Zac and manager Angelo at Sweet Liberty Miami are the definition of outstanding service! We ordered the Cauliflower nachos with chicken, PB&J Old Fashioned and Coconut Sazerac — the latter proved too strong for us, but before we even said much, they noticed and checked on us multiple times. They replaced it with an off-menu signature coconut drink — absolutely lovely! Their attentiveness and genuine care for guests truly justifies their top-rated reputation. Highly recommend this gem in Miami. We’ll definitely be back! 🥂

South Beach can be a tough part of town to find value, but Sweet Liberty was a breath of fresh air! We popped in at happy hour and Mateo was both knowledgeable and so helpful and friendly. Their HH prices for raw oysters and cocktails were unbeatable, and the fried oyster po’boy was an absolute steal AND well-fried to boot. My surprise favourite drink was the oyster martini because it was complex, briny, spicy, savory — it went perfectly with the raw oysters! It’s definitely not for everyone (my husband got a mouthful of spicy horseradish and thought I was trying to kill him) but if you’re the kind of person who likes that sort of thing! We had four rounds and would come back again if we lived here. Worth the stop!

Wow. A friend was previously a local and insisted we come here. Great call what an amazing place. The Ginger drink was spectacular had a couple as did the wife. Friend ordered a couple of apps, fries, watermelon salad and a brownie sundae....all were just so well executed. Bartenders operated as a team and were very attentive and cool and from the atmosphere was also that of a lower key dive, but there wasn't anything divey about the place. I will absolutely remember the place and the music was consistently pushing a fun cool vibe that kept us there for another drink or 3. Love this, favorite Miami haunt to date!

Great place to stop by for the Monday haply hour $1 oysters (east coast) and $2 oysters (west coast). Their bloody Marys are phenomenal. We also got the street corn (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) along with the chicken sandwich (yum!) and had the Japanese spice flavored tater tots as a side! Sooo good! The oysters were so fresh! So good! The pineapple beer was also a hit with my husband! The atmosphere is so fun (logo is Miami is the Shi+ bro) and the music keeps the fun atmosphere going along with the Gorgeous back lit wooden bar! Servers are all fabulous and our waiter, Mateo, was outstanding! 5 out of 5, I'd give 8 if I could!

This is a hidden gem! Our Uber driver recommend this spot for happy hour. During happy hour, oysters are only $1.25 each. The martinis and cauliflower nachos were also wonderful. If you like oysters, be sure to try the aguachile option. They have avocado mouse and minced cucumber & jalapeño. The decor and atmosphere is so relaxing, fun and unique. Our bartenders were so friendly and attentive.

Loved this spot! We went for happy hour and had some delicious, well priced drinks! Jay, the bar manager, took excellent care of us and made perfect food recommendations. My New Orleans native husband loved the fried oyster Po Boy, and I was so happy with the burger. It had a great char! The fries were great, and I appreciated the rosemary seasoning. I would highly recommend, and I would also love to return and try the chicken thigh sandwich!!

$1 oysters for happy hour plus award winning cocktails! Yes they were that good!

Went for an early dinner. Ate outside where we were seated immediately. The waitress was friendly and accommodating. The only odd interaction was that her shift ended and she said her boss told her that her shift ended and she asked us if we wanted to her to check us out or if the next waiter would. We were not quite finished with our dinner yet so we still needed service. That’s something the restaurant should determine and not the guest. In our opinion. Also, a 20% gratuity was added, which has become customary but she still mentioned that it was added and if we wanted to do more, it was our option. Again, just uncomfortable. Especially seeing she was leaving before we were finished. The food was fine. We ordered the homemade chips, great tasting! Cauliflower nachos. A huge order. Enough for 4-6 people. By the time we had the order much of it was soggy. But definitely had plenty of toppings to the nachos. The pomegranate was a nice touch. Chicken wings - had an order with some buffalo and some bbq. Both were tasty and fried thru. Carrots and celery with ranch and blue cheese dressings. Overall, we are glad that we stopped. Thanks for a nice overall experience.

