Food was very good. Had the burger and killed it; Rich craft flavor. Wife had filet steak and enjoyed it. Happy hour menu was good as well. Drinks were good, 7 out of 10. All the food was good! Soli was our waitress and she was fantastic and provided great recommendations.
First time eating at the Salty Flame. The ambience was great. The service was on point. We had an awesome server Christian who just made you feel at home—this was a family affair. Highly recommend. The ribs were superb.
Great food. I tried dumplings (orders another lol) and fried rice. Love both. My drink was prosecco so can’t say about cocktails. But definitely will get back. Stuff was friendly and nice. Hope they’ll keep it.
It was my boyfriend’s birthday dinner and we had an amazing time. Joaquin was our server and he was so sweet and patient. We ordered through the happy hour menu first and then the dinner menu and he was so patient to come back and take our order about three times. We loved our night and would definitely come back. Attached are pictures of what we had.
this restaurant is amazing!! this is the first time i’ve been here and the ambiance is a 10/10, and the food is amazing! Christian was an excellent server, super welcoming and gave us the best recommendations. would definitely recommend coming here
Went in the second to the last day of Miami Spice and I am so happy I did! GREAT atmosphere, service and food of course. I was extremely satisfied with this fusion restaurant. Down here in Miami there are a LOT of fusion places. Some stay, some go and a new one pops up in weeks. But I am really impressed with everything about this establishment. Off the main drag, but I am actually happy it is, because it makes it easier to get to 1. Number 2, is you can chill and relax, enjoy some AMAZING food, and not be in a rush to leave. Thank you, and you have a loyal regular customer now.
Came on a Saturday night. Food was so good. Loved the atmosphere. Waitress was great. I forget her name, but she was training someone on this night (Jan 17). Highly recommend the Tomahawk medium.
I absolutely loved everything, especially the salmon tiradito appetizer and the calamari. The main course was the tomahawk steak and the fried rice. The cocktails were amazing, but the best service is from Sully; ask for her, her recommendations are the best.
Such an amazing place with elegant decoration, great and delicious food options and awesome service staff. One of my favorite places in Brickell area if l am looking to find everything together
Alexandra was absolutely amazing! So kind, attentive, and professional the entire time. She made the experience so comfortable and enjoyable highly recommend her! The other staff was amazing and nice as well. We are from out of town and didn’t feel like strangers in this place. We will be back soon!
Christian was fantastic. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect without being overbearing. Great recommendations and top-tier service. Definitely one of the best servers I’ve had!
Place was beautiful, the Service was amazing and the staff was very friendly and helpful, Special thanks to Joaquin who was our waiter, he was very friendly ,professional and kindly answered our questions regarding the menu. Upon our arrival we were seated inside. I’m going to be honest there were two big tables that were very loud , I asked our waiter if we could be seated outside due to the noise and they even bring a table for two outside for me and my date , food was amazing , i highly recommend the Korean fried Chicken, Drinks were very good too and the prices are more than reasonable and fair. Overall it was a really good experience and I would love to visit again!
Visiting Salty Flame in Miami was an incredible experience from start to finish. The cocktails were spectacular, crafted with creativity and the perfect balance. The food was just as amazing—every dish was bursting with flavor, and the Asian fusion truly stood out. The rolls were extremely fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding, attentive, and thoughtful, which made the whole experience even more special. Without a doubt, Salty Flame is a place to come back to again and again. Highly recommended!
Salty Flame is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food was simply amazing: fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish exceeded our expectations and you can really taste the passion behind the cooking. The atmosphere is cozy yet modern, perfect for a special night out or a casual dinner with friends and family. Without a doubt, this is a place I’ll be coming back to again and again. Highly recommended! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
If you're looking for a new and awesome experience, check out Salty Flame located in Brickell where the Novecento used to be. There is outdoor seating, indoor seating, and the bar seating is pretty cool and comfortable too. The decor sets the tone for a nice, laid back, cozy ambience. I stopped by the bar for a quick drink as I waited for my party to arrive running late on Miami time lol :D When we were seated at our table the service was on point from the beginning to the end of the night. There was even a moment where we ordered another round of drinks with our waitress and minutes later, they showed up while she was busy answering our questions and taking care of us. This blew my mind! And it wasn't like the Salty Flame was empty either! They were definitely busy and working hard taking care of all the tables. As for the food and any recommendations? The edamame was excellent, and the salt and pepper calamari were delicious too. The flavors, seasoning, and kimchi spice thrown into the mix gives it a really nice touch. The Korean Fried Chicken was also really tasty and sweet with the sauce it is coated in. Finally, I had the flat iron steak as my entree which comes served with veggies which I felt like really made the Asian cuisine stand out and it was my favorite dish of the night. The balance of sweet and salty is perfect! Think of it as a lomo saltado, if you're into that, then you're going to love this dish! Something important to note is the sides are not included and have to be ordered separately. If you order the steak though, veggies came with it so that's a pretty sweet deal for me! Really impressed with this new spot and can't really think of negatives here except for the Salty burger. This menu item is really popular and my friends tried the burger but I did notice it seemed a little overcooked and burnt. I think if you're coming out here stay away from the burger and just jump right into a steak! And if you're a fan of fries - highly recommend trying the kimchi truffle fries. Amazing!
