been here twice: for a breakfast and for a quick drink. Breakfast options are quite varied though they were out of pancakes that was bit of a let down. Portions were big and filling. The best thing is their mojito Mondays - you can get delicious cocktails at only $6 for the whole day!

I had the ropa vieja and a margarita. The food was great but the margarita tasted like cough syrup. The service was good and the atmosphere was relaxing. They had live music.
I visited El Pub Restaurant on Calle Ocho and the food was absolutely delicious! I had the ropa vieja it was sooo good, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. They also had a live band playing great music, which made the atmosphere nice and chill. The only downside is that they don’t allow split checks and don’t mention it upfront, which would’ve been helpful to know ahead of time. Other than that, it was a great experience and I’d definitely come back for the food and vibe!
As we weren’t hungry, we didn’t order a lot of food. Only order this seafood bowl to share. But this surprised me, super yummy with fresh seafood! Amazing!! Service was okay, busy or slow I don’t know but you won’t see them often.

El Pub Restaurant in Little Havana offers a truly authentic Cuban dining experience. The food is flavorful and well-prepared; their Cuban sandwich and ropa vieja were definite standouts. The portions are generous, making it great value for the price. The atmosphere is cozy and vibrant, capturing the essence of Little Havana. The service was friendly, though a bit slow during peak hours, which is understandable given how busy the place gets. If you're looking for classic Cuban flavors and a warm, welcoming vibe, El Pub is a solid choice. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait if you visit during prime dining times!
We had the chicken and cheese and ham empanadas and they were good, but nothing crazy (I read so many reviews about the empanadas, but we weren’t surprised). The chicken had more flavor than the cheese and ham. The ham croquette was so good. Better than the empanadas to be honest. We had a tropical milkshake/smoothie and it was interesting. Really refreshing! The downside was when my husband was finishing up his empanada and he saw an ant on his napkin
Overall, a very nice experience. Almost all the food was delicious. Sandwiches were delightful. French fries, salad, burgers… lovely. The coffee was exquisite. However, the garlic absolutely overpowered the shrimp. A shame they made such an unforgivable mistake on my most expensive item. The waitress was ok. Nothing too enthusiastic but she was courteous enough. Gratuity of 18% forced upon you for parties of “1 or more” rofl.
I visited this restaurant on two occasions. The mojitos are amazing I recommend the guava and pass fruit ones the coconut monitor is good just a little sweet. I had rops vieja with morrow and salad all were great. One the first visit the female server stayed and hovered when she brought the check for me to fill out. I was trying to reach for my glasses to see the amount and she pointed at the 20% tip amount i asked her to go away and gave her the 15% which i had to write in. ( I understand she probably comes from somewhere where there is no toilet paper but to be that hard up for money makes the whole experience un comfortable. I went later the same week with a group of friends that were visiting from out of town bill had to be all on one card so one person was forced to pay for 8 people anothet award uncomfortable situation. The food is great , drinks great, other staff members great. The tipping incident and not being able to split a bill not so great
Food was really really great. Service was crap. We waited a really long time for a waiter to acknowledge us and our food was brought out in all different times. We ordered apps and they came out with the meal…. Then I had to go get a waiter for the check and to-go boxes. We were there for two hours during lunch….
Restaurant location is very convenient. Waiters are very experienced, I just told her what I like and the dishes she offered me was great. I give four stars because they brought me the bill even though I did not ask. I was actually planning to have one more drink. Anyway not a big deal, my overall experience is very good. Elder local people is hanging around here, some of them playing instruments.
The food is very authentically Cuban. It's located on Calle Ocho, one block away from Domino Park. My party and I ordered yuca frita, potato croquetas, tamale casserole, and grilled fish. I learned that I prefer fried yuca over boiled yuca, but everything else was delicious. This is a nice place to eat if you're looking for some good Cuban food.
I liked the wide selection of dishes and snacks from Cuban cuisine. prices ok. Our older waitress forgot to write down one dish we ordered, but since the portions were huge, it worked out for us. I also had to remind her for the coffee I ordered. big minus - smelly toilets, it shouldn't be like that. You can find free parking directly behind the premises.

waited for 30 minutes and nobody took our drink or food order. Their excuse for this was we needed to wait. We were never brought waters either.
Open late! Authentic cuban cuisine, the chuletas hit the spot. Room for large groups and accommodations for small kids too!

Good authentic food. Great prices. Friendly service and great atmosphere, perfect must go spot in little Havana. Great happy hour and drink specials during the week too!
Good sitting but it’s just not of my preference but the food was good and go during the night and was happy the atmosphere.

