I absolutely love this place. Their food is always delicious. We had to wait about 1/2 hour to be seated because it was the lunch rush, but it was worth the wait. Took a friend to eat there for the first time, and she loved it too.

I ordered about 6 sushi rolls for about $65. It was so convenient to order them over the phone and pick them up. The rolls I enjoyed the most were the Texas, Teriyaki, Shrimp Tempura, and Spider rolls. They all had tasty sauces and tasted delicious!! I highly recommend these rolls. The Rain roll did not taste good because of the raw tuna, which had a mushy texture and odd taste. I also ordered the Philly roll. It's very thin. It's a nice snack. Overall, I loved most of the sushi rolls I ordered. 😋 I'd definitely ordered here again! If you're looking for a good sushi restaurant with reasonable prices, then this place is for you!

When your favorite sushi spot is closed on Sundays you end up at a new spot, and I can honestly say we were not disappointed. We paid a visit on 12/5/21. I will definitely be adding this spot to our list of places to eat when in the mood for Sushi! Since it was our first time here I wanted to make sure we tried a couple rolls and every single roll we ordered was plated beautiful and great in size. They all had generous amounts of flavor and everything was fresh. The Tuna jalapeño poppers we tried were so good! Spicy but good! I definitely would recommend trying them! The Miso soup was tasty and warm, always a great way to start our meal. Our favorite rolls of the night were the monster and red dragon. I had no complaints about this location at all, even with this place being slightly busy the service was fast and efficient. Our Waitress Ricky was fantastic and checked in with us often. She refilled our drinks and was attentive to remove sushi plates as they emptied. Love when restaurants have fantastic food and amazing servers/workers! We come here often for the Udon and also the rolls. The staff are very friendly and the food is always well cooked. I really appreciate the fact that the staff are always willing to accommodate changes to the menu. Love coming here and definitely recommend it.

Was pretty good and service was great. Quality of fish was fine, only complaint is the shrimp tempura both as an appetizer and inside the shrimp rolls were very tough, so chewing was a bit difficult, but otherwise- good!

The Texas roll was ok but not a flavor combination I would try again. My daughter had the Lion King Roll and she enjoyed it very much. The portions are average and quality of food used was good. Service and atmosphere were excellent. We have dined here on many occasions and have never been disappointed.

We ordered the bluefin nigiri, Kamakazi roll, and fresh oysters. Not bad, pretty good quality. I feel like my experience could have been better. It was very busy and there weren't enough servers.

Yamanashi The Moon Dragon

Osaka is generally known as "the fancy sushi restaurant" in Modesto, everybody knows about it because it's been on McHenry for so long. It's on the pricier side of sushi but it's great quality sushi. I still prefer Sushi Garden though.

This is our food from Osaka Sushi in Modesto! It was our first time here, and we always pass by it when we’re on McHenry! I think the fish is as nice quality and was yummy! My only complaint that the nigiri tasted really warm haha the California rolls were yummy and soft too! My sister’s udon had some good beef and a beefy broth! It was a pretty big portion too! My brother got the chicken katsu, and the outer coating was nice! This place was a little pricey for the food, so that’s where I’ll take off a star

Went for a crunchy roll and left with an eye roll 🙄 from the waitress. Orders a shrimp gyoza, crunchy munchy roll, cherry blossom roll and a chicken katsu bento. The strawberry mochi was a nice touch to the bento. Compliments to the chef at this restaurant.

Beautiful place, the tables are always clean. Most of the time its full of people. The smell isn't that good but the place and floors are really clean. The waiting area is small, but the parking lot is big, you will always find a parking spot available, they also have disability parking.

Great place to eat outstanding sushi. The parking lot was spacious. The interior was clean and gorgeous. My partner and I came here for our 2nd anniversary and concluded it was worth the drive from Merced. I especially enjoyed the Mangolicious Roll, Golden Phoenix Roll, and the Koriyama Light Cheese Cake.

I have gone to Osaka a few times and the food is delicious. On weekends this restaurant gets very packed and service is a little slower but during the week they are super fast. Regardless the food always comes out fresh, delicious, with a great presentation. I'd definitely recommend to anyone who loves sushi!