De’Andre was a great server! The vibe was perfect for dancing, we could still have good conversation even with the music, and the food was great! We ordered the baked oysters and the raw oysters with caviar. The fries were also amazing

Cocktails were alright, perfectly reasonable for a vibes bar. Bar food was nice (very good oysters!). Cauliflower nachos were a little underwhelming but still quite delicious in balance. Was quiet on a Tuesday evening

Cocktails were fun and delicious. We had the pickled deviled eggs (huge fan of those), the sweet liberty burger, fish tacos, and brownie a la mode. Would definitely come here again!

Good beer. Awesome East Coast Oysters. They're huge. Estrella is a decent beer to go along with Oysters. Inside and outside seating available. Quick service. Happy hour every hour.

This is the best happy hour deal on the beach! 95 cent oysters and $10 craft cocktails from 4-8 pm weekdays. I had 9 oysters, Togarashi tots, and 2 passionfruit daiquiris and everything was excellent. My waitress was also really nice which is a rarity here.

I hate to write this review because I don't want this place to get too crowded. But, at the end of the day, it's truly a jewel of the Beach. Great service, great atmosphere, great team.

Great night out and also great for happy hour! The music is awesome, the drinks are very strong and tasty. It is a restaurant/gastro pub during the day and at 10:30, they move the tables around to form a dance floor and the DJ comes out. Great vibes day and night. Must visit! Highly recommended drinks: Paloma and Piña Colada (made with espresso beans!) Highly Recommended Food: tater tots, nachos (made with cauliflower), buffalo chicken wings, happy hour oysters!

I saw this in some sort of list and marked it on my Google maps of places I want to go. And I’m so glad I checked it out! There are many different cocktail options which makes choosing difficult, but they were good. The staff can also help if you don’t know what to order. I also got the Cuban Torta..it was so unbelievably good! You must try it! I will say around 11pm it turned into a club. I was still able to keep my bar seat, which was perfect as a solo traveler. Highly recommend

Good cocktails! I have the oysters the tuna crudo and truffle fries, they were all so good! This is a typical industry (hospitality bar)

Absolutely fantastic! Delicious drinks, literally the best nachos I have ever had, and great staff. Would love to bring guests and family here. The darker inside makes for a very cozy atmosphere. Loved it all.

Where can I begin: we ordered the oysters, deviled eggs, lobster mac n cheese, and the Cuban torta..... EVERYTHING was AMAZING. The service was top notch, the server's knowledge of the menu/ drink choices really helped us figure out what we wanted to drink. There is a great variety of drinks on the menu, we tried many and they were all great. If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would. I highly recommend to anyone.

The best nachos I've ever tried! The food is delicious! There is variety of drinks. The bar is well stocked. It's a little pricey but it's worth it. Some nights there is DJ. Only indoor seating. And you have to park on the street. The bartenders are not really friendly..but they are not rude either.

J
Jhon Rojas (ManiMoto)

The cocktail list is amazing and very tasty, great selection and the bartenders are knowledgeable and helpful, our bartender Tatiana was very nice. We just had the guacamole wish was okay and the elote oh lord is out this word, full of flavor and very juicy, the bar itself is great awesome atmosphere and very good looking shelfs full of nice spirits. One of the kind in Miami

Amazing cocktail bar. We came around 4pm on a Sunday and had $1 oysters for happy hour. The cocktail selection was the most unique I have ever seen. I had a sweet potato based drink that was delicious. My 3 companions also had amazing drinks. The vibe inside was cool and felt like quintessential Miami.

Staff is great! Drinks are great! Atmosphere is great! Music is great! Everything about this place checks out! The place doesn’t pop up in the search results for the best bars/night clubs in Miami, but is a hidden gem for sure!

