Vice City Bean Miami Reviews
Lovely staff, amazing coffee, and the best desserts👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 It’s a top-notch spot for reading or working on your laptop. I was feeling so homesick for Korean-style cafes, but this place was the perfect cure!
I liked Vice City Bean. Honestly, I'm from D.C. and thought our drinks were expensive there, but $6.75 for a latte here is wild, more expensive than I originally thought! But, the chai was delicious. You could really taste the spices, and it wasn't super Sweet, which was a plus for me. The place itself is cool and spacious with those big windows and bar seats that are perfect for chilling, working, and occasionally people-watching. Service was awesome, I would go back.
Still my favorite coffee shop in the area. I frequent it often. Great coffee here with homemade almond milk. Delicious! The employees here are wonderful too. Nice atmosphere with lots of windows and free WiFi.
I’m visiting from out of town and just Googled it. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The cafe has a nice vibe and my cappuccino and lemon poppyseed loaf (vegan) were delicious. I didn’t see any donuts and would have loved to try one. There are plenty of places to sit and work on your laptop. It was quiet with 60s and 70s music playing. There is a restroom and free WiFi without a password. They are also dog-friendly. Great cafe.
This has been the best coffee shop I've found in town despite them being out of decaf coffee beans. The chai here is so delicious and the setup is so sleek and elegant. Great shop for working or meeting, dates, or whatever.
IDEAL FOR SIPPING ON A COFFEE WHILE ANSWERING SOME EMAILS AWAY!! Coffee - 4.5+ Service - 5 Ambiance -5 Parking - street parking easy to find Location - 5 No wonder Vice City Bean appears in so many best local coffee shops blogs. They are truly good and one of real coffeeshops we have in town(most of the other ones are more like cafes). This has a true coffeeshop vibes. It’s quite enough to even have a work meeting(I have), answering emails away, etc. The coffee beans they use are great and you won’t regret to try their coffee. Pastry options are also good. So happy to have Vice just a block away. Feeling blessed. Enjoy!
Enjoyed the mood of the place. Great coffee. Good spot to get some work done (not calls)
Great cafe! Industrial & modern space with comfortable working space and good lighting. Coffee was great. The nitro was creamy and smooth. Empanadas we’re tasty! Vegetarian options were offered! Tried a cold pressed juice and was surprisingly good! Highly recommend this cafe! Parking in the area is not too bad. Street parking will most likely be available when you visit.
Great coffee selection with a neighborhood feel. They have space for you to sit and work (even though they have stickers plastered everywhere that it’s 1 hour limit, I’m not sure how much they enforce it). The staff is friendly and they’re extremely knowledgeable about the beans they carry along with their origins and taste profiles. They have a decent selection of pastries and baked goods to accompany your drink of choice. There are a lot of police officers and detectives that come and hang here (very noticeable based on their conversations, uniforms.
I came here as a quick caffeine stop while walking to the Wynnwood walls, and boy did I get way more than I bargained for! I got the peppermint iced latte (a seasonal drink) and it was just fabulous! Seriously, the coffee was just perfectly strong but not overpowering, and the flavor and cream weren’t too sweet and there were small bits of crushed peppermint at the bottom- I was in heaven drinking this. My mom got a cinnamon and honey latte, which was just as splendid as mine. Hers had real honey at the bottom, which brought such a nice, sticky and sweet contrast to the sharp coffee. I can’t even decide which one I liked better, they were both just so fantastic. This is really a cute shop and somewhere that would be great to sit and do work or homework or just hang out, and you will be making your taste buds sing by grabbing a drink from here! Just incredible!
Greatest vibe, the best coffee in the city. 7am is full of people, to someone have business trip to there like me, getting a good coffee in the monring is the most important thing. My favorite coffee shop in Miami.
Little cute neighborhood gem with delicious coffee and best donuts I’ve had in a looong time! I don’t like rose water in food and I love their rose water donut, and lately their matcha donut has been on my list of daily cravings… please keep those on the menu! Love the vibe of the place too! Sorry, forgot to take a photo of the donuts - but they’re so good I ate them right away lol
Service was awesome and staff was welcoming. Menu is great and has a variety. I enjoyed the time I was there with a good cup of coffee. The empanadas were delicious as well. Definitely will come again soon.
