Crono Milano Reviews
Excellent place!
Our host in Milan recommended this place, and we couldn’t be happier. It’s a truly authentic, family-run Milanese trattoria, serving delicious local food. Highly recommended! Update: We’ve been here a few times now, and here are our favorite dishes: Risotto alla Milanese, Stinco Arrosto, Scaloppine al Marsala, and Affogato al Caffè. All absolutely delicious! 😋
We came here on a whim late at night after a long train ride, and we don't regret it! The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions at affordable prices for central Milan. The staff were extremely gracious despite our late arrival and the restaurant had a warm, homely atmosphere. For authentic, affordable Milanese food, I absolutely recommend Crono. Thank you!
Old style Italian Osteria, amazing food , super cheap , family owned
Such a great place to eat in Milan, really good food at a ridiculously cheap price and brilliant service from Roberto. If you don't like familiarity or fun banter then you probably won't enjoy it but it's a totally hidden gem.
Nice friendly place. Food is good and prices are low. And the owner is very funny!
Exactly what we were looking for as tourists in Milan. We can’t speak Italian and had to translate the menu which changes regularly. The host / chef was hilarious, eat here if you want to feel at home (if home is with your sarcastic and impatient dad.) Five of us ate incredibly well for less than €80 including wine and a few giant pieces of vegetable and ricotta pie literally straight out of the oven. Very close to the stop for the 33 and 19 tram.
Absolutely excellent food. As a foreigner to Milan, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Even though I don't speak Italian very well, the service was outstanding and I felt I was part of the family. The portions of food were very generous and very well priced. I went for a lunch special that included two courses, lots of bread, 1/4th of wine, and a coffee for 11€. I will certainly be coming back soon!
Simple + quality food at affordable prices. I ate penne all'arrabbiata and pollo alla cacciatora.
easy place where have a simple milanese dinner. super friendly (dont go there if you dont like to be treated with familiarity).
We came to Crono on a whim, the restaurant was empty when we arrived - having the whole place to ourselves which was nice, the ambience and decor was extremely cosy, only made better by the warmth of the staff who were very kind and welcoming (plus hilarious). The menu changes often (I think daily) but we had the ribs, the red wine and salsiccia risotto with a side of tomino. The food was fantastic and very well prepared. Highly recommended!
Food is good but service is too slow at lunch time. I waited 35 minutes for the first plate, and another 25 minutes for my second plate. They keep coming in new customers, but not that efficient to serve the food.
My host was friendly when she greeted me, but when I said a table for 1, the host looked at another employee who whispered something in Italian, and then the host turned to me and said “sorry we are full”. The restaurant was 80% empty. I just said thank you and walked out. I have no idea what that was about but I’m pretty disappointed because the reviews on the food looked very promising.
If you want to make your way across town to find its closed then go ahead. Wasted journey, don't advertise opening times if your not gonna be open