I had just the most wonderful experience at this perfect bar and restaurant. Sweet and Vicious is just the best place to go at any time of the day and night! We were staying at a horrible hotel that I will not name just down the street and we used Sweet Serenity as our little escape. Let me take you through our experience. The first night we arrived and ordered drinks at the bar. I was so delighted to realize that the drinks here are amazing and very distinguished and original. Not only did I love the drinks but the bartenders kept my glass of water full at all times. I couldn’t stop going to the bathroom! it was amazing and I was not hungover the next day. Wonderful first night at Sweet Libations. Moving on, we came to eat the following day and enjoyed the perfect happy hour. Drinks were delicious as usual, and we got to sit outside which is always a treat. I didn’t even mind that the seat had no back cause it was like a picnic table situation. I minded a little so maybe that is the only room for improvement. We all shared a lovely salad and some other stuff. Just happy to be at Sweet green. But the third day was the best, wow. We feasted in a big way. We had oysters from both the east and the west! Two salads and the most insanely ridiculous amazing French fries! We got two orders!!! The servers are all nice and fantastic and chill good people. Sweet Disposition attracts the best and most finest people. Just ask my friend - she got hit on at the bar immediately by a Romanian fellow. He gave her a free back rub! I can’t wait to return.

😋 Liberty in Miami is an absolute gem for anyone who appreciates a well-crafted drink and a vibrant atmosphere. The cocktails here are nothing short of exceptional, each one made with precision, creativity, and top-notch ingredients. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic like their award-winning piña colada or something more adventurous, you can trust that every sip will be pure bliss. The bartenders are true artists behind the bar – friendly, skilled, and passionate about their craft. Even during the busiest moments, they maintain a high level of service that makes you feel welcome and well taken care of. The ambiance is a perfect blend of lively energy and laid-back cool. The eclectic décor, neon lights, and upbeat music set the scene for an unforgettable night out, whether you're flying solo or hanging out with friends. Sweet Liberty is more than just a bar; it’s a must-visit destination for cocktail lovers in Miami. I didn’t have any food, but based on the drink experience alone, this place earns a solid 5 stars. Can’t wait to return for another round! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Drinks Only)

Very good food, service and atmosphere. Servers were attentive, welcoming and provided great recommendations for the menu. Oysters Aguachile during happy hours were $16 fo 1/2 dozen. Citrus and spice notes, fresh flavourful oysters. Truffle fries were amazing. Shoestring cut fries held their crisp. Cuban torta sandwich was a perfect combination of roast pork, ham, cheese, pickle, mustard, etc. Watermelon Greek salad as a side dish for Cuban salad. Fresh upgrade to the dish, plenty of feta cheese, and the dill and mint furthered the freshness. 20% service charge included in the bill, we would have tipped 20% normally, but would still prefer to choose tip % or have that service charge listed somewhere on menu to inform us beforehand. Total spent ~ $70 w/o alcohol.

Really great place to stop for drinks and food in a much quieter part of South Beach, seems to have more local patrons rather than tourists which was good (as a tourist)! The happy hour is great and the food was really tasty. They were kind enough to make a batch of nachos with altered ingredients to suit me. The lobster pockets were lovely.

S
Stephanie Vukotic

We came for happy hour and had the east coast oysters, baked oysters, lobster hot pocket, cauliflower nachos with chicken to eat and the frozen bi*ch and watermelon presser to drink. East coast oysters - tasty but small Baked oysters - phenomenal Lobster hot pocket - phenomenal, one was plenty though bc it was quite rich Nachos - possibly the best we’ve ever had. The cauliflower and pomegranate seeds were pleasant twists Frozen bi*ch - very good, not very much though Watermelon presser - wife loved it Service (ladislav) 10/10 as well!

Great spot with fun vibes! It can be a little loud inside but the music is good. They also have outside seating as well, with some under a garden style cover. I was lucky to get there during happy hour, so was able to get $.95 East Coast oysters and $1.95 West Coast oysters. For dinner I got the Grilled Branzino. It was delightful!! Perfectly grilled light flaky white fish, over a house made cauliflower mash that had a bit of lemon (I think?) that went perfectly with the fish. Bathroom: Nothing fancy, with the standard metal bathroom stalls. It was clean though and that's all that matters! I also liked that hooks were available near the sinks, nice touch. Warning: if it's a full night there are only 2 stalls so there may be a wait.

Happy hour until 8 pm on weekdays, with nice cocktails and affordable oysters. I tried the Fino cocktail and a half dozen East Coast oysters—both were great.