Good good, great vibe, excellent service. Nice place to have a cocktail, a light snack or a sumptuous steak dinner. (Watch them age in the main dining showcase.) Finally try to get sweet Sue as your server!
Daniela was the best server I’ve had in a while. I went for a dinner with my boyfriend and she truly made it so special. I would love to come again.
The server Anthony took good care of us and made everyone feel welcomed., very knowledgeable on the menu and pairing of foods! Super welcoming and efficient! ,
We dined on a Monday and had Joaquin as our server. He personified the perfect guide to our meal. He was real with his connection, very knowledgable, and passionate about the food. The rib eye, civiche, and tom yum soup was amazing. As well as the spicey tuna triangular sandwiches. The sides for the steak, brocollini and mushrooms were not anywhere close to ordinary, with a smokey taste and a full palate sensation. Thank you to Joaquin and the chefs!
Went for lunch and tried the executive menu, which was fantastic. I had the fried rice, NY strip, and bread pudding, while my girlfriend had the edamame, branzino, and gelato. Everything was excellent. The NY strip stood out - perfectly cooked, great marbling, and clearly high quality. The fried rice was flavorful and balanced, and the branzino was simple but perfectly cooked and buttery. We’ll definitely be back.
Joaquin was amazing! Had a great culinary experience and he made it even more enjoyable with his spunk and enthusiasm. Rock on dude!
Amazing spot for Asian style grilled steak. The Tomahawk was amazing and our server Camila was super attentive and friendly. Definitely coming back!
Had an amazing date night with my husband. We were there for the beginning of happy hour. Our waitress Camila really made the experience more memorable. She gave great advice and was very attentive to our needs
Great lunch spot, ideal for meetings. Not too crowded, comfortable, and consistently reliable. The service and food are always on point. Norma, our server, was absolutely top-notch—professional, attentive, and elevated the entire experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a dependable place to meet, eat, and enjoy quality service.
Camilla was one of the best servers ever! We're here for our 45th anniversary. Amazing food and beverages!!
Christian was an awesome server. Really attentive and gave great recommendations. He made the experience extra special with his knowledge.
Kamila did such a great job hosting all of us. The food was great. Highly recommend the tomahawk steak. We had a private room and she absolutely made the whole experience special. Highly recommend.
Anthony provided excellent service. He was professional, kind, and very attentive throughout our meal. Everything ran smoothly thanks to him. Great experience overall.
If you go to the restaurant, make sure to ask for Suly—she’s amazing! She gave us the best recommendations based on exactly what we wanted. So sweet and attentive! She made our experience unforgettable and an experience we definitely want to repeat very soon! Thanks so much, Suly!
Came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday and had such a great experience. Anthony took amazing care of us from start to finish, super attentive, friendly, and made the night feel special without being over the top. The food was delicious, the vibes were perfect for a celebration, and everything came out on point. You can tell Anthony genuinely cares about his guests. Definitely a place I’d come back to and recommend for special occasions. We love Anthony!!!!!!!
This establishment offers a sublime dining experience, blending trendy and quaint aesthetics. The menu features delectable sushi and other Asian-inspired dishes, prepared with culinary expertise. Inside, the elegant decor creates a sophisticated atmosphere, while the outdoor seating provides a more casual option. The overall ambiance exudes a sultry vibe, perfect for a special occasion or a night out. This restaurant promises a memorable dining experience for those seeking both delicious food and a captivating atmosphere.
