This meal was excellent!! They have a number of specials, which are definitely worth trying. Also, they have an incredible happy hour menu, with half priced drinks and so many discounted apps and rolls. It goes all the way until 8 pm and are full size dishes. The staff is extremely attentive and the food comes pretty fast. They have both a mix of great sushi rolls but also other dishes and appetizers. Some highlights are the truffle ceviche, Shishito peppers, crispy rice (we had avocado), Negi toro roll, the fried rice, and the wagyu dumplings. They also have excellent cocktails (cucumber and lychee) and the sake was delicious. Also fun/lively scene on a Friday night. Highly recommend!!

I've been here twice. The first time I ordered the Chinese broccoli, the bok choy and the assorted sushi rolls. The second time I ordered the sea bass with the mushrooms and the miso soup. I had a coffe after this. Both meals were good. I like sushi/sashimi or grilled fish. The side items are good too such as the green vegetables and the mushrooms. The miso soup is also good. I did enjoy both meals. I do recommend

Love the food and atmosphere, from the garage segments like tool boxes for the dish-ware, to the wing nut for your chopsticks placement ware. Everything about Shush Garbage is warm and relaxing. Great unique drink selections.

Our kids are my best critic of our sushi spots. We had the seaweed salad which was different with REAL seaweed and amazing dressing drizzle. Pictures include: Pork taco’s, avocado rice bedded toast patty thingy that was AMAZING! Salmon avocado roll, spicy salmon roll, and edamame’s were even out of this world. Leechee lemonade was top quality acccording to the family.

Exceeded my expectations in quality and flavor. The fried rice was the best I have had in town. The bok choy, shishito peppers, and mushrooms were fresh, cooked perfectly and each had delightfully complex flavor profiles. I’m looking forward to trying more.

I’ve been here a few times and it’s always a great time! Their Happy Hour is the best in Miami in my opinion . Dylan, who assisted us the last time we went , was so nice and had the best recommendations. My husbands says the drinks are the best but my ultimate favorite thing on their menu is their Lava Cake. Highly recommend!!

Service - menu – price, this place has quickly become our go-to spot in Coconut Grove! What stands out to me most is how genuinely friendly the wait staff is. I’m not a sushi expert so I’ll leave it to others to comment on that but I know we haven’t had a plate we didn’t like and the drinks are consistently on point. I was originally drawn there by the extended happy hour but it’s the great experiences that keeps us coming back.

Came to get in on the happy hour experience I heard about and it did not disappoint. The hosting and service teams were so kind and helpful and our waiter gave us wonderful recommendations! The chili shrimp dumplings I 10/10 recommend! Not too spicy just a little kick, and the Korean beef leaf taco I could eat EVERY. Single. Day! The sushi, wasabi, and ginger are fresh and delicious, definitely coming back.

Great spot!! Happy hour is definitely worth it. Some of the must Try’s include the Chili Shrimp Dumplings, Chicken Tacos, Garage Roll, Crispy Avocado Rice, and don’t forget the Lychee Mule!! It’s super delicious with quick service and friendly servers.

We had a great experience. We came in on a Saturday night, no expectations and they sat us fairly quickly considering the crowd. We had one of the best servers we’ve had in a while (Brianna). Food was excellent. The Bao buns were our favorite.

We had such a wonderful experience! Julio, the manager, went above and beyond, even with a wait, he made sure we were seated quickly and treated us like guests in his own home. His warmth and hospitality truly set the tone for the night. Our server, Francisco, was just as amazing. Omg Alanna and Nano were amazing ….we had the best service at the bar! Was here last week for the first time and OH MY GOD. I’m already planning to go back tonight! I was there for happy hour on a Thursday and the specials were phenomenal. I had Marko behind the bar and Julianne on the floor attending me. They were both equally attentive, kind, and made excellent suggestions. I even challenged Marko to make me a very particular version of espresso martini and boy did he deliver! There was a very lovely manager (i think) on the floor his name is Julio and he always checked on my girlfriend and I throughout the night. What a gem this place is I’ll be looking to sit outside with Julianne this time to see how the vibe is! Cheers!

