MC Kitchen Miami Reviews
Beautiful restaurant in the design district. Easy to get to and one of the best valet service in Miami. My lunch looked and tasted delicious. Other meals i saw looked tastefully presented. Nice interior dining room open to the kitchen. Bar area is big and opens to the outside which is great. Only downside is there are no plant based options, although there are a few vegetarian one’s. Id definitely recommend adding some of those options to appeal to more people looking for a nice restaurant where they can also find something to eat.
A true Design District classic, the menu is solid with so many great options and must haves, you can’t go wrong with any of the options and also one of the best happy hours in the area! They’re currently offering a great pre fixed summer menu with some great options. Wether you’re having a power lunch or doing date night in the district I would 10/10 highly recommend!
Have been coming regularly and Frenel is exceptional! He always has the best recommendations and is one of the reasons we keep coming back. Order the Cesar and spicy mussels!
A Saturday Brunch Delight in the Design District!!! Nestled in the vibrant Design District, our Saturday brunch experience at this charming restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped in, the welcoming ambiance set the stage for a relaxing and enjoyable meal with friends. To kick things off, we started with the octopus served atop a bed of black risotto. This dish was truly incredible—perfectly cooked, the octopus was tender and flavorful, and the black risotto complemented it beautifully. The bacon glaze drizzled over the top elevated the dish, adding a delightful smoky sweetness that made each bite even more mouthwatering. Moving on to the pasta, the Strozzapreti with mushrooms and Italian sausage was simply outstanding. The pasta was cooked al dente, and the sauce was rich, with the earthy flavors of the mushrooms beautifully marrying with the savory hints of the sausage. It was a hearty dish that left us wanting more. For pizza lovers, the Molinari Peperoni was a must-try and did not disappoint! The generous slices of pepperoni were perfectly crispy and packed with flavor, sitting on a superbly baked crust that was just the right thickness. The service throughout our brunch was attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. We indulged in refreshing Bellinis, which were a lovely accompaniment to our meal. As we continued through the brunch menu, we couldn't resist the flat iron steak and eggs, which came served with crispy potatoes and a drizzle of pesto. It was absolutely delicious—a perfect hearty end to our meal. The location of the restaurant adds to its appeal, combined with a convenient valet service for just five dollars, making it easy to enjoy a day out in the Design District without any parking hassle. Overall, this restaurant provides an exceptional brunch experience, with delightful food, great service, and a friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic meal with friends.
Great dinner and service. Fritto calamari was breaded nicely and the veal Milanese was incredible. The fries were also one of the best I’ve had.
Spectacular place. Very clean restaurant with clean floors bathrooms tables plates everything is amazing , cozy and the service is great! Now the food and the drinks - drinks were absolutely delicious and the food was exquisite- one of the best pizzas we had, also the burger and the steak were awesome! Ps not sure why they brought melted ice cream but it was still delicious
One of the best restaurants in Miami! Especially if you’re looking for a modern Italian cuisine. Large restaurant with high ceilings, valet parking, amazing waiters, and utterly delicious food! It’s hard to find a restaurant this good! Maybe it just caught us off-guard as we were thinking it’ll just be yet another posh restaurant at the Miami design district but we’re pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend the truffle fries! Keep in mind that they are plentiful so you won’t be able to finish them. Don’t try… there’s a lot more that you need! Grilled shrimp Caesar was on point! Just the right touch of anchovies in the salad dressing. Tuna ceviche was delicious. I messed up and got the regular margarita pizza. Don’t recommend it but they do have a speciality pizza that I image would have been much better (truffle). Burger was good. I asked to take the cheese off and received a burger that needed sauce. Guessing it may have been different if the cheese stayed. Perfect skirt steak! Yum! Make sure to try the aperole spritz and the spicy drink (forgot the name). Both delicious!!! I’ll be back for seconds!