A surprising place! When I first when in I thought "Oh great, another snobby hipster coffee shop", but I was wrong! The staff there was very friendly and definitely didn't have the condescending tone that so many trendy coffee spots share. I ordered just a plain croissant and some water. I was worried the croissant was going to be dry, but it was delicious and buttery. I tried my friend's latte and it was very high quality. Good service and good product- I highly recommend!
I recently stumbled upon this coffee shop in Miami; let me tell you, it's a hidden gem! The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff instantly made me feel at home. Their lattes are simply divine, and the pastries... oh, don't even get me started! Whether ready for a quick coffee fix or a relaxing brunch, this place won't disappoint. Try their smoothies—it's out of this world!
Very very good coffee! Its light roasted, very tasty and not burnt out dark roasted which kills the coffee flavor like everywhere else. Highly recommend for real coffee lovers
Industrial style space with plenty of seating, super-high ceilings, with outlets available along the window counter stools. Coffee/Tea focused with a selection of juice, pastries, empanadas, toasts, and the occasional quiche. Friendly, prompt service, seems like a place with regulars from the neighborhood. A little echoey but not too loud to have a conversation at your table and still not overhear the details of the people next to you.
My favorite place for coffee ! Try the protein bowl for breakfast !
Love this place. To me is a destination for when I want to have good coffee & chill. Its located #offthebeatenpath and that makes it even more attractive. Expect to find Miami locals and some adventurous travelers looking for an experience. #coffeeshopmiami #bestcoffeeshop #miami #miamivice #miamitravel
Great coffee shop which has a wide selection of both standard and non-standard drink options (including a Matcha latte). Excellent coffee and coffee drinks. Also has kombucha, nitro brew, tea, pour over, etc. Also has a surprisingly good food selection (including empanadas, croissants, some sandwiches, etc.). Terrific food and pastry options, friendly people, WiFi, parking right outside.
Love this place. The cinnamon roll is an explosion of deliciousness in my mouth. I'm on a diet right now, but I like to tell myself that the cinnamon roll is for my mental health, and I feel like it's working. When I'm not eating the cinnamon roll, I feel sad, and when I'm eating the cinnamon roll, I feel happy. I don't need a therapist to point out the obvious. The cinnamon roll at Vice makes me happy. Cinnamon roll = happiness.
Great coffee roaster selection, including variety from Sey and Black and White. Single origin offerin from Sey was amazing. They have Oatly too, which is great. The best coffee shop in Miami
Hip and cozy shop drawing an artistic crowd. Great for a coffee date, business lunch or working long hours on a computer. Free wifi is available to patrons and there is ample seating that maximizes the small space while still allowing for elbow room between you and your neighbor. This place is both pet and people friendly— barista Lexi was very welcoming and the whole staff gives off a positive vibe that makes you want to hang around. Tall windows let in a great deal of light and allow for people watching while providing a safe haven from the heat. You will find high quality drinks and bites here, and it will be a place you'll want to visit again and again. Thank you Vice City!
Chill vibes. Good place to work on your laptop while enjoying a coffee. Highly recommend thenitro coldbrew. It is the best I've tasted! It has some chocolate malty notes that would go great with any of their pastries or breakfast sandwich. They also have a nitro hibiscus tea which I sampled. It was a nice twist on the hibiscus tea, would get this on another visit.
One of my favorite coffee shops with several Locations throughout Miami. I go for the Mel latte with oat milk which is so tasty and just mildly sweet. Free Wi-Fi makes this a good spot to have a coffee/snack while getting work done or business meetings. Their empanadas are great also. The location in the A&E district and the citadel in little river both have great vibes as well.
Phenomenal! Whenever we go to Miami this is one of our first stops. Great coffee, food and atmosphere. The staff is polite and the vibes are always good. I’ve tried a lot of their menu items and they all hit, so you really can’t go wrong. My only complaint would be that it’s pretty hard to find parking in the neighborhood. Overall, definitely a must if you are looking for coffee and a quick bite in Miami.
