El Taquitos Miami Reviews
Loved it! Staff is really kind and food was amazing. Highly suggested!
This place has changed for the better.. the place looks amazing and staff are so lovely. Thank you David and William!! We loved every moment and enjoyed our drinks and food. *btw they’ll play your music of choice*
This place was so good. I love the outside area, every food item we got was amazing, and our server Raul was so kind and did a great job with service. It started raining and Raul helped move our table immediately. I highly recommend people checking it out and trying the guac, so so so so so good. Loved the ambiance as well.
We really enjoyed this dinner. They have a really nice patio section with some nice fans for cross breeze. We got two different tacos. One of them was a platter with rice and beens. The tacos are a traditional street taco style. Everything was well seasoned and was good. We got a strawberry margarita as well. This also was good. You can see from the picture they used a flower for presentation which was a nice touch. Our waitress was very friendly. We would definitely go back.
We enjoyed this restaurant as one stop on pur own made-up food tour of Little Havanna. We got a cold draft beer, guacamole, tacos, and the thing that comes on fried plantain. All was excellent.
If you love Mexican food this place is very authentic to taste. I loved it here. We ordered. Shrimp tostadas. Nachos with beans and cheese. Flautas dinner. Bucket of Corona and a Passion fruit Margarita. It was all so good. Great customer service.
Excellent option for vegetarians in Little Havana. Everything was so delicious and the service was great. The ambience was lively and fun, and we were lucky to get a somewhat private space at the back. We got the supreme nachos, quesadillas, burritos, and taco salads. All of them were custom-made by removing meat for us and the staff was very thoughtful in anticipating our needs and getting us what we needed. Highly highly recommend.
We were visiting Miami from Chicago and we stayed in Airbnb around the neighborhood. We checked into our Airbnb and then walked to this place around 8;30. The place was very crowded when we went but the waitress was able to find a table for us outside. There was another noisy undergrad group next to our table. But the overall experience was good. We ordered their soup, chips and guac, Vegetarian Tacos and corn. Their tacos and guac were very fresh. The soup was very tasty. One thing to note here is that the gratuity was already included. Good food and service with an ok atmosphere.

Delicious food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. It was right next door to our hotel (Sonesta) and we were happy with the convenience of the quick walk over. You definitely have to try the Birria Pizza! What a delicious innovation!!
Absolutely delicious I went to celebrate a friend's birthday the guacamole is to die for! I had the fried fish tacos absolutely delicious there is a drink called the Jamaica I loved it the waitress was super friendly we gave her a big tip she deserved it we had a blast it was a perfect evening a definitely must try props to the Cook I will definitely be going back letting people know about it I even took a menu they deliver but since I do not live so close I will possibly be taking out can't wait to go by again for any previous bad reviews I'm so sorry you had that experience because mine's was excellent when they brought out the chips they brought out different sauces and these pickled onions I loved the pickled onions God bless everyone hope you enjoy this place who ever goes
Hello. Just wanted to take a second to commend El Taquito on their food and service. I’ve gone twice in the past week and I plan on going again soon. The food is delicious and the restaurant is a wonderful atmosphere overall. Raul was very nice and attentive and makes the best mojito. I would recommend the experience to anyone looking for great food and drinks!!!!
Food is so good. Best tacos I ate. Drinks are a plus. They are quick. Spicy sauce is amazing
I recently dined at El Taquito in Little Havana, and it was an incredible experience! The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, perfectly reflecting the vibrant culture of the area. Our server truly elevated the experience by providing thoughtful recommendations for both drinks and taco options, and they did not disappoint. The tacos were bursting with flavor, and the fresh, homemade tortillas made them even better. The drinks were refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal—definitely try what the staff suggests! We also couldn’t resist the ceviche, which was light and flavorful, and the churros were the perfect sweet ending. El Taquito offers not just amazing food, but also an authentic and warm dining experience. If you’re in Little Havana, this place is a must-visit!
Loved this area. Good atmosphere and great for people watching. We did not eat. Had a couple of drinks. Not cheap.
Got the chicken quesadilla, the best I've ever had!!!
Our server Nani was the best, always attentive and caring. The food is amazing! I recommend to ask for the side of spicy sauce because their food is not spicy 🥺 but overall, delicious! Great place!
This restaurant in Little Havana is a hidden gem. Authentic Mexican cuisine. I had barbacoa which was tender, savory and the salsa Verde on the side is in my opinion the best I have had.