Our party of three ate to celebrate our son’s start to another semester of college. We ordered a variety of rolls and edamame. The ‘half price’ happy hour was really half portion happy hour, as the rolls were 4-piece rolls. We particularly liked the rosemary roll. Not something we had seen before. We ordered a 2nd helping. Service was slow to start, but once we were assigned a server, service was quick and attentive. Overall, fairly good but a bit on the pricy side, perhaps.

The meal was delightful, but mostly due to the service and atmosphere. Dylan was very helpful and everyone on staff kept tabs to make sure everyone was tended to. The patio was lovely. The hot food needed a bit more seasoning and the portions on the raw food were quite small, but very good.

Nano took great care of us. solid spot for happy hour with a nice ambiance though the portions are a bit small.

I went for Happy Hour and a short stop before dinner somewhere else and I had a great time. Met actor Cuba Gooding Jr at the bar and took a selfie with him so that was the highlight of the evening. Alfredo the bartender was just awesome and attentive and I just tried a few things on the HH menu and a few Kyushiki cocktails which is the Japanese version of an old fashioned made with a top shelf Japanese sake. They didn’t have the crispy bok Choy which was highly recommended but I did get to try the bacon asparagus dish with mushrooms and the pork belly. Now I am not a fan of mushrooms but this dish was so appetizing that I didn’t even care to munch on the mushrooms, head and all. The way this bacon’s natural flavor cooked in the wok with the crispy asparagus was one of the most mouthwatering dishes I’ve ever tasted, is an understatement. Have to come back to try that famous crispy bok choy and the ribs also recommended by Alfredo. Ambiance is nice and there’s plenty parking in the area.

First time at sushi garage and my experience was very good. Staff members are welcoming and my server was friendly and nice at all times. I ordered a delicious mezcal cocktail with lychee and jalapeños, which I highly recommend!!! So good. I tried some sushi rolls that tested fresh and well made, so it was a pleasant visit. Probably I will come back and worth to go and visit at least once

This place has a good happy hour. The service is excellent, food and drinks come out quickly. However, food quality isn’t the best. The reason for four stars is because food is decent, but sushi falls apart and tastes like grocery store bought sushi. I’ll definitely come back for happy hour.

Very beautifully designed restaurant with indoor-outdoor space. We sat at the bar with nice view on the sushi prep area. Bar staff excellent!!!. Happy hour 5pm to 8pm everyday. It is the best deal in Miami. All drinks are half price not just a few selected cocktails and big selection of food choices. Everything was freshly made and service was great 👍

Food and service were very excellent and atmosphere is nice. I would say creativity of food was also a plus. Excellent for fusion style sushi and creative eats. However, proportions were a little underwhelming for dinner prices. One suggestion I would have for owners is to increase proportions a bit.

Came for lunch ordered the Shishito peppers and the sushi garage roll. The roll was OK for the price, but the Shishito peppers were honestly not edible. They were burnt yet not fully cooked extremely bitter and had some sort of film on the outside when I mentioned it to the server he was like oh well I don’t really eat shishito peppers and I was like well I’m telling you how they should be and I had to pay for them anyway I am very disappointed in my experience here and this there’s a lot better sushi restaurants out there. And including the service charge doesn’t automatically mean you get good service

I'm giving an average rating, as they just about reached that level. Negative ... $3 for ONE skinny small slice of tuna .... WT* ? I'm glad I was paying Happy Hour pricing, $5.50 is the 'NORMAL' price, that's CRIMINAL, Miami or NOT ! My server was terrible, inattentive, and removing chopsticks/utensils before I'd finished my meal :O Rescued by a front of house lady who checked in on tables and managed to get my 2nd drink order and a another dish that I wanted to try. At this sushi place, the best dish, IMHO, was the sausages :O 3 of them for $7, very tasty. The skinny anorexic chilli shrimp dumplings were very tasty, but the 4 of them contained no more than ONE teaspoon of filling COMBINED ! in a delicous and spicy chilli broth. Whilst I 'escaped' after two cocktails and a few different dishes for less than $50, I can't ever imagine returing outside of happy hour. Good value at Happy Hour are the 1/2 price cocktails !

This place is pretty much overpriced and not worth it. They dont have large hot sake, and charged $40 for a large cold sake. The white tuna sushi must have been sitting out for a while because the outside was hard. The crispy rice was like $18 for a rice cake with a little avocado compared to only $25 for the Rainbow Roll with fish in it. Waiter was nice, and did okay. Basically was $175 for 3 people to have a drink and a few apps.

