El Cazador Modesto Reviews
The deluxe burrito eorth the price. The fajita presidente is worth the price for two people to enjoy.
Food was excellent and delicious. Generous portions made fresh and full of flavor. Happy out menu is a plus for small plates and drinks. So many options for drinks and food. Environment is chill/ relaxing and service is friendly. We had all the desserts but churros with ice cream was what I picked and was delicious. Quesabirria extra crunchy tortilla with rice and charro beans plate was outstanding. Definitely will go back.
I've gone to El Cazador for many ma years years and they never disappoint. The Food is fantastic. The bar is great. Service is fast and staff are always happy to see you. I Love El Cazador and have spent many birthday celebrations here.
We were taken to the family owned Mexican restaurant by some friends who live close by. They said it was a hidden gem in the neighborhood. Boy were they right. The food was really good. I loved my order and even the veggie options were tasty. If you are a fan of spice ask for the hot salsa. They won’t bring it out without a request.
Very good place for a sit down delicious meal. Great customer service. Very comfortable atmosphere. Me and my daughter shared a carnitas chimichanga with green sauce. It was so delicious we could not finish the whole thing. We also shared a Corona Rita. Which is a strawberry margarita with a Corona upside down on it. The chips and salsa or both delicious and fresh. Very affordable and lots of options to choose from. We will most definitely be back!
The food was amazing. My entire group said they each really enjoyed their plates. The drinks were 10/10. We had camarones a la diabla, pollo en crema, enchiladas verdes, enchiladas Rojas, carnitas, pork chops, california burrito, and pollo a la plancha. They were all delicious. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’ve eaten there many times and the food is awesome. Five or six times I’ve ordered takeout and it’s not so great. The last couple times I ordered the Alambres soft tacos with skirt steak. They are delicious if you eat them there but when you get them to go, the tortillas are so hard and crunchy. You better have your own flour tortillas at home. I think they might be using the microwave to warm the food in the plastic to go container it comes in.
OVERALL, THE EXPWRIENCE WAS MIXED. NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THE FOOD IT WAS GOOD. PRICES WERE DEFINITELY ON THE THE HIGHER SIDE FOR WHAT YOU GET. CUSTOMER SERVICE OKAY. NOTHING TERRIBLE BUT NOTHING STOOD OUT AS EXCEPTIONAL.
Ate here while waiting to try out the escape room next door. I ordered a shredded beef tamale plate. Water is not filtered. It just didn’t taste good and my stomach was very upset afterwards.
Not as great as it was but still an option for Mexican food. I think its more a staffing issue. The last few times I ordered food there was a mistake and once they even forgot my order! Everyone else at the table got their food but I went home hungry. Oh well that's why I haven't been going as often. It was my local place when I was craving a cheese enchilada or a cucumber margarita 🥒
Food was ok but was lacking authentic flavor and I believe shortcuts were taken here, I personally won’t be coming back here
This place was only ok. It was not authentic to me and I felt they are stingy with the meat! I ordered fajitas and they give so little it was practically flat on the plate. I always order fajitas from Mex restaurants and always get double or triple the size this place gave. My guy ordered the 7 mares soup and that too was filled with large cut vegetables even a huge 1/4 piece of cabbage head. I was dissatisfied and won’t go back again.
I won’t suggest anyone to go there. I bought some torta and some tacos that all soggy the fries were soggy. The torta was also soggy. The veggies were not fresh. This is what I pay $45 for !!!!
We’ve been here several times over a decade at different times. I used to enjoy coming here with my mom because she’s now 80 and enjoys the soup. Recently we have encountered so much rudeness from the wait staff. They seem to get annoyed when we ask for any changes or accommodation for an elderly person. Although the food is good here, I will never come back or bring other people like I have been. I won’t even recommended to anyone anymore. Very disappointing.
My fiancé are locals and we order 6 tacos from El Cazador today. The waitress was unfriendly on the phone, but took our order and said it would be ready in 15 minutes. When I got there 15 minutes later, the waitress said it would be another 10 minutes. I said okay and took a seat at the bar. 20 minutes later I got our food. That's 35 minutes.... for 6 tacos. It cost $27. The food started out quite good, but after getting through part of my meal, I noticed a short black hair in my food. It didn't look like it came from someone's head. See picture attached. Eat here at your own risk. We're fed up with the poor service, high prices and long wait times and will not be going back.