I want to leave my experience in this restaurant. The food taste was great. I asked for tostones of stake my admiration with the cheff, I want special congratulations on the waitress and server Aylin really professional very nice attention and polite, my drink was perfect coconut mojito, the only complaint was a little bit hot the location need more fans, I hope this bisness keep growing blesses.
Really great tacos. The local beer on tap was excellent. If you're looking for some good tacos and beer at a great price I would definitely recommend this place.
Such a good place! The food is just amazing! Love it 👌❤️
An excellent Mexican restaurant in the heart of Little Havana. The food was amazing, nothing I had tasted before. I can also recommend the strawberry margarita. Also, the service made our experience even better. David was an excellent server who patiently explained our options and gave suggestions based on our preferences.
Went here on our last day of our stay in Miami and it was our first wedding anniversary ❤️ This is the best food I’ve had in a long time! My husband and I are both vegetarians and Shalia was extremely sweet and kind and made our day more beautiful! My husband surprised me with a little cheesecake and Shalia went overboard and decorated the plate as well. It was the sweetest thing ever!
First time here after passing by this taco spot many many times. Finally decided to pass by with family and wow the tacos are fantastic. They are filling and explosive with flavor. I’m Mexican and family is Colombian and we both have definitely marked this spot as a go to for future. Also the service is on another level, our waiter Diego killed it. Super nice and attentive, knowledgeable and recommended some awesome options to drink 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great lunch, delicious food, very nice staff. Happy newyear
What a find. We had been out all day and getting very tired and hungry. We almost missed this little gem and stumbled into it and took a seat in a narrow area between two buildings. The young lady who served us was delightful and soon proved much needed beer's and water, quickly followed by very tasty food. The other guests were friendly and having a good time. Highly recommended if you are looking for an authentic experience.
I had Raul as my server, my husband and I had an amazing time with him. He improved our overall experience and made this an amazing dining spot! Drinks, food, lighting, atmosphere. Greatest spot before heading over to the rest of 8th street to party more. 1000/10.
Came here back to back days. Best quesadillas I've EVER had. Tons of carne. Great service. Awesome atmosphere. Will come back for a 3rd time! 🔥🔥🙏🏿💪🏿
Great service and even better food. Highly recommend - I don’t recall the young lady’s name but she was so friendly with excellent customer service skills which made us feel welcomed.
This place is so cute and quaint. The alley dining is so cool, and the food was amazing! Nothing like eating authentic Cuban food in Little Havana. The service was great, and it was reasonably priced!
Not just the best birria tacos I’ve ever had in my life— the best MEAL I’ve ever had in my entire life. Words can’t describe how good this birria was… I think I saw the face of god in the consumé hahaha
The four of us had a wonderful evening at El Taquito today. We had pollo a la plancha, quesadillas, burritos, and fajitas. Everything was wonderfully fresh and tasted sensational. The service was super friendly and attentive! If you're in Miami, don't miss El Taquito!
I had such an Amazing experience here at Alma the flavors were extraordinary and the service was above and beyond. I would highly recommend stopping by this restaurant if you want a taste of authentic Cuban food. Will definitely be stopping again soon.
Extremely happy with the food, service and people. Great veggie options and the food was fresh with good portion size. The staff was humble and helpful. Definitely recommend visiting here compared to the over hyped Chain and Ball in the same street.
Anna was amazing! She took good care of our party of 4, in a Tuesday when the house was packed! The food was great. I recommend the nachos supreme, chicharrones & guacamole, el pastor and carnitas tacos 🌮🌮🌮🌮

The atmosphere and the servers are really nice and friendly. The food is mediocre, it was good but I wouldn’t go there a second time. The portions are big though.
There are 3 large musician frogs in front of El Taquito. Order the Tamarindo drink. You get a free Tamarindo popsicle on top for sweltering Miami heat. They are not Mexican tacos. No fresh jalapeños or salsa that Tejano Borderlanders are accustomed to. However, atmosphere and Vicente Fernandez, QEPD, singing in background is wonderful. Food is reasonably priced and I ate all my chicken tacos.
Food is great, good prices, the queso fundido is very small. But the worse is the michelada. That’s a beer and tomato juice for $18!!!!! NOT GOOD AT ALL!!! This is really price gauging just because is “calle ocho”, That’s what the waitress said!!! Is really good but outrageous price!!! I will never get that there again in my life! Other places charge $6. Not even premium alcohol costs that much! I should have looked at the price before, but who would have known! My bill was $65 for a michelada $18,1 taco 3.50, 1 queso fundido $7 and one margarita $10. Plus 15% tip I clouded which I gave an extra 3%.
