Shalto Milano Reviews
Amazing Persian/Iranian Food offers excellent quality dishes with authentic flavors. The service is top-notch, and the space is extremely clean and well maintained. Everything from the food to the atmosphere reflects great attention to detail. Highly recommended.
The restaurant is halal and very delicious. The appetizers were amazing — we tried the yogurt salad and chicken wings, and they were absolutely tasty. For the main courses, we had chicken and kebab with rice, and the flavor was indescribable. It was truly an exceptional experience that we really enjoyed.
We came here looking for a true taste of Persia, and it did not disappoint! We ordered the saffron-marinated shrimp, Persian minced mix, aromatic beef filet, and traditional Persian bread — every dish was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Elisa was very welcoming, kind and helpful, recommending the Persian tea, which was a highlight, especially with baklava after the meal. Highly recommended for anyone in Milan who wants to experience the Persian cuisine!
The staff was wonderful and the food was fabulous. My boyfriend even said he could have eaten everything on the table referring to the food on others plates. LOL. It was truly really great and we tried three different kinds of meats. We had the baklava which of course I do really love but this one was especially delicious because it wasn't too sweet and the layers were crisp, I could tell it was fresh! I will certainly go back again, it felt authentic and the music was great.
I have been at many great Persian restaurants across the world and I never thought that it would be in Milan where I would find the best one! The food is absolutely delicious, the service outstanding. You can taste the love for the food in every bite. I recommend anyone in need of a break from the pasta and pizzas in Milan to spend a nice dinner at Shalto.
We came from Sydney to Milan and decided to try this Persian restaurant — and it was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious, authentic, and far better than any other Persian restaurants we’ve tried in Sydney. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service was excellent, and the staff were very kind and professional. If you’re in Milan and looking for real Persian cuisine, this is the place to go. We will definitely come back!
We had a great experience at this Persian restaurant. For appetizers, we tried kashk-e-bademjoon and bal kababi served with fresh baked taftoon bread, both were absolutely delicious. For the main dishes, we had gheymeh, kubideh, and shishlik. While everything was enjoyable, the kubideh was especially delicious and really stood out, tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. It definitely exceeded my expectations. For dessert, we had saffron ice cream, which was so, so good! Overall, it’s a really nice place with authentic Persian food. Every bite reminded me of home. Highly recommended!
A Hidden Gem in Milan! Visiting from NYC with my Persian wife, we were surprised—and absolutely thrilled—to come across a Persian restaurant in the heart of Milan. Not only was it unexpected, but it also turned out to be one of the best Persian dining experiences we've ever had. The food was delicious—authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Each dish was presented with an artistic flair that made the experience all the more delightful. Portions were generous, perfect for sharing, and left us fully satisfied. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home. It’s clear they take pride in what they do. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable and heartwarming meal in Milan.
I had a great experience at Shalto Braceria Persiana. The service was attentive and welcoming especially that we were a group of ten people and the food overall was beyond excellent. The standout for me was the eggplant appetizer it was absolutely delicious and probably the best I’ve had anywhere. The main dishes were the highlight of the meal perfectly cooked and clearly made with great care and attention to detail. If I had to point out a couple of small downsides the لبن غران (Laban Ayran) was far too sour and unfortunately undrinkable. It really didn’t match the quality of the rest of the meal also, the portion of the bread served didn’t quite meet expectations a bit more would have made the experience even better. Still, these are minor notes in what was otherwise a fantastic dining experience i would definitely return for the food alone if im ever back in Milan again.
Shalto was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and refined—an elevated take on the Persian cuisine I know and love. The dishes were beautifully presented, full of authentic flavor, and clearly made with care. What truly set this place apart was the hospitality. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, going above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience. You can feel the passion behind every detail—from the decor to the service. If you’re in Milan and want a unique, heartfelt culinary experience, Shalto is a must. Can’t wait to come back!
Everything was absolutely perfect. The food was great, everything was just as it should be—but what stood out the most was the behavior of the staff. They were incredibly polite, attentive, and welcoming. On top of that, the environment and atmosphere of the restaurant made the whole experience even better. It’s a place you’ll definitely want to come back to.
Finally, an authentic Persian restaurant in Milan! Everything—from the quality to the portion sizes—was excellent. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making the experience even more special. After 13 years in Milan, this place truly felt like home. Highly recommended!