The only issue with Vice City Bean is that there is only one location - but based on the love Miami has for this place, I doubt it will stay that way for long. This is not a place to go for a $1 coffee - you're gonna pay $4-$5 for a cold brew, but it's gonna be delicious and unlike any other coffee you've tried before. I guess it's a good thing that I can only make it to the location on weekends occasionally, because I could have one of those every day. I highly recommend the cold brew with vanilla flavor. Additionally, the lattes are perfection. I have tried some of the food, but mainly I am there for the brew. I love the artsy, hipster, yet comfortable and welcoming atmosphere there. The staff are great, always friendly, and very knowledgeable. The owners are awesome people, everyone is camped out, super chill - a dog-friendly establishment too. I tell everyone I know that they have to check this place out, so go on now!
With excellent coffee and plenty of food options, Vice is an excellent spot to chill out for a moment. The staff is very helpful and willing to answer questions about their coffee and since they've partnered with their roasters for a while, they are knowledgeable with what to expect in each bean. I ended up leaving with a bag of coffee from a local roaster for my Chemex at home after enjoying a cup from a renowned Arkansas roaster.
Pretty much my favorite coffee shop north of Flagler. First of all, everything is delicious. The food and the coffee is all super tasty which is important but the place itself is so great. It’s hip without being pretentious and still lowkey enough to not have to wait in a long to enjoy it.
One of the high-quality espresso stores in Miami. Coffee is notable and the baristas are so friendly. It's small, placed on the outskirts of wynwood so it is first-rate to head get paintings executed or join up with a pal without having to battle massive crowds. Always clean to find parking.
Absolutely a hidden gem in the city. People are super friendly, staff is great. They took the time to explain everything on their menu, even let me toast a couple of their cold coffee before making a decision. I had a almond milk latte, really a must with a banana bread (Which both the milk and bread are made in-house). Definitely recommend anybody in the area to come and chill.
Came here to do some work. Vice City bean has a bright, industrial look and design inside. The staff are extremely friendly. There is a slight hipness to the location. Free WiFi is also here, with a limited number of work stations, but the place wasn't too busy. Delicious coffee as well!
Been coming here for years — best coffee, awesome baristas, and Rachel is the best! ☕️💛
Amazing Coffee shop with plenty of options of pastries, croissants, empanadas and more. Perfectly located in between Brickell and Midtown, this coffee shop understands perfectly the coffee shop experience and provides its customers with amazing products as well as a great serene location. If you are just passing by, studying or working I highly recommend visiting them. Their coffee has a special taste and if you like lattes or capuchinos they have all types of milks. I tried their ham and cheese croissant and a chicken empanada and I will definitely come back again. Not on the cheap side, but the quality is worth the cost. Ed was always smiling through the order process and making the experience even better.
A hidden gem of a coffee spot! Very kind baristas, neat location, and solid drinks. I ordered a nitro cold brew and it was one of my favorites I’ve tasted, it was smooth. My wife got a strawberry matcha oat latte iced which she loved. Also the avocado toast and blueberry scone tasted great. It was fun visiting from out of town.
I don’t often make the time to write reviews, though I should because so many small businesses in the Wynwood/Downtown area have to compete with big corporate brands moving in with massive budgets and marketing power. Meanwhile, small owner-operated businesses wake up every day and run their shops with genuine passion for the local community. A community that’s incredibly transient in this area. But there are still plenty of us who call this place home, I have for 10 years and at Vice, the owner and staff make it feel exactly like that — home. Great coffee. Great community. Thank you, Vice, for continuing to care about quality and for preserving that familiar hometown feel in a bustling metropolis.
Best banana and chocolate cake I have ever eaten. Delicious. Rachael added an extra shot of coffee. Best coffee I have had during my stay in Miami. Fantastic. Lifesaver. Highly recommended. Thank you Rachael and Matt. (Visiting from Barcelona) Mark
Loved my visit to Vice City Bean. The vibe was great, and the staff made it even better. Samantha and Jose were super friendly and welcoming, which really stood out to me and I had a 10/10 pesto sandwich and Strawberry Matcha.
I feel like I'm back in Seattle when I go to Vice. Just a quintessential craft coffeeshop vibe, a great place to fire up the laptop and caffeinate. Their cold brew is always on point, and I inevitably end up buying beans to take home. It's been a go-to for several years, and a sterling example for future roasters here in Miami (if you're reading this, we need more of you down here!!!).
I visited Vice City Bean and really enjoyed the clean, modern space—it’s bright, comfortable, and the coffee tasted great without feeling rushed or crowded.