If nothing else, *come here for drinks & dessert!* The entrees are great as well but the desserts and drinks stand out. Came here for a birthday dinner with my friends while we were in town visiting. I only leave reviews when I’m very pleasantly surprised or super happy about a visit. The wait staff were so friendly and the food was great. The dessert menu looked amazing so we each ordered our own and we were very happy with that decision. All of the desserts were so good and the drinks were similarly impressive. We were hungry and the entrees smelled delicious so there’s no photos of our entrees but the food was overall great.
Visiting Miami for ArtBasel Week and my friends wanted to hang around the Miami Design district area. I was always recommended this restaurant but between events and work I didn’t have the chance to get to go. We were lucky to have find spot at their bar that is connected to the main area and the experience was amazing. Lili our bartender took really great care of us and walk us through the menu really well. Food was absolutely delicious and I can tell they really care about unique flavors. I had the pleasure to meet the owner, Brandy who happen to be at property during our visit, she was very attentive. If your in the area, definitely stop by.
Went by the other day and had an excellent lunch! The bartender Maria was great and made great drinks with excellent service. The food was very fresh and delicious as well. Great spot for lunch if you are in the design district!
Purchased a to go lunch here. It was very good. I’m still nibbling on the veal chop which was breaded and very large. I also ordered the octopus appetizer. The meal was somewhat higher priced then my usual, but the entrees were tasty and the atmosphere here is higher class. There are other entrees that are less expensive. They also have a very large wine selection here to. Overall this seems like a classy place to eat or hang out w drinks
Simply amazing. Had a wonderful dining experience. Our waitress was super friendly and efficient. And man, their truffle fries are amazing! Easily one of the best I’ve had as well as their pork chop. Overall, great great great experience and definitely will be back again.
This wonderful place in the heart of Miami Design District was perfect for us. It was a rainy day, in December, after Christmas, with our family, and they received us as special guests, so did they with everybody else. The atmosphere was fresh and culture mixed, mainly Italian but also American, Greek and French. Food was exquisite, we had the octopus, the milanesa, the fish, and the chicken, Pinot noir, expresó coffees, and they have valet parking of course. We didn’t have to wait, because we hadn’t made a reservation before arrival. Bathrooms were great as well and the service and attention rocks! Super cool! In groups, couples, family or by yourself. Don’t miss it !!!! Design is great too 🎀
While I've been to MC Kitchen for dinner, this my first visit for lunch. I as happy to say the food and service were just as top notch as dinner. Each dish was cooked to perfection.
Really nice Italian restaurant. The food was good, but what really impressed me was the customer service. It felt like we had 4 people working out table at once, it was quite impressive to say the least. It didn’t take too long for the food to come either. I ordered the french toast and it was delicious! Overall no complaints and I could definitely see myself coming back here.
I am not sure which of the dishes that we got was most delicious. I can’t make up my mind from the grill octopus the fried calamari with zucchini, the veal skirt steak with tomatoes and avocado pork chops with chick peas pure the delish pasta and fresh pizza. All menu is amazing served by this amazing chef who surprised all with the most amazing fries with Parmesan cheese and truffle. And let me tell you the antipasto is very delicious 🤤. This place went above my expectations. The chef Will definitely will impress you! And the desserts are perfectly delicious 😋 not overwhelming sweet neither blah… just a perfect balance between sweet and tart and sweet and creamy with a hit of alcohol in the tiramisu. Which brought a perfect balance with the cocoa, coffee and creamy mascarpone mix. This definitely was a treat. I can’t wait to come back to find my next treat. Thank you 🙏.
This is hands down the best Italian food I have had in many years. The ricotta Cavatelli is some of the best pasta I have had. I’ve been to many Italian restaurants and I’ve been all across Italy, and I would put this pasta up against any restaurant I’ve been to. I look forward to returning in the future with other friends and family to show them the cuisine.
Phenomenal! We had a great date night here at MC Kitchen! Our server, Niko, was very attentive and gave great suggestions on what to order! We stared with the Black Mission Fig Pizzetta and it was so delicious and unique! We also shared a New York strip with truffle fries ana brussel sprouts that were very good as well. We ended the night with a light and creamy tiramisu that was amazing! We look forward to returning here soon!