The food at Salty Flame was very good, really. But I suspect I’m being swayed by the service. The meal itself was excellent, yes—though it was Kamila, our server, who made the evening. She suggested, cancelled, and practically ordered for us, steering the whole affair with a confidence that bordered on bossiness and was all the better for it. Watching her boast about her own authority over the menu was the most authentic, charming, and spontaneous thing I’ve experienced in a Miami restaurant in a long time. I’ll be a regular for as long as she’s there.
Christian was absolutely amazing! From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, kind, and made sure everything was perfect. He gave great recommendations, checked on us at the right times, and truly made the whole experience better. You can tell he really cares about his guests. 10/10 service!!!! we’ll definitely be back because of him!
Lucky enough to dine here last week - awesome happy hour! I had the Korean fried chicken, the shrimp dumplings and sushi from HH menu (great recs from bartender) and my husband had the picanha steak from dinner menu - it was fantastic! Happy hour drinks/wine also a win
Went during brunch so it was fairly calm but I would have to say the salmon tiradito was the most delicious thing I have ever had , I can eat it all day and not get tired of it. The cocktails were also nice and the bartender didn’t hold back. Want to try out the dinner menu so I’ll be returning for that
I ordered the New York strip steak it was delicious. The happy hour small bites were so good, we ordered the spicy tuna that was great and the Korean chicken (highlight of the meal). The atmosphere was AWESOME. The staff were very attentive and nice. Desert was a 10 layer chocolate cake that was so good. It was huge though so I will have it for breakfast tomorrow. 10/10 would recommend.
Such a good spot. Plenty of tables inside and outside, a bit loud but nothing crazy. It was 3 of us and we got skirt steak and picanha, all 3 cooked rare to perfection, the meat was seriously well cooked and delicious. Service was great and fast and there’s quite a bit choice of dishes. 👏🏻👏🏻
Food was absolutely delicious, everything hit. But the real star was KAMILA — hands down the best server in the world. Super attentive, great energy, made the whole experience next level. 10/10, coming back for sure.
I loved the food, everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Daniela service was amazing, she was very kind, fully respected my garlic intolerance and was extremely attentive. we'll definitely be back soon!.
Not often have I dined this well. The sushi was incredible, and the meat was just as impressive. Cristian, our waiter, was very friendly and recommended dishes perfectly suited to our taste.
Visited Salty Flame for my mother's birthday with family. The ambiance was everything. Great music, great staff overall it was a vibe. My server was Michelle she was super sweet, very upbeat. All Michelle's recommendations were spot on, everything she recommended was delicious, nothing was a disappointment. She was attentive, knowledgeable and I felt so comfortable. She has a way of quickly earning trust. Chicken Bao Bun was out of this world, skirt steak had more flavor than flava flave lol no joke. Food was chefs kiss, the salmon appetizers were delightful. Drinks were made with love, sweet and sour chicken was bomb.com. Highly recommend!
What an experience! My wife and I were in town for my birthday and our wedding anniversary. We selected Salty Flame based on the images/vibe we found on social media as well as others’ raving reviews. Well, I must say what we thought would be a solid choice turned out to be mind blowing! Kamilla and the Team were friendly, informative, hospitable and went above and beyond any expectation we had. The design (I am an Architect) of the space, the vibe, the atmosphere and OH MY… the food was top notch! My wife had sushi and I had the Ghengis Khan Beef as well as we shared the fried rice. I can’t stop talking about the flavors, freshness and prompt/attentive service. In summary, Kamilla is an asset to the Salty Flame Team and deserves to be commended for being a model member of the Family! Thank you from my family to yours… We will be back again SOON!
Christian is awesome. He makes every effort to make sure that your food and experience is top notch. Excellent all-around. Would definitely come back.
Excellent experience at Salty Flames in Brickell. Everything was very positive, with great food and a pleasant atmosphere. I would especially like to highlight the outstanding service provided by our waiter, Anthony González, who was professional, attentive, and friendly throughout the entire experience. Highly recommended.
Pleasantly surprised by the experience. I wanted to try something new. We ordered several items to try and everything was great. Christian provided amazing service and was helpful with recommendations.