I won’t come back here, food was “ok” Enchiladas came with dry tortillas and NOT on an authentic sauce ( I can tell the salsa came from a container) beans and rice were NOT fresh and very little cheese. Nachos with guacamole came with NO cheese ( what kind of nachos are those) waitress was not great. Definitely not coming back here.
A standard restaurant with the option to improve. Food was way too under spiced, sadly kind of boring. The staff could be more friendly as well. But I liked the details of the restaurant design, everywhere you had a chance to see something new.

Food was very good! The elote was very authentic and the flavor was just right! The rest of our party also enjoyed their meals. A couple of warnings, or things you should know. If you order a virgin piña colada, they will charge you full price, as if there were alcohol in it. Second, if you use a credit card, they charge you the processing fee, but you don’t know unless you read the “fine print” on the menu. In summary, good food, but a couple of things that in my opinion, made them 3 stars only!
I used to be a regular customer. The food, service, and atmosphere were a 5 star every time I came by. I recently visited, and I immediately noticed the change. New staff, cookers, the ambiance has loss sparks (I can't explain). I still gave it a try to the food, but I left so disappointed. The food tasted plain (no flavor), the horchata drink wasn't in the regular consistency (instead of milky and sweet, tasted like water with no sugar). Some dishes were fine, but when I saw the check, prices rise up. Sincerely, I won't be coming back. I understand that changes like this can be hard for a business 😪 I hope the best for the new team. PS. I have lot of pictures of what the food used to look the many times I came here to enjoyed every dish, but this time was so sad to even get a picture because even the way it's being served has change. I remember so well the taste of the food prior to this new team. It's sad
I've been here before for drinks which are Amazing and appetizers are pretty good. This was my first time having dinner. The chimichanga is SUPPOSED to be deep fried and mine was soft only crunchy on the bottom probably from baking, I couldn't wrap my head around it because the menu mentioned FRIED. I wasn't happy with it, not what I expected. I had a tired grandson so I didn't want to return the meal. The grilled chicken my son-in-law had was good and the chicken fajita was good. This restaurant does not accommodate special orders 😒. I won't be getting dinner here again but drinks for sure. No photos taken this time because for what purpose Ihadn't ordereda drinkthis time. 🤷🏽♀️
I went there yesterday wanting tacos, and ordered one chicken taco, one chorizo taco, a little corn appetizer and a cocktail. I requested the waiter to recommend me a cocktail and it was not my cup of tea, I didn’t like the taste (not a bad review, it was my first time trying this cocktail so I cannot compare). The tacos came really simple, the protein with onion and cilantro which was really simple and delicious! The chicken one was better than the chorizo. And the corn appetizer- I know it is supposed to be a small portion but it was really tiny for 7$ And the total came to around 43$ for all of it f Just for me…which isn’t really affordable. It was good but I will not return probably.
Food was pretty decent and had a great chat with the young gentleman outside the restaurant while waiting on our food but left feeling confused, the young lady serving us this evening put a gratuity on our bill without informing us, I increased the gratuity even thought we felt it the service was a bit unfriendly, I’m a server myself so wanted to be fair regardless, she pulled the machine away and walked away as if she were upset even though I was hoping to get a receipt, something definitely seemed off as she appeared friendly and jovial with other patrons. Left feeling disappointed in our experience but the young man waved us goodbye and that cheered me up.

CHECK YOUR BILL BEFORE THEY RUN YOUR CREDIT CARD! We were in the area and looking for a place to have a couple of drinks and munch on something. This place is a cute little spot so it caught our attention. My husband got a beer that was $6, I got a spicy margarita $14, ordered a pork rinds with quac appetizer $13. My friend called me to meet her somewhere else so we asked for the check. The server never showed us a bill he just came with the machine ready to swipe our card. He advise that the check was $46 total. At the moment my husband and I didn’t realize it but after he ran our card we asked him why was it so much and he said that they include tip for everyone, kitchen staff, food runner (same server), bartender and server (server was also the bartender, I saw him go behind the and make my drinks). He added 30% gratuities on our check without mentioning it. I understand 18% or 20% but 30% for two drinks and a quac?? Be very careful and ask to see the check before running your card. I hate it when they don’t bring a physical check because you don’t know what you’re paying for.