A restaurant you should try. The food, the drinks, the service, and the decor were up to par. I had a great time. My favorites: Warm charred octopus, Famous truffle fries, Garganelli Bolognese, the stone octopus (tasty and different), Casanova drink and tiramisu ( I enjoy eating it when I'm not a big fan of Tiramisu)
Semi formal Italian restaurant. Been coming here for a couple of years now and just love it. Food quality and service is very consistent and delightful. Shown in the attached photo is fritto misto. An appetizer very similar to calamari. Also shown a bibb lettuce salad, out of this world, followed by grilled octopus, highly recommended.
I have not visited MC Kitchen in a while. OMG! I will not stay away for too long again. Went for dinner last night, 5 star everything! Atmosphere, food, service, drinks! If you are watching the pocket book, be mindful of drinks' cost. A martini for $25 was a bit of a surprise. Good it was after the fact, because it was delicious & enjoyed it to the last drop, olive bite!
Been coming here for years. Absolutely love everything about this place from the menu, energy, music, ambience & people. I always sit at the bar & look forward to kicking it w/ Zeke & Eric. Brandi (owner) always makes it a point to say hi to her guest and hospitality is above anything else. I definitely recommend this place to any/everyone. Beats any place in Miami because of quality of food, service and attention to detail. In a city where things are aesthetically nice but trash overpriced food & even worse service, MC Kitchen, Brandi, Zeke & Eric make the restaurant business still have hope for the city. Definitely an example of what quality service is about. Must try their well-known truffle fries (if you can finish them), pork chop, poulet rouge. Everything on the menu is AMAZING! You will not be disappointed in anything about this place. MC Kitchen will beat out any restaurant in Miami and in your city.
Right off the bat from parking in my car And the hospitality from the Valet, You can tell the restaurant has a high regard for customer service. The food was fantastic and The waiter Made excellent recommendations for my first time. I will definitely be returning. I was glad to be apart of that experience.
Great food, especially the appetizers, pizzas and pastas, and desserts. Bar has great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
What a great time we had. I took a group of colleagues to MC Kitchen tonight. Great service and the food some of the best Italian food I have had in years. A wine list for the ages. It is tight and well curated. I will go again and again. A new Miami touchstone and tradition.
Excellent experience. Ambiance was great. Food was terrific. Vegan pizza was divine. Branzino was fresh and done right. Truffle fries… A+ Friendly service as well. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
Sat at the bar for a quick drink and we were treated so well that we came back again for more drink and the carpaccio. It was a flawless example of the classic and well worth the price. George and the other bartender made us feel welcome and treated us so incredibly well that we wished we had more time in town to visit their bar. Just a top notch experience.
I mean what can we say we walk in to this place and already the atmosphere was fantastic and then this server Salvatore change everything for us he suggested the food the wine he really knew what he was talking about and we trusted him so much and the experience was amazing .I’m gonna make sure that I will send a lot of Colombian people over there . Now the food was just super good . I definitely be back
Love this restaurant. Food quality is amazing. The Aspen Truffle fries are a must! The reason I come here or order from here every week is because of their Pear Ravioli. This dish just explodes with flavor. Highly recommend eating here.
From the moment you come in to the restaurant space you feel the great atmosphere. Friendly, clean, tables perfectly made. Great service, even the manager comes over , making sure you are satisfied with your meal experience. Thanks Ana María you made ours an unforgettable beautiful night . We will be back ‼️‼️‼️👍🏻
Love visiting today! Food was 10/10 everything was to die for and Maria Laura was the sweetest server! Can’t wait to go back
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. The gentleman at the bar that was taking care of me was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable in all of the cuisine’s not just the bar stuff. I ordered the fish which was delicious but I also highly recommend the fries with the sauce. The sauce which is a demi-glace was absolutely amazing.