A Valentine’s Day to Remember at Salty Flame! 🌟❤️ This past Valentine’s Day, my boyfriend and I decided to celebrate our love at Salty Flame, and let me tell you — it was nothing short of magical! From the moment we walked in, we were enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the perfect tone for our special evening. We opted for the prix fixe menu, and every dish was a masterpiece. The *amuse-bouche* was a delightful surprise that whetted our appetites perfectly. We both chose the steaks for our main course, and they were simply divine — cooked to perfection, incredibly tender, and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a celebration of culinary excellence! To top off the meal, we indulged in the chocolate cake for dessert, which was the cherry on top of an already exquisite dining experience. Rich, decadent, and beautifully presented, it was the perfect sweet ending to our romantic evening. Our server, Francie, truly made the night unforgettable. She was not only sweet and kind but also had a delightful sense of humor that made us feel right at home. Her attentiveness and genuine care added a personal touch that enhanced our experience immensely. Salty Flame has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants, and I can’t wait to return. It’s no surprise that it comes highly recommended from friends, and I wholeheartedly echo their sentiments. If you’re looking for a dining experience that combines amazing food with exceptional service, look no further! ✨ Thank you, Salty Flame, for a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner. We’ll be back soon 🍽️
We had such a great experience at this restaurant. Everything was on point — from the drinks to the food. The cocktails were delicious and well made, and the food was full of flavor and tasted fresh. You can tell they really care about what they’re serving. A special shoutout to Zully, who took amazing care of us. She was so sweet, attentive, and made us feel really comfortable. She kept checking in at the right moments and made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere was also really nice — perfect for relaxing, enjoying good food, and just having a good time. We’ll definitely be back!
First time in Miami and this place made me want to come back. I’m from New York City and this place gave me that vibe and more. The food was amazing and more important the service was phenomenal. The general manager Michael was the best manager I have ever met. He made the experience wonderful. All of his staff is amazing. The food being good was a plus. We had calamari, steak tartar, the ribeye, the burger, dumplings. Everything was absolutely divine. I will continue coming here and follow michael where he goes.
What an amazing dinner. The Asian infused dishes are unlike any Asian food I’ve ever had. Christian was our server and he was fantastic. Having him was like having a personal tour guide around the menu. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Miami!!!
We had such an amazing experience at Salty Flame, and Suly truly made the night exceptional. She was the perfect balance of professional and personable — attentive without being overbearing and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot on, and she made the whole evening feel seamless and elevated while still warm and welcoming. The service matched the upscale yet relaxed atmosphere perfectly. If you’re dining here, definitely ask for Suly — she’ll make your experience unforgettable!
Anthony was an amazing server to whom we owe a wonderful experience!! After a very long day traveling with two older people, I was tired. And mean. Thankfully, Anthony, a true professional, was able to navigate the older-personness of my mom and get our meal back on track. I am unable to eat seafood right now but was informed that the seafood happy hour was delicious. I had the chicken kimchi hand rolls which quite literally reset my brain. My husband and I had the steak (filet for me, and the NY Strip for him) which was cooked to perfection. My parents split the Branzino which was purportedly amazing. Oh, and bread pudding for dessert which was super duper good!! Thank you to Anthony :)
Came here for drinks on a Friday night and it was great! Trendy, upscale yet cozy ambience, delicious (albeit expensive) drinks, and very friendly and attentive bartender. He provided us with drink recommendations based on our preferences (we had the chinolita and lychee pop). It wasn’t too crowded, so it was the perfect atmosphere for a laid back Friday night catch-up session with my friend!
What an absolutely amazing dinner experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, elegant, and welcoming. The service was impeccable by Christian — attentive without being overwhelming, and every recommendation was spot on. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You could truly taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients in every bite. From the appetizers to dessert, everything was perfectly prepared and thoughtfully crafted. It wasn’t just dinner — it was an experience. The ambiance made the evening even more special, creating the perfect setting for a memorable night. We left already planning our next visit. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience! 🍷✨
I had a wonderful experience, the food was great. Sue’s outstanding service make de visit memorable. She was incredibly attentive and professional from the moment we arrived. Sue made sure everything was perfect, checked on us consistently, and created such a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend asking for Sue when you visit!
Our server Suly was amazing! We came for a bachelorette party dinner and she was very attentive and even gave us a complimentary dessert. Very sweet and the food was delicious. Highly recommend
Great food and excellent service. Visiting from Charlotte had a great meal with a group f friends. Our server Andrea was excellent and attentive. Highly recommend for great food, drinks and wonderful service. Thank you Andrea for making our Saturday night special.
