La Rosa dei Venti Milano Reviews
Great food, very friendly service. Had the feeling of a long running family restaurant with a lot of love and attention
Many celiacs travel to Italy for safe food, and there are many options to do so, La Rosa dei Venti will however treat you better than any other - like you are the star of the show, like you're the reason they operate. With a chef who has been a celiac for 20 years and a staff that will assure you every step and every plate. We wouldn't pick anywhere else in Milano to have that "special meal"
Delicious, fresh and seasonal food, with proper service by the owner who has a stake in your meal and experience. Portions not too big, allowing you to enjoy a range of dishes and dessert if you choose, but still quite filling if you have a good appetite. Local-ish wines are available by the half-bottle which is convenient. (We had a tasting choice of the starters (this specific option was not on the menu but offered by the owner), the stuffed ravioli with eggplant, the seared tuna, and the ricotta-cinnamon-orange cake.) No terrace or outdoor eating, but the restaurant has an authentic (not commercial) Italian feel. This is not a touristy kind of place, but the menu has English descriptions below the Italian ones and the owner's English is good enough. Lots of regular locals come here, and the restaurant is featured in the Michelin Guide though their prices are reasonable. Tip: Reserve your meal late in the day or you might find yourself eating alone in the small restaurant which may feel awkward. On a Thursday evening, locals started arriving at 20.00/8pm.
The best tuna steak I’ve had. The place also has a lot of options to accommodate for a gluten free and a lactose free diet. Perfect for a date or a special occasion
We had an amazing time at this restaurant! The service was excellent, and the fish and seafood dishes were exceptional. The desserts were equally impressive. They have a great selection of wines and spirits—I highly recommend discussing your choices with the waiter. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and is situated in a fantastic location. I can't recommend this place enough!
Incredible dinner. Octopus was incredible as was the prawn pasta and the turbot with artichoke. Bonus points for being aware of celiacs and how to prepare food safely for us. This dinner was a dream. Highly recommended.
Delicious, celiac safe, gluten-free seafood in Milan from a celiac chef! Celiac or not I highly recommend it! The decoration is nothing fancy but the clientele is very local, the food is simply mouthwatering & the prices are very correct 👌🏼👌🏼 We tried the shrimps with sweet & sour onions, the shrimp lolipops, the tuna steak with sesame (ask for some lemon) & their seafood carbonara and they were all excellent and will definitely return next time in town. Grazie mille 🙏🏻🙏🏻
We went last night with a couple of friends and we were amazed by the great quality of the food, the attention to details, and the outstanding customer service experience provided by Fabrizio, the host. The seafood is fresh and tasty. And the seafood carbonara lived up the expectations and beyond... Moreover one of us is celiac and here he has found many great options and a super handmade focaccia instead of regular bread. Highly recommended it. We will be back for sure. Thank you Fabrizio and team.
This is the kind of place you want to go to in Milan to have some amazing food. The service is fantastic and the place feels a little bit like family. It is a seafood place so the non-seafood is very limited. I asked if I could have "some pasta with gambas" off the menu and they made the most amazing dish for me. I will be back!