One of my favorite restaurants in Design District!! Lili the bartender is very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She makes a great espresso martini. Always highly recommend.
excellent food, very nice service and I love the white table cloths
Amazing lunch for my wife and I. I ordered the garganelli bolognese, which is among the best pastas I've had (and that includes the pastas in my former home NYC) - absolutely enjoyed it. The truffle fries were out of this world - so good! The dining area has an elegant interior and has a modern feel. Manager Eloisa is very friendly and professional & our server Eric was excellent, frequently came back to check on us and making sure we were well served. Lunch or dinner here makes for a great date night/lunch, likewise for a group occasion. Will be back for sure!
I live in Japan and luckily been around the world trying the best restaurants. MC kitchen it did surprise me with the authenticity of the Italian flavor. Every single bite you feel the simplicity and delicious of the high quality ingredients. The food is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend
Absolutely Delightful! I had an amazing lunch at MC Kitchen in Miami! The atmosphere is chic and welcoming, with a modern yet cozy vibe that sets the perfect tone for a great dining experience. The menu is creative and full of fresh, high-quality ingredients. I enjoyed Fiocchi it was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection, and the Ceasar salad was the best ever. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations, which added to the overall experience. Whether you’re looking for a spot for a casual lunch or a more elevated dining experience, MC Kitchen is definitely a place worth visiting. I’ll absolutely be back again
MC Kitchen is always my go to restaurant when I’m having lunch or dinner in the Design District. It’s consistently delicious, service spot on and has a cool atmosphere. French fries are a must. I saw them on every table and they are amazing. Pizza, pasta, salads are all great options. In other words don’t miss a visit here!!
Celebrated my 50th at this amazing restaurant. Phenomenal service and food. Will recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. Thank you MC Kitchen for a wonderful experience!!!!
My favourite place to eat when i’m in Miami. Just had the most incredible meal with phenomenal service. Thank you for always making me feel appreciated.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently took my team from Miamicenterpieces to MC Kitchen, and we had the best experience! The food was outstanding—every dish was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was perfect for a team outing, and the owner was just fabulous, making sure we felt welcome and well taken care of. Highly recommend MC Kitchen for anyone looking for amazing food and a wonderful dining experience!
Went for an early dinner today, and everything was amazing. The beef carpaccio was refreshing. The ceaser was dressed perfectly, and the brussel sprouts pizza and pasta were amazing as well. Great portions, the owner Brandy even passed by and was lovely as well. Lilly was also a pleasure as a bartender sweet and makes great cocktails. She recommended the tiramisu, which was the perfect portion for a dessert and not super sweet!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We had an incredible dining experience at MC Kitchen in the Design District! Our party of 9 included family and a friend, and everything was perfect. Brandy was fantastic—she recommended the fiocchi and the bolognese, and both dishes were absolutely spectacular! The pasta was cooked to perfection, with flavors that were truly outstanding. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great place to share a memorable evening. We finished with the tiramisu, which was simply spectacular. Highly recommend MC Kitchen for an unforgettable meal!
I brought my team to MCKitchen for a special team day. MCKitchen went above and beyond to make it a special time. We all loved it. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The service was fantastic and attentive. I can't say enough great things. If you haven't been - drop everything and go!
Food is great and service is thee best.
Most delicious Pasta's I have had in a long time - the restaurant was a little empty however (I went there for lunch). I am sure it is a great place to visit in the evening
I have eaten at MC Kitchen frequently since it opened (12 years ago?) and never been disappointed. I have eaten most of the menu. My favorites are the Fiocchi with pear, Eden Farm Pork Chop, and whatever the fresh fish dish may be. Both the Caesar and Bibb Lettuce are great (I usually choose Bibb Lettuce). The Fig Pizzetta is a treat. It's often difficult to leave room for dessert, but I'm always glad when I do.
My wife and I had the perfect dining experience here for a special event. The atmosphere and food were both amazing, but what took it to the next level was the incredible service and attention we got from the moment we walked in the door to when we walked out. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
This restaurant is a gem! The food is consistently delicious, and they offer a fantastic $55 menu for three courses during dinner. They also have a great selection of boutique wines. I’ve been coming here for several years now, and it never disappoints!