I don’t usually go to steakhouses, but I made a small exception for this place. I have to say that all the cuts we chose were excellent, juicy and cooked exactly to our desired doneness. The cocktails they offer are quite original and refreshing. Beyond the fact that the place itself is very pleasant, what stands out even more is the outstanding staff. I especially want to recognize Daniela, who was incredibly attentive to our table. She has great energy, guided us through the menu, and made sure everything turned into a wonderful experience.
I went to dinner with my boyfriend on Valentine’s Day and we had an amazing night. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a rose, such a lovely touch that made the evening feel extra special. Our server, Francy, was wonderful, very attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the entire night. The food was delicious; the fish tacos were amazing, and we also tried the filet mignon, which was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The service was impeccable, everything arrived quickly and at the right pace. I truly enjoyed my evening and the overall experience. Thank you for making our night so special. We will definitely be back.
I really loved the atmosphere at Salt Flame. I went around 9:30 PM and the place was packed, which is always a good sign. Even though it was fully booked, there was still space at the bar, which worked out perfectly. I ordered the ribs and they were very good especially for a place that isn’t a traditional smokehouse. For dinner for two, the total came out to about $110 before tip, which felt reasonable for the quality, service, and overall experience. Great vibe, great night, and I had a lot of fun. I’d definitely come back.
Lovely place to dine with the best white rice ever. The food was good and so was the service. I liked the experience but it’s not a place I’d keep coming back to. The drinks were very good, especially the lemon drop. The cake was ok, tasted like it had been made a while ago but still yummy. The filet mignon was good but the sauce it was served with was not great. Overall I liked it but I didn’t love it.
Andrea was such a lovely waitress! She made sure my food was quickly delivered and took very good care when it came to making sure my allergies were accommodated! I WILL be coming back and it's all because of this delightful person! The food was also quality for price, a delicious little hide away, my little secret! A new favorite!
Great location and engaging seating area. Would've liked to be seated outdoors but the hostess the evening of 11/04, who spoke less than 5 words to me, ignored my question. Ambience matched the decor and location, wait staff is pleasant and attentive, food was tasty though the steak had more sinew than I am used to.
Food was great - I ate from the Miami spice menu so I was choosing from a reduced menu. I liked most of my dishes. Although the Korean fried chicken was a little underwhelming. Service was stellar, our server, Cathy, was thorough and attentive. My date had a bit of a throat ache and our server brought her some ginger tea and honey of her own volition and on the house to help. Will be back just for that. And finally the decor is a sight to see, a lot of effort and intention went into the space as well as curating the ambience. There was a dj later in the night and even some live music. It gets a little loud as the night progresses so keep that in mind. Overall a fun experience.
Modern place with good food, smaller portions. Korean Fried Chicken was best IMO. Sushi was good. Good service. Went here with a group of 16 and they had seating at one long table for us.
We booked through OpenTable and were seated without any issues. The restaurant has been completely remodeled from the former Novecento, creating a modern and inviting atmosphere. We opted for the $28 executive menu and tried the Asian Chop Salad, Shrimp Tempura Roll, Korean Fried Chicken, Genghis Khan Beef, and Bread Pudding. Overall, the food was flavorful, and the portion sizes were medium. However, the timing of service was inconsistent—our first dishes took too long to arrive, and just seconds after we received them, the main courses were served, causing them to lose temperature. Despite this issue, the experience was positive, and the restaurant has great potential.
Salty Flame located in the heart of Downtown Miami, FL, was quite the spot for a birthday dinner celebration! To start off the night we ordered the Lychee Pop cocktail and the Cherry Blossom Moscow Mule (requested to the bartender) 🍒 This followed by the Salt & Pepper Calamari and the Siu Mai Dumplings which were both very delicious and tasty! Note: the dumplings are small in portion so you may want two orders. The party proceeded to order Your Grandpapi’s Steak - Prime Bone-In Tomahawk Steak (45oz) paired with the Salty Flame Fried Rice. These dishes were shared between 3 people. Your Grandpapi’s Steak - Ribeye (16oz) that was paired with the Stir Fried Milk Bok Choy and Side Salad. The steaks were tender with great flavor and the fried rice and bok choy were the party’s favorite 🤩 To end the night, we ordered their Bread Pudding for dessert and slice of Chocolate Cake (not pictured) as the final sweet tooth 🍰 Overall, @saltyflamerestaurant (Instagram) was a unique experience and provided an intimate atmosphere suitable for a birthday dinner or date night! Looking forward to visiting the establishment during lunch hours to try out their bowls that caught my attention! Note: The establishment has Valet parking ($20), a garage across the street, and Pay By Phone street parking options.