A hidden gem, tucked away in a quiet corner of South Beach! I’ve known this place to be part of South Florida’s own local celebrity restaurants, but never tried it till yesterday (mid-week dinner). The menu was creative and tasty, familiar with a twist! The drinks were wonderful and the ambiance was trendy yet low-key. The in-house music was fun and covered all the bases, with a dj setting up as we were leaving. The BEST part of the evening was the great service we received from Ladi and the team. His knowledge of the menu was impressive and his recommendations were spot on! All the staff looked genuinely happy and happy to be there. Looking forward to going back and will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends, family and anyone visiting Miami!

Nice bar and grill, right off the busy strip of south beach but not too far away. Very spacious and clean, their service was great, our order was delivered very fast. We had the east coast west coast Oster, they serve their own condiment with this dish, there has not been any two places that serves the same condiments with Oster. BBQ chicken was on point.

Great burger unique and classic, the fries also thin and crispy, perfect. Maddie my server was phenomenal, she even brought water for my pup. I’ll come back to try some cocktails and oysters. Great spot.

This place is so amazing that I had to come twice on my vacation to Miami. The happy hour oyster deal is pretty great, and the cocktail specials are just as good. I had the super popular spicy coconut margarita, which was delightful. The vibe is laid back and the music picks were great, and not too loud so that you can actually have a conversation. Btw they have the BEST piña colada I have ever had- and that's coming from someone who visits cocktail bars every time I travel. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in Miami!!

Came here for happy hour. Cheapest cocktails you'll find in Miami on happy hour. Good drinks. Walked right in and sat at the bar that would be my suggestion if you're only going to drink and maybe get an appetizer.

This place is so YUMMY! My fiance and I went during happy hour which is from 4pm-7pm everyday. 95 cent oysters. Oysters varied in size. It comes with a house made vinegar sauce which is amazing. We also got the Short skirt steak and eggs. This was part of the brunch menu and still valid until 5pm. It's $10 cheaper than the skirt steak entree. It was absolutely delicious and mouthwatering I was too excited too eat it which is why I forgot to take a picture. We also got the Elote which is a must for me. It's over priced, but the flavor is amazing especially when you are craving one. I love this place!

I went to the 12: 30 pm brunch with a show with my divas. Had a great time. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious. The drinks out of this world and the show fantastic. It was worth the 1 hr and half it took me to drive to the beach.

The oyster happy hour is off the chain. Drinks are fabulous and has live music! I'd also recommend the lobster "hot pocket" - good innovation at its finest.

I really enjoyed this bar and the staff was friendly and amazing atmosphere. They had an excellent happy hour with reasonable drink prices. We tried two of the oyster dishes and they were both delicious. This is one of my favorite bars in the area.

Sweet Liberty was AMAZING!! This was my friend and I's first time going and it was amazing from start to finish. The amazing hostess, waitress, the people in the restaurant, and of course the food, but for me what takes the cake... The DRAG Show those girls worked the entire restaurant. Hands down the best show I have been to!! It was everything! I recommend this place! I will definitely be going back next time I am in Miami. My table ordered Chicken and Waffles, Bacon, and the sweet french toast, the drinks we had lemon drop martini, and something else I can't remember!

This Is a neighborhood favorite. Everyone inside appeared to be having a great time and enjoying the delicious cocktails and amazing food. Our appetizer was the peppers....sounds strange but we had to get them because we like different. Wow. Totally unexpected. We've never had anything like them any where and we couldn't stop eating them. We almost ordered more. Live entertainment is available some nights. We had a ball with the sound check guy. He was fantastic Friday night!

This place is amazing! One of the best places I have been to in a long while. The food is awesome! The drinks are spectacular! I've been three nights in a row for the happy hour oysters, $.95. They are so fresh and amazing! I've had a different meal each night and they have yet to disappoint! The drink combinations are so weird that they are fabulous! I had about 2 different drinks each night. I feel like I've tried most of the drinks and food selections. I will definitely be frequenting this place EVERYTHING I am in the area! And they have great service! The bartenders, barmaids, and waitresses are very personable and funny. They are also very attentive!