I went for lunch with my family on Sunday, and we had a wonderful experience. Juana, the hostess, was super kind and attentive — she let us choose the table where we felt most comfortable. We picked a spot in the patio, and she even offered to set the table with a cloth and gave us great food recommendations. Later, Jorge was our server and gave us the best service we’ve had in a long time. They also offer brunch on weekends, which is a big plus! The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere with lots of artwork on the walls — such a lovely vibe.
They still got it! Been going for more than 8 years and everything's still on point. Caesar salad, fig pizzeta, truffle fries and the pear fiocchetti are all outstanding. Service is friendly and efficient and the space is pleasant and well maintained. The only negative is the prices, which are high like most everywhere else. Worth the splurge though.
For my 50th birthday party I decided to have it catered at my house. MC Kitchen was recommended by a friend. I cant begin to tell you how amazing the food was and the staff was absolutely amazing. I can keep going on about it but just try it for yourself. You will not be disappointed. Again thank you MC kitchen for helping to make my 50th incredible.
MC Kitchen in the Design District is an outstanding choice for catering and private events! They consistently go above and beyond to meet clients' needs, delivering a personal touch that makes every occasion special. The staff is friendly, dedicated, and attentive, ensuring everything runs smoothly. The owner and General Manager are a pleasure to work with, providing excellent support throughout the process. The food? Simply delicious! The talented chefs create consistent, flavorful dishes that impress every time. I highly recommend MC Kitchen for corporate events, private dinners, and large parties. Their commitment to excellence makes every experience unforgettable!
MC Kitchen is a gem in the Miami Design District that embodies elegance and sophistication in every detail. The ambiance is refined, making it the perfect spot for those seeking a luxurious dining experience. Their menu is a testament to quality, with every dish crafted from super fresh ingredients, showcasing a remarkable commitment to flavor and presentation. However, there’s one surprising downside—the coffee. For a place that excels in so many areas, the coffee falls short, leaving a bitter note to an otherwise impeccable experience. If they could elevate their coffee to match the rest of their exceptional offerings, MC Kitchen would truly be flawless. Nonetheless, it’s a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a high-end dining experience in Miami.
We went to this Italian restaurant to celebrate my friend’s birthday and had a good experience. The food was tasty, and the drinks were well-prepared. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was attentive. Overall, a great spot for a pleasant and enjoyable dinner.
Not a bad place to go if you're in the Miami design district neighborhood and you're looking for lunch or dinner. The service staff was very friendly and the food was good. It was a little noisy to carry on a conversation even with only slightly busy restaurant. But the food was good enough we look forward to coming back and trying some of the other things on the menu.
Very best service from Niko and MCK's stellar waitstaff. Margarita Pizza had a tasty sauce and crust and much better than most places in Miami and the burger patty was Delicious and had a truly grilled flavor (need to change up their bun). Based on the excellent service, I'll definitely come again and try their pasta dishes.
I dont know why it has taken me such a long time to write a review on MC Kitchen but given the low stars and bad reviews I had to give my opinion. MC Kitchen has some great dishes and a superb service. Every time that we come here we have to order the grilled octopus over black risotto.... this dish is full of flavor and risotto is creamy and crispy at the same time. (Delicious) Also good is the burrata appetizer... simple yet sophisticated. This time I ordered the Cacio e Pepe which is served with a poached egg. Very good. Pasta bolognese has a sauce that seems it's been cooking for hours and hours and flavors have develop onto this meaty goodness. Service is good and friendly. 4 stars only because we ordered 2 bottles of white wine and it was served warm. (Never good). Aside from that... everything was good.
VERY good. This isn't a Michelin Star contender but every dish we had we thoroughly enjoyed and it was paired with service that was crisp and attentive. No one aspect "wowed" us and therefore it misses the 5th star but at the same time there was nothing missed and it would be a spot I'd gladly return to for a high end meal.