Nice ambience. Staff and service was really friendly, fast and attentive, even our waitress was great, the kitchen need to be more careful with the orders. There was a broken Splenda bag inside of our tea jar. We order a ceviche that never came. I mean, everybody makes mistakes but for the price is not the type of service that you expected. Seaweed salad was great. Sushi was good, I like the fusions but nothing that impress us. Some rolls have less fish, they were not equal inside. Yellow tail jalapeño it was very fresh and good, but it has too much lemon that kills the fish flavor. Good music and DJ. We found the place nice but expensive for what you get. We parked inside Cocowalk, flat rate $10.

Bad, at least that's how it happened in my visit last Saturday, September 10, 2022/ 7:30 PM - Finding a good sushi place is not an easy task, and I am always on the lookout for the best and most succulent rolls. I have had incredible surprises in unexpected places. So when I go to sushi garage I expect their main course, the sushi, to be up to par or good. Well, I asked the waiter Mateo (Mathew) for the best sushi, and we ordered several, eight different ones and other dishes. To our surprise, plastics such as tacos, pinchos, and others are perfect, but what about sushi? Much to my regret, I must say that this is not the best place to eat sushi. The rolls are bland and lacking in flavor and not to mention the prices, exorbitant/expensive, if you compare the quality, dear reader, to give you an idea at our table of four, we ended up paying almost $400 included some drinks and food. Note- They don't have fans outside so the heat is unbearable (including at night) not only for customers but also for employees, who by the way provide excellent service. I recommend eating inside because the atmosphere is more pleasant and welcoming.

Food The sushi was pretty mid. The tuna was minced, which was unacceptable for $20 a roll and basic sushi… like we aren’t talking specialty rolls here. This was a basic rolls and it had minced tuna, like how cheap of a restaurant do you have to be to serve minced tuna, so that’s poor quality sushi rolls in my experience. The yakisoba was better than sushi. The nigiri prices were straight rip off so we didn’t order it. Service All of the food was ordered at the same time (5 ppl) yet it all came out at separate times and super delayed with an empty restaurant. One person didn’t even get their food until really really late after everyone was done eating, another person ordered hot water and it took 20 minutes to get. We were there at 6:30 PM in the middle of the week and it was totally empty restaurant. I guess this restaurant isn’t very good if people don’t come to it during the prime dinner hour. That was my clue that maybe this place isn’t that great, at sushi anyway. Atmosphere was mid also. There are hanging fish on the ceiling and they were all really really dusty. They need to clean those. They thought they were cool when they put them up but they forgot that you actually have to clean the 400 fish you left on the hanging from the rafters Price If you want to fill up I’d say it’s about 75-100 bux a person. If you’re drinking alcohol add $30.

Had a good experience here with the service and food came out quickly. I'm picky with sushi so I personally didn't enjoy too much but my partner thought it was decent. He just mentioned that it doesn't really have the fishy and fresh fish taste which took away from the sushi. Overall cost: $150+ (including tip).

Very nice restaurant within CocoWalk! The business offers a diversity of food but mostly sushi. I could describe the restaurant as a very fancy quick service sushi restaurant where there food is prepared in advanced. If that is actually the case, there is no criticism in that regards as the food was good and the service was also good The only downside is that it's very expensive for the experience and is good to set your expectations in advance. It was like paying really good and expensive ready to go sushi.

Service was excellent. Atmosphere was great. Happy hour 4-7 everyday. Pricing doesn’t meet portion size. There are cheaper, expansive pallet, multiple menu options at other “sushi” spots in Miami. Cheapest bottle of sake is $20 and it’s a small can. Unfortunately due to price and portion size not worth it in my opinion. 20% tip included. Total came out to ~$140 for two small portioned sushi rolls, small chicken teriyaki rice, & sake. Again not worth it in my opinion, ended up getting local beer and pizza near by totaled <$40 for two people.