There are no words that can describe how much I love Sweet Liberty, I can’t visit Miami without stopping by! To start- their $1 oyster happy hour is easily one of the best deals in Miami and it’s available EVERY DAY!! The drinks are innovative and fresh, but it’s even more of a treat that the food and bites are exceptional, creative, and perfect for sharing🤩 10/10 an absolute favorite. The staff are also super nice and really accommodating!

This is a must see spot in south beach! Great happy hour, some of the best oysters I’ve ever had (aguachile style), and really solid drinks. The whole experience was really made by our wonderful server Mateo. He was so welcoming and made excellent recommendations for food and drinks. Super fun energy from Mateo and we will definitely be back to see him!

I loved discovering this bar. With an outside terrace, it seems like a very quiet and calm space. Nothing could be further from the truth. The real party is inside with good music and a dance floor. The atmosphere is quite pleasant and ideal for going in a group. The drinks and food menu is also very varied and the service is also good. Visit it on 20th Street, steps from Collins Ave.

Absolutely loved this spot! It’s got such a low-key, non-pretentious vibe—a refreshing break from the usual MB scene. The staff was super friendly, and the cocktail menu was top. Recommend the - “That Watermelon Drink” and the “PB&J Old Fashioned”—both were incredible! We didn’t order food, but the menu looked really good. The space is cozy and perfect for groups or a date night, and the music was on point with a great variety all night long. Overall, such a fun experience—definitely a place I’d come back to!

Best Nachos I have ever had in my entire life, the chef here deserves serious praise because they are blowing it out of the park. The nachos had fresh made chips, cauliflower and pomegranates, I've never been so blown away by flavors. We also had a light, crisp and flavorful watermelon salad, that hit the spot. Jay behind the bar made delicious cocktails, the Ginger McGinger was my favorite, they are using fresh ingredients and are thoughtfully created. Not only did Jay make fantastic cocktails, he was very helpful with the menu, kind and great conversation. I'm going to think about those nachos for weeks to come though...

My boyfriend and I LOVE this place. We went here EVERY day after we found out about it while on vacation for happy hour (specifically for oyster happy hour). John was our server one night and was excellent. Every server we had was there was great. You can’t beat the deal on oysters - they were delicious! Awesome place. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Miami Beach!!

it was actually very good, we got the suggestion from a friend and went there. every single one of the staff members that interacted with us was very kind, we were going only for drinks but had the chicken from the menu and it was very very good, not expected at all. drinks were good too, a little confusion for what my friend ordered vs what they got charged for but aside from that, great time.

This place is amazing, we visited 2 times during our holidays in Miami always on Happy hour which is a great deal for delicious oysters and cocktails; our favorite was coconut spicy margarita. The service was the best we have received anywhere in Florida - all of the staff are attentive, nice and hard-working and always made sure we are taken care of, however our top favorite was the guy from Slovakia (we completely forgot his name and feel horrible now haha). Overall we would 100% recommend.

Such a special place on Miami Beach! The loaded nachos are a must. I prefer the steak with them. The deviled eggs are so yummy!! The executive chef here is one of the best in the world. All the dishes are great. The service is unreal too. Such a friendly staff. The environment is cool too. Always music playing or a DJ later on towards night. Fun place to go with friends and grab fantastic cocktails and delicious food! A must try while in Miami.

Great spot for a drink after spending the day on the beach. The spicy coconut margarita is a MUST! The service was quick and the staff were friendly. If you’re looking for a chill vibe with outstanding cocktails, this is it!

They arguably have every kind of liquor you can possibly think of. Be adventurous and ask a bartender to get you a variation of your favorite cocktail! I asked for a negroni and they got me a very unusual take on it with chocolate and coconut flavors, while carefully preserving all the usual notes.

This was our favorite bar of all time, they also had the best food! Their oysters are incredible, also, there’s steak and fries! If you get there, Irish coffee cocktail, we highly recommend getting it from the girl bartender. She does something special with the whip cream that made that drink better than Actual lattes!! She made her own cream!!

I love this place! They serve tasty food all night. 1$ oysters for happy hour. Their Korean style ribs are delicious. Cesar salad was so good. Can't go wrong with the crispy chicken sandwich. They have some of the best truffle fries I have ever tasted. Little terrace outside and a funky interior with some really cool decor. Open very late. Whether you go for food, happy hour or just for some drinks late at night, it is a must see when visiting Miami Beach.