Overall, a good experience. Lovely carpaccio topped with arugula, a tasty caesar, pasta with a few clams and mussels, and grilled salmon all tasted good, fresh. Service was good and unobtrusive. It's a place you want to give 5 stars, but as it is in a warehouse space that feels very urban loft, surrounded by design stores so you are eating inside of a design mall, has no parking, and is just outrageously costly and the prices just got to me. Having been in town for decades, I'm largely accustomed to very high drink and food costs, but with essentially no appetizers under $30, a piece of salmon for around $50, and pasta for the same price, $175 for two people for lunch with no drinks at all felt too high. Given places that have the decor of Sexy Fish, the location of Smith & Woll, the food quality at Il Gabbiano, and all around experience and service at Surf Club, and power lunch spots like LPM, to have a lunch that costs as much or more than each threw me. As for dinner, not sure if the ambience matches the menu. Can't fault the food or service and they are pretty busy so more power to them. For me, lots of other good options to explore first.
I couldn't rate MC Kitchen 5 stars because of the prices on their wine list. Saving grace was the happy hour (5-7) cocktail prices. The spicy margarita at $10 plus tax and tip was very respectable. The food was very tasty. We had the veal chop, skirt steak, and sausage pasta; everyone was satisfied.
Nice design, service is very slow and food is not the best. We tried the octopus the server claimed to be an amazing and tasty dish, The octupus was very dry and the rice that came with it wasn't the best flavor, I asked for change the rice with something else which he did but he charged us, besides the chef was looking at us not with the nicest face, make my lunch to be very uncomfortable, I’m not coming back here.
Let's just say, besides the Fiocchi Di Formaggio E Pera (star dish of the night), nothing blew us away taste wise. Their Domestic Wagyu Burger was underwhelming, and Famous Truffle Fries didn't pact a true truffle experience for the price tag. The Garganelli Bolognese wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either... and a bit on the salty side. I've always heard great things about MC Kitchen, so I was disappointed overall. Would only return for their Fiocchi!
Food is pretty good. The pear pasta surprises. My girlfriend had the steak which was good. Service was slow sometimes. Waited around half hour for the chocolate cake which is good. Pricier than what I expected, or not as good as it should be.
This place is just OK. Nothing to come back for. Only tried brunch menu items: pancakes with barahona chocolate chips 3/5. Truffle tater tot 3/5. Truffle fries were good, 4/5 as it was almost 20 dollars for a portion. Service was excellent, I'll give it a 5/5. Then you have the food, just OK 3/5, nothing to talk about except for the prices. Price for value I'd say 2/5. You definitely do not get for what you pay for. Everything should be at least 5-7 dollars cheaper. And please change the restroom signs!
Slow service, the staff was nice, apart from the manager on duty, I needed to charge my mobile and the manager very rudly refused to accomodate after the bartender offered to help out. It took away from the experience. Not my first time at the location, I actualy chose to celebrate my birthday there 2 years ago.
Terrible service. Last night we were told that we needed to wait 1 hour to seat us . We were a party of 7. We waited for almost 2 hours and after being forgotten there and spent almost 400 on drinks we finally decided to go somewhere else. They seemed to be short handed. It took over 10 min to get a drink served or they forgot about your drink at all. Those were the 2 Options. You could see that the tables were not being attended and people stayed there just talking without consuming while others like us were waiting at the bar. In summary it was all about the bad service. I gave the 3 star because the place was nice but to me good service is a must so I don’t think, that I will go there again.
Good ambience and staff attentiveness, but the food lacked. It is too expensive for the taste of the actual meal. Fries are $17, and my meal was $28 and it looked better than it tasted. I would not go again, but it was a pleasant experience.
given that I'm Italian, and the restaurant says to offer Italian cuisine, the taste it's not Italian at all. The food is too heavy, too salty and the quality too low for the high price. Slow service, waiters don't seem to have experience. I give 2 stars because I like the design and I understand the effort but in general unfortunately my experience for more than one time was always very poor.