I really enjoyed the food and the cocktails at Salty Flame — everything was flavorful and well prepared, and the drinks were excellent. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. Our waitress was overly focused on selling the tomahawk steak at all costs, which felt very pushy and uncomfortable. Instead of enhancing the experience, it took away from it. With more relaxed and attentive service, this restaurant could be great, because the food and cocktails truly are the strong points.
The place is pretty empty for a Thursday night. The food was OK nothing out of this world. I did get a shrimp tempura which was tasty. I tried the calamari which was a bit stale and I got the stone Wagyu which was great but the portion was tiny (4oz) for $50. I also got Lychee cocktail. They do add a 18% service charge but doesn’t instead what the service charge is paying for. I don’t think I will return. I know this is kind of downtown/Brickell, parking is a nightmare and expensive.
EXTREMELY OVERRATED. Their food is of good quality but they can’t execute on flavor. Their sweet and sour chicken and beef were “good”, but not spectacular or standout. You eat it and say, yes my mouth doesn’t hate it but I’m not excited to take another bite. Chinese takeout places have chicken and beef with better flavor. Their service is also slow, the waiters barely come around and check up on you, just leaving the customers to wait on them to come over, probably because they know that the restaurant auto charges 18% tip. It’s like they take so slow to serve people so the dining area seems full and busy. I don’t mind a gratuity charge, but at least give good service to make it worth it… anyways there’s better places to go.
Totally overhyped and overpriced. We dined here with a party of 8 while in the Miami Brickell area and left pretty disappointed. I ordered the medium rare ribeye and it arrived rare with a cold raw center. Another guest ordered medium and received medium rare. At these price points, steak temperatures should be spot on. Service was meh at best — nothing terrible, just not attentive or polished the way you’d expect in a trendy downtown Brickell spot. The atmosphere is stylish and the location is great, but overall it didn’t live up to the hype.
First and foremost my server Jay was perfect. Honest and friendly and the best part of this place! At Salty Flame you are simply paying for location and ambiance. The menu items are GROSSLY expensive and the food is only mediocre. Kimchi Truffle Fries are TEN DOLLARS! for fries that have a random seasoning cut up green onions and truffle mayo. Ridiculous. Grilled Shitake Mushrooms are super salty and overpriced $12! Korean fried chicken, deep fried thighs with a mediocre glaze, not CLOSE to worth $19! The rib eye is NOT a ribeye. I know steak and I don't know who they think they are fooling with this very obviously NOT rib eye cut. (even one of the other servers couldn't defend this),unseasoned and bland, oh and also $39 and DOESNT include a side. The only item that was very good was the tiradito, but you can get that in 75% of restaurants in Miami. Don't waste your money here, go someplace less trendy, with better food, whose prices are reasonable for what you are getting. Don't believe the "luxe" hype. Oh and the bathrooms were disgusting, men's and women's even after telling the manager discreetly that is was a mess. I give you a year SF. They also offer a free glass of champagne upon your arrival via email for the reservation but it was never received or acknowledged.
This is a place for really good drinks, not for the food. Our waitress was really friendly and her customer service was really welcoming but the food just wasn’t up to par to be an Asian fusion restaurant. Even though she was friendly, it took minutes for her to keep coming back to make sure we were okay- I’m not sure how many tables they had were covering but it just took a while. To the restaurant management I would definitely suggest a rebranding on the menu! Especially to ensure the Asian culture is being represented properly- the Korean fried chicken was not it or the sushi rolls.
I dined here as part of a group of 4. We really enjoyed the cocktails and food. We ordered the tartare for an appetizer, and the ribeye, salmon and tomahawk and a few sides for our entrees. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed everything we ate. However, the service was incredibly terrible. Our waitress, Tonya, did the bare minimum. She did not refresh the silverware or appetizer plates before the main course arrived, so we had to eat off small dirty appetizer plates for our entrees. She also never came back to our table after we got our entrees to see how everything tasted until we were nearly done. She did not refill our water glasses or ask if we wanted more cocktails. We had nothing to drink the entirety of our main course. She did not remove empty plates from the table. I would have liked to order dessert, but was just ready to leave after the poor dinner experience. Tonya was basically non existent the entire dining experience. With the automatic gratuity she clearly felt she didn't need to put any effort in. It was disappointing to see how other servers were engaging with their tables and providing a nice, attentive dining experience, meanwhile she ignored us the whole time. I travel to Miami frequently for work and will not be recommending this place or coming back ever again. There are better places with great food AND great service.