Food was actually quite good. Wings are great . Drinks were good, good quantity . Service was mediocre to poor. Lots of attitude, refusing to show bill until I refused to pay until I did. They slap on a 15% gratuity.
Stepped in for a margarita, the place was empty, and I took the first table I saw. It was dirty. Saw the other tables around and were also dirty. The place had a funny smell. Had already asked a spicy Margarita, so went outside and waited for it. Was really disappointed, overly priced (the most expensive in calle 8), and they left the jalapeño seeds in it, which made it a little harder to enjoy. The service does deserve a 10, and the Margarita presentation was also great.
I had a bad experience in this restaurant the food taste is really good but way to overprice , I ordered 2 tacos they gave me literally 2 strips of meat and not even half a lemon when I asked to put a little bit more meat they said that the portion so wouldn’t recommend this place all, also the meat look raw
If I can give this place a zero starts I would. I don’t usually rate places like this but one thing I can say this has been by far the worst restaurant I’ve ever been and trust me when I say so I review a lot of places. We went here while we were touring Little Havana we should’ve thought better a Mexican restaurant in a Cuban area stating it’s “authentic” let’s start with the cocktails horrendous! Really watered down I asked for a passion fruit margarita and it didn’t taste a bit of it my partner had a Paloma and it was technically club soda a cheap tequila no grapefruit. We didn’t even touch them after our first sips just nasty. The food: Presentation is great looks very well. I ordered the grilled chicken and it came with rice and salad overall the chicken tasted fine but the rice tasted so gross like if it was spoiled and even the dressing of the salad was bad they shouldn’t put any dressing to it. My partner had the chicken tostadas and when we left not even 20 minutes we had to pull over since he had to vomit! This ruined our anniversary dinner for the night since he had to keep going to the restroom and even myself. So please AVOID AT ALL COST!!! Also a 20% service charge is included even though they don’t even bother to come to your table.

The food isn’t bad, but the manager is disgusting, rude, and unprofessional. On top of that, they hide extra charges, which makes the experience even worse.
I never write reviews, but I dont want anyone to experience what I did tonight. Food poisoning. Worst service ever. Outrageous. This place is terrible. Avoid at all costs. We were told to sit wherever we want. We got menus and ordered drinks. After about 15 minutes with no drinks and no one stopping by to tell us our drink were on the way, I wondered if they had forgotten about us. Then, 30 minutes went by, and I was not happy. 30 minutes for 2 cocktails and 2 shots and still nothing. After 45 min when we finally got our drinks, I tried to pay so we could just leave. The waiter who only brought the cocktails, not the shots, said he thought we didn't want them at the same time. It had been 45 minutes. So we asked if he could bring shots and we could pay. He left and went to get shots. We got the shots fairly quick, but when we took them, we noticed they did not taste like tequila at all. My wife and I drink tequila all the time. She works at a Mexican restaurant that specializes in tequila, and we were convinced this tequila was watered down. So we asked the waiter what tequila he brought us and he said tequila. We then told him it was not tequila and if it was it was watered down. He apologized and offered 2 free tequila shots. We took those 2 shots and still tasted watered down. Worst of all, we drove for maybe 15 minutes, and my wife asked me to pull over because she had to throw up. She 100 percent has food poisoning from her drink. She got a michelada. It must have been bad, and now she's sick. So not only was that the worst experience we have ever had. Now she is throwing up and dry heaving on our vacation. Terrible service is one thing but getting people sick is not ok.
Worst place in miami! The food is oily and tasted bad. Moreover, the restroom is just in front of the kitchen with no door apart. The waitress are the worst I've experienced. The place itself is small and crowded. We asked for a table that is not under the direct sun and we got such a bad attitude from the stuff.
Went on Valentine’s Day before the rush. Only 4 tables seated and had both waitresses give their backs to us for well over 10 minutes. Sitting right next to the bar 4 feet away from us. There was 4 other staff inside just busy with their own world. Food was mediocre. Service was awful. Mango mojito was almost as bad and sour as the waitresses. The esquitue smelled like urine and the choco flan didn’t taste like anything. How do you mess up flan… First and last time I go. TikTok videos are false. Highly recommend you all goto La Diosa on 31 Ave and 8 street. 5 star service and food ALWAYS. El Taquito like most places in that strip of 8 street in little Havana are geared for tourists that don’t know any better.