We came to MC about 6 months ago (this past summer). We had traveled to Miami from another state, and our luggage was misplaced. So we weren’t wearing “designer clothing”. But we’re not village idiots who didn’t know what establishment we came to. Yet, we were treated as such. When the waitress (Maria?) volunteered the price of the steak we ordered, we didn’t even flinch, but she continued to treat us like second class citizens, below the rest of the clientele in the restaurant at the time. It wasn’t busy. It was fairly quiet, actually. There were only three other tables seated within the restaurant, and a few patrons at the bar. Our waitress even had enough time (a good 18 mins) to chat with the table next to us about her upcoming vacation (I can’t remember exactly now, but Greece and/or Germany were mentioned). We had ordered a fair amount of food, among them bottled water, and truffle fries. The table across from us also had truffle fries, and ketchup. Yet we had to ask and beg for everything: ketchup for the fries. Ice for the water (on a 95 degree day in Miami). Salt. Everything that every other table around us had brought to them without even asking, we had to ask for. Each time, separately. I understand some people don’t like ice with their water. But to us, it wasn’t even offered. We had to ask, twice. We also had to ask twice for ketchup. Every other table that had ordered truffle fries (two other tables) had ketchup brought to them by the very same waitress without being asked. As well as ice. And salt. But we had to ask for everything, and got the sense that we were being “annoying” for even asking. I debated a long time whether or not to write this review, because I don’t want to be “that” person. And at a time when it’s already difficult enough for most establishments (especially restaurants) to find good staff, I don’t want to get anyone in trouble. But the fact that our waitress had time to chit chat about her upcoming vacation with better-dressed patrons while treating us like second class citizens without even knowing us, and that we had to beg for things that all the other patrons didn’t have to ask for, really isn’t sitting well with me. Our meals were somewhere around $350-$400 I think (for two), and I still left a fair tip considering our treatment. I also liked my food (which was a vegetarian selection), but that credit goes to the chef, and hence the two stars. We also had a good laugh about the restroom signs that we’ll always remember fondly. But I decided to write this review after all because maybe next time, the wait staff won’t judge a patron or make assumptions about them based on their appearance. I’d hate for someone else to travel all the way there like we did, only to have a disappointing experience and leave the establishment feeling judged and belittled.
Overpriced; poor customer service; extremely sweet desserts had to through away; neighbor waitress gave more detailed attention than my own server. A bottle of water is $30.00. Food is over seasoned and salty. Change Chef. No detail on drinks. No thank you for 25% tip. Had bags with me to carry out; no one opened door to help exit out.
We have always been loyal customers of the restaurant and often visit with our daughters, but yesterday was a disaster. The area where we were seated was extremely hot. Although our server was very polite, it took him a long time to take our order. At one point, my youngest daughter spilled a little water, and the server noticed, saying, "Oh, the water spilled," but did nothing about it, leaving the floor wet. To make matters worse, there were flies in the restaurant, and no one seemed to care at all. When we finally asked for the bill, I had to get up to pay because nobody came to take the payment. To make it worse, nobody cleared our plates even when we were ready to leave. I want to emphasize that we have always visited Mc Kitchen, and the service has always been excellent. But yesterday was a completely different and disappointing experience.
I have been coming to MC for a year, but it is definitely going downhill. Servers have the personality of a doorknob and to top it off they served us pasta with hair in it. Ruined the experience and left hungry. Would not recommend the new take over.
Any restaurant that fraudulently misleads their customers should be fined and closed for 3 months on a first offense We ordered chicken parm, Bolognese, and the WILD CAUGHT ALASKAN SALMON. The salmon was not wild caught nor Alaskan. We asked to see the chef and told them it was not and asked for the truth. He told us it's ATLANTIC FARMER RAISED. No kidding ??!? The chicken parm meat tasted like it was frozen from a plant. The fibers of the meat were concerning. Looked liked fast food consistency and seemed processed with antibiotic like taste. Bolognese was borderline okay.
This was related to take out. I tried holding to speak to management but gave up. We ordered last night the grilled Paillard Chicken dish and not only was the presentation bad but the picture on line was not how they send it out with delivery. All that comes is this flat undesirable piece of flattened chicken and the toppings were in a dish on the side I' m sure so it would not be on the warm chicken. It was tasteless and expensive since doing it through door dash. We will never order from here again.