La comida no destaca más de lo mismo en toda la ciudad. El lugar es muy lindo , la atención es buena ,lo malo es el horario del cierre y que prácticamente te terminan echando un desastre.
THEE WORST DINNER EVER. Took my gf here for Valentine's Day Dinner. It was a pre-set menu but the options were minimal to say the least. When the appetizer portion of the meal came, server brought mine but noty dates. We waited for a while (5 min) until my server returned and told her it was extremely unprofessional to bring out one appetizer and wait (or forgot) for the other for my gf. I sent my app back as it was now cold and they sent two out shortly after. As for the meal, including the apps, there was 3 options. My gf has the fish and I had filet mignon. The filet mignon was over cooked and the fish was oh so bland. Oh, and btw, NO sides accompanied the meal, no veggies, no choice of carbs, nothing. Earlier in the night I asked before ordering was there another menu or sides the server said no sorry. My gf later in the evening saw a couple get fries and salad. Half way through our meal we flagged down our server and asked how another couple was able to get sides, the server said it wasn't part of the meal. The sides were extra and only sides avail. So frustrating, I reiterated to tell the server I asked earlier if there were options and she said no, so we ordered sides halfway through our meal. Dessert arrived, no choice again, chocolate cake for both, extremely sweet, whatever. When the bill came, gratuity included, you would of thought they would have added the apps (small salad & small fries ..... to match the small portions) at no charge .... NOPE. $350 USD later ..... What a rip off! Be fore-warned, I highly suggest going elsewhere. I was hooked in my the ambience pics.... I guess that is what I paid for. Horrible experience.
Even with a reservation, we still had to wait a long time to be seated, which defeats the purpose of booking ahead. To make matters worse, they sat us in a back room away from everyone else, which felt isolating and not at all the experience we expected. The service was extremely disappointing. After our appetizers, it took about an hour for our main food to arrive. Drinks we ordered were completely forgotten, and when we finally finished, we had to track down our server just to pay the bill. Overall, the experience was frustrating and poorly managed. Definitely not what you’d expect from a place like this, and I wouldn’t return based on this visit.
Business dinner party of 25+ people, not enough staff in front of house or back to keep up, all food orders were served at different times over a 30 minute period, most med rare steaks were served well done, many received different dishes. Final CC statement was much more than the total + tip amount that I left at the restaurant. This restaurant might be good for small groups only.
Was really excited to try Salty Flame but left very disappointed. Was seated 40 minutes after our reservation. We received our appetizer and entree and was never served water… waitress only came around once. The food was good but the service left a lot to desire.
The food is TERRIBLE, the fish and meat were very poorly prepared, the cocktails are okay. The manager's handling of the place is very poor; he lacks the ability to manage a large number of guests and is completely unorganized (I have experience as a restaurant manager). I saw many people leave dissatisfied and unattended. Honestly, I would choose a good manager because they represent the establishment and are responsible for directing the staff for optimal performance.
WARNING: People with allergies DO NOT eat here. My friend and I went to Salty Flame for the executive lunch. $28 for 3 courses. The server asked me when we arrived about allergies. I told her I have a severe gluten, dairy, and peanut allergy. The server supposedly put it in her handheld. I ordered the tom yum soup, the branzino, and the gelato, based on my own assumptions of what I would be able to eat. The server said she didn’t think I could have the soup because there was coconut milk in it. Once I explained to her that coconut milk didn’t come from an animal and therefore was not dairy, she brought it to me. Then the branzino came out with a sauce I was concerned about so I asked if it was ok for my allergies, I was told it was okay. I said are you sure? They said yes. So I ate it, for them to then come back and tell me it had gluten in it. Then we asked for the manager and she offered nothing but an apology. Then it came time for dessert which is when they finally decided to inform me I wouldn’t be able to have any of the desserts. They refused to comp anything or offer me anything to make up for the terrible service. There did not seem to be any genuine empathy or care when I explained that I was going to be sick and would have to miss work later. When I expressed disappointment with the service, the server said “I’ve worked in the service industry for 12 years and if they fire me I can just get another job.” I do not recommend eating here. I work in the service industry and it’s so easy to offer a glass of prosecco or something to make someone happy but they didn’t seem to care at all.