Great drinks and atmosphere. Music was on point. Staff is super friendly. It's always great to hear recommendations on dishes and drinks. We weren't there long but if we ever go back to Miami it's definitely a spot I would return to.

Sweet Liberty is delicious, well executed, and an unpretentious slice of Miami Beach. Their happy hour deal crushes, and their food at all hours is great and reasonably priced. Zach and Danna were both awesome with their laid back vibe but also attentiveness and care. I'm not in Miami Beach often, but after a week on work travel in the area, Sweet Liberty is a refreshing break from the glitz (and price) of the main drag.

We went on a Sunday night for happy hour! Ordered oysters ($.95/per) and tater tots which were both very yummy! Upscale romantic atmosphere and attentive service. Definitely recommend!

Great vibes at this bar! I had two amazing cocktails and delicious east coast oysters. Highly recommend you drop in at happy hour. The menu was awesome and had great value, especially for South Miami Beach.

🎶🍸🔥 Live music — and yes, it gets loud! So if that’s your cup of tea (or in this case, your brand of vodka), you’re in for a good time. There’s not much of a dance floor for those who like to move, but there is a nice outdoor seating area with a relaxed vibe if you want to catch your breath between songs.

Always a good time 👏 Casual spot with something always going on! I have been coming here since it opened and it has changed some but over all the quality and reliability is steady If you need a casual easy going meal lace to bring friends it grab a late night bite/cocktail this is the spot Dress code is casual

This place is very pricey, We spent about $280.00 with tip. The food has excellent flavor and is cooked great, The seafood has a good texture my friend loved the seafood. Savannah our Server has an excellent attitude, always aware of our needs and a cute girl. The place is very cozy and the drinks were delicious.

Came for the happy hour: two cocktails, a dozen East Coast oysters, mini fried oyster po’boy, and the aguachile oysters. The spicy coconut margarita is a must-have — lightly sweet with a very slight black pepper flavor. The oyster martini is nice — if you like slightly dirty martinis, you might like this. Fun and relaxed vibe, really great staff. I wish the four-oyster mini po’boy had more substance to it instead of just sad plain lettuce and tomato.

Busy came in for some late night bites. The cesar salad was great so we're the buffalo wings. The drinks are the best here because they have the best mixologist

Great vibe! Decor was fun. Joined for happy hour and got a bramble cocktail that looked as good as it tasted! Food was also tasty and bartenders were awesome! Close to the Abbey if you are staying nearby. Highly recommend!

Had an exceptional cocktail here ("That Watermelon Drink") and really enjoyed the vibe. Would have been 5 stars except for the fact that the server took my ID and credit card, said he would be right back with it but never gave either back. By the time we left i had forgotten they still had it (why they needed to hold an ID is beyond me) and had to come all the way back the day to retrieve both items...a bit frustrating. Otherwise worth the visit for some great cocktails and delicious cheesecake.

cool relaxed bar in Miami Beach. I wouldn’t overhype it like many others here do in reviews, though… Atmosphere 7/10 Very casual atmosphere. Huge sitting area inside and also outside seating for good weather. Inside has a bit of an “american diner” flair. Cool details. Solid back bar. Nothing outstanding though. Drinks 8/10 Ordered Tropical Negroni and Big Apple Martini. Negroni was great - tropical indeed. Martini was a bit too sour for my taste. Big menu. Unfortunately no coasters. Service 6/10 Mixed feelings. Team was cool and attentive. The food was not good - had the Lobster hot pocket. It was not flavorful and too oily. Took also a bit too long to arrive (>30min). I don’t like that the place charges 20% mandatory service surcharge. But to be fair - this is a standard in Miami… Considering that this was #94 World’s best bar in 2022, I was a bit disappointed about the experience and drinks. However, still probably one of best bar options in Miami Beach

The Fancy Paloma and PB&J Old Fashion were great, as well as the Caviar Onion Dip and Oysters. Overall good experience it was just loud and hard to hear our server, as well as each other and it was darker lit than we had expected. Overall a good experience though.