This is a great spot to swing by for coffee and a pastry or empanada, and to get some work done. Prices were a bit high, but that isn't surprising in Miami. It has a great atmosphere and wonderful staff and service. I would recommend this as a spot to stop by, get a quick but and coffee or tea and to work early in the morning. They have wifi and a good amount of seating - both counter space and tables.
Coffee and service were good. Liked the set up and the art they had on the walls. Lots to choose from but nothing crazy special about the place. The people working were kind but unable to make the coffee I showed them so I just settled for something they had on the menu. Would have liked them to be a little more flexible but no big complaints
One of my favourite did the used to use mad cap coffee which is excellent they recently changed to their own toast which in my opnion isn’t as good however I did have an amazing espresso on my recent visit and they finally fixed their sparkling water machine. All and all when they get it right it’s a really top notch espresso, they just sometimes are Inconsistent. But I do recommend this place especially after they fixed their sparkling
Vice City Bean is a hip coffee spot. You have to pay for parking around the area as it is in Miami. They offer hot espresso drinks, cold brew, and nitro brew, as well as hot & cold teas. A definite plus for us lactose intolerant people out there is that they have a variety of alternative nut milk options. They have a small selection of simple eats and desserts. The cold brew was pretty good but my tea tasted like water. I did enjoy the vibe of this spot more than anything else. If you go I would stick with the coffee and stear clear of the tea.
Great spot in the artsy Wynwood District of Miami. The coffee is good… a multi roaster… serving up excellent Americanos and Lattes. Food was ok… but still worth a visit as the coffee is the star. Love how the art inside reflects the culture that surrounds. Baristas we’re nice and friendly. Wonderful specialty coffee shop. Worth a visit!
Okay a little bias but the location is tough. Parking enforcement is waiting to get you. Parked for 10 minutes and had my car towed there was a second hidden sign saying no parking everyone misses. If you park here beware you'll be paying 200 for coffee. Coffee was okay passed the macchiato test but not enough to deal with the tragedy of parking. Be vigilant.
I like the idea of this coffee shop. It is situated in a Wynwood type neighborhood with lofts etc but the coffee was just okay. I also had a croissant that was also just okay. I needed a place with wifi and a place to get a quick bite. This fit the bill.
A decent vibe. Industrial but feels a little “used”. Not sure how to best explain that, maybe that it just feels like it needs a good cleaning. I’d work here for a while if I needed a coffee environment but probably not long. Coffee beans are Mad Cap primarily, and a few Onyx blends for espresso. Overall it’s a “meh, it worked” type of place for me.
The coffee is somewhat good, but if you’re looking for quality latte art, this might not be the place for you. They steam milk for multiple cups at once using the same milk steaming pitcher, which not only affects the milk steaming quality but also compromises the precision needed for proper latte art. It’s something they could improve to meet higher expectations.
I just can't understand how the reviews are so good here. We deliberately went about 20 minutes to reach this place because it looked cool and had good reviews, but our experience was pretty bad. First, the positives... The place looks very cool, stylish yet chilled. The mud pie was pretty good, the coffee was good too. The other customers here all seemed chilled. Cool artwork on the walls. The negatives... the server made us feel really uncomfortable. Pretty unfriendly almost stand off ish, got a vibe we weren't welcome, so we didn't stay long.
New to neighborhood and checked this spot out for a quick drink and bite. The employee was nice and was able to do “flat whites” for us instead of the regular listed latte. Ordered two avocado toasts with an egg on top. Asked to be sure that no cream or sauce would be in the bread to which she confirmed that there wouldn’t be any. We sat down and a few ministers later the flat whites were ready. They were delicious and at perfect temperature. About 10 minutes went by and I went back to the employee about the avocado toasts and she said she would check on our order and told us to wait another 5 minutes for them. When they were brought out to us the bread had a white cream. I asked what this was back at the register and none of the employees could explain what it was. There was a gentlemen by the bar area who said it was creme fraiche. I assume he was the manager and said that they could always make another. Honestly, I appreciated it but wasn’t going to wait another 15 minutes for an avocado toast. I ended up just eating the egg and avocado.