I was excited to have happy hour here for my birthday but had the most stupid way of getting a table. To get a table, the restaurant claims they do not accept walk ins. Instead, you HAVE TO make a reservation through open table. I was a tad confused because I thought why can’t the hostess tell us the next reservation time and we put our name down. Through open table, we had to put our name, email, phone number, credit card information all to be told there’s a reservation available 5 minutes later. The actual service from our waitress was amazing. She was extremely attentive and explained the specials. The skewer was my favorite dish but why not give 2 skewers instead of 1 in their happy hour. Dishes are extremely small. Plan to order many. When you do, keep in mind that it doesn’t feel like happy hour pricing anymore.

Went for happy hour apparently they were understaffed long wait until a server finally came by. After ordering drinks they sat by the bar for about 15 minutes until we could flag down a waiter and by then they were completey watered down. Food was actually pretty good which is a shame because I won’t be back :(

DO NOT EAT HERE It’s a waste of your time. We came for happy hour, but unfortunately didn’t leave happy. We arrived to the restaurant and there was no hostess to greet us. My friends and I waited about 15 minutes. We almost left to get pizza at Mister 01. Finally, a server came up to the group in front of us to seat them. Then we stepped up and said we were a group of 4. They started to set up a table then said actually they gave our table to someone else, so they moved us to the back by the bathrooms. We then were sat down with no menus. After being walked to the back I noticed we were not brought menus. So I went back to the front and grabbed some for myself and my friends since there was no hostess. We were able to figure out what we wanted to drink and eat and have small talk while waiting about 20 minutes before someone came to the table to even give us water and ask if we’ve been helped. We ordered everything in one go. We were done with our food by the time the cocktails arrived. I don’t even recall the waiter asking if our food came out alright. We asked about the cocktails twice before they were brought to us. We were able to see them from our table. They were watered down from sitting there waiting for our waiter to get them. Definitely do not recommend, there are much better places to eat around Cocowalk.

Leaf Taco is the only good option. We tried seven choices, but they don't deserve your time. The service is good.

Ordered the spicy tuna crispy rice and it came looking like a Cuban chicken milanesa except, you know, it wasn’t chicken. No spice, no crisp, and the tuna was more like a paste than actual fish. Worst crispy rice ever. 0/10 would not recommend Honestly, if you’re looking for crispy rice that isn’t crispy, spicy tuna that isn’t spicy, and a dish that leaves you questioning your life choices this is the place.

Food taste like it was microwaved! Very very bad quality! We also saw disturbing things in the bathroom! Talked to the owner about our thoughts of the place and he screamed at us and was super demeaning. Would never go back there not worth it the happy hour is so mediocre there are a lot better deals in the grove.

First time here and last one, not recommended at all! The place it's really nice and comfortable with the sitting and tables, but me and my girlfriend left completely dissapointed after all the experience. We ordered 1 coke, 4 pieces of sashimi, 1 california roll, 1 spicy crab roll and 1 rainbow roll and the total with the 20% tip included was $123, the size of the rolls are MINIATURE and I'm not exaggerating, literally it's a joke for what you end up paying, the sushi that you buy at the supermarket it's bigger and cheaper that the ones we got tbh! The manager welcomed us and it was fine, when we asked our server for recommendations of the menu she didn't actually recommended anything in specific which is not her fault, it's lack of trainning from the restaurant to the employees. We were there no longer than 25 minutes from the moment we sat to the moment we left, it felt like we ate bites of sushi like some sort of catering size sushi for people to taste "a little of everything", flavorwise the food was ok but not something we'll crave to try again! They we're so small we ate all of that super fast that was I thinking the most shocking and of course the total of the check. We ended up in another sushi place were we ordered about the same amount of food + 2 desserts and we paid less than $75, checking the reviwes from the place now makes sense we did not checked them before going to Suhi Garage, sadly and fortunately it's the best you can do when you're going to a place for the first time because you're aware of what you might expect! I have no pictures because literally nothing looked so good that was worth a picture.

The restaurant has a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, but unfortunately the food did not meet expectations. The sashimi quality was below average — the pieces were quite small, and there was no toro or blue fin on the menu. They don’t offer fresh wasabi and what they have seemed more like a pre-made version, and the soy sauce was overly salty, which overpowered the fish. Additionally, I was surprised by the mandatory 18% gratuity added to the bill. I don’t mind tipping for good service, but I would have appreciated knowing this policy in advance. Overall, while the ambiance is nice, I don’t feel the owner truly understands authentic sushi or the quality standards expected at this price point. I hope they consider improving the freshness and balance of their offerings in the future.