One of the worst places I have ever dine NASTY managment to tell Me I drank more then half of a nasty margarita it was an insult. Took more then 30 min for the food to come out and then the bottled sofa HOT when asked they said here a cup ice sorry. I really don't recommend this place. Kids food raw as you can see the kids left there food that's how bad it was. 🤢🤮🤢🤮 if I can give a -10 I would.
I love my Mexican food. I saw this one when I googled near my area, but starting with the atmosphere to the cashier server, it was just a wreck unpleasant the value of the value of the food terrible nothing like they advertise the most delicious thing I saw there was their menu on Google extremely expensive I will never ever die in this restaurant again you guys gotta get your service correct and your menu not just what it looks like, but also serve it the way it looksand your service sucks
Baja tacos sucked. Very small and soggy tortillas fell apart making it difficult and very messy when I tried to eat. I pointed it out to the waiter and he didn’t seem to be concerned or offer to make it right except give me the bill which included automatic gratuity. 3 tiny tacos and 1 coke $25. Ripoff
SCAM alert. Waitress told us three tacos for $12 (twice), we took a Michelada and a lemonade. Which in total would be 43$.but the bill came out way higher (60$). They told us only the chicken tacos was at that price. When I said it was the waitress’s fault, she admitted it and told us that she was new. but still told us we had to pay because we already ate. That’s not normal, we basically got tricked into paying more than agreed. This is the worst you can do to your customers. Being rude to us after is crazy. DO NOT GO THERE.
Me and my friends had high expectations, but unfortunately the food was disappointing. The food looked nice, but the taste was bland and did not meet our expectations. The birria tacos especially were nothing like what we hoped for. We all disliked our drinks too — they tasted like nothing, something we’ve never experienced before. It was really sad that this was our experience, especially since we had to pay quite a lot for it. Overall, it was a real disappointment.
Got there around 10:24pm 36 minutes before closing, as soon as we walked the cook gave us a nasty face telling us that we can only get our drink to go, not only were they rude but they also overcharged us for two micheladas and on top of that they charged us for a large and they didn't want to give us a receipt so we had to take a picture of it. Such a disappointment because we work in the business and we would've left a big tip.
DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! Came here to kill a small amount of time between flights on December 27th and had a ridiculously bad experience. We (5 people) ordered food and two drinks (Mojito and a Corona) and when the food came, they completely forgot mine. I chose to be patient and just wait but after 20 minutes one of my friends took it upon themselves to notify them that they forgot about mine. At that point, I had actually told them that I no longer wanted the food and they walked away then came back a couple minutes later with my meal that had been completely forgotten about at the kitchen. I initially chose to forgive and forget in the moment, ate the meal, paid and left to catch our flight. We only later (and after we had already paid) discovered that there was an automatic 15% gratuity that we were not made aware of but also one of the drinks had been double billed! They “conveniently” didn’t give us the itemized receipt to go over before we paid and only provided it to us after paying. Had we actually seen that copy before paying, we would have addressed it all immediately.
Another example of another business doing shady business. We ordered the most simplicit entree on the planet to steak tacos two pork tacos and two cups of water. It took over 20 minutes to get served. The waiter got every single item wrong. When the food kindly came out it was served on corn tortillas instead of flour it was missing the guacamole and the sour cream. Shortly afterward the water we were so desperately craving in South Florida in the heat finally arrived. It took me another 10 minutes to track down the waiter so I could pay the bill... But the best is for last. I'm a man that scrutinizes every bill because I like my dollars and my dollars like me. My daughters don't like being tricked into somebody else's pocket when the total was 18 dollars plus tax which works out to $19.26. when I looked at the bill it said $22 and change. I looked at the waiter and said that's not right and he said it is and showed me the bill very quickly and said see service charge and then skip right back to the pay part where I was instructed to leave a tip of either 15 18 or 20%. I have to wait her to go back to the line items and show me this service charge which happened to be the gratuity of 18% that he kept his mouth shut about in hopes of being tipped twice which seems to be a common theme now in Miami. Shame on you Mr waiter, and shame on you Mr owner for attempting to swindle people out of their money for double the gratuity in hopes of retaining a loyal staff by increasing their pay without hurting the ownera bottom line. Essentially what you ended up with Mr owner was two customers that will never come back to your restaurant nor give you word-of-mouth but on the contrary I will steer people away. Any waiter that can tell me the price is a service fee followed by a screen that asked for a tip again sounds like a perfect match for whoever came up with that incognito tip system. Good riddens.
Ripoff