Food: Avocado Toast 😖 X white cream sauce. My wife was extremely disappointed with the avocado toast because it came with a white cream sauce which normally it never comes with. We ordered a sunny side up egg on top and it was over cooked to the point it looked burned, nothing sunny about it 🌞. Due to the white cream she did not eat it. Recommendation to the owner please read reviews cause another customer complained about the white cream. Service: They were polite. They brought the egg sandwich first. 6 mins later we had to ask for the avocado toast. Recommend to bring the food together. Coffee: Latte was very great!
Esperaba más del espresso, mal extraído muy acético. El avocado bien, no volvería
Update (Sept 2024): Thought I’d give this place another try. Nope. The barista still didn’t seem to know what was being offered on the pour over list and then he managed to brutalize a simple Ethiopian bean into a bitter undrinkable disaster. They have pour over machines, so I can only guess that either the machine isn’t dialed in or the grind is too fine or both. Why even offer pour overs? At $7+tip no less. Such wasted potential here. Old review: I have enjoyed the customer vibe here, which has restrained me from leaving an honest review, but after today it’s pointless. The service here I’ve experienced is rude and standoffish. I’ve spent $182 here in January alone, but the way I was treated today, I’m simply done going here. If you want to be treated with friendliness or at least respect, especially as a repeat customer, all I can say is that it hasn’t been my experience.
I was here last time maybe 10 months ago and they had one of the best coffees in town. The cappuchino was always so creamy and tasty. Now I came here with a friend, first it looks like they stopped using ceramic cups for coffee and even when we ordered both cappuchino and cortado for here, we got it in a paper cups. But that was the least of my worry. The coffee was so over extracted, burned, all together extremely hot and increddibly bitter that we litterally couldn't drink it. We threw away both of the coffees and Im really sad that such a great place with amazing quality coffees went so downhill.
I had an extremely disturbing and unprofessional experience at Vice City Bean. I was quietly checking my email on my laptop when the owner approached me with a rude and aggressive attitude, demanding that I make a purchase immediately. Before I could respond, he began cursing at me and told me to leave. What made this encounter even more upsetting was the blatant racism he displayed. As a Black man, I was subjected to offensive and stereotypical remarks, including him saying, “You Black people come in here and try to work from the coffee shop—go take that somewhere else.” His comments were discriminatory, uncalled for, and made other customers visibly uncomfortable. As I calmly said I would leave and began walking out, he pulled out his phone and started recording me without my consent. This was completely unprofessional, unnecessary, and felt like an attempt to escalate the situation rather than resolve it. I do not recommend this place to anyone. No customer should ever be treated with hostility, racism, or disrespect—especially by the owner. The owner is a compulsive liar about the way he treats people of color and the way he treated me he pulled his phone out and made a huge scene when I cooperated to leave based off the way he was treating me. I even had to speak to a resident next door living at Filling Station Lofts and they told me directly that he stereotypes people of color and is very racist towards them so I really don’t condone this place and the treatment that I received was diabolical! Avoid if you can.
There is a minimum purchase requirement to sit there, but they are not upfront about it. We stayed around 35 minutes as I had to hop on a call and while I joined the call, my husband got a banana & tipped $4. The staff made remarks implying it wasn’t enough to sit there (at that point we had been there like 15 minutes). When we asked how much would be sufficient, one employee said, “That’s not the point.” However, that is the point because at Coffee Shops, I rarely buy everything I want as soon as I get there but buy snacks as the day progresses. It’s fine to have rules, but they should be clear. I didn’t want pastries or drinks at that point of my visit, if I only want fruits, how many should I buy within the first 15 minutes to avoid being mistreated? Regardless, I won’t be returning because of the service. The employees displayed hostile behavior, and the business feels like one that tolerates, not welcomes. They want you to leave if you don’t spend the amount they arbitrarily decide as soon as you get there… Not a good experience for me. Thanks.
The staff are very nice, the manager is so Rude and disrespectful, imagine she's charging me, for honey 🍯 mind you I walk in, inside the store I said hi she was extremely rude to me I don't know if it because im black I'm not sure, I said hi to her she said can I help you I was like ok then I will continue Going there but this manager need better training.
Updated review 2026: Still 1 Star due to corporate staff. Additionally now the neighborhood has more choices for coffee. My updated review 2024: [1 Star] Difficult management. Not as wonderful as I once thought they were. My review from 2019: [5 Stars]. Great for morning coffee. Actually it’s the best coffee I’ve had in Midtown / Arts District.
