Bombay Chaat House Milpitas Reviews
Update: Visited this place again. This time we tried makki ki roti and sarson ka saag along with Aaloo Paratha. All of it was AMAZING! Completely authentic and delicious. I really hope people show some more love to this place. Quantity of the food was good as well.. Old Review: Rating it a solid 5 for chhole bhature! Amazing, crispy and fluffy bhature! Chhole are really flavourful too… no unnecessary overpowering taste!
Always decent ambience, great food & great service. We love to dine in ,as well as take aways . Such warm place n great homely food. Quantity & Quality of meals are great 💯
Had a great experience at Bombay Chat. The aloo paratha and tea were really good — fresh, tasty, and comforting. What made it even better was the owner, who is extremely friendly and welcoming. Definitely a nice place to stop for a simple, satisfying meal. 😊
O my god love Bombay chaat’s food. Always serve Fresh and delicious food with best quality of food. I recommend to visit at least once . It’s 100% vegetarian restaurant.
Outstanding Indian food! The flavors were authentic, spices perfectly balanced, and the service was warm and attentive.
The food here is very good, and I really appreciate the simplicity of the place. However, I do wish the food disposal and garbage bins were kept outside or away from the dining area, as having them inside tends to attract flies. I hope the establishment sees this feedback, as I genuinely enjoy the food. Improving where the garbage is placed would make the dining experience feel cleaner and more sanitary. The bathrooms are actually very clean, which makes the garbage in the dining area stand out even more as a turnoff.
One of my favorite places to grab comfort food when I need a mood boost. The flavors are nostalgic, wholesome, and always hit the spot. If comfort had a taste, this would be it.
The food here is excellent 👌🏾. Really fresh food and very affordable compared to so many places in the bay area. The value, taste and quantity you get for combo lunches is great .. highly recommend
We have been getting vegetarian food from Bombay Chaat House for a few years. They have amazing food and variety of snacks. Their Almond Flour Panjiri is the very best. The best customer service.
We have been coming here for 8 years. Chole poori stands out. Aloo paratha for the price, quantity is good Paneer wrap stuffing is good and filling.
Overall: 3.5/5 My friend loves this place so she took me there for lunch and overall I thought its pretty good. Their chole bhature and dahi sev batata puri are great so I'd definitely getting those. Other than that its your average Indian vegetarian spot. Definitely worth trying.
Visited this Indian place twice because a friend said their paranthas are a must-try. The first time was fantastic – loved the paranthas, chai, and pani puri. However, the second visit didn't live up to the hype. The chole bhature and pani puri were a letdown; maybe a different chef that day? The service is usually quick, but when it gets busy, things slow down a bit. Despite the mixed experience, I might return for the paranthas, which were the highlight for us for sure. The atmosphere is decent, and it's generally a good place, just hit or miss sometimes?
Highly recommend this place to all Chaat lovers. They have very good options for chat, parathas and curry combos. They serve one of the best bread pakora I ever had. Their paneer wrap is also a must try. Prices are very reasonable. In their sweets section, I only tried Ras Malai, and it was really good and fresh.
I think the quantity of the food is good for the price you pay but the taste is just Okay. There’s nothing much special or super flavorful. It gives a very homemade feel.
This is a low-key vegetarian restaurant serving North Indian cuisine, sweets, and chaat items. I was happy to see typical Indian pastries here! I liked dahi papdi chaat and sev puri. It was a tad bit salty for others, but I generally like salty items. Dahi was served generously. Aloo Paratha is worth a try. Quite the quantity, delicious, served with boondi raita and pickle. Chole Bhature was okayish. I would say you can skip it. I have had much better tasting chole elsewhere. These were very homely types. Didn't feel like a professionally made chole. Bhature were of good size. The problem we faced was the loud cartoons and children songs they were playing on the TV. It was super irritating and hard to chit chat amongst ourselves. Some other music would have been better. It was probably for a toddler on another table, but that's not right. The child was not the only customer eating there. Overall, a value for money restaurant where rates are lower than other restaurants in the Bay area.
I am torn between 3 and 4 stars. Some of the items here are good and some are not. They are edible but did not taste well. Items I found to be good - baingan bharta, masala puri, raita, aalo paratha, roti and samosa chaat. Items that were not good - bhel puri, potato curry on the side of puri and regular puri. The tamarind sauce used in their chaat was more tangy and less sweet. But it is usually otherwise.
This was the worst food experience I’ve had in the Bay Area. We ordered Sarson ka Saag and Kadhai Paneer, and both dishes were extremely disappointing. The taste was off, and honestly, I cook much better food at home. After eating here, my mouth felt weird, and the food was so bad that I had to rely on saunf just to settle my stomach. And their free tea is just water, nothing else.
The curries here are bland, you gotta add your own salt for some flavor. Roti is good but sometimes it's not fresh because it arrives cold