Went for happy hour and was disappointed by literally everything about this place. First there were random children running through and around the establishment with no parent in sight. Second the food was awful. We actually returned two rolls we ordered. The spicy tuna roll was some weird fish paste more akin to cat food than human food. The wasabi empanada was essentially fried dough with barely any filling put on top of some sort of sauce. The tempura shrimp roll we ordered, of the 6 pieces I think maybe 4 actually had shrimp. This was like a $21 order so I actually expected them to try. This place was expensive too! Most of the rolls were like $20. And the icing on the cake was after we asked for the rolls to be taken off our check (because we didnt eat them) The waitress 'accidently' spilled soy sauce on my wife. Dont go here.

Third time eating here and last. The sushi is not fresh. Tasted like metal.The sushi rice was served hot with some herb on it. Service was awkward the bartender was on his phone. Ac was not on and everyone was fanning themselves and sweating. Pay attention to the customers in your restaurant.

The food was fine and the waiter was kind, but the kitchen and bar really did not help him. It took me 50 minutes to get a bottle of Sake. The food came out from 10 minutes after ordering it to over an hour. We were all finished eating, while two people waited for their meal. Then another meal came out, he finished eating his meal, then we all waited for one last meal. We will never come back to this restaurant. I'm actually still sitting here just waiting for the last meal. If their making money then they should hire more people; disaster!

If you want to waste your money, definitely go here. The sushi rolls were laughable and the dishes were bite size. Imagine paying $29 for a tuna chicharron roll and getting basically a California roll with little pieces of pork meat on the side. The server was nice and helpful. A shame that he got stuck working at a below mediocre restaurant.

Couldn’t have given us worse service if they tried. Waiter was not even that busy took him over 20 minutes to come to our table after he dropped off water. Brought out mine and my wife’s entrees with no silverware or chopsticks.. 5 minutes later after we asked we got some. Then after my wife and I finished our food 10 minutes later my sons came out… again no silverware. Asked for it, then another 4-5 minutes went by so we went inside and got it from the bar. Waiter was terrible, food was mid, should have chosen anywhere else to eat.

I visited on December 30th with a group of four and unfortunately had one of the worst dining experiences I can recall. Despite the restaurant not being busy (we were seated immediately without a reservation), the service was severely lacking. Our server appeared disoriented throughout the entire meal and was clearly uninformed about the menu. She confidently told us the nigiri platter came with 9 pieces when it actually comes with 7, and said it included a side of rice, which it did not. We had to request the rice as a courtesy for the misinformation. When you’re making decisions based on what’s included in a dish at a certain price point, accurate information matters. If she was unsure, she should have confirmed with someone else instead of guessing. She also repeatedly asked us to confirm our orders multiple times in a way that made our entire table uncomfortable. The execution was equally poor: dishes arrived at staggered times, with our simplest order, the nigiri platter, taking the longest. Most concerning, one of our appetizers never arrived despite multiple requests to both our server and other staff members, all of whom dismissed our concerns. She may have been new, which I would typically understand, but she lacked basic professionalism. Her demeanor was extremely laid back and chill, completely oblivious to the fact that our entire table was visibly unsatisfied and bothered by having to constantly follow up on our dishes. When issues were finally acknowledged, we received a half-hearted “sorry” that felt dismissive rather than genuine. It came across as more of an “oh well” than actual concern for our experience. There was no offer to remedy the situation, and we had to specifically ask for the missing item to be removed from our bill. Adding insult to injury, there’s an automatic 20% gratuity, which is higher than the standard 18% and applied to our party of just four people. Automatic gratuity is typically reserved for larger groups (6+) at higher-end establishments, not casual restaurants like this. This policy likely explains the complete lack of motivation to provide decent service. As someone with a hospitality background who tips generously even when service is mediocre, receiving this level of service with a mandatory 20% tip was absolutely ridiculous. The food and drinks were mediocre at best, certainly not worth the poor experience.

While the actual restaurant was beautiful with a nice ambience, the food was very disappointing. We ordered 2 rolls of sushi which were both very unflavorful, and 1 plate of shrimp dumplings which were extremely bland and chewy. I don’t recommend the food, but the service was good and the staff was very helpful.