The food is great, but make sure to bring your patience as it does take a long time to get service especially on a busy dinner hour but as I said the food is worth the wait. Our server did not always know if the kitchen was out of something, so we would wait for a while for an item, then had to wave the server down to see if the food was coming, only to find they were out of that item. We highly recommend the Calamari and the empanadas
WOW! I loved the feel and atmosphere of this place. It is not kid friendly as they do not have a kids menu. The food and drinks were amazing and authentic. The taste was undeniably good. I loved the flavors of the mojitos. We had the cuban, ham and cheese empanada, and the deluxe cuban. The staff were very busy due to the festival going on and were a little short to the partons in the there. The prices were ok compared to other places in FL. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting and dirty! The toilets had overflowed and there was trash everywhere, had I seen that before I ate I would have left. When we let the hostess know she brushed us off. I am hoping it was just due to the festival that was going on.
Brought my mother here after a long day of touristing. This place was very clean, large and had plenty of seating inside and out. My mom ordered fresh squeezed orange juice and it was spectacular. For dinner I ordered the chicharrónes de pollo that comes with two sides of your choice, I went with white rice and yuca al mojo. They were served in large healthy portions that I had plenty of leftovers. The chicharrónes de pollo were delicious, juicy. The yuca was really good. My mom enjoyed her vacation frita as well.
Wow ya veo que este lugar no es para ti si no eres turista. This place is no longer for anyone that’s local. Food is DOUBLE the price of anywhere else I was actually in shock when i picked up my food. Tres leches in container would be $4 max anywhere else, average pan con bistec price is $10-14 anywhere else in Miami. Super shocking and saddening.
Good experience until it was time to pay, check your receipts and make sure the waitress gets her tip, the cashier at the time told the waitress we didn't leave a tip. It was very embarrassing fo…
Had many recommendations for this place and although the food is pretty good, the service was not great. Even during non peak hours it seemed like there was quite a delay in service. The server only came over to take our drink, take order then didn’t see her again. We had to get up and pay for our food at the entrance. Definitely had a bit better expectations for it being one the of the go to spots on the street.
While the food in this place is good… the server we had was quite rude she brought our bill to the table and stood watching me count the tip. I had counted out the 20% tip to which the server told me was not enough and she wanted more.. because of this rudeness I put the tip back in my wallet and left no tip. Staff should keep in mind tips are customary not mandatory and to ask for more is plain rude.
We were a group of 13. It wasn't super busy. It took 30-45 minutes just for a waitress to take our drink order. Then another 30 minutes to deliver the drinks and take food order. Finally when the check came, the waitress had added 2 extra plates to our check. It took another 15 minutes to get these removed after arguing. They didn't even bring us waters! We sat down at the table 2:28 PM and walked out at 5 PM. At least the food was very delicious and authentic.
The El Pub Restaurant of yesterday's is not this place. To a real Cuban this place is not authentic Cuban food. To the tourist they solicit they would not know. The flavors are not there they are not authentic Cuban food. Their service is horrendous an hour for a sandwich. We decided to give a simple sandwich another try. The tuna was watery, watered down with no flavor. The steak sandwich had no flavor & didn't even taste like a steak sandwich. All SW 8st up & down is a tourist trap. Nothing authentic with some few exceptions.
What a horrible experience. We sat down and were ignored for over 15 minutes. We were not even offered water. Finally flagged down a waiter and he said first come first serve. We got up and left. I knew I should not have gone back but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Never again.
We arrived for a drink during happy hour prior to happy hour by 20 mins. By the time the waitress came over to our table she declined giving us the happy hour special even though it was 757
I have never felt so disrespected by a restaurant manager in my life. Before our full party even had a chance to arrive, we were confronted by the manager, Angel, simply because we parked in the back lot while waiting. Instead of greeting us like guests, he approached us with hostility and aggression — speaking to us as if we were trespassing criminals rather than paying customers. There was no calm explanation. No courtesy. No professionalism. Just an immediate, confrontational tone that felt like harassment. We were embarrassed and shocked at how quickly the situation escalated over something so minor. What made it even worse was the complete lack of professionalism in both behavior and appearance. A manager is supposed to represent leadership, class, and hospitality. Instead, Angel presented himself in a sloppy, poorly dressed manner and carried himself with arrogance and rudeness. It was astonishing that someone in that role could behave this way toward guests. A restaurant’s atmosphere starts at the top. If this is how management treats people before they even sit down, I can only imagine what happens behind the scenes. We came to enjoy a meal. Instead, we were made to feel unwelcome, uncomfortable, and harassed. Absolutely unacceptable.

El Pub: Savoring Authentic Miami in the Heart of Little Havana
Listen, if you’re wandering down Calle Ocho in Little Havana and your stomach starts rumbling for something real, you gotta pull up a chair at El Pub. This isn’t just another spot; it’s where Miami’s heart beats, right in the middle of all that vibrant energy. You’ll notice it’s one of the busier places, especially around lunchtime, and for good reason. My go-to recommendation, and a consensus among the locals who’ve been here for decades, is the Cuban sandwich. Seriously, folks swear it’s th...