Really cool atmosphere inside. Went for happy hour specials. It wasn’t crowded but seemed like the crowd was picking up later. Ordered the $1 oysters and did not like them. Should have known when the server described them as “grimey”. The happy hour selection was decent, ordered the gin drink. It was good but still your typical Miami prices. Overall a nice place to hangout with good service.

This place is a little too clubby for us, but the cocktails were expertly crafted. The juices are fresh. If quality matters to you, check out the drinks. We didn't eat.

Our experience was bittersweet. The service was not very attentive, and the staff also came across as somewhat aloof for people working behind a bar. When we ordered a cocktail, we were told it was unavailable because the batch was infusing. They said it would be ready in half an hour, but it never was. Before leaving, we asked again because we wanted to have one more drink, but it still wasn’t available. We came back two days later, since we were staying at a nearby hotel, and once again the corn syrup or purée was not yet prepared. In the end, we decided to try other options, and I have to say we really enjoyed them all. I won’t deny that the cocktails we had were truly excellent, but that difference in service is noticeable when comparing the experience to other venues selected as the best bars in the country.

Bar is good, but the DJ last night (2/23) SUCKED. He kept playing 45-60 second snippets of great songs, but then would just mix into the next snippet. He did that for hours, never coming remotely close to playing a complete song. All DJs mix one song into the next, but usually you hear like 95% of it. Last night was a musical train wreck.

A
Allie Ruiz

Maybe we made a mistake going the Sunday of art Basel closing but we waited 30 mins for our drink while a table sat after us was given two drinks in that time. The oysters were incredible though.

Service is bad. A 20% service charge is already included in the bill, but when you pay online it applies an additional tip on top, be aware of that. The waiter was so slow; I’m sure he did not like his job.

G
Gonzalo Mejia

Such a bad NYE. The music was awful. The DJ was a lady that had no idea what she was doing, with no taste for music at all. We were looking forward to a long party, but sadly we had to leave. Sweet Liberty is a great bar, usually has amazing music and service, but this time it seems like they had to hire the first DJ and staff they could find.

Shannah Reagan

Bad service, bad oysters. The short rib was not edible, mostly bones. Music too loud for comfortable conversation despite the place being practically empty

Came here after Watr for a night cap. Planned to have a drink or two and then head home. Aesthetics are present and the interior has all the intangibles to be the vibe. The inside being completely empty from any guests or signs of life at 9:30 on a Thursday evening should’ve been my first indicator to turn around. Arguably the most poorly executed drink combination I’ve experienced to date. As a hospitality manager for 8 years overseeing PGA championships, college football playoffs, horse races, and a handful of US Opens the drinks I’ve overseen is upwards of 5 figures. In an industry dominated by temporary staff, poorly made drinks, and overall lack of effort, this takes the cake. Christmas fruit cake that’s hard and inedible. The kind that your Aunt Diane always gives you that you never actually want. The same aunt that always has lipstick on her teeth. The painkiller tasted like a watered down tang slushy. Painkillers are supposed to have coconut with notes of nutmeg. Neither were present. We asked for two different beverages because they were quite literally undrinkable. I ordered an old fashioned that was simply bourbon over ice. I love bourbon, so I drank it. I’m not mad, just very, very disappointed. There were no bitters, no muddled cherry, nothing at all. Really? I mean, c’mon.. The second beverage was supposed to be a gin and juice. Apparently the bartender assumed we had a gin allergy and kept it from the drink. It was straight juice. Overall, I would give a negative star if it was possible. The only reason I gave Sweet Liberty one star is because of Deandre. Attentive, understanding, and took initiative. Deandre was the shining star in a dimly lit room. I will take the liberty and make sure to never return here.

Camila Aldana Crudo

I honestly can’t believe this place is on the World’s 50 Best Bars list. The drinks were not good, and the service was even worse. We sat at the bar, ordered some food, and after 30 minutes of waiting, nothing arrived , not even the baked oyster we ordered. The bartender never checked on us or noticed that our food never came. Such a disappointing experience. To make it even worse, they charged us for everything, including the food we never received. The staff really needs improvement. Drinks were just okay, but the food and service were a complete disaster. I wouldn’t come back.
